2:15 Voiceover Adam Corolla, Dr. Drew.
2:17 Voiceover I'm not modeling anymore for the two of you.
2:19 Voiceover Loveline.
2:21 Adam Yes, it is Loveline. I'm Adam Corolla. He is Dr. Drew. Phone number 1-800-L-O-V-E-1-9-1, fax number 310-854-4455. Dr. Drew is a board certified physician and addiction medicine specialist. Our guest is urinating right now.
2:38 Drew He's waiting for half an hour to come on the air.
2:41 Adam As tradition would have it here on Loveline, our guest, we have a very, very loose policy. Ah, there he is. Henry Rollins is here. He's gotten out of the bathroom. He's sitting down. We're going to plug his CD tonight and any other thing Henry wants to plug. How are you doing, Henry?
3:02 Henry Rollins I'm fine. Why do they always have you guys in these kind of dark and roughed out studios?
3:07 Drew He sets the lighting.
3:08 Adam Sets the mood. What do you mean, I set the lighting?
3:11 Drew I like it.
3:11 Henry Rollins Why are you plunged in darkness? Are you ashamed of how you look?
3:14 Adam A little bit, yeah.
3:15 Drew Just ashamed in general.
3:16 Adam I feel fat.
3:18 Drew But last time I had it kind of brightened up, you came in, turned right back down to...
3:22 Adam Well, as you know, Drew, I don't get a lot of sleep and I like to start that process of winding down about 10, 15, 10, 20 to be fair to me.
3:31 Henry Rollins Are you hungover?
3:33 Adam Sometimes. I have a daytime gig and I like to just come here and see if I can start the unwinding process a little bit early. Put your cans on as we call it in the business, Henry, if you can find them. Let's talk about the new CD which is coming out tomorrow. Is that true? Yeah. Henry will be, by the way, for those of you in the LA area, will be at the Sunset Tower. Sunset Tower, yes. And that, is that the one in the heart of Sunset? Or is that the one, oh, that's the only one that's on Sunset, right?
4:07 Henry Rollins Yeah.
4:07 Adam Right in the heart of the Strip?
4:08 Henry Rollins It's the big one.
4:09 Adam Right. And starting at 7 o'clock, you'll be there signing your new CD, correct? And will also come out tomorrow. Is it coming out at midnight tonight or something like that?
4:21 Henry Rollins I don't think there will be a line around the block. I don't think anyone would care. But yeah, tomorrow it comes out.
4:25 Adam And it's called Get Some, Go Again. It's the Rollins band. We'll hear something off of that. I also, probably a couple of things off of that. I also have some dates that I'll alert you to, where you can find Henry coming up because he will be touring, supporting the sound.
4:43 Drew Are you still doing the spoken words now?
4:45 Henry Rollins Not now. Just got the band going from March until September. So I did 99 of those shows last year, but this year is mostly a band year.
4:52 Drew It's one every three days.
4:54 Adam That's crazy.
4:55 Henry Rollins It's a lot of talking.
4:57 Adam I know. We speak to Henry periodically, and these things go on anywhere from, I guess, two hours to three hours, sometimes the spoken word thing.
5:08 Henry Rollins Yeah.
5:09 Adam That just seems like a lot of talking. Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah. That's what I would be into at minute 35.
5:16 Drew Adam, you're a genius.
5:18 Adam I'm a genius and I can't talk that long. So Henry's a genius with a battery.
5:23 Henry Rollins I think you're more of a quality guy. I'm more into the quantity.
5:29 Adam That's right. That's right.
5:31 Henry Rollins When you say it, it's like a pearl of wisdom and you can give him 20 good minutes.
5:36 Adam Well, what I'll do is I'll take 20 minutes of speaking, but it'll be broken up with 10-minute applause and laughter.
5:42 Drew The dreidel song.
5:43 Adam The dreidel song. I can really stretch it out. I make rock soup out of my time on stage. So forget about the spoken word for now. You're back with the Rollins band. And is it just, I guess you love both of them, but I guess you can get burnt out on both of them too.
6:00 Henry Rollins Yeah. I try and do different stuff just so I'm not doing anything for too long. The band takes a long time because it's more than just me. So you got to get everyone together for band practice, for the tour. And so it takes a good nine months to realize a whole band tour or longer if you want to keep orbiting the globe. And this will be till the fall.
6:21 Adam Right. And are you looking forward to hitting the stage with the musicians now after being out there solo for a while?
6:29 Henry Rollins Oh yeah. Can't wait. We did 40 shows last year, everywhere from America to some festivals in Europe and had a great time. And we're doing a show, the MC5 have a Best Of record coming out the 7th of next month and they're having a big release party and we're playing that at Spaceland here in LA. Tuesday the 7th. So that will be the first gig of the year really.
6:53 Adam And also then, wow, are we in Canada at all? Yeah. This show going to Canada?
6:59 Drew We live in Vancouver and up there in Seattle.
7:02 Adam All right. Well, we'll, I'll give the dates out. We'll figure out.
7:05 Henry Rollins Outside Detroit and we're playing Detroit real soon.
7:08 Adam Yeah, they'll be, what the hell are they gonna be in Detroit?
7:13 Henry Rollins We'll find out later in the show.
7:15 Adam Very good. Yes, they'll be in Detroit on Friday the 31st. So coming up in just a few days. All right, we'll get on the phones. I'll give you guys the tour dates. We'll hear something off the CD and all that stuff. But first, the phones. Josh?
7:27 Yeah.
7:27 Adam Year 19, what's up?
7:29 Yeah.
7:30 I'm going to be real specific here real quick.
7:33 Adam All right.
7:35 I've been going on my girlfriend for almost a year, this March 16th. And about three months ago, we first had sex, and that was the first person I had sex with. And that was the first person, I was the first person she had sex with. And, well, we did it, you know, I was on top, she was on bottom the first two times. And then the last time after that, she wanted up the butt, so I did it. And we've done it about five times since. And it's always been up the butt.
8:08 Adam Right.
8:09 And I think it's really weird, and I want to say something, but she's real touchy-feely, and she gets real pissed off.
8:18 Adam I know how delicate the sensibilities of someone who enjoys being corn-holed on a regular basis can be. They're often pious people, and it's difficult to broach these kinds of subjects with them. They just want to talk about corn-holing and anything else can upset them. I know. My family is the same way.
8:38 Well, I mean, this is her first time doing it.
8:40 Drew That was rimming, wasn't it?
8:41 Adam Oh, that was rimming. You're right, Drew. Yeah, corn-holing, we can't talk about rimming. We can have open discussions on it.
8:47 Drew Dinner conversation for you guys.
8:48 Adam Yeah.
8:49 But how do I get her to, I don't know.
8:52 Drew I think you just tell her you're not comfortable doing this, that's all. Just tell her you don't like it. Nothing to do with her, don't make it feel like.
8:58 I don't like it up the butt.
8:59 Henry Rollins Josh, is that your basic problem? You don't enjoy it?
9:03 No, it's just that I do enjoy it because it feels good. But, I mean, it's...
9:10 Adam You don't want it to be the hub of the relationship.
9:12 Yeah, I want to do it the regular way.
9:14 Adam Right.
9:15 And it's, I don't know, it's not good.
9:17 Henry Rollins Well, you should tell her what you want and be open.
9:20 But for a scenario, right? Can I give you a scenario?
9:23 Drew Yes. All right.
9:25 Adam It worries me when we get into anal sex scenarios, but go ahead.
9:28 All right, just like, I don't know, okay. I'm in this band called App.
9:32 Adam Oh, no, no. I don't believe him already. He's just trying to get his band name in.
9:37 Yes, that's right.
9:42 Adam I should bring in my list. I sat down with a bunch of guys and came up with a list of good band names. The other day, Stinkfinger, Foundry. There may be a band called Foundry. I don't know. It sounds like a pretty good rock band though, right?
9:56 Drew Yeah. Yeah. Go see them in the heartbeat.
9:58 Yeah.
9:59 Adam Ashley, you're 17. What's up?
10:01 Caller Well, I had chlamydia about, well, I got, they found it, right? Last March or May? May.
10:11 Adam Yeah.
10:12 Caller So, well, I'd only been, well, I've been with some guys. I started having sex when I was 14. And I never had thought that I would probably have any diseases, STDs.
10:23 Drew Why?
10:23 Caller So I went and got checked. Well, I mean, I had had unprotected sex.
10:27 Drew Well, then you get STDs.
10:29 Caller Yeah. Well, I don't know. I just thought that they were all, that they all had symptoms.
10:33 Drew No, chlamydia does not. Chlamydia has nothing.
10:35 Caller Yeah, I know that.
10:36 Drew Or it has nothing.
10:37 Caller Well, I talked to my parents. I was really scared from watching some sex ed videos. And my parents took me to a clinic and I got checked out. And it turned out I had chlamydia. So they gave me some medicine for that. And I took the antibiotics. And then later on, I talked to the guy that I had had sex with recently. And this guy didn't have it. He went and got checked and he didn't have it. So that really worried me. That means that before him, I hadn't had sex for about a year and a half. So it means I would have had the disease for about maybe two years or so.
11:11 Drew That's possible.
11:12 Caller And that really worried me because when I was having sex with this guy, we had had sex like a lot of times and we didn't use condoms most of the time. So and then later on when we talked about it, he said that he like come to me just about every time.
11:28 Adam It's came to by the way.
11:29 Caller Well came whatever.
11:30 Adam Came duh, Edie.
11:32 Drew In her vagina.
11:33 Adam In her vagina.
11:34 Caller Yeah.
11:34 Adam A bunch of times?
11:35 Caller Yeah.
11:37 Adam You didn't know that at the time?
11:38 Caller No, I thought that he was faking.
11:40 Adam Oh, I see. And where was your head? Was it still attached to your body or was it in the other room? Where were you?
11:47 Drew And by the way, pulling out doesn't mean anything, right? Because the pre-ejaculate has tons of stuff.
11:51 Adam But what's he do? Like see one of these guys who puts a pillow on your head and holds it down?
11:55 No.
11:55 Adam Well, don't you know where he's going?
11:58 Caller Well, he'd pretend like he was coming into some rag or something, but obviously he wasn't. I never checked the rag.
12:04 Yeah.
12:04 Adam See, I always check the rag. I like a Rorschach. It looks like a butterfly. It looks like Lincoln's head.
12:10 Drew Ashley, what is the question?
12:11 Caller The question is, I still-
12:13 Drew What?
12:13 Adam He would fake it into a rag? Are you kidding me? How high were you?
12:20 Caller I wasn't high.
12:21 Adam Someone had to be high. Either it was you, him, or the rag. Something was high in that room. What do you mean? He's on top of you.
12:28 Henry Rollins So what's the question?
12:30 Caller The question is, I still have some cramps. I read up a lot on the chlamydia and stuff and how it can turn into pelvic inflammatory disease. And I was thinking, like, hey, I didn't get pregnant any of those times, which kind of freaked me out. Not that I wanted to, but, I mean, out of all those times. And then, like, I mean, and I still get some cramps. And I do get chills. And it just, like, scares the crap out of me that I might have pelvic inflammatory disease. I'm having it so long.
13:01 Drew No, no, no, no, no. You're confusing all these things. PID is a fairly acute syndrome. A lot of pain, often fevers, this sort of thing, discharge. And the indolent infection in the tubes that is really what tends to cause the infertility is probably what you, in fact, had. So PID, you may still have infection. You may even still have scarring and all sorts of things left over from the chlamydia. And that may be what's causing your symptoms. So it's important. And there could be another problem. So you've got to see a gynecologist. You probably will have to have a laparoscopy and really get completely checked out and followed and managed going forward to make sure that you don't have problems in the future. And again, there may be some fertility issues here that you want to stay on top of.
13:41 Adam This guy over here.
13:44 Drew Ragman?
13:45 Adam The Rag Mop, it's great. It's like, I got to keep a straight face when I'm having the orgasm so she doesn't know. And then five minutes later, I'll pull out. I'll grimace. I'll close your eyes. I don't want to see you get hurt. And then I'll just sort of ball up a sweatshirt and limp over to the hamper. What the? Do you think he was actually doing that?
14:08 Drew I think he was just mopping off and she was so out of it that she wasn't really paying attention.
14:12 Adam Sean, you're 21. I'm going to try that when I get home tonight.
14:18 Caller I was, the other night, my girlfriend and I were making out and I went down on her and then she was actually giving me a hand jab for a little while. And anyway, we were both at our pants down and I went back up and started making out with her some more and after a while, I started rubbing my, well, I haven't had sex before, so I kind of obviously wondered what it feels like, right?
14:46 Adam Yeah. Hey, Sean, you're 21.
14:49 Caller Yeah.
14:50 Adam Yeah. Hey, hold on. We say it all the time on this show. We have 21-year-olds who sound like they're 12, 13 years old, and then we have 12, 13-year-olds who sound like they're Vietnam veterans who have been driving a truck.
15:02 Drew For 20 years.
15:03 Adam For 20 years. I mean, Henry, it's absolutely amazing. We get guys like Sean at 21, they're like, I'm a virgin, and I was getting the hand from my girl, and I grabbed a boob, and it was cool. Then we get guys who are 13, and I was free-basing and corn-holing one of my bitches. My pager went off. I swear to God, Sean is the kind I like. He's 21, it sounds like he's 12.
15:34 Caller I didn't want to go into sex with anybody.
15:36 Adam I understand.
15:38 Caller Anyway, when I was actually on top of her, I rubbed my against her vagina and with your clothes on. No, we were both at her pants off. Anyway, I was worried about the possibility of her getting pregnant from maybe some pre-cum touching.
15:58 Drew I don't very unlikely. It is very unlikely. But when was this? When did this occur?
16:04 Caller It was Saturday night.
16:05 Drew Always can check out morning after pill if there's any concern at all.
16:08 Caller Yeah.
16:08 Adam But Sean, you're not that potent.
16:11 Caller Well, see, the thing is, I don't even know if the tip actually touched it at all, but I'm just paranoid now.
16:17 Adam No. She's not.
16:19 Drew And yes, you're paranoid.
16:20 Adam Yes, you are paranoid. And what's up with you?
16:23 Caller What?
16:24 Adam Are you religious?
16:25 Caller No.
16:26 Adam What's up with you? You're 21 years old.
16:28 Caller I, well, no, you know, it's, I don't, I can't get her pregnant. I just don't want to do that.
16:35 Adam Yeah. What are your hobbies? You play Dungeons and Dragons?
16:38 Caller No, I'm wanting to, I don't know.
16:41 Adam You're into something. You play in the basement. I know that. What are you into?
16:45 Caller School.
16:46 School?
16:47 Caller Yeah.
16:48 Adam College, I hope?
16:49 Caller Yep.
16:50 Adam Yeah. Four year?
16:51 Caller Four year, yeah.
16:52 Adam All right.
16:53 Drew Where you in school?
16:54 Caller I go in Chicago.
16:56 Drew What are you studying?
16:57 Caller Marketing.
16:58 Adam All right. All right, Sean.
17:00 Caller All right.
17:00 Adam Here we go now.
17:02 Caller All right. Actually, I got one more question.
17:05 Adam No. No. Sorry, Sean.
17:07 Caller All right. Thank you.
17:08 Adam That's all right. Let me call back in a year. Ed. You're 19.
17:16 Caller How's it going, Adam?
17:17 Good.
17:18 Henry?
17:18 Caller Yep. Well, my question.
17:22 Well, I'm really excited about the new album, of course. Been looking forward to it for some months now.
17:27 Adam Comes out tomorrow. Where do you live, Ed?
17:29 I'm living in Tucson right now, but I'm originally from Wyoming.
17:33 Adam All right. You catch one of the Southwest flights. You'll be out here tomorrow and you go to the tower on sunset at 7 o'clock. You meet Henry in person.
17:41 I'm somewhat financially challenged at this point, but.
17:44 Adam All right.
17:45 Henry Rollins You have a question?
17:46 Yeah. I was curious about the current lineup because I didn't see Melvin or Chris.
17:53 Henry Rollins What happened was at the end of 1997, we finished all the shows for the year and we all decided that there is really no more music for us to do together after 10 and a half years. It was time for us to go run and play with other people. So the guitar player went off and worked on Bowie's record. The drummer worked with the Jay Giles band. The bass player went off with DJ Logic and some other New York jazz bands, and the sound man went to Europe and started working with a bunch of European pop and rock bands. I went off and did this New Rollins band record with these, my new guys, and so everyone went their separate ways and immediately got involved with other stuff really fast. So, yeah, and the new thing is very hard rockin, real straight ahead, different than the last stuff.
18:41 I've heard these songs and I'm diggin it.
18:43 Henry Rollins Oh, cool. Yeah, so that's what happened. Everyone else's, the bass player, Melvin, just had a kid, so he's like, you know, into being a dad. So everyone's cool, you know.
18:51 Yeah, I hadn't heard anything, so I hadn't heard any horrible break up stories or anything.
18:56 Henry Rollins No, there wasn't. It was just, we all kind of went, okay, that was great. It's been 10 and a half years, now it's all time for everyone to run and do something else.
19:03 I had faith in y'all, so.
19:05 Henry Rollins Thanks.
19:06 And you're gonna be playing in Denver here in a couple months?
19:08 Henry Rollins Yeah, we never missed Denver.
19:10 I've missed you like the last four times you've been out in that neck of the woods.
19:13 Adam The, be at the Ogden Theater.
19:15 Yeah.
19:15 Adam Were we at the Ogden Theater? Where the hell were we when we were in Denver?
19:19 Drew The music hall at the University of Colorado.
19:22 Adam Oh, is that where we were? All right. Hey, Ed?
19:24 Drew Yes.
19:24 Adam Ogden. On the, on Friday the 12th.
19:28 I'll definitely be there. I missed you at the Bluebird last time.
19:30 Henry Rollins Yeah, so that show's got like oversold, man. No one made it into that show.
19:34 I've been in the acid rain of Denver for 40 minutes and...
19:38 Henry Rollins Well, make the Ogden show. It'll be rocking.
19:41 I have no doubt in my mind.
19:42 Adam All right, Ed. Thanks. Take care.
19:47 Let's see.
19:49 Drew You want this and then this. No.
19:52 Adam Weldon?
19:53 Yeah, hey. What's going on?
19:55 Adam You're 20. What's up?
19:56 Caller I don't know. A whole lot, man. Well, I've got a question. Well, I have a situation, actually, right now. I'm staying with my girlfriend and her mom found out that we've been having sex. Didn't seem that big of a deal to her mom. I mean, I'd known her all my life pretty much. But when we went to Panama City this last summer for a vacation.
20:24 Adam Yeah, true. We were in Panama City, weren't we?
20:26 Drew Yep.
20:27 Adam Florida.
20:27 Drew Yep.
20:28 Adam Yeah. A lovely country if you like waffles. That's my rap name, by the way, Henry. It's mayonnaise. That's my main mayonnaise. That's Snoop. I saw the man show, me and Jimmy over at Snoop's getting stoned today.
20:49 Drew Yeah. How'd you look high on TV?
20:50 Adam High. High as a kite. High as a kite.
20:53 Drew That's good. Nice message.
20:55 Henry Rollins So what's your man show thing about? You go hang out and talk about women you never really get to climb on?
21:00 Adam That's right. Well, yeah, that's-
21:03 Henry Rollins Is that basically it?
21:04 Adam That's basically it.
21:05 Henry Rollins I haven't seen it yet, but with you, I have a feeling-
21:08 Adam Oh, you're going to- I brought a tape for Drew tonight, so we'll take a look during the-
21:12 Henry Rollins Bouncy, Bouncy.
21:13 Drew Let's watch.
21:14 Adam All right. So, Weldon, so what the hell happened? You're on vacation.
21:18 Caller Yeah.
21:18 Adam And?
21:19 Caller Well, me and my girlfriend's mom were really close. And like I said, we've known each other since I was born pretty much.
21:29 Adam Get to the part where you're screwing her.
21:31 Caller Well, all right. Me and her mom, we're up in this hotel, in this condo, man. We're drinking and stuff. Next thing I know, we're messing around and I ended up screwing her mom.
21:43 Adam Okay. And where's your girlfriend during this time?
21:47 Caller She's out on the beach with her friend. So, I mean, we had a lot of privacy and everything.
21:53 Adam How old's her mom?
21:54 Caller Her mom, she's old enough to be my mom.
21:57 Drew How old would that be?
21:59 Adam So, it's amazing. Yeah. Well, you're dating her daughter, so it would make sense.
22:05 Caller Yeah.
22:05 Adam Yeah.
22:06 Caller Well.
22:07 Adam Now, what's your question?
22:08 Caller Oh, man. Well, this has been going on. I've still been having sex with her mom for like the past nine months.
22:15 Henry Rollins Does your girlfriend know?
22:17 Caller No, she still doesn't know.
22:18 Drew You gotta get out of there.
22:19 Adam Where's dad?
22:20 Caller Dad's living there, man.
22:22 Drew Oh, this is ridiculous.
22:23 Caller Like, my girlfriend's getting real suspicious about it.
22:26 Adam Sure.
22:29 Drew She's really tuned in.
22:30 Adam Yeah. She's sharp as a tack, that girl.
22:33 Caller Do what?
22:34 Adam She knows.
22:35 Henry Rollins Yeah, she gets her awareness from her dad, right?
22:38 Adam Yeah.
22:38 Caller I hope not. But, man, I really don't know what to do.
22:42 Adam Now listen, wait a minute. Well, is the dad and mom still married, and they're still living under the same roof?
22:49 Caller Yeah.
22:49 Adam And where are you having all of this sex?
22:52 Caller We go out places, man. We go to concerts and stuff. I had sex with her mom's friend at a concert, and her mom don't know about that yet. And, like, all this stuff is starting to come around.
23:04 Henry Rollins You're a real mover, man.
23:06 Caller Man, all this crap is, like, starting to come around, and everybody's starting to get real suspicious about any crap.
23:11 Henry Rollins You should get out of there, man.
23:12 Drew Yeah.
23:13 Caller And I don't...
23:14 Adam Hey, who's that in the background, you idiot?
23:17 Caller That's my friend.
23:19 Adam All right. Listen, listen. What does her husband do? Drive a truck or swing a hammer?
23:24 Caller Well, he works for Watkins. It's a truck driving place.
23:28 Adam All right. There we go. Perfect. He's going to take his truck. He's going to run over you. Yeah, I'm telling you. I know he's got a gun.
23:37 Caller Oh, man.
23:37 Adam I'm sure he has a gun. He has to have a gun. He's going to shoot you.
23:41 Caller His son likes to hunt a lot.
23:43 Adam Yes. Okay. You're next. Consider yourself an endangered species.
23:47 Drew Get out of there. Get away from these people. You're harming all of them. Just get away.
23:52 Adam No.
23:52 Drew Leave them to their own little hell. They've got no doubt.
23:56 Adam They've created for themselves.
23:57 Drew Yeah. They live in an awful situation. But he is the source of problems now. Needs to extricate himself from all that.
24:02 Adam All right. Well, Henry Rollins is our guest tonight. We will take ourselves a little break. We'll come back. We'll hear something off the New Rollins Band CD. Also, yeah, that's that call is revolting. We won't take that call. We'll take another one after this.
24:23 Loveline will be right back.
24:53 Adam Yep, it's a loveline. I'm Adam Corolla. He is Dr. Drew. Henry Rollins is our guest tonight. The Rollins Band is back starting tomorrow. Get Some, Go Again is the name of the CD. You can find him on the Sunset Strip seven o'clock tomorrow, signing the new CD. We'll hear something off the new CD. I think we'll take a phone call first, and then we'll hear something off the new Rollins Band CD. Devin? Devin?
25:17 I masturbate three to five times a day.
25:19 Adam Alrighty.
25:20 Caller And yesterday, I was whacking it, and my penis started stinging really bad. And I looked down, and there was this big patch of open sores around the foreskin.
25:30 Adam Right.
25:31 Drew Oh, well.
25:36 Adam That's David Alan Greer throwing up everybody. Yeah? Well, maybe you ought to cut back. Yeah, right. Okay. Well, since that's not an option, what should he do, Drew? Listen, when I was 14, that wasn't an option either. I had people begging me to go from nine times just down to seven times a day. I wouldn't have any of it. I ran away from home.
26:00 Drew You have to stop, Devon. You got to let the thing heal. What's going to start happening is you're forcing it to start narrowing and stricturing. And the head of the penis won't be able to come out.
26:09 Caller Yeah, because they were bloody.
26:11 Adam All right.
26:12 Drew You wore it off.
26:14 Adam Devon, you're not using Prel, are you?
26:16 Caller No, I'm using Nivea.
26:18 Adam You mean Nivea?
26:20 Caller Yeah, whatever.
26:21 Adam All right. He doesn't sweat the details. He has another question. Listen, why do I get the feeling all these calls tonight are bogus?
26:27 Drew Half of them have been, that's why.
26:28 Adam What is that?
26:29 Drew It's one of those nights.
26:30 Adam We don't, you know, people assume that's what we get all night, but we don't and we know it. Yeah. And I can feel it tonight and I haven't had this feeling in a while. Idiots.
26:41 Drew Like this one, I bet that's one.
26:43 Adam Really? You want to see? All right, let's see this real fast. Jason?
26:49 Caller Yeah?
26:49 Adam You're 20.
26:50 Caller Yeah.
26:51 Adam You had sex for five minutes with a girl who tested positive for HIV.
26:55 Caller Well, not complete sex. I was just up inside of her without a condom for five minutes.
27:00 Adam Okay.
27:01 Drew What would complete sex be then?
27:02 Adam Well, in the eyes of the Lord, that's what it's called.
27:04 Caller Well, it was in her course, but it wasn't completed.
27:07 Adam Hey, listen.
27:08 Drew Help me understand what would complete it.
27:10 Adam For most our listeners, five minutes is two or three times.
27:14 Drew What would complete it? I'm really confused. What would complete it be, in your opinion?
27:17 Caller Until you went, until I came or she came or.
27:19 Drew Okay, complete it is your penis goes in the vagina.
27:22 Caller Okay.
27:22 Drew Okay, that's completed.
27:23 Adam Well, yeah. So what if you have the orgasm in four minutes? Does that mean you're safer or less safe than now?
27:30 Caller No, that would be completed though.
27:31 Adam All right. Well, who was this girl? How do you know she's HIV positive?
27:35 Caller Well, I've just heard from a friend that because she moved away about a month ago.
27:40 Adam To Aidsville?
27:41 Caller Huh?
27:41 Adam No. She moved away.
27:43 Caller Yeah.
27:44 Adam So there you go.
27:45 Henry Rollins Is there any way you can contact her?
27:47 Caller No, I can get a phone number, yeah.
27:49 Henry Rollins Well, you should and you should get to the bottom of it and resolve it.
27:52 Drew Absolutely.
27:53 Henry Rollins Otherwise, you're just operating on hearsay.
27:54 Drew And you should be tested.
27:55 Henry Rollins That's no good.
27:56 Drew You should be tested.
27:56 Henry Rollins And you should be tested. Absolutely.
27:58 Caller But my question, I got two questions, is what's the chances? And another thing is I thought AIDS really wouldn't show up in the blood test for about the first six months.
28:08 Drew Up to six months. How long ago was the contact?
28:14 Caller About a month, a month and a half ago.
28:15 Drew All right. So it may not have turned positive yet. Have you had any illnesses in that six-peak period?
28:19 Caller I know. I haven't.
28:21 Adam What about one of those DNA high-falutin tests where the porn industry uses or something like that?
28:27 Drew Right.
28:28 Adam Can you get one of those?
28:28 Drew You could.
28:30 Adam Jason?
28:30 Caller I just found this out close to an hour ago myself.
28:34 Adam Okay. Well, go get yourself tested.
28:36 Drew Get hepatitis B and hepatitis C also while you're at it. Yeah. Again, all it takes is the body fluid contact. It has nothing to do with ejaculation.
28:46 Adam But don't freak him out. You probably don't have anything.
28:49 Caller Yeah.
28:50 Adam A, she probably doesn't. Then B, even if she does, you probably don't. But get tested anyway.
28:55 Caller Okay. There's another question I got real quick. If I was to get tested, see, my friend told me I can go to the blood bank.
29:02 Drew No, no.
29:03 Caller I can get tested for free.
29:04 Drew Yeah, you can. But that's not, you understand, you may be in that window period where you could be producing virus and not have antibody yet.
29:12 Caller Yeah.
29:13 Drew So they certainly don't, well, they don't want risk people going to the blood pool.
29:18 Caller Yeah.
29:18 Drew Okay. So it's not considered an appropriate way to get screened.
29:21 Adam All right.
29:22 Caller But so the chances aren't very likely, if she had it, I don't have it.
29:27 Drew Jason, there's a possibility if she had it, you have it. There's a possibility.
29:30 Adam It's very remote. All right.
29:33 Caller Okay.
29:33 Drew But you have to get tested.
29:34 Adam But you get tested. It's not so remote that you shouldn't get tested. But it's remote enough so you can go to bed tonight.
29:40 Caller Okay.
29:41 Henry Rollins And from now on, think about what you're doing before you do it.
29:45 Caller Yeah.
29:46 Adam There you go.
29:47 Caller I usually use condoms, but I will for now on. There you go.
29:50 Henry Rollins You'll be all right.
29:51 Adam All right.
29:52 Caller Thanks.
29:52 Adam All right. He usually uses the condom, but if the chick has AIDS, he goes in bare back. All right. We will hear something from the Rollins band. This is off of Get Some Go Again, and this one is called Illumination. That would be the Rollins Band, everybody. And you can find Henry tomorrow at the Tower Record on Sunset. And I think I'll give these things out. Seven o'clock, by the way, signing the CDs or whatever the hell else you bring. Well, we'll just start. He'll be in Detroit on the 31st of March, as we mentioned before. He'll be in Chicago on the 1st of April. 2nd Cleveland, 4th Providence, Rhode Island. Boston on the 5th, the 6th. Again, of April, he'll be in New York. 7th will be in Philadelphia. And the 8th, he'll be in Washington, DC. And then it's back to LA for 3 nights, 3rd, 4th, and 5th, all at the Whiskey in Los Angeles. Vancouver, British Columbia on the 9th. Now we're in May, by the way, if you haven't been paying attention. And as we talked about, the Ogden Theater in Denver on the 12th, the 13th of May, he'll be in Lawrence, Kansas, and Minneapolis on the 14th. And that's as much as I have on the sheet. So I think we're in all those places, aren't we, Drew?
34:24 Drew A lot of those places.
34:25 Adam So if you're in one of those places and you heard me make a mental note because Henry's coming to town and he's barren rock. Janee, Janee, you're 21.
34:43 Caller What's up?
34:44 My boyfriend and I have been together for four years, and we've only slept with each other. And we've talked about getting married, but not until we're out of college. And right now he's saying that he wants a chance to sleep with someone else to see what else is out there and to get rid of the curiosity. He's saying basically if I don't agree to this, but also letting me do it at the same time, that maybe there's more of a chance that he would have an affair if we were married.
35:15 Drew Well, he's giving you all kinds of strange messages.
35:17 Adam Interesting. Well, first it's not okay with him if you do it. He's just putting that out there because he knows you're not the type of person who would do it.
35:24 Drew He also assumes as soon as he goes out on the street he's going to have no problem.
35:28 Adam Yes.
35:28 Exactly.
35:29 Adam That ain't true. No, don't work that way. I got two TV shows and a national radio show. I can't get laid.
35:37 So.
35:37 Drew Are you okay Adam?
35:38 Adam Yeah, it hurts.
35:39 Drew I thought a tear came rolling. It hurts.
35:41 Adam I know because this is why I got into this. So he has a fundamental point, but he's still trying to send a message and it's not a real good one.
35:52 Drew Well, the problem is he knows that he needs to go out and explore who he is with other people. The problem is he wants to keep you sort of imprisoned while he goes and does that. That's not fair. You guys need to break up. By the way, he won't do what he needs to do if he's still involved with you. He'll keep coming back to you all the time and he won't have any luck out there.
36:12 Adam Yeah, he won't. You guys been going out since you were 17?
36:15 Drew Yeah, 16. But I do think what his instincts are telling him are in fact probably wise. That people do need a chance to figure out who they are in a relationship, away from the relationship they started when they were a young teenager. And you do too, although women are much more mature and much more able to handle real relationships.
36:31 Henry Rollins Yeah, but in that age group, man, you're going to be so different than, in two years from now, you'll be so different than you are now.
36:37 Drew Yeah.
36:37 Henry Rollins In fact, you should write down the date and the time that you made this phone call in two years from now.
36:41 Drew Call us back.
36:42 Henry Rollins Remember this night and you'll see what I'm talking about. You're going to go through a lot of changes and so is this guy.
36:48 Drew It needs to be a part.
36:49 Adam Is there a person, and Drew you can include your wife in this if you like, that you're, well, I guess you can't actually because you're still with her, but that's just for a few more months, right?
36:59 Drew What do you want to say?
37:01 Adam Here's what I'm saying. Is there anybody, I'll put this to Drew and Henry and myself, who you regret not being with anymore? You know what I mean? Whether it was some girl from high school or someone from college or someone from when you're in black flag or someone from when I was cleaning carpets while Henry was in black flag. You know what I mean? I mean, it just all falls under the heading of experience. There's some people you miss more than others, but ultimately you're glad you didn't marry the chick you went out with when you were 19.
37:30 Drew Absolutely. I've occasionally heard people say, oh, this was the one that got away. I find that to be such a strange remark.
37:36 Adam I never had that feeling.
37:37 Drew No, no way.
37:38 Adam Henry, have you ever had that feeling that one got away?
37:41 Drew No.
37:42 Adam Yeah.
37:42 Drew In fact, I haven't had that either. My sort of thinking on that isn't, well, why'd you settle then where you were? What was, what, what is going on? You know what I mean?
37:49 Adam Right.
37:50 Drew If you had something more that you knew you needed, what are you doing?
37:52 Adam Yeah. What a horrible way to go through life, by the way.
37:56 Drew Yeah.
37:56 Adam That's the job that got away, that's the house that got away, that's the girl that got away.
38:01 Henry Rollins The kind of relationship you've been in for four years at the age you're at, I think young people should be checking out lots of different, not necessarily lots of different partners to sleep with, I'm just saying lots of different friends and acquaintances and kind of friendships and all kinds of stuff. I don't think it's healthy to nail yourself down to one person in 17 with plans to marry, that's just unrealistic. Because it's going to be really unrealistic for the guy because he's going to be real curious.
38:29 Drew You can't just look at the data.
38:30 Adam All right, we will take ourselves a little break. Henry Rollins is our guest. We will be back after this.
38:39 Henry Rollins Let's have some more fun.
38:42 Call Loveline, 1-800-LOVE-191.
38:47 Loveline will be right back.
39:22 Adam Yep, it is Loveline. I'm Adam Corolla. He is Dr. Drew. Phone number 1-800-L-O-V-E-1-9-1. Henry Rollins is our guest tonight. Henry can be found in the middle of the sunset strip at the Tower Sunset tomorrow, seven o'clock, signing CDs because his new CD will be released tomorrow. And also, he's kicking off a tour. So plenty of places to find Henry, including here. And we'll go back to the phones. Ryan?
39:51 Caller Yeah.
39:51 Adam Year 21. What's up?
39:53 Caller Hey, guys. Long time, listening to our first time caller.
39:55 Adam Great.
39:56 Caller Big fan. I had a question for Henry.
39:58 Caller I was about the PBS special.
40:00 Caller They aired last Saturday night. And it was really interesting to me to see the intense music going on coming out from you. And all these people were just sitting there with almost no expression except for a couple of people. They were just really getting into it. I was wondering what that was like for you to play that.
40:18 Henry Rollins That was at Sessions on West 54th Street thing.
40:20 Caller Yeah.
40:21 Henry Rollins Yeah. We went in there and set up and we're playing away, as you saw, and there's a very polite crowd just watching us. And three or four songs in, I was not aware of them at first. And I started going, wow, look, we're being, we look like a museum piece or something. And so I just had to kind of not pay attention to them and just get into the music and just have a good time with me and the guys. So that's what we did.
40:49 Adam But who did they think they were going to see?
40:51 Henry Rollins Well, I think they there's just an audience to come see who's ever there. I mean, they're polite, but they're just sitting very still. And at first I thought maybe we're bombing. And now we're playing well. They're just, you know, they're kind of confined. And it might not be the thing they were bargaining for. Who knows? But yeah, it kind of caught me off guard for a while. And then I just stopped thinking about them and just got into the music.
41:16 Caller Yeah, I was surprised when I first heard that you were going to be doing that show. I had seen it before.
41:20 Henry Rollins It's a lucky break for a band like us, man.
41:22 Caller It was a fantastic show. I was glad to see you guys do it.
41:25 Henry Rollins Thanks.
41:26 Adam Thanks, Ryan.
41:27 Caller That's it.
41:27 Adam Take care. Say good night to your girlfriend or sister or whoever that is.
41:31 Caller Well, the girlfriend.
41:32 Adam All right. John?
41:36 Drew Yeah?
41:36 Adam You're 19. What's up?
41:38 Caller My girlfriend and I had sex about 58 hours ago. And the condom slipped off.
41:42 Drew 58 hours, OK?
41:43 Adam Yeah.
41:44 Caller I was just timing in.
41:46 But we went to local Planned Parenthood.
41:49 Caller And we got the morning after pill. And she puked around three or four hours ago. I was just wondering if the morning after pill will still be effective.
41:55 Drew When did she take the pill?
41:57 Caller Like 48 hours after.
42:00 Drew So 12 hours?
42:02 Caller It was about six hours or so before she...
42:04 Adam Hey, listen. Are you in the military, John?
42:06 Caller No.
42:06 Adam Well, would you stop with all these hours? My head's gonna explode.
42:10 Drew She took the pill and then vomited how many hours later?
42:12 Caller Probably around six or seven hours.
42:14 Drew That's fine. She vomited because it's absorbed into her system. That's what made her nauseous.
42:17 Adam Oh, really?
42:18 Drew She needs to take the second dose, though.
42:19 Adam When you take, in general, and it probably varies from pill to pill, but when you eat anything, whatever it is, and then you vomit, if you vomit an hour later, is it already in you?
42:30 Drew It depends on what it is, frankly.
42:32 Adam What about if it's something poisonous, let's say, just as an example?
42:36 Drew I mean, if you take cyanide, what do you mean? I don't know.
42:39 Adam If you eat some Drano or something, you got to vomit that second?
42:42 Drew No, it's over already.
42:43 Adam Oh, it is?
42:44 Drew It burns your esophagus and everything, going down until it kills itself.
42:48 Adam All right.
42:49 Caller I had another question just about that.
42:51 Adam So she vomited six hours later because it was being absorbed?
42:54 Drew Yes.
42:55 Adam Okay.
42:55 Drew Had been absorbed, yeah.
42:56 Adam Beauty.
42:56 Caller Well, she has motion sickness medicine, she'd take more of that before the second dose.
43:00 Drew What's the medicine?
43:01 Caller I'm not sure.
43:02 Drew Adderax, dramamine, something like that?
43:04 Caller I think the first one.
43:05 Drew Adderax?
43:06 Caller Yeah.
43:07 Drew Or antivert?
43:08 Caller Yeah, catamate, that sounds right.
43:10 Adam How much was that morning after pill? Did they charge you?
43:13 Caller Yeah, it cost $40 plus motion sickness medicine.
43:17 Adam Really?
43:17 Drew Compazine, they gave her compazine?
43:19 Caller And the morning after pill she took wasn't the two pills, like they gave her eight pills to take, four for the first dose and four for the second.
43:25 Henry Rollins That's low overall, right?
43:27 Caller Is that just as effective?
43:28 Drew Same exact thing.
43:29 Caller Okay.
43:29 Adam And they gave her-
43:31 Drew They still charge her all that for that?
43:33 Adam 40 bucks for the pills and the motion sickness stuff to keep it down?
43:37 Caller Yeah.
43:38 Is that pretty expensive?
43:39 Adam Sounds a little-
43:40 Drew Maybe you probably- You may have spent more for the anti-nausea medicine, do you think?
43:44 Caller Yeah, it was five bucks for the anti-nausea.
43:46 Adam Oh, okay.
43:47 Drew So, 35 bucks. Did they give her a whole packet of pills and said just take four now and four later?
43:52 Yeah, she said they were actually just-
43:54 Drew Birth control pills.
43:55 Birth control pills.
43:55 Drew Yeah, it's low overall.
43:56 Adam So, they gave her months' worth?
43:57 Drew Yeah.
43:58 Adam Okay. All right, John.
43:59 Drew All right, thanks a lot.
44:00 Adam All right.
44:02 Drew It's interesting. I wonder why they didn't have the-
44:04 Adam Why they didn't have it in its-
44:06 Drew Well, I just talked to Planned Parenthood tonight, and they get involved with Plan B, and they've got Prevent, and they've got it.
44:11 Adam Well, maybe it wasn't in the one he was calling from. He may not have been out here in Southern California.
44:18 Drew It was the national people that were talking to him. Anyway, Eileen?
44:20 Caller Yes.
44:21 Adam You're 21?
44:22 Caller Yes.
44:22 Adam What's up?
44:23 Caller Well, I had a question about the female condom. I've been taking birth control pills now for, I guess, the past, like, I don't know, four years. And I don't know. My boyfriend is kind of concerned that they're doing something weird to my brain, I guess.
44:41 Drew Like what?
44:42 Caller Well, I don't know. He says that I just get really crabby all the time.
44:46 Drew Maybe you're just depressed.
44:49 Not all the time.
44:50 Caller I'm sorry. He's on the other line with me right now.
44:52 Drew What pill are you on?
44:53 Adam What's your name?
44:53 My name's Mike.
44:55 Adam Mike.
44:55 Drew What pill are you on?
44:56 Adam Interesting angle blaming the pill.
44:58 Drew Yeah, exactly.
44:58 Adam In fact, a mental condition.
45:00 Drew Not at all.
45:00 Adam I like that. No, I mean, it's smart.
45:02 Drew The pill is the treatment sometimes for some of those sorts of conditions, by the way. But go ahead. What is actually the problem?
45:08 Caller It's orthotricycline.
45:10 Drew But what is the experience you're having? What is the problem?
45:13 Caller Well, I don't think I'm having a problem.
45:14 Henry Rollins Oh, here we go. That's the problem.
45:17 Caller Yeah. He just thinks that I'm just kind of, you know, my mood. I have really bad mood swings on me.
45:23 Henry Rollins Sounds like you're a female to me. You know, I wouldn't be blaming it on the pill. I think that kind of male-female friction is two-thirds of the reason why the world keeps spinning around and around.
45:33 Drew It's reasonable for you to try off the pill to see if it makes a difference, but don't be surprised. It could get worse.
45:38 Caller Okay.
45:39 Adam Does it happen during a certain time of the month or something, or is it just all year round?
45:44 I would say yes. I would say it would be during the time that she takes the blue pills. There's a cycle of white pills, and then there's about five days of blue pills. During the blue pill cycles, she gets kind of crampy and angry.
46:04 Drew It may get better. It's worth trying off. I agree, but it might get worse.
46:08 Adam Before you just go off memory, Mike, once you head down to the basement, and pull the file on Eileen, and just substantiate some of those allegations you made, go as far back as, let's say, December 94, 95, and let's pull that data, pull that graph up, and let's take a look at that. I can see Mike with like a easel and pointer stick. Eileen, could you get the lights here? Now, here we are when we met at Disneyland.
46:36 Drew The Beck Depression Scale.
46:37 Adam This is April 94. And as you can see here, you see the red line indicates your mood. The blue line is your mood after taking one of the blue birth control pills. Now, Jesus Christ, Mike, you got a lot into this.
46:52 Caller Is there an actual scientific data that says that they kind of mess with hormones and emotions and stuff like that?
47:02 Drew In some women, the progestational agent can add to irritability more than the estrogen. And so when she gets on the progesterone elements, that could contribute to this. But some women have more of that circulating when they're premenstrual anyway. And so it can actually get worse when they come off the pill. But it's possible that she's having reaction. I think it's worth trying a couple of months off to see if it gets better. But don't be surprised if it gets worse.
47:24 Henry Rollins Or just give her a Visa card and don't answer the phone for five days.
47:28 Adam Mike, you need to pick up some hobbies or get the cable fixed.
47:31 Henry Rollins Three Black Sabbath albums. Call me in the morning.
47:34 Adam All right. Mike, Mike, what do you do for a living?
47:39 Caller I just graduated college.
47:40 Adam All right. Find a job. Find a job.
47:42 Henry Rollins Junior statistician.
47:44 Adam Get busy. Do you hear me? Stop looking in your girlfriend's vagina. I don't mean physically, but I mean.
47:51 Drew He seems to want to control her. Yeah.
47:54 Adam Perfect.
47:54 Drew Perfect.
47:55 Adam I know it sounds funny, but it's a little spooky. I noticed when she takes the blue pills, she's this way and when she takes the white placebo pills, there's no reaction in the patient. I mean, Eileen.
48:06 Drew Yeah.
48:06 Adam Yeah.
48:06 Drew She's just a person. No, no, no. Break. Break.
48:08 Who knows what goes on in the old vagina?
48:12 Drew All right. Quite a beat there.
48:12 Adam I was like, you keep rocking out to it. Henry Rollins is our guest. We'll take ourselves a little break when we come back. We'll speak to Karen, she's 27. She's having sex with a 35-year-old man who comes quickly. Sure. Doesn't have a lot of time after this.
48:29 Love line, LeBanachrol and Dr. Drew will be right back before you know it.
49:02 Adam We'll take a quick ten second time out, and then we'll be back with more of the Fabulous Program in just ten seconds.
49:09 This is Love Line on Radio Station.
49:24 Adam It's Loveline. I'm Adam Corolla. He is Dr. Drew, phone number 1-800-LOVE-191. Henry Rollins is our guest tonight. Get some, go again. It's the name of the new CD coming out tomorrow. And you can find him at the Tower Records on Sunset, 7 o'clock tomorrow, signing those CDs. We will hop back on the phones and speak to Karen, who's 27. Karen?
49:49 Caller Hi. I have a question in regard to, I've been with this guy for a two-year relationship, and I haven't been involved with a lot of other guys in previous relationships that I had. But this guy, he comes quickly, meaning that sometimes, like the movie American Pie, before even he actually had intercourse, he would come.
50:12 Adam What's he doing during that period before the intercourse?
50:15 Caller Before playing stuff, and he would just come. I mean, without any reaction, and he would tell me that, oh, I already came. I'm like, okay.
50:23 Adam Without an erection?
50:25 Caller I'm sorry?
50:26 Adam Wait a minute. He would orgasm without the erection, did you say?
50:30 Caller No, with the erection. The thing is, I don't know. He doesn't have the reaction, meaning that, you know how when guys come, they have this.
50:39 Adam Yeah, he doesn't do what I do.
50:41 Oh, dear Lord, I'm coming.
50:45 Caller I was sure that was normal or not normal.
50:47 Drew Screamed mommy.
50:48 Adam Oh, yeah.
50:53 Why could you love me like this?
50:57 Adam That's right, mommy. That's right. Sorry. Thanks, Drew. The mommy part?
51:02 Caller No, no, no. I mean coming so early or sometimes we don't even do intercourse and he will come.
51:08 Adam Well, but listen, you're in the room, right? I mean, you're doing something to him, right?
51:14 Caller Well, kissing and-
51:15 Caller Oh, boy.
51:16 Adam Wow, kissing. You must have one hell of a tongue.
51:18 Caller I don't even really go near the penis.
51:22 Drew Do you talk to him about this?
51:24 Caller No.
51:24 Drew Why don't you discuss with him ways in which you guys might be able to work around with this?
51:29 Adam Geez, I don't know where you start even if you're kissing.
51:32 Drew I don't know, I don't. How often do you guys together that way?
51:37 Caller Well, we see each other probably almost every day, but then we don't do as much.
51:43 Drew How often is he engaging in this premature activity? How often does this happen?
51:49 Caller Probably almost every time.
51:51 Drew Which is how?
51:52 Adam How often do you have sex?
51:54 Caller Twice a week.
51:55 Adam Twice a week.
51:57 Drew The rest of the time he needs to go to bed.
52:00 Adam They'll be proud.
52:02 Henry Rollins Adam, are you training for something with all this frequent masturbation?
52:06 Adam Henry, you never know. I'm training for life. You don't know when the power is going to go out. You don't know when the Russians are going to invade. You don't know. And that's what I'm saying. I hate to know that there's a meteor hurling toward the planet and that I didn't squeeze everything I could out of life, I guess is what I'm saying, which is basically me at home masturbating on a cot. All right. Hey, Karen, this is trouble. I mean, if he's having an orgasm when you're kissing, that is a hair trigger right there.
52:39 Caller That is a foreplay, but I don't really even go near his.
52:42 Adam Yeah, but he is going to have to... What about then you guys having sex, let's say half hour later after this?
52:49 Caller Well, he could, yeah, he could go again.
52:51 Adam And then what happens a half hour later?
52:53 Caller Same way.
52:54 Oh, wow.
52:56 Henry Rollins Sounds like you're not having much fun. And also sounds like this guy needs to do some work and get to the bottom of this. Dr. Drew, is there stuff he can kaggle exercises?
53:08 Adam How about just like a clothespan or something at this point? I mean, can't he just put like a number two pencil in there and break it off or something? I mean, something.
53:16 Caller Is that going to affect his sperm count?
53:18 Drew No.
53:18 Caller If we want to get married and have children?
53:20 Drew No, no, no, no, no. No? But there's medication that can delay ejaculation, there's Kegel exercise, as Adam has said, but most importantly, you have to couple, you need to kind of work with this.
53:31 Adam Yeah, but this guy needs, and I never even, we don't talk about this much, but he needs a little, he needs to sort of sit down and practice a little yoga or something. I mean, he's got to get control of his body just a little bit. I mean, I'm not totally in control of my penis, but I keep an eye on it. This guy's penis has hopped the fence that's in the neighbor's yard. I mean, this guy's penis is like, it chewed off its chain, it jumped over the fence, it's running down the alley. I mean, he has no control over that penis at all. Got to get it before, or I hope it has a tag on it. Paula?
54:09 Drew Hello?
54:10 Adam Year 17?
54:11 Drew Glad we helped.
54:12 Adam No, I didn't know where to begin. He's having an orgasm when they're making out.
54:16 Drew The beginning part is her discussing within. Part of this is, I'm sure, anticipation and shame, all kinds of feelings about it. They need to get it out in the open.
54:23 Adam Right. Wait a minute. I want to see if she's there. Karen? You have gum in your penis. Karen?
54:27 Oh, that's good.
54:29 Adam Karen? Karen, you there?
54:31 I have a feeling about it.
54:32 They need to get it out in the open.
54:34 Adam Wait a minute. Oh, I see. She's listening to herself on the 8-second delay. Sometimes I try to run home fast enough to hear myself on the 8-second delay. It just crashed. Paula?
54:43 Caller Yeah.
54:44 All right.
54:44 Adam 17. What's going on?
54:48 Caller I just broke up with my boyfriend about 6 or 7 weeks ago.
54:51 Good.
54:51 Adam He doesn't deserve you.
54:53 Caller Well, thank you. And lately, I haven't been attracted to men or women at all. That does prevent a problem.
55:02 Adam Or women?
55:04 Caller Or women.
55:04 Henry Rollins Were you attracted to men or women before?
55:07 Caller I was attracted to men before and lately I've been having dreams about women.
55:12 Drew Yeah, but when you're awake, you're not particularly interested in anybody.
55:15 Caller But then during the day, I've been thinking about women too.
55:20 Adam Oh, so I don't know. Are you bisexual?
55:24 Caller I've never had a bisexual experience.
55:25 Drew Wait, Paula, you had your first experience recently, right?
55:28 Caller I never had an experience.
55:30 Drew What did she say?
55:31 Adam I don't know. Hey Paula, do you think you're bisexual?
55:36 Caller I'm not really sure.
55:37 Drew Didn't she say she had some sort of experience?
55:38 Adam I don't know. I don't care. Paula, what else do you want?
55:42 Caller I just want to know, does this create a problem in my future or anything?
55:46 Adam You're definitely bisexual. I don't know. How the hell do we know? Just go ahead and wrestle with your sexuality like I do. Okay? I pinned my sexuality last weekend.
55:58 Drew What changed when you stopped being attracted to men? What happened?
56:02 Caller My last breakup.
56:04 Drew You got something happened.
56:06 Adam Paula, you're okay? You like your dad?
56:10 Caller No.
56:11 Adam That's trouble. Where is he? In prison?
56:13 Caller No. I don't know where he is.
56:16 Adam You don't know where he is? He could be in prison though, right? Okay. You don't like him? No. Did he do anything bad to you?
56:26 Caller Well, I was abused when I was younger.
56:28 Adam That's bad, right?
56:29 Caller Yeah.
56:30 Drew That certainly can result in confusion about your sexual identity.
56:33 Adam Did he abuse you before he left?
56:36 Caller Yeah.
56:37 Adam That's nice. And how old were you when he did this?
56:42 Caller Probably younger than 10.
56:43 Adam Okay. Sexual abuse? No.
56:45 Caller Just physical abuse.
56:47 Adam And then your mom kicked him out because he was drinking or something like that?
56:50 Drew Yeah.
56:50 Adam Perfect. All right. And now he's not around. So you'll have some issues with men.
56:56 Drew You understand that?
56:57 Adam Just keep an eye on that.
56:59 So should I experience this thing with women?
57:02 Drew No. Don't experience things that's built around confusion. Just take your time. Build relationships. Then let physical sort of involvement grow out of the relationships. Don't go around looking for solutions through sexual acts. It's only going to make things worse.
57:19 Adam Imagine going through life like you were drunk and in an airport you've never been in before. You know what I mean? Like once in a while.
57:28 Drew I think it's good like they're on acid.
57:29 Adam Ever since we started flying first class, I started getting loaded on airplanes. You know, a drink.
57:33 Drew Three years ago?
57:34 Yeah.
57:36 Adam Four or five bloody Marys. And then we're in Cincinnati and I got an hour to kill. And I'm walking around the airport like some kind of, you know, it's dawn of the dead. I don't even really know where I am. I know I'm not going to remember it the next day. I'm not so loaded that I'm having difficulty with motor skills or anything and I haven't, you know, punched out any baggage handlers. I'm not urinating on the baggage go round or anything. But it's just like I don't know where I am and I don't really care. What if you go through, I get the feeling that Paul is sort of, that's what life is. That's some a-hole dad abused me. He split. I don't trust guys. I'm confused. I'm a little screwed up and I don't even know what I am. Seventeen, yeah.
58:18 Henry Rollins You got a lot of questions of that age. You just got to let it ride. And what Drew said, not looking for solutions to sexual experiences, let the experience come from the relationship. That's a good, safe, and proper way to go.
58:31 Adam And people think they're going to get their questions answered through having the experience that has the question mark on it, but it only adds more confusion. Yes, it absolutely does. I mean, it just sort of thickens the sexual stew. John?
58:51 Yeah?
58:51 Adam You're 13.
58:52 Caller Hey.
58:53 Adam What's up?
58:54 Caller I was on the Dr. Drew chat room.
58:57 Caller Oh, hey, Dr. Drew?
58:58 Caller Yeah.
59:00 Caller How do I know when you're on the chat room?
59:02 Drew I usually come in. I'm in there right now. I'm actually in the Depression room. I'm in the Depression room at drdrew.com. And I usually come on as Dr. DDPP or Dr. DDPP. I've got various screen names, but it's usually my initials.
59:17 Caller All right.
59:18 Cool.
59:19 Caller Well, there's this girl and I had a cyber sex with her. And she wants like right now, she wants to like, I got her email address and we've been talking and stuff.
59:31 Drew And this is something you're doing on my chat room?
59:34 What?
59:34 Drew This is something you're doing in my chat room?
59:36 Caller Yeah.
59:37 Adam Unacceptable.
59:38 Drew Yes.
59:38 Adam It is? You don't want to hook up? This is what you think it becomes.
59:42 Caller He wants to meet me, but I really want to meet her.
59:44 Adam All right.
59:45 Drew Then don't do it. Listen, here's my advice on the sort of Internet hookups. First of all, you shouldn't be hooking up with anybody that doesn't live within a 50-mile radius of where you live, because there's not going to be a relationship anyway if you do that. Don't let the relationship go on more than a few days before you make phone calls.
1:00:01 Adam Fifty miles? He's 13.
1:00:02 Drew He's 20 miles.
1:00:04 Adam Twenty miles? Three blocks. How far can you get your big wheel at 13? Seriously, 50 miles?
1:00:12 Drew Yeah. The point is God knows she may be in another state. And you shouldn't be anybody more than a year or two older than you. You shouldn't have relationships for a long time on the web before you make contact on the phone. You should take quite a bit of time getting to know the person before you actually meet in person. That should be a phone relationship with some web backup. And then you should take somebody with you.
1:00:30 Henry Rollins Yeah. If you're 13, the girl on the other end of the line might be some 45 year old dude.
1:00:37 Adam In a clown outfit.
1:00:39 Henry Rollins I'm being very serious.
1:00:40 Adam Yes, absolutely.
1:00:41 Henry Rollins At your age, there's some not so cool people cruising the web looking for guys just like you.
1:00:47 Adam Yes, young, naive 13 year olds, hairless.
1:00:50 Drew But look, John doesn't want to meet whoever this person is. And that's great. That's it. You have nothing to lose by saying you don't want to meet. You haven't met the person. Yeah. Have you had any phone contact? No. Yeah, just saying. You have a girlfriend.
1:01:02 Adam All right, John.
1:01:03 Henry Rollins And there's lots of girls you're going to meet in years to come anyway.
1:01:07 Adam Oh, man. Oh, man. That's horrible being 13. Walter.
1:01:13 Henry Rollins Cybersex. That's incredible. We had cybersex. That's just wild.
1:01:18 Drew 13. I know. Yeah.
1:01:20 Adam Wait a minute.
1:01:20 Henry Rollins When I was 13, I started out having cybersex in depression chat rooms at Dr. Drew's website. From there, I went to heroin and terrorism.
1:01:31 Adam That's right.
1:01:32 Drew Goddamn it.
1:01:32 Adam That's right.
1:01:33 Drew You're killing me.
1:01:34 Henry Rollins Pre-mature ejaculation, bisexuality.
1:01:37 Adam That's right.
1:01:37 Henry Rollins It's a den of iniquity you have, Drew.
1:01:39 Drew Right now, I'm monitoring the JATC. If people have questions or people that can't get through on the phone lines, you can just log on and ask a question. I'll bring it up on the video.
1:01:45 Adam I don't know what the hell is going to become of these kids today with all this Internet and all that. I was talking to someone about this. Drew, I know you're 55?
1:01:57 Drew 48.
1:01:58 Adam No, 41. I'm 35. Henry, how old are you?
1:02:01 Henry Rollins 39.
1:02:02 Adam 39. So we all grew up without VCRs, without the Internet. I mean, lucky. I didn't see a porn video until I was like 19 years old. I didn't know anyone had a VCR. I was telling someone the other day, I used to go to the Big Five during the summer and check out the chicks on the box that the raft came in. There was a hot looking chick in a bikini on the raft box. It was like 12, 13. I ducked my head in there. I mean, times were tight from a pornographic standpoint when you're looking at the chick on a box of a raft. Yeah, and now it's like internet and everyone's, you know, DVDs and CD-ROMs and all this. I mean, I don't know what the hell an average 13-year-old is exposed to so much stuff now that I don't know if it's good or bad or what the effect it'll have on them, and I guess we'll find out down the road. Well, maybe we are finding out.
1:03:01 Drew I just wish that we would do the studies on primates first. You know, see if they start behaving later. It's too late.
1:03:07 Adam Chloe?
1:03:08 Hi.
1:03:10 Adam Hello? Masturbating to a chick on a raft box.
1:03:13 Drew Hey, people are asking for our fax number. 310-854-4455. And Danielle in the chat room is saying the fax doesn't seem to be working.
1:03:21 Adam What a surprise. Chloe, you're 26.
1:03:23 Caller Yeah.
1:03:24 Adam What's up?
1:03:25 Caller First off, I just want to say hi to Henry.
1:03:27 Caller Hello, Chloe.
1:03:29 Caller Been a big fan of yours for the past 10 years or so. My question is, I haven't had sex for almost two years now. It's been a self-imposed kind of thing. And lately, I just want to get out there again and do it. But I just want to do like a one-night stand kind of thing. I don't want to, I don't want the relationship. I don't want to do that whole thing. But I mean, how can I go about doing that in some sort of safe way?
1:04:01 Henry Rollins Call Adam?
1:04:02 Adam That's right. You've come to the right place. What city are you calling from?
1:04:08 Caller San Diego.
1:04:09 Adam San Diego.
1:04:10 Henry Rollins Oh, man, he's 90 minutes away.
1:04:12 Adam Yeah, a little out of my big wheel range, though. You can get sex anytime you want because you're a woman. And there's always guys.
1:04:21 Caller Yeah, but I don't want it to be like some kind of schlub, you know?
1:04:24 Adam Yeah, well, who do you want?
1:04:27 Drew What do you mean? She can pick whatever she wants?
1:04:30 Adam You want Charlie Sheen to come by and nail you? I mean, you're going to get some schlub, of course. That's what you're asking for. And why are you so bitter? What's up?
1:04:40 Drew What happened?
1:04:40 Adam Yeah, what's wrong? Yeah. Well, who done you wrong?
1:04:44 Caller Oh, you want to make a wager?
1:04:46 Drew Uh-oh.
1:04:47 Adam It's no fun gambling on people who want to be gambled on.
1:04:50 Caller You know?
1:04:51 Adam Who did what to you?
1:04:53 Caller You know, the dad, the boyfriend, all of them.
1:04:56 Henry Rollins So you decided just to take a two-year chill out period, and now you want to go back and explore the world of dating and all that? And so what exactly is your question?
1:05:06 Caller I'm just, I just want to have sex.
1:05:09 Adam Right. But listen, Chloe, you're just horny, but what did you do during that two-year sexual hiatus? Did you get any therapy?
1:05:17 Henry Rollins Oh, yeah.
1:05:18 Caller Yeah. I was going to some major therapy last year.
1:05:22 Adam Good.
1:05:22 Caller Do you feel better? I did like five-day-a-week therapy. I mean, it was intensive.
1:05:27 Drew Great. Excellent.
1:05:28 Caller And that's why I've taken all this time off, is just to clear my head.
1:05:33 Adam All right. But you shouldn't, with all that therapy, you should have figured out that it's not really about getting laid. It's just about...
1:05:39 Caller Oh, I know that. I know that. I'm not ready for the whole other part of it yet.
1:05:46 Adam All right. Why don't you get yourself a vibrator?
1:05:48 Caller Oh, I got it, baby.
1:05:52 Adam I should have known. All right. What happened? Did your dad sexually abuse you?
1:05:57 Caller Yeah. Sexually, physically, verbally.
1:05:59 Right.
1:06:00 Adam And then your next couple of boyfriends did that, too, right?
1:06:03 Yeah.
1:06:04 Adam It's magic how that works, isn't it?
1:06:06 Yeah. All right.
1:06:08 Adam All right. Hey, Chloe, why don't you start venturing back into the dating world with your newfound knowledge that you gain from therapy? And, you know, if the sex comes, the sex comes. But don't be so frightened to participate in life. I mean, someone did something horrible to you, and then you let some other people do some horrible things to you based on what the first person did. But you stood back, you took an assessment of your life, you got a little therapy, you're a lot more wise, you're a lot stronger now, and it's time to venture back out again.
1:06:39 Caller I guess it's just hard to get back to that.
1:06:40 Adam I know, but just have an open mind. If you meet someone you like, you know.
1:06:45 Henry Rollins Yeah, and it might be cool just to go back into the world without necessarily making sex a mandatory thing. You should just go back and start meeting people again and get back to that boy-girl thing. And maybe you'll meet a cool guy, and something even better than a one-night stand comes up from it.
1:07:06 Adam This is why basically I want these fathers killed.
1:07:10 Henry Rollins And also, you should just make sure that you learn the lesson. You've got to break the pattern of abuse that you've established. Well, she is. You see that you've been dating your dad basically for those two times these other guys abused you. You know, your dad abused you, so you found two guys that did it. And when Adam said, isn't that funny how that works out? Because that's a lot of times how it is. Like one girl dates a guy, dates five guys, and five guys wail on her. And it's not a coincidence. These people find each other.
1:07:39 Adam Of course.
1:07:41 Henry Rollins There's lots of really cool guys in the world who don't hit women, who are really cool and considerate, and you should find one of those. And the world is full of them as long as you're looking for one. So just make sure to break that pattern of abuse. It is a pattern.
1:07:54 Adam You know what's funny about the world? It is full of both. I mean it's full of great guys who'll treat you like a queen, and it's chock full of a-holes that will beat your ass. And depending on what your mindset is, is how full it is. But there's millions upon millions of both, and you can go find any one you want from any category on any given day. There's plenty of alcoholics for everyone to go around, and there's plenty of Sir Walter Raleys to open the doors and throw their coats down over the puddles.
1:08:27 Henry Rollins Chloe, it could very well be that those two times that you had the boyfriends who were nasty to you, you may be dated them because that's what you felt you deserved. And hopefully that's over with and you realize that you deserve the best and you should treat yourself that way.
1:08:41 Adam And this is, by the way, getting back to why I want the fathers killed. Because it's not only what they do to their daughters, it's what the rest of the guys do to their daughters for years and years and years. Beyond that, I mean, you know, dad does his damage from age 6 to age 9, but then the real damage is the rest of their life, oftentimes. It's the guy they get hooked up with at 16, at 19, at 27. It's their kids. Can't we just destroy these guys? I mean, if you come on to your own daughter in a sexual way, can't we just decide that there's something so broken in you it can never be fixed? If you're looking at your sick 7-year-old daughter and decide it would be a good idea to get on top of her with an erection, how much more of a definition of F-ed up do you need than that? I mean, how much more broken can you be than that? You know what I'm saying? How far beyond repaired do you have to be?
1:09:35 Drew Start killing everybody.
1:09:36 Adam No, kill them. Oh, please.
1:09:38 Drew No, no, but I mean, that would be more broken if somebody actually were violently killing folks, but even that would be-
1:09:43 Adam A guy goes in a liquor store and shoots a Korean behind the counter. I don't agree with it, but it's not as F-ed up as a guy who's putting his penis in his daughter. It really isn't. At least he has a motive. He wants a bottle of scotch and some heroin or whatever the hell he's going to get for that 50 bucks. Jason, Jason, you're 17. What's up?
1:10:03 Caller First of all, I'd like to see how much I like the show.
1:10:06 Adam Thanks.
1:10:06 Caller You know, you guys are really cool. I'd like to tell you, Adam, that you're exactly right with the guys who work with metal. My dad's a welder.
1:10:17 Adam Yeah. I'm sorry.
1:10:18 Caller Okay. Now, I have a question for Henry Rollins.
1:10:21 Adam Right here.
1:10:22 Caller First of all, I'd like to see how much I enjoy Black Flag. Black Flag is really cool.
1:10:28 Adam Keith, you weren't even born when they started out.
1:10:32 Caller Hey.
1:10:33 Caller I don't know about that.
1:10:34 Adam That's nice.
1:10:35 Henry Rollins It doesn't matter. So what's the question?
1:10:37 Caller Well, how do you feel about the whole White Flag thing?
1:10:41 Henry Rollins Oh, that band?
1:10:42 Caller Yeah.
1:10:43 Henry Rollins Oh, they were funny. Yeah. They seem like nice enough guys. I didn't really pay that close attention because the music wasn't of very high quality.
1:10:52 Caller I thought they were pretty cool. The Black Flag is much better.
1:10:55 Henry Rollins Okay.
1:10:55 Adam I didn't remember White Flag. Yeah.
1:10:57 Henry Rollins Neither does anyone else. Anything else?
1:11:00 Caller Nope. Just tell you how much I enjoy your music and how much I enjoy the show.
1:11:04 Henry Rollins Right on, man. Keep banging the metal. Okay.
1:11:08 Adam Hey, there'll be a band coming out soon called Cinderella, Jason.
1:11:11 Caller Really?
1:11:12 Adam I want to check them out.
1:11:13 Caller Okay.
1:11:13 Adam All right.
1:11:14 Caller All right.
1:11:14 Caller Later. And Cherry Pie.
1:11:18 Caller What, Drew?
1:11:19 Adam You saying something?
1:11:20 Drew Nope.
1:11:20 Adam No. All right. We're going to take a little break. When we come back, we're going to hear something else from Henry Rollins' band.
1:11:28 Drew Actually, I do have some more.
1:11:29 Adam Drew's going to do what?
1:11:31 Drew I've got a bunch of interesting questions off the web. I'll bring those up after we get back.
1:11:34 Adam All after this.
1:11:38 Henry Rollins Love Line with Adam Corolla and Dr. Drew.
1:12:09 Adam Hey, there's the Loveline, and Adam Corolla is Dr. Drew over there, and our guest is Henry Rollins. Henry's going to be down at the tower on sunset at 7 o'clock tomorrow, signing the new Rollins Band CD. Get some, go again. You'll want to go out and see him there. We'll take, I think we'll take one call, and then we'll hear another cut off the new CD. Earl, you're 16. What's up?
1:12:34 Caller Yeah, what's up? I just wanted to say you guys like show rock, doesn't you guys all the time?
1:12:37 Adam Thanks.
1:12:38 Caller I just saw your commercial down there, The Collect.
1:12:41 Caller No, that was cool.
1:12:42 Caller If we didn't have remotes like that, that would be cool. No, actually, I went to one of my first raves this weekend. I went to the other one. They're pretty small, but this one was pretty big. I think someone dropped in to eat my beer, and I'm not sure. I mean, I'm cool with it. People can do it around me. I just don't do it. I think it was in my beer because the effect I had was I got really hyper. My body started getting hot, so I sat down and I chilled. A lot of my friends say time passes by fast, but it didn't really go by fast. It went kind of normal.
1:13:14 Adam Well, who do you think dropped it in your beer?
1:13:16 Caller I have no idea. Maybe somebody there.
1:13:20 Adam What do you do at a rave when you're not on acts?
1:13:23 Caller I just drink beer all the time and just hang out and meet people.
1:13:27 Adam Actually, there's something sort of diabolical about going to a rave straight, because it's just pretty much chicks out of their mind, high on acts, this close to passing out, dancing and falling all over the place. You basically just go in there and have your pick of the litter. I mean, I'm not talking about date rape. You know what I mean? If you're young and you're trying to get laid, why don't you just go to a rave and instead of getting effed up out of your mind and not being able to navigate the place, why don't you just stay straight, pick up some chicks?
1:14:01 Caller Raves aren't really meant for going in there and just getting laid and everything. I mean, if you're out there to have a good time and everything like that, people have this bad image.
1:14:08 Drew Adam Aquaitz, those are the same thing. Have a good time being laid. That's the same for him.
1:14:12 Adam Well, please, Drew.
1:14:15 Caller What are some of the effects of E?
1:14:17 Drew A single exposure if it's not a very large one, usually it can get by without any significant damage, provided that nothing happened to you while you were using it. You can have episodes where you get psychotic, you can get locked in, where your muscles get rigid and you can't move, and that can last for a week. I've had people in the hospital on IVs because they can't swallow, they can't move their eyes even. And the big issue with E is that the regular use, and we don't know how much use, results in a burnout or a destruction of the serotonin pathways in the brain, which are responsible for mood, controlling anxiety and memory.
1:14:50 Henry Rollins It's been several days now since you had this experience, right?
1:14:53 Caller No, it was this weekend.
1:14:55 Henry Rollins Okay.
1:14:55 Caller Okay.
1:14:56 Henry Rollins And now it's Monday. How do you feel?
1:14:58 Caller I feel okay. I mean, I'm still sick. Because I was, I went there drinking and I was sick. And that's not cool because being sick and drinking is not a good combo.
1:15:05 Henry Rollins All right. Basically, you're reeling more from the cold than from anything that you took over the weekend.
1:15:10 Caller I feel drugged though because during today at school, I mean, I felt like I was drugged. I think I was like all tired and my vision was kind of not all that great.
1:15:17 Henry Rollins Well, if you had an e-experience, you're lucky to walk away with it, you know, and be so intact and you should, if you're going to drink beer, guard your container and, you know, don't, and never take that stuff.
1:15:32 Drew All right. Let me have a couple quick points here as I got off the web. Hepatitis C is transmissible sexually as far as I'm concerned, male to female or female to male. So, it is one of the sexually transmitted diseases. It's basically exactly like HIV. Prozac will completely turn off your sex drive and one way to avoid that is either to use or add wellbutrin, remeron, and serozone or other options. And another question was, what does it mean when a doctor says there's inflammation on a pap? Have you ever heard of that?
1:15:59 Adam No.
1:16:00 Drew Because sometimes the...
1:16:01 Adam Pap smear, you mean? Yeah. There's inflammation on it?
1:16:03 Drew Yeah, sometimes the doctor will say, it's not dysplastic, it's not abnormal, it's just inflamed. And that usually means a vaginal infection. A doctor will give you a cream usually for that. And then they go back and repeat the pap, and you should see that go away.
1:16:15 Adam That's what kept me out of the Army, by the way.
1:16:18 Drew Your pap was slightly abnormal?
1:16:19 Adam Yeah, inflamed vagina.
1:16:21 So I couldn't go in.
1:16:23 Adam I tried. I couldn't make it in. Now, it was... Wait a minute, it was club put. That's different, right? Is that different? Same thing. All right. We'll listen to something from the Rollins band. This is off of Get It On. Go again, and it's the same name. That's Henry Rollins, everybody. Back to basic. You can find Henry at the Tower Records on Sunset. He'll be signing the album. And then you can find him all around the country and parts of Canada, touring with the New Rollins band. How did you meet up with these guys, or how did you find them?
1:19:12 Henry Rollins The band guys I'm playing with are a local Los Angeles band, a very fine band called Mother Superior. And I've produced their last two records, and they're good friends of mine. And a couple years ago, we were working on an album of theirs called Deep. And I asked them if they would help me with some song ideas I had, and maybe if they felt charitable, they would write some stuff with me in mind. And we wrote 23 songs in a very short amount of time and put them on tape in a very short amount of time. And the song that we just played, we wrote the first night of the first time we got together. And that was done in two takes, and the vocal you hear on there is the vocal from the actual take. We just pretty much did it, and we're done with it. Well, it's not rocket science, what we're playing, you know?
1:19:56 Adam No, and you know, with the kind of music that you play, why not do it in the first take? I mean, what I mean is, it's visceral, it's powerful. It's not really about putting a fine polish on it. It's a lot of it. It's about energy. It's about an attitude.
1:20:14 Henry Rollins Excitement, you know?
1:20:15 Adam Yeah, and it's hard to muster that on the 15th or 25th take. Sure. Mike? Yeah? You're 15. What's up?
1:20:24 Caller Yeah, I wanted to know if you could get, like, general warts from masturbating with the wart on your finger.
1:20:30 Adam Doesn't seem like you can.
1:20:31 Drew Yeah, you would think you'd see more warts if that were a common thing, but apparently there are some warts that will transmit down there, but hard to know which ones will and which ones won't. Most won't. Most won't.
1:20:42 Caller Okay, because I was wondering because, like, I heard they were contagious.
1:20:45 Drew They are, we think. It's pretty complicated, but there are certain subtypes that can go down there. We just don't know which ones those are.
1:20:52 Henry Rollins Have you seen any symptoms?
1:20:54 Adam No, I just wanted to know, you know, you can't switch hands, you can't make that hand your magazine hand for a while.
1:21:02 Henry Rollins It's a trick Adam learned a long time ago.
1:21:04 He makes them both hands.
1:21:08 Drew Adam, what would you do?
1:21:09 Adam Both hands?
1:21:09 Drew Yeah.
1:21:10 Adam Start limbering up. I get my feet around.
1:21:12 Henry Rollins Yeah, I get his feet, his prehensile tail, his couch leg.
1:21:16 Adam Well, I don't know that I would, but I think maybe my son, son, son would have a tail to do it. Eventually, the Corollas would adapt. We always do. All right, Mike? All right. All right. God bless you. Yeah. When I had my hand surgery about five years ago, I mean, five months ago, I had a cast on my hand, but I'm still able to work myself. Good. Thanks. David?
1:21:43 Yeah.
1:21:44 Adam You're 17. What's up?
1:21:46 Caller I was wondering if it was normal for like after a sex or like at the burn whenever you go to the bathroom.
1:21:51 Drew That's a sign of an infection.
1:21:54 Caller Okay.
1:21:55 Drew Right? You want to get checked out for a sexually transmitted disease when that happens.
1:21:58 Caller Okay.
1:21:59 Adam Could he have one of many?
1:22:01 Drew One of many. Pretty much they all in a man will present that way. But is this been happening for a long time or just recently?
1:22:08 Caller It just started recently. I probably got first I thought it was because I had a surgery like on one of my testicles, and I got like a prosthetic put in.
1:22:16 Adam Yeah.
1:22:17 Caller I thought it maybe was that right there.
1:22:20 Drew Your prostate can get inflamed and some guys get in irritation after sex without an STD, but you got to get checked. Unless it's a partner you know for a long time and you're wearing condom, there's no chance of that. But I would just get it checked out.
1:22:34 Adam Why did they do that? Why did you have the testicle removed?
1:22:38 Caller Because it was infected.
1:22:40 Drew With what?
1:22:42 Caller Like it was infected ever since I was born.
1:22:44 Adam Oh wow. And so they removed it and they put a prosthetic testicle in there?
1:22:48 Caller Yeah they just put it in about like two years ago.
1:22:51 Drew Infected with what?
1:22:51 Adam You know what they use? Sammy Davis Jr.'s eye. He has this glass eye.
1:22:56 Drew That's cool.
1:22:57 Adam That's what I'm going to have done.
1:22:59 Drew That's nice.
1:23:00 Adam I have a third one in there. Can you imagine what a turn on that would be for the lady? You see that third one? That's Sammy's eye.
1:23:08 Henry Rollins They haven't even seen the first two yet.
1:23:11 Drew But listen David, what was the infection? Tidberculosis or something? What do you have in his brain?
1:23:16 Caller I'm not sure what it was. I really don't remember because my mother talked to the doctors a lot since she worked at the hospital.
1:23:21 Adam All right. They got the right one, right?
1:23:24 Caller Yeah.
1:23:24 Adam Okay. So you had the prosthetic one put in. That's fine?
1:23:27 Caller Yeah.
1:23:28 Adam What is that made out of?
1:23:30 Caller I don't know.
1:23:31 Adam But it'll last, right? They don't have to change it out.
1:23:34 Adam It's not made out of oatmeal or anything, is it? It's there. Okay. Good. You're fine. It'll work fine, right? Yeah. Yeah. They must have to weigh them too, right? I mean, the weight has to be about right, because what if one side was heavier than another?
1:23:50 Drew Well, I imagine there's sort of a standard density of testing and they just base it on size then.
1:23:55 Adam Nice.
1:23:56 Drew Give it appropriate weight.
1:23:57 Adam Why do you have two if you can get by with one?
1:23:59 Drew Why do you have two of anything?
1:24:01 Adam That's a good point.
1:24:02 Drew That's how nature creates levels of efficiency. You can still do without one of them.
1:24:07 Adam Certain amount of redundancy in the body.
1:24:09 Caller That's good.
1:24:10 Adam That's some extra parts, some stuff we can do without, stuff we can donate to others. I like that.
1:24:16 Caller All right.
1:24:18 Adam Two nards, though. Sean?
1:24:21 Caller Yeah.
1:24:22 Adam You're 21. What's up?
1:24:23 Caller I am. How are you guys doing tonight?
1:24:24 Adam Good.
1:24:25 Caller Good. First of all, I'd like to say Henry Rollins. Yeah. Nice music. I like the music and all, but I have to say I really loved your performance in The Chase.
1:24:32 Henry Rollins Oh, thanks.
1:24:33 Caller I thought that was great.
1:24:33 Adam Yeah. It was just on TV the other night.
1:24:35 Caller Oh, yeah. Comedy Central.
1:24:37 Henry Rollins It was fun.
1:24:38 Adam Yeah. I don't know where the hell I saw that, but I saw that about a week ago.
1:24:43 Caller Yeah. I saw some other good show on Comedy Central, Reggie Lee, The Man Show. Yeah.
1:24:46 Drew It's not bad.
1:24:47 Adam There you go.
1:24:48 Caller Yeah.
1:24:48 Caller There you go.
1:24:49 Drew There's some good ones coming up. We just saw one.
1:24:50 Caller Oh, yeah. Yeah.
1:24:53 Caller My question is, well, I just moved down to Santa Barbara a couple of months ago and I'm sorry to say that I miss you guys this show at UCSB. But I guess I was pretty healthy in the masturbation department before I moved. Ever since I moved down here, I don't really take to myself that often. But yeah, I know. I'm sorry.
1:25:13 Henry Rollins So you're in Santa Barbara bringing you down, man?
1:25:15 Caller Well, I don't know. I mean, it can't possibly be bringing me down. Everything's great. The beautiful women, beautiful weather.
1:25:22 Adam Maybe you're just taking a little break. I did that once.
1:25:24 Drew What's your question?
1:25:25 Caller For about four hours.
1:25:26 Caller Yeah, my question is, I.
1:25:28 Henry Rollins I think fifteen minutes.
1:25:29 Caller Actually, I was in prison.
1:25:31 Caller A holding thing.
1:25:33 Caller Like I noticed that there's a lack of production in my semen. And I'm not sure, Dr. Drew, maybe you can help me with this, if that has anything to do with diet.
1:25:39 Drew Lack of production.
1:25:40 Caller Like I mean, I don't produce as much. And also there's like a yellowish kind of tint to it.
1:25:45 Drew As much as when?
1:25:46 Caller I'm sorry?
1:25:46 Drew As much as when?
1:25:49 Caller I'm sorry, I say that.
1:25:50 Adam Well, hold on a second. How do you know you don't produce as much?
1:25:53 Caller Well, comparatively, before I moved down here, there was more production than after I moved down here.
1:25:57 Drew Well, you know, guys' testosterone levels can fluctuate a little bit. And it can be many reasons. If you're actually, they've shown that guys that gain positions of authority, that have athletic activity, their testosterone levels go up, their semen production, their sex drive, all that can go up. So you're sort of in a down stage right now. You're doing less and the yellowish, you know, maybe a little bit of blood, it may be just.
1:26:20 Caller It's been like that for several years now. I was wondering.
1:26:24 Drew It may just be normal for you.
1:26:26 Henry Rollins Mine is going through the roof.
1:26:27 Drew You're all of a sudden doing a lot.
1:26:29 Henry Rollins No, I'm just, I'm always peeking.
1:26:31 Drew Right.
1:26:32 Adam Yeah, Henry produces a lot of testosterone. I think he took some of mine actually. I've been missing testosterone.
1:26:39 Henry Rollins I'll lend you some for the weekend.
1:26:40 Adam Could you please? Yeah, I don't know what kind of condition is going to be when I return it.
1:26:45 Henry Rollins It might still be real.
1:26:49 Adam Hey, Sean. Alright, Sean, don't worry about it so much.
1:26:51 Henry Rollins I'm not really worried.
1:26:52 Drew Yeah, but do try to deal with your mood. That's really the problem is you're not real happy with your life right now. You've got to get more engaged and get with things.
1:27:00 Henry Rollins And don't ever move to Santa Cruz.
1:27:02 Adam That's right. I think guys lose testosterone when they move to the beach.
1:27:06 Drew That makes sense.
1:27:06 Adam It's not a testosterone area. You've got to move into the inner city to really get the charge. They mellow out. They smoke a lot of weed. They go surfing. They lose testosterone.
1:27:16 Drew Look at all those people walking around bathing suits.
1:27:19 Adam That's even out by all the reggae music and pot smoking and sort of general melee. They need to get in the inner city. Jack hammers and horns honking and sirens. That produces testosterone. Alright, we're going to take ourselves a little break. We'll be back with Henry Rollins after this.
1:27:44 We'll be right back with more GIO Get It On.
1:28:15 Adam Henry Rollins is here. We're back on the Fabulous Loveline. Henry, put them cans on so you can hear what's going on. The CD is Get Some, Go Again. That is out tomorrow. Henry is going to be at the Tower Records on Sunset tomorrow. Go out there, support him, get his signature on your new Rollins band CD. He'll also be hitting the tour trail. He'll be in Canada and the United States and all over the place. If you can hear us, he'll be there in the next couple of months. So look out for him. Gina?
1:28:49 Hi.
1:28:50 Adam You're 30. What's up?
1:28:51 Caller I'm terribly nervous. Hi, Henry.
1:28:54 Henry Rollins How are you doing, Gina? Don't be nervous.
1:28:55 Caller All right. I've actually kind of a new Henry Rollins fan and I've been reading the portable Henry Rollins. I just wanted to kind of thank you for all the things you have to say in this book. It makes me feel kind of normal, I guess. I don't really want to feel normal, but.
1:29:16 Henry Rollins Well, maybe you feel a kindred spirit or something.
1:29:21 Caller It's strange, but I just wanted to thank you for these words.
1:29:26 Adam Who turned you on to Henry?
1:29:28 Caller Well.
1:29:28 Adam And you're talking about a poetry book, right?
1:29:30 Caller Well, it's a compilation of wonderful things that I find so interesting. And well, I actually had a girl that I met who claims that she knew you, and we were talking about Henry Rollins, and she had something to say about, oh, Henry Rollins, he's your soulmate. I said, oh, all right, well, then I'm going to go get his book and read about him. And I'm just really interested, and I actually saw that thing Saturday night that the other guy called in and saw you singing and all those people sitting around. I couldn't believe how they were just sitting there.
1:30:04 Adam On PBS?
1:30:05 Caller Yes, it was very strange.
1:30:06 Adam Where are you calling from?
1:30:08 Caller Huntington Beach.
1:30:09 Adam Oh, are you going to see Henry when he's at the whiskey?
1:30:12 Caller I actually already called Sunset to see what time you were going to be there, because you didn't say if it was a.m. or p.m. So I think I'm going to go tomorrow night.
1:30:20 Adam Oh, yeah, go over there, yeah, tomorrow night, seven o'clock, yeah, that's seven a.m. It would never be seven in the morning.
1:30:25 Caller I know, I'm like, I'm never going to be there.
1:30:26 Caller Not very rockin early.
1:30:27 Caller And I'm definitely going to go to the whiskey.
1:30:30 Adam All right, Gina, go say hi to Henry.
1:30:32 Caller I'm going to say hi to Henry.
1:30:33 Adam And give him to sign your breath.
1:30:36 Caller Well, all right.
1:30:37 Henry Rollins Well, it's good to talk to you.
1:30:38 Caller Thanks, Henry.
1:30:39 Adam All right, Gina.
1:30:40 Caller Bye.
1:30:40 Adam Bye. Bye. Oh, she's in love. Ryan. Yeah, hi. You're 17, what's up?
1:30:48 Caller I have one question for you and Drew and one for Henry.
1:30:52 Adam All right.
1:30:52 Caller Hurry. Henry, I was wondering, I was wondering what kind of music Black Flag is. I've never heard the band before.
1:31:01 Henry Rollins It's just real hard rock and music. Some of it was real good. But it's music from 81 to 86 or 80 to 86. So at this point, it might sound a little dated and a little prehistoric. It's just being bass drums, guitar and vocal with no computers involved. But it's just some hard, wreck your house kind of rock and roll.
1:31:26 Adam You can go out and get it, though. I mean, you can get Black Flag.
1:31:28 Henry Rollins Yeah, it's all in print. And I'm sure one of your friends who's not in prison might have one of those records.
1:31:37 Adam What's the next question, Brad?
1:31:40 Caller I got a new girlfriend. And she's telling me that she's given a lot of guys head. And she told you this? My girlfriend.
1:31:51 Drew She told you this?
1:31:52 Caller Huh?
1:31:53 Adam All right. Hey, Brian, I can't talk to you because you're incapable. All right?
1:31:58 Caller All right.
1:31:59 Adam All right. Listen, I don't know why your girlfriend said this. I don't take it as a real good sign. You guys aren't getting married. So just enjoy the ride and don't get her pregnant.
1:32:09 Drew Or what she meant by it, you know, what is she talking about?
1:32:11 Adam All right.
1:32:11 Henry Rollins Isn't that what Snopter told Eddie Vedder a few years ago?
1:32:14 Drew Hey, question off the web, Henry, are you going to act anymore?
1:32:18 Henry Rollins I just did a small part in this film called House on a Hill. And I did all these scenes with Philip Baker Hall, who's in the movie. And in the movie, he's an architect and I'm an artist. And we have cool discussions on art and what it means. And that was fun. And I don't know when that comes out. But that's the last acting endeavor that I did.
1:32:36 Adam Weren't we talking about like Jack Frost or something last time you were here?
1:32:40 Henry Rollins Yeah, that was a film I had a small part in. Michael Keaton was in that. It's a kid's film.
1:32:45 Adam Right, yeah. I didn't see it, but I just remember talking to you about it, I think, last time you were in the studio.
1:32:52 Henry Rollins Yeah, it was fun.
1:32:53 Adam Yeah, that's kind of nice. I mean, I think Henry's got the right idea. Do a little, write a poem, do a little spoken word, go out and play with the Rollins band, make a video, do a little acting. I mean, get around. I mean, the point is, is no matter how exciting anything is, it can get old. And if you do a whole bunch of stuff that's exciting and you keep it sort of rotating, it doesn't get stale. Jane?
1:33:19 Yeah, I'm here.
1:33:20 Adam You're 20?
1:33:21 Caller Yeah.
1:33:22 Adam Oh, I do five things and I'm miserable.
1:33:25 Drew But you hate work.
1:33:27 Adam What's that?
1:33:27 Drew You got to enjoy work. You hate work.
1:33:29 Adam Oh yeah, that's right. I'm lazy. I forgot. I'm more no-count than I am lazy, but go ahead.
1:33:33 Caller Hello? Go ahead, Jane. I have a sexual fantasy of Henry Rollins.
1:33:41 Adam Get in line, sister.
1:33:42 Caller Well, okay, listen. The question is this. Okay, my boyfriend, he's a really nice guy, but he's really nice. In my fantasy, I can't believe I'm saying this.
1:33:57 Adam You want him to get rough with you, right?
1:33:59 Caller I want to like, kind of, you know, like spank me and.
1:34:03 Adam Hey, shut up, shut up. We're short on time. You want him to get rough? Yes. And he doesn't want to do that? Have you asked him?
1:34:11 Caller Well, yeah.
1:34:12 Adam And yes, you have.
1:34:13 Caller He says that it makes him feel silly.
1:34:15 Adam Okay.
1:34:16 Drew Anything I want to be dominated.
1:34:17 Adam And see, that's true. It's back to. All right, Jane, you may not be with the right guy or maybe he's right. Maybe you should look into this a little bit. Anyone, was your dad rough with you?
1:34:29 Caller No.
1:34:29 Adam No one was ever rough with you?
1:34:31 Caller I wanted, but nobody.
1:34:33 Adam No one was rough? All right, so just a little fantasy.
1:34:36 Caller Yeah.
1:34:36 Adam Well, you know what? You know what? Don't sit down and make it an intellectual process.
1:34:42 Drew Help him bring it out.
1:34:43 Adam Yeah, you give him a few beers and then the next time he's on top, you smack him in the ass. You go, is that all you got? And then he'll go, I mean, I swear to God, you could do that to Opie from the Andy Griffiths show and he'd go, you need some more, bitch? I mean, any guy, once a guy gets his game face on, but wait till he's got his game face on. Don't be sitting around before. Wait till he gets going. Wait till he gets a little sweat on his brow and then you can goad him into it. Yeah, just give him a few beers. All right, we'll take a break. We'll be back. It's Loveline. All right, that is it for the show tonight. Get Some Go Again is the name of Henry Rollins' CD. Tower Records, everybody. Sunset Strip. Go out, meet Henry. Seven o'clock tomorrow, and look for his tour coming up at the Rollins Band. Henry, good seeing you as usual.
1:36:07 Henry Rollins Thanks for having me, you guys.
1:36:08 Adam It's our pleasure, and come back soon. I know you well. Until next time, this is Adam Corolla for Dr. Drew saying mahalo.
1:36:15 Henry Rollins Get some, get some, get some, get some.
1:36:17 Caller Ha ha, well now.
1:36:19 Henry Rollins This has been Loveline.
