1:13 Adam Hey, hey, everybody. It's Loveline. I'm Adam Carolla. That is Dr. Drew over there. Phone number 1-800-LLVE-191. Dr. Drew, board certified physician. Addiction medicine specialist.
1:26 Oh, Christ.
1:30 Adam I don't know what to get it on. Should we introduce the guest or should I complain about my dentist?
1:34 Drew No, dentist second.
1:36 All right.
1:36 Adam Taryn Manning is our guest tonight. Taryn.
1:40 Oh, boy.
1:41 Drew There you go.
1:43 Adam Hi.
1:43 Taryn Manning How's it going?
1:44 Adam Good. I'm a little tired.
1:46 Drew You were clamped.
1:47 Taryn Manning You got your tooth worked on.
1:50 Adam I realized you don't burn many calories in the dentist's chair. You just sort of sit there, but your soul smolders. You burn a lot of emotional calories.
2:01 Drew Well, that's because you're-
2:02 Taryn Manning And the dentist talks to you too. That's the worst part.
2:05 Adam Yeah. They want you to answer.
2:07 Drew Not Adam. Adam smokes out, takes much of Vicodin and then turns up the nitrous.
2:13 Adam You know, first thing I got- You open the door and you get chewed out because I hadn't been there in like 14 months. And you know, the chick who's- Adam, what's it going to take to get you in here? First off, the what's it going to take to get you in here argument when you're standing there. It's always kind of a weird one early in the morning. What's it going to take? What do we have to do to get you in here? I'm thinking, where the F am I, honey? We in my goddamn living room? Am I wearing my pajamas? Where are we? I'm here. And I'll tell you what's going to take to get me in here. Stop with the drilling and the scraping. That'll get me in here. I seem to show up other places where there's no drills, there's no surgical instruments. I have no problem showing up at other places.
2:54 Drew I was just thinking how can they make-
2:55 Taryn Manning Dentist is the worst.
2:57 Drew Maybe they could have like, maybe they have Pornos for you.
3:00 Adam What's it going to take? That's what it would take, right? Obviously, whatever it is you've been doing is not working. That's what I told her. All right. I got more to talk about with the dentist, but I want to talk about Taryn's new movie. This is called Crazy Beautiful and it's coming out. What's the release date on this?
3:19 Taryn Manning Comes out Friday, June 29th.
3:21 Adam No, that's this Friday, right?
3:22 Taryn Manning This Friday.
3:23 Adam Yeah. That's with Kirsten Dunst.
3:27 Taryn Manning Kirsten Dunst and Jay Hernandez.
3:29 Adam Who's Jay Hernandez?
3:31 Taryn Manning He's new. He's a new actor, but he's really, really good. He's a good guy. He was discovered in an elevator.
3:39 Adam Doing what?
3:40 Taryn Manning Just like probably going down or up or something. Or maybe coming out.
3:49 Drew Who discovered him?
3:50 Taryn Manning His manager, who just passed away like two days ago. So it's kind of sad, but.
3:55 Adam Wow.
3:56 Taryn Manning Yeah, it's kind of a shame he was a good person.
3:58 Adam And tell us about Crazy Beautiful.
4:01 Taryn Manning Crazy Beautiful is, I don't know, it's crazy. It's, it's like beautiful. Yeah, it's beautiful.
4:08 Drew It's crazy and beautiful. Take notes.
4:10 Taryn Manning It's about, you know, young people falling in love for the first time, which I think we all know can be kind of crazy.
4:15 Adam Yeah.
4:15 Taryn Manning But yet kind of beautiful.
4:17 Adam Right.
4:17 Taryn Manning And it's also really, you know, it's shot really different. And I don't know, it's very realistic. The director is John Stockwell and he's, he was an ex actor, so he's, he's good.
4:26 Adam And what do you mean it's shot differently?
4:29 Taryn Manning I don't know. It's shot like, like if you watch it, it almost looks like it's kind of like the tones are really bluish. It's just like, like kind of documentary-ish.
4:37 Adam Where did you shoot it?
4:38 Taryn Manning In Pacific Palisades mostly.
4:40 Adam Oh really? Oh, I have first time.
4:42 Taryn Manning We're Pali High Girls.
4:44 Adam First time I heard of something that wasn't shot in Canada in like five years.
4:48 Taryn Manning I haven't gotten to go there yet. I'm, I'm mad. But everyone else has.
4:51 Adam I can't believe it. Taryn's also going to be seen with Michelle Pfeiffer and Renee Zillweger and White Orlean. I'm having trouble. That's true. When's that out?
5:02 Taryn Manning That's out next year.
5:04 Adam And what about the movie with Brittany Spears?
5:09 Taryn Manning Yeah, I just did a movie with Brittany Spears. It's going to be her first feature film that she's starring in and she was going to be acting.
5:16 Adam It seemed like this is taking a little while for Brittany.
5:20 Taryn Manning I mean, I think, I think she's been like kind of preparing for it because she knew what was going to happen and she wanted to like, you know.
5:26 Drew Or busy doing other things, Adam.
5:27 Taryn Manning Yeah.
5:28 Drew Everything in its time.
5:29 Adam I guess they did. Did you like Brittany Spears?
5:32 Taryn Manning Yeah. She's really cool.
5:34 Adam Really?
5:34 Taryn Manning Yeah. Totally like normal. We went out. We had fun. She's a normal girl.
5:38 Adam You went out?
5:39 Taryn Manning Yeah. We all went out.
5:40 Adam Where did you go? You can't go anywhere with her.
5:44 Taryn Manning I mean, I know. I don't know how we got in.
5:47 Drew Where did you go?
5:48 Taryn Manning Just out in LA. Just hanging out. We went to her house and hung out, a bunch of us.
5:54 Adam You know, though, there's some people that have a very distinct look who I don't think could hide. But she has a sort of a blank canvas sort of look to her.
6:05 Taryn Manning Right.
6:05 Adam Generic. This is a generic attractive look. I don't mean that in a bad way. But I mean, you're used to seeing her.
6:12 Taryn Manning No, she told me girls would come to her and go, girls go, oh my god, you look like Britney Spears, but you're much prettier to her. That's like that happens to her all the time.
6:22 Adam Well, she dresses pretty scantily and lavishly and all that kind of stuff. I bet if she put on some sweatpants and a baseball hat, get the road.
6:31 Taryn Manning She's just a normal Louisiana girl.
6:34 Adam Who screwed the most as far as that goes? Michael Jackson? I mean, who couldn't? Do you know what I mean? Yeah. Who couldn't hide it? Oh, you know who can't. This guy's like Shaq.
6:44 Drew Oh yeah.
6:45 Adam You can't hide it.
6:45 Drew I mean, so he just he flaunts. He drives in a helicopter.
6:48 Adam You might as well because, you know, you're 7'1, 350 pounds. It doesn't matter what you're dressed in. He could put a, you know, freckles and red wig on like Taryn over here. And people would still jump on him the second, the second he left the house.
7:02 Caller All right.
7:02 Adam So you know how the show goes, by the way?
7:05 Taryn Manning Yeah, I've heard.
7:05 Caller All right.
7:06 Taryn Manning Try me when I can.
7:08 Adam That's right. Dan.
7:09 Hello.
7:10 Adam You're 34.
7:11 Caller Yeah.
7:11 Adam What's up?
7:12 Caller Uh, don't laugh. And I know you're not going to believe me, but I swear to God, the truth. Uh, got a lady that I'm seeing now. Uh, we act, her nickname is actually Puddles. And, uh, she has, she swears up and down that she's never had an orgasm that somebody else didn't give her. And she just has an enormous amount of female ejaculation. I just, an incredible, incredible amount. We've ruined sleeping bags, mattresses, rugs. It just, and we've already gone through the, is this urine? And she goes to the bathroom constantly beforehand.
7:50 Adam Yeah.
7:51 Caller And it's just, it just doesn't stop. I mean, we will go two, three hours and it doesn't stop.
7:57 Adam I mean, we, I mean.
7:58 Taryn Manning Lucky girl.
7:58 Adam You mean with each orgasm more fluid?
8:01 Caller Oh yeah. And I'm not talking about dribble dribble. I'm talking about, you know, you know, geyser.
8:06 Taryn Manning Constant flow.
8:08 Caller Yeah. Yeah, there you go. Nice sound effects.
8:10 Adam Yeah, Dan's from Maine, so geyser is a good word for him. Uh, say geyser one more time, Dan.
8:17 Caller Geyser.
8:19 I know.
8:20 Caller My Jesus, it's wicked good.
8:23 Adam All right, so.
8:24 Caller What I want to know is, what exactly is the fluid to begin with?
8:27 Drew Well, there are multiple glands in that area, Skeen's glands, Bartholomew's glands, all can produce fluid and you know, it's basically the same stuff that would come from your prostate to some extent, same kinds of fluid. It's just what's there to lubricate.
8:39 Adam Are you sure it's not urine, though?
8:42 Caller She was mortified the first time this happened because she thought she urinated on me. I mean, she was literally just totally mortified.
8:49 Drew If it happened so much, I wonder why she doesn't dehydrate?
8:54 Caller Oh, well, she does. I mean, when she knows that we're going to have sex, she'll drink all kinds of water that day. And if she doesn't drink a lot of water, not a lot comes out. But if she drinks, you know, like three or four gallons before, you know, you know, I mean, it's just like, why don't you lay off of the fluid a little bit? Well, no, it's not like it's bad. You know, you like it. You like it. No, no, it's neither one way or the other. I mean, but I know for her, it's more enjoyable for her, you know, whether anything comes out or not, because the feeling is still there.
9:24 Adam Right.
9:25 Caller I just want to know. I mean, this is just really weird.
9:28 Adam Hold on.
9:29 Drew He just went back on himself.
9:30 Adam Yeah. All our callers, they'll always double back on themselves. Well, they'll go, so it's like this, like, oh, well, if she knows she's going to have sex, she'll drink three, four gallons of water before. Three, four gallons of goddamn water? No. Yeah, because no, it's more enjoyable. It's good. Then a second later, well, you know, she gets a sensation whether something comes out or not. No, I don't care either way. But how could you have?
10:00 Drew By the way, the question was, why doesn't she drink less fluid? So less comes out of it bothers her.
10:04 Adam Right. He doesn't care either way. She gets the sensation either way. Why is she loading up on water and then ruining another throw rug? Now here comes, it's not going to be easy. Let's wait through this part of the pond. Dan, if she gets the same sensation with or without fluid and you don't care, then why doesn't she take it easy on the fluids and save your sleeping bags and wood floors?
10:30 Caller Because apparently for her there is, it does feel good to her one way or another, but apparently it does feel better to her. It feels like it's unfulfilled apparently.
10:43 Adam Is this a red light?
10:45 Caller What's that?
10:45 Drew Is this uh... Is she proud of her product? Of what she produces?
10:53 Caller I don't know if I'd say proud, but she certainly... It's thrilled with the idea that she can, you know, that she's never been able to do anything like this and she had never even heard of it.
11:01 Drew We certainly talked to plenty of people to do this. I just wondered how they contain what they do to prepare now.
11:06 Adam I don't even care anymore with Dan. I'm scared to talk to him. We know it is thrown in this tail-chasing loop again. You know what, Dan, this doesn't make any difference to her whether something comes out or not.
11:17 Drew You know what this call is.
11:18 Adam Now it really makes a big difference.
11:19 Drew Three times.
11:20 Adam I'm porking this chick and ringing her like a bar rag. That's right. Three times.
11:24 Drew Never happened to her before. She's so thrilled with it. I'm amazed that it happened.
11:28 Adam Right. He doesn't care either way. Dan is calling to tell the world that he has a big penis. That's basically what it is. He's banging this girl so hard that her soul comes out in liquid form.
11:41 Taryn Manning Yeah.
11:42 Adam That's what he's saying.
11:43 Taryn Manning Congratulations.
11:44 Adam Because Dan had no question. That was a statement and a statement and a statement. The second we attempted to answer his question, he wasn't interested in. You notice that-
11:55 Taryn Manning Yeah. He didn't want to really know what she should do.
11:58 Adam Yeah. We kept going, well, here's a way to remedy that. He was like, I banged the bejesus out of her.
12:07 Drew Well, Dan's a good guy and congratulations. Enjoy.
12:10 Great.
12:10 Adam But just don't call the show anymore. Josh?
12:13 Yeah.
12:13 Adam You're 26.
12:15 Caller How you doing?
12:16 Adam Good.
12:18 Caller Well, here's my problem. I have a genital wart and it's put a damper on my date in life, obviously, but-
12:25 Drew Well, why? Half of your friends have it too. Have they stopped dating?
12:30 Caller I don't know who's got it. Not the true.
12:32 Adam Stop saying this because it makes me think you have warts.
12:34 Caller It's true.
12:35 Adam It really does. Drew has warts. It's true.
12:38 Drew It's true.
12:39 Adam Drew, you say this every goddamn time.
12:42 Drew Because it's the fact.
12:43 Adam It is not the fact.
12:44 Drew It is the fact.
12:45 Adam Nobody has maned to your friends than I do. Nobody. Nobody has maned to your friends than I do.
12:50 Drew You have the virus. I couldn't-
12:52 Adam I have the- How dare you?
12:53 Drew I couldn't detect it, but I know it's got to be there. It's got to be there.
12:57 Adam Okay. Hold on. Josh, hold on a second. Drew.
13:00 Drew Yeah.
13:02 Adam There's a little back history to this wart thing, Taryn. I'm sorry you had to get caught up in this. But Drew has claimed- and anyone who listens to the show with any regularity knows- knows there's two things about this show. Drew reads a book in some sort of hermetically sealed cone of silence all day long, then is- barely sees the light of day and then comes out on the show and spoozes it into the microphone. I go out and live in the real world. Drew says that half the people living in urban settings have the wart virus. And whenever I call them out on that and go, look, I know a bunch of scummy guys who live in a urban setting. I know one of my friends who has had it over the years, and that's the only friend I know. And I know my friend's penises very well. Then Drew comes back and says, well, they have it, but they don't know it, which is a horrible, spurious argument because you can't argue with these people all have it, and they just don't know it, and you don't know it either.
14:00 Drew Well, that's a spurious argument. Of the penile that you're familiar with.
14:04 Adam Of my friends. Yeah, of my friends.
14:06 Drew How many are we talking here?
14:07 Adam Hmm, geez, I'll just say about ten for this argument.
14:12 Drew Alright, so you're gay, and amongst your friends, it's at least ten percent. At least ten percent.
14:17 Adam Well, but there could be fifteen that don't. I mean, I don't know, I'm saying ten percent. I'm saying ten for the sake of argument.
14:25 Drew There's gotta be at least two of them that have it or are telling you.
14:27 Adam No, I know what goes on in my friend's penises.
14:30 Drew We have to light them up here.
14:32 Adam And Drew said the same thing about my penis. He told me I had warts over the air. Suspicious. There it is, you heard that? It's Marcel. No, I said, look, how do I have warts? I've never had a wart on my penis. I'm 37 years old, I've never had a wart. He said, you have it, you just don't know it.
14:49 Drew It's terribly common.
14:50 Adam You have it, you don't have it.
14:52 Drew It's at least 30 percent.
14:53 Adam I said do a test. Do a test on me.
14:55 Taryn Manning But herbes or warts?
14:56 Drew Warts.
14:57 Taryn Manning Warts?
14:57 Drew Look, at least 30 percent.
14:58 Adam Drew, every time you say that, all I hear is I have warts.
15:01 Drew That's all I hear.
15:02 Adam That's all I hear from you. Anderson, am I right?
15:07 Drew How common is cervical cancer? Or cervical changes? It's the preservical cancer.
15:12 Caller Out of the ten male friends.
15:14 Taryn Manning Like a lot of my friends, you know?
15:16 Drew Yeah. So Taryn's making up for what you lack, you see?
15:20 Adam What are you talking about?
15:20 Drew A lot of her friends have.
15:21 Taryn Manning Not a lot, no, I just have heard of it.
15:24 Drew A lot of her friends.
15:25 Taryn Manning Not warts? You said cervical, I'm talking about cervical stuff.
15:28 Drew That's from the wart virus. Oh, yeah.
15:29 Taryn Manning Never mind.
15:30 Drew That's what that is.
15:31 Adam Hey, I'm not saying it's out there. I'm saying.
15:33 Drew It's very common.
15:35 Adam Yeah, listen, when a guy calls in and starts talking about warts and you go, look around, half your friends have it, that's a mis-drew.
15:43 Taryn Manning I don't know, I've never seen it.
15:45 Caller That is suspicious.
15:47 Adam Yes, that's them talking about my wart-free penis trying to salvage a hundred bucks that Drew put on my penis. He dumped acetic acid on it, shined a black light on it in order to see anything, because obviously there's no visible wart.
15:59 Taryn Manning Oh, you did that for him? Yeah.
16:01 Drew Right here, right on the radio.
16:03 Adam Oh, Jesus Christ. I just dumped acid all over my penis. Yeah.
16:08 Drew Yeah, right here.
16:09 Adam Nothing there, although it got what was left of it. Damn acid.
16:14 Drew All right, so what the hell, what were we talking about?
16:16 Adam Well, wait a minute, let's finish with Josh.
16:17 Drew Let's finish with Josh.
16:17 Adam All right, well, hurry up.
16:18 Drew All right, Josh?
16:20 Caller Well, my problem is I really want to ask this girl out, and I haven't yet because of that, but I'm wondering if I do date her, when I should tell her, if I should just tell her right away or wait till her...
16:30 Drew Well, make sure you're going down some path, and that's not seeming too anxious about it, or assuming too much about where the relationship is going to go by going right to the wart history.
16:47 Adam Look, hey, you can just wear a condom.
16:48 Drew Yeah, you wear a condom, she won't get it, okay?
16:51 Caller There's absolutely no way she can get it if I wear a condom.
16:53 Adam Well, okay, so here's the fine line you've got to walk.
16:56 Drew The answer is that's not accurate, but it substantially reduces the risk.
17:00 Caller Yeah, how do you walk away from having sex after wearing a condom and not feeling guilty without telling her, you know?
17:05 Drew Oh, you tell her. You're supposed to tell her. You're supposed to tell her.
17:08 Adam Well, when?
17:09 Drew But you're not, not day two.
17:12 Adam But before you have sex.
17:13 Drew Before you have sex. Not after you have sex, because that will freak her out if you hold something.
17:17 Adam What about if he has no, I know, again, you can't answer this question, Drew. You won't answer this, which is he has no outbreak. He has no visible wart. He does not know if he's contagious. Drew is saying as well, you just wear a condom because it's not Drew's penis. But my thing is, we can't figure this out at all. What about the wood's light in the acid on one side?
17:39 Drew I guess you could do that, but this guy, Josh sounds pretty fastidious about this kind of thing. He's not going to feel right if he doesn't wear a condom.
17:45 Adam All right.
17:46 Taryn Manning He's caring.
17:47 Adam Josh, 80 to 90 percent of the people you know have it, according to Drew, so you don't have to worry about it. Just take it slow and in the off chance that you get to have sex, bring it up.
17:58 Drew Remember that a certain amount of these viruses, the wart viruses, go away over about three to five years by themselves. The ones that persist are the ones that we think are predominantly the ones responsible for cervical cancer.
18:07 Adam James? James?
18:11 Drew 19 from Oregon?
18:13 Caller Hello?
18:14 Adam Hello?
18:15 Caller Whoa, I'm on.
18:16 Caller That's right.
18:17 Adam What's up?
18:18 Taryn Manning Hello.
18:18 Caller Hi. See, like, whenever my boyfriend and I, whenever we get together, it's like I cannot orgasm. And I like, he goes and he gets over with it. And then I go and I go and I go. I just can't get to it.
18:35 Adam What are you doing?
18:36 Caller Well, like, we do anal and we do oral. I mean, we do everything. And I can't get there.
18:42 Drew That's got to be miserable.
18:44 Adam Well, just the anal alone.
18:45 Caller How are you by yourself?
18:47 Adam Does this sound bogus?
18:48 Drew No. How are you by yourself?
18:49 Adam Andrew, does my mic sound weird tonight?
18:51 Drew No.
18:52 Adam Something sounds tinny or strange or something.
18:54 Drew A little bit, a little bit.
18:55 Adam Yeah, not enough for me to raise hell, but it's a little off here, Anderson.
18:59 Caller A little bit of the high end stuff.
19:01 Drew James, are you able to do this? Are you able to ejaculate by yourself?
19:06 Caller Well, yeah, like I was talking to the screener.
19:08 Drew Yeah.
19:09 Caller And he asked me that, and I told him it takes me like 20 minutes, and he said that that was like a really long time.
19:14 Drew That's a long time.
19:15 Caller Okay. How fast am I supposed to be going?
19:18 Drew Everyone has their clock. It's different for different people.
19:21 Adam Well, maybe you're talking about RPM or you're talking about- Tor. Yeah, I don't know. 20 minutes is great. What's your position?
19:30 Caller What do you mean?
19:30 Adam I mean, you're getting a BJ with the-
19:33 Caller Oh, I get- Well, we do both ways.
19:36 Adam You start with the BJ, though, right? You don't finish with the BJ.
19:39 Caller No, we start with the BJ.
19:40 Adam Smooth. Very smooth.
19:42 Caller Now, I was going to ask you- I heard Adam the other day telling about, like, on The Man Show when he was, like, he could do it dry.
19:51 Caller Yeah, he's the dry guy.
19:52 Caller And I'm sitting there going, how do you do that?
19:54 Adam Dry whack?
19:55 Caller Yeah.
19:55 Adam Intestinal fortitude? I don't know. You know, it all depends. It's like, you know, I wipe my ass with my right hand, but I'm left-handed. My buddy Ray whacks off with his left hand, even though he's right-handed. Certain stuff you get started on- I have a right-handed football stance, even though I'm left-handed. I know, I'm talking about right and left hands here. What I'm saying is, you get started on certain things early, that's about it. I mean, you beat off a couple of times at 15 with no lube, and you're set for life.
20:26 Drew James, how often are you ejaculating?
20:28 Caller Well, I try like at least every day.
20:30 Drew Okay.
20:33 Caller I ask a couple of my friends what their technique was.
20:36 Drew Why don't you slow down a little bit? Why don't you try so hard?
20:39 Caller Well, I see I don't always reach it.
20:41 Drew I understand, because maybe you're trying a little too hard. Maybe your body's normal rhythm is more like once or twice a week. Maybe. What? I know, it's shocking.
20:50 Adam For a young guy?
20:50 Taryn Manning Lose your imagination more.
20:52 Drew James had a little energy, you know. It could be all kinds of other things interfering with his...
20:56 Adam James?
20:57 Taryn Manning Yeah.
20:58 Adam James?
20:59 Caller Yeah.
20:59 Adam Caller goes by James?
21:01 Caller Yeah.
21:01 Adam Are you a little bit wacky?
21:04 Caller What do you mean?
21:04 Adam You got some weird energy? People think you're strange?
21:08 Caller People know I'm gay.
21:10 Drew No, no. Not about being gay.
21:11 Adam No, I just mean strange.
21:13 Drew You have any emotional problems, anxiety disorders, anything like that?
21:16 Caller No.
21:17 Drew Depression on medication?
21:18 Caller No.
21:19 Adam You don't wash your hands all the time?
21:21 Caller Of course I do.
21:24 Adam You do, but I mean, you seem like... I don't know, you seem a little spazzy. You a little spazzy?
21:32 Caller Well, it depends on what you mean by spazzy.
21:34 Drew Anxious, anxious, compulsive.
21:37 Caller Well, right now I'm just nervous. I'm not always like this.
21:40 Adam Okay.
21:41 Caller All right.
21:42 Adam Well, don't whack off for three days.
21:44 Caller See what happens.
21:45 Caller Well, that's one of the things I want to ask you about was like, how do you do it?
21:50 Drew How do you do it?
21:51 Caller I just like, I don't know, I rub it, but I really don't know what else to do.
21:57 Drew Wait a minute. Hang on. He was sexually abused.
21:59 Adam You think so? Why? Just to get that vibe, the rubbing part.
22:03 Drew He's talking about something.
22:05 Adam James? Were you sexually abused?
22:08 Caller When I was like three.
22:09 Adam There you go. Drew, everybody.
22:12 Caller All right.
22:13 Adam James, you ever got any therapy for that?
22:15 Caller Yeah, I actually did when I was like 12 and 13. I went to this guy for three years. And I just, I mean, the guy cleared me up. And I've never really, I don't think about it all the time or anything.
22:29 Adam You ever think about women?
22:32 Caller No.
22:32 Drew I think it's affecting, though, your relationship with your penis, if I like a better way of saying it. You're sort of talking about it like it's an instrument detached from you. And, you know, how do you handle this instrument? Tell me, Adam, how is this, what's the grip? What's the proper grip on this?
22:49 Adam It's got a sextant or something between his legs.
22:53 Drew I'm thinking more like a tennis racket. What's the swing on it?
22:57 Adam That he could figure out. Look, you know, telling a 19-year-old guy how to grip his penis and start a masturbation. For me, it would be like explaining to me how to breathe, how to get my heart to beat. How to walk.
23:11 Drew How to walk.
23:11 Adam It's very normal for you.
23:13 Drew Not just Adam.
23:13 Taryn Manning Second nature.
23:14 Drew Yeah, in a male.
23:15 Adam Not second, first. First, honey. There's nothing that comes ahead of that.
23:21 Drew All right. And yes, you had some treatment then. I'm glad that the moods and all have settled down. I'm sure that's what you were dealing with back then. But there's some other stuff needs to be dealt with now. They're a little older, I'd say.
23:31 Adam Isn't it kind of weird that some guy got hold of him when he was three and now he's gay? I know it's an unpopular opinion, but...
23:40 Taryn Manning Maybe it wasn't a guy.
23:42 Adam Yeah, it had to be.
23:43 Caller One more time.
23:44 Adam James? The caller goes by the name of James?
23:48 Caller Yeah.
23:49 Adam Yeah. Who got hold of you when you were three?
23:51 Caller It was like this guy from across the street. I didn't even know him.
23:54 Adam How old was he?
23:56 Caller Oh, boy. I was... Let's see, it was... He was probably about 20, 21.
24:00 Caller All right.
24:01 Adam More therapy, James. All right. He'll tell you how to get a handle on your life and your penis. Okay? Okay, well, I just want to...
24:09 Drew That should be your new motto.
24:12 Adam Get a handle on your life and your penis?
24:14 Drew Your new book.
24:16 Adam Listen, Anderson, I don't care what he wanted to say, and I don't care if you don't care or do care whether he wanted to say something or not. Anderson yelled in my ear what he wanted to say. You know it's going to be nothing good.
24:26 Caller Okay, let's find out really.
24:28 Adam James?
24:29 Caller Yeah?
24:29 Adam Okay, what did you want to say?
24:31 Caller I just want to say you guys rock.
24:33 Adam Thank you.
24:34 Caller The show is like the best thing out there. You guys like, people should pay to listen to you.
24:39 Adam That's right.
24:40 Drew Oh, James.
24:41 Adam Thank you, thank you.
24:42 Anderson, write this date down in your scrapbook.
24:47 Drew For the first time, we went back to a caller and enjoyed the comment.
24:50 Adam That's right.
24:51 Taryn Manning All right. He knew that.
24:53 Drew And followed the direction from Anderson.
24:55 Adam Yeah.
24:55 Drew Yeah.
24:55 Adam All right.
24:56 Drew Two things.
24:56 Adam Well, let's get out before the whole S House comes down and says, Jim Morrison would say, Taryn Manning is our guest tonight. Crazy Beautiful is the name of the movie. It is coming out this Friday.
25:08 Taryn Manning This Friday. Crazy Beautiful.
25:10 Adam We'll take a break. We'll be right back after this.
25:14 1-800-LOVE-191.
25:48 Hey, everybody.
25:50 Adam Loveline, I'm Adam Corolla. That is Dr. Drew over there.
25:56 Caller Yawning.
25:56 Adam Taryn Manning is our...
25:58 Caller Jeez.
25:59 Adam She's our guest tonight.
26:00 Drew I get abuse from both sides.
26:02 Adam She's gonna star in Crazy Beautiful, or already has starred in Crazy Beautiful, which is out this Friday. Kirsten Dunst is in this one as well. And again, this Friday is when it hits the theaters. Also got something coming out with Michelle Pfeiffer, Renee Zellweger, and that's not coming out till next year, right?
26:20 Taryn Manning Next year, 2002.
26:21 Adam And then a Britney Spears movie as well.
26:24 Taryn Manning Britney Spears movie. That'll be first before that one.
26:26 Adam Oh, will?
26:26 Yeah.
26:28 Caller How come?
26:29 Taryn Manning I don't know. I completed that one before The White Oleander.
26:35 Adam Ah. How's Britney's acting?
26:37 Taryn Manning She's good.
26:37 Adam She's good. What are you gonna say? She sucks. She's a bitch, huh?
26:41 Taryn Manning No, she's my friend.
26:44 Adam Really?
26:44 Taryn Manning Yeah. We keep in touch. So, she's cool to be my friend.
26:48 Drew Really?
26:49 Taryn Manning Yeah.
26:50 Adam Where does she live?
26:51 Taryn Manning She lives, well, she has houses everywhere like New York, here, Louisiana.
26:58 Adam Is that where she's from?
26:59 Taryn Manning New Orleans. Well, actually like a smaller town.
27:03 Drew Baton Rouge.
27:05 Taryn Manning No, it's called, I forget like, I forget.
27:09 Adam Spearsville now.
27:11 Taryn Manning Yeah, no, there's a big billboard, home of Brandy Spears.
27:14 Adam Right.
27:14 Taryn Manning Driving in.
27:15 Adam Right. I'm trying to get one of those in North Hollywood.
27:18 Drew Oh yeah, that'll happen.
27:21 Taryn Manning I'm sure it could.
27:22 Drew Just picturing what you'd be doing in that billboard.
27:26 Adam Adam Corolla welcomes you to North Hollywood.
27:28 Hi.
27:29 Adam Carolyn, you're 16. What's up?
27:32 Caller Yeah.
27:33 When I was 15 last summer, I did H seven times. I snorted it in three months and it burned a hole in my nose.
27:44 Drew You're talking about heroin?
27:45 Caller Yeah.
27:47 Still, a year later, I haven't done it since last October and still, it hurts me all the time. I'm constantly aware of it.
28:00 Drew If you push the septum that separates your two nostrils?
28:03 That's where it is.
28:04 Drew If you push, how would you describe what I'm doing here?
28:07 Taryn Manning Pushing up on your septum.
28:08 Drew Pushing up on that. Is it tender there?
28:10 Yeah.
28:11 Caller It burns really badly.
28:13 Drew Can you see a hole through it?
28:15 All the way through?
28:16 Drew Yeah.
28:17 No. I can see it.
28:19 It's really, really red.
28:21 Drew You need to see a doctor by this because you may have initiated an inflammatory process that ultimately will eat through the other side. It get worse? You can perforate the whole thing. You can dissolve the whole damn thing.
28:35 Adam You got one big nostril. Big deal.
28:36 Drew It's miserable when you have that.
28:38 What if I don't go to a doctor because I don't want my family to like...
28:42 Drew You don't have to tell them how this happened. Just tell them that you're having all this pain and inflammation.
28:46 Taryn Manning Yeah. They won't know.
28:48 Drew They will give you some steroid sprays that should clear it up or some creams.
28:51 And I'm on some medicine. Would that interfere with that?
28:54 Drew What medicine have you taken?
28:56 Depakote and effectser.
28:58 Drew No. That's fine. So you're bipolar also?
29:00 Yeah.
29:00 Drew Yeah. Stop the heroin, right? That's not going to help your bipolar disease.
29:04 Yeah. I'm pretty much off all drugs now. And also, I just wanted to say to Adam, I called in about Green Day last week, wanting to get backstage at the Chicago show when Pennywise was in.
29:16 Adam Right.
29:16 And you guys told me to like show up at the venue early and everything. Oh, right, right. And I did and it worked.
29:21 Adam Really?
29:22 On that stage. And I got to show with Green Day in the Living End. I wanted to thank you guys.
29:27 Adam Wow.
29:27 It worked.
29:28 Caller Interesting.
29:29 Adam People do get something out of this show. We didn't stop her from snorting heroin, but we did get her backstage at the Green Day in the Living End.
29:36 Drew She was getting abused by the band.
29:38 Adam Yeah.
29:38 Thank you very much.
29:39 Drew Alright. See the doctor, okay? Any kind of doctor, any regular doctor at your nose, throat, all will be good.
29:45 Adam You know the feeling I miss? And I was just identifying with Carolyn's feeling, which is, and you used to have it all the time. I don't think you have it as an adult anymore. Standing around somewhere you shouldn't be looking around, waiting for someone to tap you on the shoulder. Whether you're backstage, you have no laminate. You're enjoying the concert, but you're just waiting for things to cave in. Sneaking into a movie and waiting for some usher to come up behind you. But do you really sneak into things?
30:13 Drew Do you sneak into stuff anymore?
30:15 Adam No, that's my point. I don't do that anymore.
30:17 Taryn Manning Yeah, but she was in the clear, like when she was in.
30:20 Adam No, but you're never really in the clear because you're hanging out backstage.
30:23 Taryn Manning That's true.
30:23 Adam You don't have a laminate.
30:25 Taryn Manning And you're not like a rock star.
30:27 Adam You're always still kind of waiting. You know, you're kind of looking around trying not to establish any eye contact with any security guys or managers. But once in a while, some guy will shoot you a look and start walking your way. You think he's coming for you. You hold still and he walks past you.
30:41 Taryn Manning And then you look more suspicious.
30:43 Adam There's a little adrenaline rush there. And I don't know whether it was, you know, I mean, this goes through, this permeates all life when you're a kid, when you're in the classroom and you're goofing off and you're copying and the teacher, you think the teacher saw you cheating. Whatever it is, it just was a part of life that doesn't seem to exist anymore. Now you're trying to sneak out of places instead of sneak into places. I don't know where that happens in your life, but you spend the beginning part of your life trying to sneak in everywhere. You want to get into R-rated movies. You want to get backstage. You want to sneak out of your room. Now it's like you try to sneak in. Try to get in, unplug the phone, don't answer anything, shut the fax. You know what I'm talking about? I got some kind of business meeting you're trying to get out of or sneak out of. I missed the sneaking in. I don't like the sneaking out part.
31:30 Taryn Manning You can sneak in somewhere then. Just for fun?
31:34 Adam No, but see now I'm trying to sneak into my bed. Now I'm trying to sneak into places that don't have people in them. You're right. I should go sneak into something. Tim? Yes. You're 28? Yes. What's up?
31:50 Caller Well, where should I start? My girlfriend is a little more than seven months pregnant. Throughout the whole pregnancy, we've been having a lot of problems, a lot of arguing, a lot of her throwing stuff at me. I've done a lot of things. I don't know. It's like I'm thinking I don't want to seem like a deadbeat dad, you know, but maybe we should split up, go our separate ways.
32:29 Adam Should we go to the next topic?
32:30 Caller Yeah.
32:31 Adam Well, look, she's got a lot of hormones coursing through her right now.
32:36 Caller I understand all that. We sort of had some problems before all that.
32:45 Drew Is she using drugs?
32:46 Caller No.
32:47 Drew Was she before?
32:48 Caller No. Neither one of us do. I used to a long time ago, but, you know, I don't miss when they made that now. Neither one of us need to. You know, she's got the pregnancy and I'm in the process of fighting cancer.
33:04 Drew What kind of cancer?
33:05 Caller Colon.
33:06 Drew Colon cancer? 28?
33:09 Caller Yes. It's hereditary.
33:10 Drew Do you have ulcerative colitis or something?
33:14 Caller No, I had, like, about two months ago, I went to the hospital, Queen of Angels. I thought I had appendicitis and they did too, and then next thing you know, they opened me up. My appendix was fine and they saw this mess down there.
33:28 Drew Who else in your family had colon cancer?
33:30 Caller My mother. She died of it.
33:32 Drew At what age?
33:33 Caller She was in her fifties.
33:35 Drew Yeah, but that's when people get colon cancer. In their twenties, that's wild.
33:40 Caller Well, I kind of have a checkered past, you know what I mean. I did a lot of partying when I was younger.
33:46 Adam Yeah, you still shouldn't have colon cancer.
33:47 Taryn Manning Still pretty young.
33:48 Drew Do you have a history of what's called polyposis, multiple colon polyps?
33:53 Caller That I'm not sure of.
33:54 Drew And you had no other medical condition?
33:57 Caller None that I know of. I just had like a physical yesterday for a job. I didn't tell them about that. And they said that I was perfectly healthy. They removed it and I'm taking chemotherapy, but they said they got it all and it didn't spread anywhere or anything like that.
34:13 Adam All right, so you got colon cancer and your girlfriend's still throwing ashtrays at you?
34:18 Caller Yeah.
34:19 Caller That's a tough woman.
34:21 Taryn Manning What are you doing to make her so mad?
34:23 Caller Yeah.
34:24 Adam Tim, you love this woman?
34:30 Caller I hate to use a cliched term, but yes, I love her, but I don't think I'm in love with her anymore.
34:37 Caller Right on.
34:38 Adam All right. Look, how about she give the kid up for adoption? It doesn't seem like either one of you is in a good place to raise this kid.
34:46 Caller Well, no. I mean, she's pretty successful.
34:49 Adam What does she do?
34:51 Caller Well, she owns a business.
34:53 Okay.
34:54 Caller And I'm about to start a new job.
34:57 Adam All right. Well, then stay together and raise the kid. Look, Tim, here's the thing. She's seven months pregnant, right?
35:04 Caller Yeah.
35:04 Adam You got to ride it out for a couple of more months.
35:06 Drew Right.
35:07 Adam Don't make any decisions. You can't break up with her now.
35:10 Drew She may be getting the depression. There's all kinds of things that happen during pregnancy.
35:14 Taryn Manning That's after usually.
35:14 Adam Right.
35:15 Drew But it can get going during and just give her a little bit of a break here. Be supportive and I don't know what the problems were before the pregnancy. He was very coy about that.
35:24 Taryn Manning Yeah.
35:25 Drew What happened? No.
35:26 Adam Listen, I don't care. Just look, she's pregnant. She will never forgive you if you make these last two months difficult on her. Just lay low.
35:35 Drew That is true.
35:35 Adam Never forget. A woman is like a killer whale. You see that movie Orca? They never forget. They never forget. They never remember anything important. But they never forget anything. But you never forget anything emotional. You remember guys. You remember like looks on guys' faces.
35:53 Drew And these screw ups by guys.
35:55 Adam You remember screw ups. Amazing. Amazing memory for screw ups. Yeah. So just, Tim, it does, it really, I know some people are difficult, but still it takes two to tango. Just lay low. Yes dear, no dear. I'm going to go to the next room and read if she seems a little cranky. Just stay out of her crosshairs.
36:13 Drew I agree.
36:14 Adam Right?
36:14 Drew I agree.
36:15 Adam All right. Jenny? Yeah? A lot of guys can't do that though. Are you 32? Yeah. You called last week. You want to update us on a message?
36:25 Yeah, I quit.
36:26 Adam Or massage. Oh, sorry.
36:27 I wanted to tell you that I found an ounce of self respect in myself and I quit.
36:32 Adam Yeah. Now, Jenny called last week. We talked to her for, it seemed like 20 minutes. Got the whole skinny on the erotic massage. Worked at a place, gave guys a rub down, gave a little reach around, made 200 bucks, kept 100, right? All right. And you're a mother of a young two?
36:51 Yeah.
36:51 Adam And this didn't seem like the kind of thing that was for you.
36:54 No. I was just desperate and proud.
36:57 Drew Hold on. We want to talk more.
36:58 Adam We want to talk more to Jenny about this. Although, do we?
37:02 Drew Yeah. Oh, yes.
37:03 Taryn Manning She did it. She quit.
37:04 Drew I want to find out because last week she was talking about, it's no big deal. It's kind of fun. Remember all that business? Now, it's like, what is now? What does it look like now that she's out? What are the feelings? What was she doing? How did she get, you know, she'll have a whole set of things to say, I'm sure.
37:17 Adam She wasn't that crazy about it.
37:18 Drew She wasn't. She was thinking about stopping. But she wasn't saying.
37:21 Taryn Manning But like, what is she doing now?
37:22 Drew What you're going to hear now is that, you know, I could see that I did it by suppressing all these feelings and I felt ashamed and I couldn't. We'll see.
37:29 Adam Yeah. We'll see. Are you just going to tell us what she's going to say?
37:31 Drew I could tell you, but we'll see.
37:32 Adam Well, you think you just did.
37:34 Drew Well, I'd like to be quiet. Confirm.
37:35 Adam You be quiet. Taryn Manning is our guest tonight. Crazy Beautiful out this Friday with Kirsten Dunst and we'll be back.
37:48 Love Line with Adam Corolla and Dr. Drew. We'll be right back.
38:14 Caller Hi, this is Mike Ness from Social Distortion, and you're enduring the love line with Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew.
38:23 Adam Yes, you is. Phone number 1-800-LLV-E-191. Taryn Manning is our guest tonight from Crazy Beautiful, which is coming out this Friday.
38:34 Taryn Manning Crazy Beautiful.
38:36 Adam That's it?
38:36 I thought you were gonna say something.
38:38 Adam That's it?
38:39 Taryn Manning Yeah. I love the title of it.
38:41 Adam It is a good title. Also, got something coming out with Britney Spears and something else with Michelle Pfeiffer and Renee Zellweger. How are they?
38:51 Taryn Manning You know what? I didn't get to do any scenes with either of them.
38:55 Adam You didn't have parts with them in this movie?
38:56 Taryn Manning No, not with them, not in this movie.
38:58 Adam So you didn't get to meet them?
39:01 Taryn Manning That stinks, huh?
39:03 Bummed.
39:03 Taryn Manning I really wanted to meet them.
39:05 Yeah.
39:07 Adam Well, next movie.
39:08 Taryn Manning Not even at the rap party they weren't there.
39:10 Adam Oh, they didn't show up?
39:11 No.
39:11 Adam Those bitches.
39:12 Taryn Manning No, what are they doing better?
39:14 Adam I don't know.
39:15 Drew Did you bring Britney?
39:16 Adam But you know Britney Spears.
39:17 Taryn Manning No, Britney didn't go. Yeah.
39:19 Adam But you hang out with Britney Spears, right?
39:22 Taryn Manning Once in a while when she's not so busy.
39:24 Adam Yeah. I don't know. Doesn't she have enough money? That's the way I always look at everything. She's got to relax a little bit.
39:31 Taryn Manning Yeah.
39:31 Adam How old is she now? 14?
39:34 Taryn Manning 19.
39:36 Adam Jenny?
39:37 Yeah.
39:37 Adam You're 32?
39:38 Caller Yeah.
39:39 Adam All right. So you called last week. You're talking about giving the sensual massage.
39:44 Drew And you were kind of saying it wasn't so bad.
39:46 Adam How did it work? Microphone, hand-drawn?
39:48 Caller Yeah. You know, it wasn't so bad, but Dr. Drew, you kind of hit it on the nail.
39:53 Drew Which is?
39:54 Caller Which is that it just wasn't feeling right.
39:58 Drew What feelings did you have to suppress to sort of get through your work day there?
40:01 Caller What's that?
40:02 Drew Did you find you had to suppress feeling?
40:03 Caller Oh, absolutely.
40:04 Drew What were the feelings?
40:05 Caller Um, a lot of nervousness, a lot of anxiety, a lot of stress.
40:11 Adam Well, that's not what Drew's looking at. Drew, tell her what she was suppressing.
40:13 Drew Did you feel bad about yourself?
40:14 Caller Yeah.
40:15 Drew Why?
40:16 Caller It just felt wrong. It just felt strange.
40:21 Adam All right. But you never really crossed the line. I mean, you crossed a line, but not the line.
40:27 Caller Yeah.
40:27 Adam Did you do a lot of hand work?
40:30 Caller Yeah.
40:31 Caller Evil pot-smoking hand jobber?
40:35 Adam Who the hell said that?
40:36 Caller Who the hell said that?
40:38 Adam Who was it? Jimmy's Chicken Shack. Oh, yeah. All right. So now you're out. What are you doing now?
40:44 Caller Well, I'm teaching. I was doing that already.
40:48 Adam Oh, that's right. That's right. That was the irony.
40:49 Drew Were you purely alert by the money?
40:51 Caller What's that?
40:52 Drew Were you purely?
40:54 Caller I just want to get out of debt.
40:56 Drew And again, in retrospect, it wasn't anything else. You were sort of acting out.
40:58 Caller Pretty much, yeah.
41:00 Adam Yeah. See that, Drew? Well, the reason Drew and I argued about this, thanks Jenny, when we were talking to you last week, which was she wanted to make some easy money and she was willing to sort of compromise her standards, but not to the point where she was, you know, having the Sultan of Brunei's buddies all pull a train on her.
41:21 Drew But this is that same argument, the Harvard student that became a dancer just for money.
41:26 Taryn Manning Well, yeah, but why else would you do it?
41:29 Adam There are shades of gray here.
41:32 Drew That's right. I agree. Jenny may have been just looking for money, but generally, oftentimes, there's an acting out. There's something more than just the money directs them that way to look for those kinds of choices.
41:44 Adam Well, I agree with you. There's a lot of people who would never even consider it. That's just the way they're made up psychologically. But then there are those who never underestimate the allure of money. I mean, people need money, and they do a lot of...
41:58 Taryn Manning And women can easily do that kind of stuff.
42:00 Adam Yeah.
42:01 Taryn Manning It's not that hard.
42:02 Adam It isn't?
42:03 Taryn Manning No.
42:04 Adam No.
42:04 Taryn Manning I've heard.
42:05 Adam You never did anything like that yourself, though?
42:08 Taryn Manning No.
42:08 Adam But what about something like that? Would you do something like that?
42:11 Taryn Manning No, but like... No.
42:14 Adam No.
42:14 Taryn Manning No, but there's been times of desperation where you go, you know, you wonder, like, what you would do. And as a woman, it's really easy to make money doing stuff like that.
42:22 Adam Well, I mean, as a hairy, unattractive man, I've never had that option. Well, or something could get into me.
42:31 Caller Yeah.
42:32 Adam Yeah, I just mean, I would have taken that route, the easy route, a time or two.
42:38 Taryn Manning It's the easy route.
42:39 Drew When you were 15, you would have, like, trained for that. That would have been your career of choice.
42:44 Adam Handies to a strange businessman?
42:46 Caller No.
42:48 Drew Well, yeah. I was thinking more of that if you were a woman.
42:51 Caller Right.
42:51 Drew And that was you.
42:53 Caller Yeah. Okay, Drew.
42:54 Adam I did some gay porn in the late 70s.
42:56 Caller Oh, man, Anderson.
42:58 Jack?
43:00 Adam Jack, you're 37.
43:02 Caller Yes. Hi. Hi, Adam.
43:04 Adam Hi, Jack.
43:04 Caller Taryn.
43:05 Caller Hi.
43:07 Caller 18 years ago. Excuse me. Yeah, 18 years ago, I molested my little sister who was nine years old.
43:17 Adam Is she your biological sister?
43:19 Caller Yes.
43:19 Caller All right.
43:20 Caller Yes. And the reason for my call is about a couple of years ago, I finally had a little bit of clarity. I've been through therapy. And forgive me, I'm a little bit nervous right now.
43:35 Caller All right.
43:38 Caller I'm trying desperately to reach out to her and let her know that I'm not the person, that person 18 years ago.
43:48 Drew Had somebody done something to you at that point?
43:50 Caller No. But when I was 11 or 12, I'm not sure which age, I was forced to do a blowjob on a guy that I thought was my friend.
44:01 Drew Wouldn't that be someone doing something to him?
44:03 Adam Well, I think because this guy who you were forced to do the BJ on was your age, he doesn't look at it as the same kind of thing.
44:12 Drew It's exactly the same thing.
44:13 Adam Well, it's not exactly.
44:14 Drew It's traumatic sexual abuse.
44:16 Adam Yeah. It's not, I would still argue that it's not as bad as a guy who's 25 getting him to give the BJ, but it's still bad and kind of set the table for this.
44:27 Drew Yeah.
44:29 Adam How is it though that your friend who is also 11 or 12 was able to force you to do this?
44:34 Taryn Manning Yeah.
44:35 Caller We were playing a game. We were playing a card game and I cannot remember exactly what the game was. It was some kind of dare game. And when he told me what I had to do, he had some friends there. And if I didn't do what he wanted me to do, I would get beaten up.
44:51 Drew You mansy. Most guys would take the beating.
44:55 Adam Yeah.
44:55 Drew Wouldn't you?
44:55 Caller Yeah.
44:57 Adam I guess. I don't know. I mean, be that as it may.
45:02 Taryn Manning He was like 11, too.
45:04 Adam You molested your sister. How many times did you do that?
45:08 Caller I did it once.
45:09 Adam Just once?
45:09 Caller Yes.
45:10 Adam Why do you think you just did it once?
45:12 Caller Well, it's taken me, I guess, 16 years to finally have some idea. But even I told my therapist that what I did was wrong. And, um, uh, forgive me.
45:30 Drew Did you know it was wrong immediately after you had done it?
45:33 Caller Yes, I did.
45:34 Drew And that's what caused you to stop?
45:36 Caller Um, well, I don't want to get into details if I don't have to, but she told me that she was uncomfortable and I did stop.
45:45 Adam Okay. And during the first molestation, she said she was uncomfortable?
45:53 Taryn Manning How old was she?
45:54 Adam She was nine. She was nine. And how has her life been since?
45:59 Caller Well, when she graduated high school, around 18 or 19, it seemed okay because I would be allowed over to the family home and I remember giving her a hug and everything was okay.
46:17 Drew No, not how's your relationship with her. How has her life been?
46:19 Caller Oh, how's her life?
46:21 Adam Wait, hold on a second, Jack, hold on because we got to take a break. This is interesting. I mean, obviously, Jack didn't do a great thing and I feel bad for him. I feel bad for his sister, but I'm not as angry at Jack as I'd like to be. I think he has genuine remorse for this. He's trying to make it better.
46:41 Taryn Manning I mean, how old was he when he did it?
46:45 Adam He was 18. She was 9. We got to take a break and we're going to come back and we'll get with Jack and we'll figure out how he's going to confront and talk to his sister after this.
46:57 1-800-LOVE-191.
46:58 Adam We'll be right back. It's me, Loveline, everybody. Phone number 1-800-LOVE-191. I think I did that to the drum beat there. Taryn Manning is our guest tonight. She is from Crazy Beautiful, which is coming out this Friday. And she is opposite Kirsten Dunst. Yep. You're her friend?
48:00 Taryn Manning Yep, I play her crazy friend.
48:02 Adam Who, yeah, I could see you doing crazy. I mean, you're a little crazy in real life, right?
48:09 Taryn Manning Yeah, I mean, yeah.
48:11 Caller You're insane.
48:12 Adam No, like crazy good, right?
48:14 Taryn Manning Yeah, crazy all different kind of ways.
48:16 Adam Like quirky crazy, right?
48:17 Taryn Manning Depends on the situation, I mean.
48:18 Adam You're in a band with your brother?
48:20 Caller Yep.
48:21 Taryn Manning We're called Boom Cat.
48:23 Adam Who else is in the band?
48:24 Taryn Manning It's me and my brother mostly, but we have a band we play out, DJ and bass player.
48:31 Adam What do you do?
48:31 Taryn Manning I'm a singer. I play guitar.
48:34 Adam You get along well with your brother?
48:37 Taryn Manning I have. For the most part.
48:40 Adam No, not really.
48:41 Taryn Manning No, we do, Kellan. We get along. We definitely get along because we both play our parts in a band. We both have our separate jobs, but sometimes we both want to be like the leader, but we have to be equal.
48:56 Adam Right. Yeah.
48:57 Taryn Manning It's hard at times.
48:59 Adam Drew, can you imagine being in a band with your sister?
49:02 Taryn Manning Now I know why, like Oasis.
49:03 Drew How about with you?
49:04 Adam Or anybody?
49:04 Drew What about that?
49:05 Taryn Manning Like the Oasis brothers, I always be like, why are they fighting? Their music is so great.
49:10 Adam Yeah.
49:10 Taryn Manning And now I know exactly why.
49:14 Drew I've never met those guys.
49:16 Adam You get the feeling, who are those, the Gallagher brothers?
49:18 Taryn Manning Yep.
49:19 Adam You get the feeling that even if there was one of them or even half of one of them that they'd be going at it with somebody, but two of them.
49:26 Taryn Manning That's right, two of them.
49:27 Adam Not enough room. Not enough room, really, on the continent for those two. I haven't heard much from them lately.
49:34 Taryn Manning That's what I was... Yeah, where are they?
49:36 Adam I don't know if they've dried up or slowed down, or what the hell's up with those two? We'll find out.
49:42 Taryn Manning They're probably working it out.
49:43 Adam Usually when I say bad things about people, they're booked on the show in the next few days, so maybe they'll be coming in here. Jack?
49:50 Drew Yes.
49:51 Adam Okay, so Jack's situation was and is that when he was 18, he molested his sister one time, who was nine. He was somewhat molested when he was 11 by a peer, and he's had some therapy.
50:07 Drew Did you act out on any other children yourself?
50:10 Caller No, I haven't.
50:11 Adam He's done a little therapy, and now he wants to basically have a talk with your sister.
50:18 Taryn Manning How is she feeling?
50:21 Caller I talked to her back in November of 1999. It was a fluke phone call to my parents. I was really nervous when I talked to her, and pretty much it was a casual conversation after how she was. I finished it off, and I told her that I loved her more than anything in this world. I can't remember the exact words I said, but to that effect, and she didn't say thank you. She said, I appreciate it, whatever that meant. I'm not sure.
50:53 Adam So she's what? 28, 29 now?
50:57 Caller She's 26.
50:57 Taryn Manning Did you like move out right after you did it or something?
51:00 Caller No.
51:01 Taryn Manning Weren't you guys living in the same house?
51:03 Caller I was in the home until I was 22.
51:07 Adam All right. So now you're living away from home, and how far away from home?
51:13 Caller Well, let's see. Oh, gosh. 35, 40 miles.
51:16 Adam And how far away from her are you?
51:21 Caller I would venture to say about the same amount of distance.
51:23 Adam Okay. And the family doesn't know about this?
51:28 Caller Yes, the family does.
51:29 Adam Oh, they do?
51:30 Caller Yes. And my question, part two of this question is I feel very left out. I feel like a social outcast.
51:41 Caller Right.
51:43 Caller I feel like my parents, under the circumstances, what more could they do? But time has gone on. You know, it's been such a long time. And yet I haven't been invited to their home.
51:59 Adam How long?
52:00 Caller The last two years I haven't been invited any holiday gatherings.
52:04 Adam When did they find out about this?
52:07 Caller Let's see, when I was 18, when she was 13.
52:11 Adam When she was 13.
52:13 Caller Yes.
52:13 Adam So it was like four years, five years later.
52:15 Drew How did they find out?
52:18 Caller She told them.
52:19 Adam Okay. And yet that was quite some years ago. So you got to go to, you got to live at home. You were still living at home, right? When they found out?
52:31 Caller Yeah. No, no, I was, I was out of the house.
52:35 Drew You told us you were at home till twenty two.
52:37 Adam Well, it was right about then that you found out. Okay.
52:40 Caller When I was twenty two years old, I was kicked out.
52:43 Adam Oh, you were kicked out.
52:44 Caller Yes. Why? Because of, because of what the, what she told my parents.
52:49 Adam Okay. So hold on. Let me talk to Drew.
52:52 Drew I'm very confused.
52:52 Adam No, he, he, he's a little nervous. I usually start yelling about now, but he was living at home when they found out. And then they found out and kicked him out.
53:03 Drew And then they will have nothing to do with him?
53:05 Adam Well, he said-
53:05 Taryn Manning No, just in the last two years.
53:06 Adam Last two years, which is strange because what about the other ten years?
53:10 Taryn Manning Yeah.
53:10 Adam When, uh, or fifteen years or whatever it is.
53:12 Drew And he was talking to them on the phone, telling the sister, I love her.
53:15 Adam All right.
53:15 Taryn Manning Ask that.
53:16 Drew That's a freak to my eyes.
53:17 You want me to ask that?
53:19 Caller Yeah.
53:20 Adam Jack?
53:20 Caller Yeah.
53:21 Adam Yeah. So what about that? They found out, they kicked you out of the house, but yet you weren't completely outcast from the family at that point. Were you?
53:28 Caller No, I wasn't. My parents have made efforts to see me without my sister.
53:33 Adam Well, then why the last two years?
53:37 Caller The last two years? I can't even think straight right now.
53:45 Taryn Manning You said the last two years they haven't invited you.
53:48 Caller Oh, I haven't been invited. No, we've gone out to like restaurants to meet, you know, without my sister and I just feel I feel very left out. I feel like if I could just talk to my sister face to face.
54:01 Adam All right, Jack, how about how about is she is she married? Does she have her own life now?
54:06 Caller Yes, she is married. She has her own life.
54:07 Adam Okay. How about a letter?
54:09 Caller I mean, I've tried a letter. I've tried a letter. I don't know if she's received it yet because it had to go through my my parents first.
54:16 Drew Why?
54:19 Adam It just got a little creepy.
54:20 Taryn Manning Yeah.
54:21 Caller Well, there you see my situation. My parents seem to be protecting her.
54:27 Taryn Manning Yeah, they're not letting you.
54:29 Drew Have you been stalking her or something?
54:31 Caller No, I have not.
54:32 Adam Why? Do you know what her home address is?
54:36 Caller No, I don't.
54:37 Adam You don't know where she lives. You would have no way of contacting her.
54:41 Caller I do not have any idea of address, phone number.
54:44 Adam Okay. All right. I've got the plan.
54:50 Drew Go ahead. We're all waiting.
54:51 Adam We need to kill ourselves in a big Jonestown type mass suicide.
54:57 Taryn Manning He needs to figure this out.
54:58 Adam There's more to this story than meets the ear. You know, his parents are sort of staying with him.
55:03 Taryn Manning I think it happened more than once, maybe.
55:07 Adam I believe him when he say it happened once. His parents are freaked. His sister may be having problems and maybe this is coming back into Jack's lap.
55:18 Drew And the parents are a better piece of work.
55:20 Adam Parents do really seem like a piece of work.
55:23 Drew Ask him.
55:24 Adam Yeah, ask him, ask him. How do you think we'll get a straight answer?
55:26 Drew It's been one of those nights. It's been good.
55:27 Adam Okay, are your parents...
55:29 Caller Yes, I'm still here.
55:30 Adam Are they a piece of work, your parents?
55:32 Caller I'm sorry, go ahead.
55:32 Adam Are your parents a piece of work?
55:35 Caller No, I love my parents, believe it or not, to death. I think very highly of my father.
55:40 Adam I know you love him, but Hitler's dog loved him. Are they a piece of work though?
55:46 Caller No, they're not. They're very good people.
55:47 Adam They're good, fair, honest people.
55:50 Caller Where's my bourbon?
55:51 Adam Right?
55:52 Caller Yes.
55:53 Adam Okay, so here's the plan now, Jack. I put Jack on hold. He can listen to my plan. He cannot get to his sister unless he goes to his parents. His parents, they're tearing the family apart, even though Jack got things going many years ago. But for Christ's sake, it's been almost 20 years.
56:09 Taryn Manning Like they should let him talk to her, you know.
56:11 Drew But he has to prevail upon them.
56:12 Adam Here's what he needs to do. He needs to write a letter that's going to her. Then he needs to meet with his parents. And he needs to say, look, you know what's going on. Let's see if we can heal this. Here's the letter I've written.
56:25 Taryn Manning Spell check.
56:25 Adam Let me, yes. Take a look at it. Tell me what you think. Is there anything I've left out? Do you feel good about this? Okay, if you do feel good about this letter, here it is. It says, could you please pass it along? I won't be waiting by the phone, but just please, in the name of the family, pass this thing along.
56:44 Drew Still, something missing.
56:46 Adam Something missing, but if the only way you can get the letters to them, and he's not sure if the parents are passing it along, then I would say open that up. They're good, fair, honest people. He's described them. He has a dialogue with them. He can go out to dinner with them, show them the letter, and then pass it along. This is why I don't want to have kids, by the way. Yeah, this is it.
57:05 Drew It's kind of freaky. So they don't abuse each other?
57:08 Adam I'm just saying that I'm sitting at home, I've retired, I'm trying to relax, unbutton my pants and watch some Discovery Channel, and oh Christ, Jack wants to meet over at the Red Lobster Tuesday night to discuss the letter. That's the one I'm sending the wife on. Look, honey, I trust you implicitly. Go meet him, here's 40 bucks, get a nice shrimp cocktail, and if you think the letter should, green light it, if you think it will light. No problem. You know what I mean? Do you really want to, as a dad, don't you just, you just want to relax a little bit to get your kids around the house.
57:44 Caller Oh, okay.
57:46 Adam Estella?
57:47 Yeah.
57:47 Adam You're 15?
57:48 Caller Yeah.
57:49 Adam What's up?
57:50 Caller Like I'm not sure about my sexuality, you know? Like I think I'm bi, but sometimes I think I'm less, and sometimes I think I'm straight, you know? I'm not sure.
57:59 Drew Well, you're 15.
58:00 Caller Yeah.
58:01 Drew So that's sort of common 15-year-old feelings.
58:04 Caller Yeah. But like I'm more attracted to girls, like more girls are more attracted to me too, you know?
58:09 Drew Are you sexually active?
58:11 Caller Not really. Like every once in a while.
58:13 Drew With girls?
58:14 Caller Yeah.
58:15 Adam You ever been with a guy?
58:18 Caller Was about to, but I didn't feel comfortable, because I don't want to, you know?
58:22 Drew How old were you when you started having sort of physical relationships?
58:25 Caller I was 14.
58:26 Adam With girls?
58:28 Caller With both of them, but not like with a guy I would just rub on some, you know, just play around and stuff.
58:33 Drew That 14-year-old girl when you were 14, was she, the other person was 14 also?
58:38 Caller Yeah.
58:40 Adam All right. So you got some feelings for women.
58:43 Taryn Manning Yeah, but like going through all kinds of emotions right now.
58:46 Adam 15?
58:47 Caller Excuse me?
58:48 Taryn Manning Said you're having all kinds of feelings at 15, you know?
58:51 Drew And it may be dealing with being lesbian. That's probably one of the feelings you may be having, being ambivalent about coming to terms with that.
58:57 Adam I don't know. We always say, don't declare a sexual major if you're confused. But is it important? I mean, do you think?
59:04 Drew To declare?
59:05 Caller Not really.
59:06 Adam You don't think so?
59:07 Caller No, not really.
59:07 Adam All right. Well, then who cares?
59:09 Drew You guys are cool and?
59:11 Adam Ass.
59:12 Caller Yeah.
59:15 Adam I just don't think the S word has become, I don't think it's considered profanity anymore if it's used.
59:21 Drew Every third word on South Park.
59:23 Taryn Manning I just came right out.
59:24 Adam Every third word? Yeah. They got on South Park on their premiere. I guess it was their premiere last week or the week before. They said the S word 163 times.
59:36 Drew Wow. Good times.
59:38 Adam Now, here's the thing that's funny about that.
59:40 Drew They didn't mention underpants though.
59:43 Adam We, no, it's not the funny thing about it. I, Drew, please, would you let me have a thought over here for a second.
59:50 Caller You know how difficult it is for me to think.
59:52 Drew Yeah, I'm sorry.
59:53 Adam We deal at the Man Show, which premieres this Sunday, by the way, the big Man Show premiere ten o'clock on Comedy Central. We deal with the same censor, Renee is her name, that they deal with. And ever since we got the 163S word in our back pocket, there's no stop at us because every little thing she fixates on, on our show and tries to correct on our show, we immediately throw the 168 or 163S right back in her face. So that's the beauty of it for us.
1:00:32 Drew 163, you guys are just going 163S's, 163.
1:00:37 Adam I call her Miss 163 now when she picks up the phone. I'll tell you, you people who have not had an argument with a TV network sensor really have not lived. It is some of the most surreal conversation in the world, just bizarre, bizarre conversation.
1:00:56 Drew I think the underpants discussion was one of the more.
1:00:59 Adam Yes, one of them was, I could say underpants, but I couldn't say underwear.
1:01:02 Drew It was the other way around?
1:01:03 Adam No, I couldn't say, right. I could say underwear, but not underpants.
1:01:06 Drew And we had one with MTV at one time too, didn't we?
1:01:08 Remember that?
1:01:09 Adam It was the same woman, by the way. No. Yeah, yeah.
1:01:13 Wow.
1:01:14 Adam Yeah, she went on to Comedy Central. Her love affair continued. Eric?
1:01:20 Yeah.
1:01:20 Adam You're 19?
1:01:21 Caller Yeah.
1:01:22 Adam What's up?
1:01:23 Caller Basically, I've had an eating disorder for quite some time. Probably since I was about 12 years old or so. Just kind of through the course of high school, it's something that's always really bothered me. I've always kind of gone on these attempts, I guess, to try and correct it and start dieting, start exercising, that sort of thing, to start kind of living a little bit more healthier. I'm 19 now and it's still with me. I'm just wondering, is eating disorder something so serious that you have to seek out therapy to fix?
1:01:59 Adam What was your eating disorder?
1:02:02 Caller Basically, just bingeing, just eating as much as I could. And then throwing up? I've done that a few times but not a whole lot.
1:02:11 Drew So you just go on the binges?
1:02:12 Caller Pretty much, yes. Are you overweight? Well, yeah.
1:02:17 Drew How much weight?
1:02:18 Caller I'm about 250.
1:02:20 Drew How tall are you?
1:02:21 Caller 6'5.
1:02:22 Drew That's close to my weight.
1:02:24 Caller Well, you know, I've talked to doctors before and they've told me I should probably be shooting for about 210.
1:02:30 Drew Yeah, 210 would be good.
1:02:31 Adam Well, it kind of depends what your body type is.
1:02:34 Caller Well, you know, I've actually got a pretty thin frame and I know I probably should be a lot less and I look overweight. Alright.
1:02:41 Adam Well, how about the diet and the exercise?
1:02:44 Caller Well, it's just really weird every time. You know, I've just tried it so many times, you know, over the years and I just can't break it. I mean, it's so damn hard.
1:02:57 Drew Can't break what?
1:02:58 Caller Just the cycle, I guess.
1:03:00 Drew Of what?
1:03:00 Caller Of overeating. You know, like I'll try and just, you know, try to stay healthy, stay diet for like a week and after that I just can't handle it. I have to eat something.
1:03:11 Adam Well, how about you let yourself go off for a day and then you come back and you do that?
1:03:15 Caller What do you mean?
1:03:16 Adam Well, you know, you want a couple in and out burgers, you have a couple in and out burgers and the next day you go for a jog and eat some kelp or something.
1:03:24 Taryn Manning Yeah, like what are you eating when you binge?
1:03:27 Caller Mostly like just like chips, corn nuts, you know, that kind of stuff.
1:03:33 Drew Could you binge on healthier foodstuff?
1:03:35 Taryn Manning On carrots?
1:03:36 Caller No, no, you can't binge on carrots. You don't want to eat them.
1:03:39 Taryn Manning Vegetables?
1:03:40 Caller I don't think so.
1:03:42 Drew How about seeing a dietician sort of getting a monitored plan going?
1:03:45 Caller A dietician? Well, you know, I've tried kind of more, you know, direct approaches like that in the past, like joining a club, getting a personal trainer, you know, kind of sitting down at the plan and following it. And, you know, even that, I just... And the thing is, the problem itself, it's so... I'm so obsessive about it that if I can't kick, you know, the eating habit, I can't do anything else.
1:04:10 Drew Well, how about... Oh, that's ridiculous. But how about going to get some mental health services?
1:04:15 Caller Mental health services?
1:04:16 Drew Yeah.
1:04:16 Caller Like?
1:04:17 Drew Like a therapist, somebody to figure this out for you. Maybe a psychiatrist. Maybe there's some biological treatments that can be helpful to you.
1:04:22 Adam You know, maybe I'm just being insensitive because he's a young guy, but it sounds like he's putting all his eggs in this eating basket.
1:04:30 Drew Yeah.
1:04:30 Adam And it sounds like he has bigger problems than this and other problems.
1:04:33 Drew Absolutely.
1:04:35 Adam Because you really...
1:04:37 Caller Well, you know, I definitely have other...
1:04:39 Adam Yeah, you do. Because, you know, your eating habits, you're...
1:04:44 Drew They're not that bad.
1:04:45 Adam Not much different than the average 19 year old.
1:04:48 Drew I'm not even sure if they'd qualify for eating disorder, frankly, that meet formal criteria.
1:04:52 Adam Yeah, you're not throwing it up. You're not taking laxatives.
1:04:55 Drew You certainly are obsessive. Certainly obsessive compulsive.
1:04:58 Caller Right.
1:04:59 Adam And that's what you need to focus on.
1:05:00 Drew Yeah, and that may be more the issue here.
1:05:02 Caller Well, you know, the thing is, in the past, I've just, you know, I try to build myself up, you know, and kind of be really positive about it and try to attack it and take care of it and just get it done with.
1:05:12 Drew Do you have a body image distortion as well? Do you think you're overweight when other people tell you you aren't?
1:05:18 Caller Well, you know, I definitely can stand a loose weight. That's for sure. That's reality.
1:05:24 Drew That's what he's saying.
1:05:25 Adam All right. But he does actually he does what I remember. My mom used to do this, which was it just put all her energy into diet and eating. And it becomes like a life. Like my mom would be eating. And about halfway into the meals, she'd slide back her chair and she'd go, slow down, slow down.
1:05:48 Taryn Manning To herself?
1:05:49 Adam Yeah, no. Well, no, not to herself because I would know. But she, I mean, to herself, yeah, to herself, to herself, but out loud, you know? And she'd go, she'd go, slow down. It's not a race, you know? And then once in a while, she'd be one of these people that have like a donut and go, I'm really, I'm really racing right now because I'm riding a pretty good sugar high. You know, they make a big deal out of food. You know, they make, they make everything and everything. You know, it's like, I ate a burger. So, now I have to punish myself, you know.
1:06:18 Taryn Manning Now it's a whole disease.
1:06:21 Adam It becomes, it is about food, but it's more just about obsessing. And food is a great thing to do because it's such a part of your life. It enters your body. It's everywhere you look and it's every day of your life.
1:06:33 Taryn Manning There's all different kinds.
1:06:34 Adam You know, in the X amount of days you're on the earth, how many of them go by that you don't eat? You know what I mean?
1:06:42 Drew There's kind of an aggressive quality to eating too. That's how you manage aggression.
1:06:47 Adam Right.
1:06:47 Drew Managing eating too.
1:06:48 Adam And Eric, it doesn't seem like the diet is the problem. It's just his obsessive nature which is going into his food.
1:06:55 Drew Geez, no wonder.
1:06:56 Adam That's what needs to work out.
1:06:57 Drew I'm just thinking, if Eric has an eating disorder, you had an eating disorder.
1:07:01 Adam How dare you?
1:07:02 Drew Think of your binges.
1:07:03 Taryn Manning Maybe he has the munchies.
1:07:04 Drew No, no. What would you binge on?
1:07:06 Adam I ate three Grand Slams at a Denny's once. Big deal.
1:07:09 Drew No. How about when you were babysitting?
1:07:11 Adam You know how many three Grand Slams is like 12 pieces of sausage, 16 pancakes or 12 pancakes and six eggs.
1:07:20 Caller Whatever it was.
1:07:21 Drew How about when you go babysitting?
1:07:23 Adam Well, I go babysitting when I was a kid. I used to babysit my neighbor when I was like 11 or 12. I'd go to the house, open a can of pie filling. Boisbert pie filling. Dump that into a bowl, then put a bunch of miniature marshmallows on top. And some Toll House morsels and like a handful of crunch berries.
1:07:47 Drew Cow chocula.
1:07:48 Taryn Manning That's what happens when you babysit. They have the best food.
1:07:50 Adam You just spin out.
1:07:52 Drew His mom was so obsessive that he became a binger.
1:07:56 Adam What my mom did is she was so such a health nut. There's all this brown rice and tofu and all that nonsense. That the second I broke loose of the prison that I lived in, I was like, those movies where the people have been trapped out in the desert for weeks and the next thing you know, like in the movie when Tom Hanks was out on the island, The Survivor, the Castaway movie. Then next thing you know, you're back in civilization. Big planter shrimp in front of you and some Swedish meatballs. You just go insane. The feeling is, I may not see this for a while. I got to dig in. I still have that now, by the way. Thanks, man. Appreciate that. All right, let's go eat. Taryn Manning is here from Crazy and Beautiful, which is out this Friday. We'll take a little break and we'll be back.
1:08:58 Caller Um, back in a minute.
1:09:22 Caller Hi, this is Jesus Christ.
1:09:23 Caller This is Eric Cartman.
1:09:25 Caller And this is Counselor Mackie.
1:09:27 Caller Okay, we're from South Park.
1:09:29 And you're listening to Love Line with Adam Carota and Dr. Bruce.
1:09:33 Caller Hey.
1:09:36 Adam Yeah, the S-word, 162 times, everybody. All right, Drew, let's get it together and move on with the show, huh?
1:09:47 Drew Yeah, man. You're going to be such a god damn piece of mess tomorrow night.
1:09:54 Adam Yeah, I got to get up at 430 in the morning and do a bunch of radio for about three hours today or tomorrow or whenever that is and then going to be doing that politically incorrect tomorrow night. No. I'll tell you, I know it sounds like I'm complaining and that's true, but sleep deprivation, man. And, you know, everyone looks forward to show business and want to get into show business and you never hear actors complain about it and the pay is great and the food is great and the travel is great and the perks are great, but they don't tell you about the sleep part.
1:10:29 Taryn Manning Yeah, they don't.
1:10:30 Adam And there's some crazy stuff going on. I mean, you know when you're out promoting, right? You do a show like...
1:10:37 Taryn Manning No, just like filming a movie.
1:10:39 Adam Oh, yeah.
1:10:39 Taryn Manning You got like eight hours to drive home, sleep in, drive back.
1:10:43 Adam Oh, yeah, if you're lucky.
1:10:44 Taryn Manning If you're lucky.
1:10:45 Adam But when you hit the promotional trail, you're doing this show till midnight and then you're supposed to be up at 6 and I swear to God, I'd like to move to New York just for that because we got to shave three hours off of all our get up time over here. All right. Taryn Manning is our guest tonight. She is Crazy Beautiful is the name of the movie. This Friday. Out this Friday. See, that's good promotion. Rex?
1:11:12 Hello?
1:11:13 Adam You're 29.
1:11:14 Caller I am 29.
1:11:15 Adam What is up? What's going on, Rex?
1:11:18 Caller Oh, nothing. I'm stuck in traffic and felt it was an opportune time to go ahead and voice my concerns to some professionals.
1:11:28 Drew Where the hell is there traffic at 3 in the morning?
1:11:30 Caller Well, I'm on the Ambassador Bridge. I just saw the big North American fireworks there in Detroit and a million people light gathering in North America.
1:11:39 Taryn Manning Is it a holiday?
1:11:41 Adam Well, is that free?
1:11:42 Caller There are independents coming up shortly, so that might blow off the fireworks. It's a big deal.
1:11:48 Drew Canadian independents?
1:11:49 Adam No, our 4th of July here.
1:11:50 Drew I was talking from Canada.
1:11:52 Caller Well, I'm originally from the Michigan. We watched them on the Canada side because...
1:11:57 Drew Why am I so confused? The fireworks are on the 4th of July, not in preparation for the 4th of July.
1:12:03 Caller At any rate...
1:12:04 Adam Yeah, I don't know. Rex?
1:12:06 Caller Yes.
1:12:06 Adam Please tell us why they were lighting off fireworks a week before the 4th of July.
1:12:12 Caller Well, you know, I don't know. It's kind of like, I guess, Hanukkah. How come they take up 8 days of nonsense there? You know, it's...
1:12:20 Drew Because that's how long the candles last, the lamp lasts at 8 days. There's a very specific ritual associated with that. Independence Day is so...
1:12:28 Caller Well, this is like the pre-4th of July ritual, though. This has been going on since the time of the Indians.
1:12:34 Drew Not anywhere else in the country. So I don't know. Maybe Detroit's different.
1:12:38 Caller Yeah, Detroit is different.
1:12:39 Adam All right. I'll buy the fact that they lit the fireworks off. The only part I'm confused about is the part where you think we're nuts for bringing it up.
1:12:46 Drew Yeah.
1:12:46 Adam I mean, it's a week before the 4th of July.
1:12:49 Taryn Manning This is normal to him.
1:12:50 Adam All right. Well, anyway, Rex, what's your question?
1:12:53 Caller I have a girlfriend who's 21 years old. We have a very nice relationship, and everything goes very well. We're very communicative. We get along great in pretty much every aspect, as well as in the bedroom. Other than the fact that, and this is nearing the point where there could be a breakup as a result of it, she won't let me commandeer the anal sex portion of it.
1:13:19 Adam I see. Could you turn your... Yeah, Rex, turn your radio down, please.
1:13:23 Caller There you go.
1:13:24 Caller And she just thinks it's a terrible, terrible thing, whereas all our friends are trying to explain to her that it is, and can be a very tender experience.
1:13:34 Drew And for many women, it's a terribly painful experience that cannot be tolerated.
1:13:38 Caller Right, right.
1:13:39 Drew So she's obviously one of those.
1:13:41 Caller Well, she hasn't even tried it.
1:13:44 Adam What's that?
1:13:45 Caller She has not even given it a whirl. She's given it, I mean, a very...
1:13:49 Adam Well, listen, Rex, keep pushing. You may get the story where she gave it the whirl and didn't enjoy it. That's not going to be pleasant, by the way. There'll be fireworks going off in the bedroom. But...
1:13:59 Taryn Manning It's really not that important.
1:14:01 Caller Is it not that important? I mean, some people are prone to saying that it's, you know, one of the best experiences that a woman can have.
1:14:10 Drew Oh, please. What are you talking about?
1:14:13 Taryn Manning Yeah, but if she doesn't want to have it, then...
1:14:15 Adam Hold on a second. Rex sounds like he's from the National Anal Institute. He's got some literature between his legs, and he's on a propaganda campaign. Look... Maybe he really wants to please his... No, he wants to please nobody.
1:14:31 Taryn Manning I know.
1:14:31 Adam Thank you. He wants to please himself.
1:14:33 Drew He's a very aggressive guy.
1:14:34 Adam Well, he's kind of a... He's really just a dick. Rex is kind of out of it. You know what? When women complain about men, they're talking about Rex. He's not a rapist, not a pedophile, doesn't shoot or stab anybody. He's just... Rex is looking out for Rex, basically.
1:14:52 Taryn Manning He can't just have like normal sex. He's got to like...
1:14:55 Adam No, he's got a nice 21-year-old, and he's got to soil her up with his stinky poo-poo penises, basically.
1:15:01 Drew Yeah, it's not what she wants. It's about him having to sort of commandeer her, as he said it himself. Those are the words he used.
1:15:07 Adam Right. Now, look, some women enjoy anal sex.
1:15:11 Drew And they'll let you know.
1:15:12 Adam And some women don't. And it's more women that don't than do. Now, here's Rex's theory. Maybe she loves it, and she just doesn't know it. Right. Well, you know what? You could say that about me in anal sex. You could say that about Drew and getting cornholed. You could say that about me and blowing some prisoner. You could say that about anybody. I mean, you could float that theory with anybody and anything. Right. You know what? There's no answer to that question, because if the person is not inclined to do it, then we will never know.
1:15:43 Taryn Manning Maybe she'll come around.
1:15:44 Caller No.
1:15:45 Adam I sincerely hope not.
1:15:47 Caller He's immediate.
1:15:48 Caller What do you mean? Why is nobody in my camp?
1:15:50 Adam Nobody's in your camp.
1:15:52 Caller I realize this. I thought maybe you guys were the professionals that you are, and knowing that different anatomies are different and responsive to different things, that perhaps this is something that she's missing out on, and I don't want to know.
1:16:06 Drew Rex, if you're infuriating me, cut the BS and just speak in regular tongue. What do you mean?
1:16:13 Caller I am.
1:16:15 Drew See, she might be an anatomical specimen that's slightly different and have different...
1:16:20 Caller I'm not trying to impress anybody with the way I speak. I'm putting it forthright in your...
1:16:27 Drew The seems more forthright tonight.
1:16:29 Caller He's well read.
1:16:29 Adam I'm starting to get in your camp, Rex. This Drew's giving me a pain in my ass. What do you do for a living? Are you a salesman?
1:16:35 Caller Am I a salesman? Absolutely not.
1:16:37 Adam What do you do for a living?
1:16:38 Caller What do I do? I drink currently.
1:16:41 Adam You do what?
1:16:42 Caller I'd be a bartender.
1:16:43 Adam Oh, you mix drinks. I see. Here's the deal. If she wants to do this, that's fine. And if she doesn't want to do it, there's not a whole lot you can do to get her to do it.
1:16:54 Caller Well, see, this is why I think that she honestly doesn't. She's a little bit perhaps just apprehensive about it because it's a new experience. Because the other night the inhibitions were a little bit low due to some libations. And she wanted to give it a whirl and then kind of check out at the very last possible moment.
1:17:12 Drew Because it hurt?
1:17:13 Caller Well, no, she only gave it about, if I can say, about a quarter inch of an effort.
1:17:20 Drew And then it hurt?
1:17:22 Caller Well, I think she's just panicked.
1:17:23 Drew Rex, listen to me. He drives me crazy.
1:17:28 Adam Hopefully he'll just drive off some branch on the way back to Canada.
1:17:30 Drew He can't even acknowledge that she was in pain. He can't even say simply without some bizarre, twisted, convoluted, crazy...
1:17:37 Taryn Manning Yeah, it doesn't sound like he is considering her.
1:17:40 Drew Not at all. Not one bit.
1:17:42 Taryn Manning No.
1:17:43 Adam Rex is a jack-off. I mean, let's face it. Rex, please, take a good long look in the mirror.
1:17:48 Caller He's an idiot.
1:17:50 Caller You're an idiot.
1:17:52 Adam There's nothing wrong with anal sex, but your girlfriend, your 21-year-old, and by the way, this is part of the problem with hooking up with a chick that's near 10 years younger than you are, is not ready for this. I'm sure she'll be ready for it at 25, but she's a few years off.
1:18:11 Caller No, she won't.
1:18:11 Taryn Manning Maybe she will.
1:18:12 Adam She may try it out.
1:18:14 Drew It's terribly painful for many women. I mean, seriously painful.
1:18:18 Adam I am saying this, Drew. A lot of women sort of start slowly sexually and start building into stuff. I hope that she's cornholing some guy a few years from now other than Rex, just to rub a little duke in his wound.
1:18:32 Drew That's all. Don't people drive you crazy who speak with such affectation?
1:18:37 Adam Yes, it drives me insane.
1:18:38 Drew She's having some life patience at the set moment.
1:18:41 Adam He's drunk. He's driving home to Canada. Let's just hope he stays there. And this is, I just hope she dumps Rex. But Rex, Godspeed. Good luck to you and all that.
1:18:52 Caller Matt.
1:18:54 Caller Hello.
1:18:55 Adam Matt, you're 18. What's up?
1:18:57 Caller Well, I hate to tell you this, but I lied about my question.
1:19:00 Drew All right? Oh, and it didn't come off.
1:19:02 Adam Oh, okay. Well, the bad news is he was on hold for 54 minutes.
1:19:07 Drew And I want to hear what he has to say.
1:19:09 Adam He got to speak three syllables.
1:19:10 Drew Come on in. Let's hear him. Matt.
1:19:13 Caller Yeah, I'm here.
1:19:14 Drew All right. Well, quick, before Anderson cuts you off again.
1:19:16 I just want to say hi to Adam.
1:19:18 Caller Funniest man in the world.
1:19:19 Caller I don't mind saying on hold for now. That's all right.
1:19:21 Caller As long as I get to talk to you, Adam.
1:19:23 Adam Thanks, buddy. All right. And I'm going to dedicate the rest of this evening's show to you, Matt.
1:19:30 Caller Oh, thank you.
1:19:31 Adam A good buddy listening in Chicago.
1:19:32 Caller Too kind of you. Too kind.
1:19:34 Taryn Manning I wonder what story he made up, though.
1:19:36 Caller I said my penis was bent to the side because I masturbated too much.
1:19:41 Adam Thanks, Matt.
1:19:42 Caller No problem.
1:19:42 Adam Appreciate the call and you hanging on and all that good stuff.
1:19:46 Caller Oh, yeah.
1:19:46 Adam All right. Take care of yourself.
1:19:47 Caller Good times.
1:19:48 Adam Good times, buddy. That's a good guy, that man.
1:19:51 Taryn Manning Yeah, that's a good one.
1:19:52 Adam It's good people, that man is. Estevan?
1:19:56 Caller What's up?
1:19:57 Adam Estevan? How do you say that?
1:19:59 Caller Uh, yeah.
1:20:00 Adam How do you pronounce your name?
1:20:02 Caller Huh?
1:20:02 Adam How do you pronounce your name?
1:20:04 Caller Just Stephen.
1:20:06 Adam Stephen will work?
1:20:07 Caller Yeah.
1:20:08 Adam Okay.
1:20:09 Caller Stephen will work.
1:20:10 Adam All right. Stephen, you're 17. What's up?
1:20:12 Caller Yeah.
1:20:13 Caller See, how do I say this?
1:20:14 Caller My boss, he's like obsessed with sex. I have no idea. I know he's been claiming sober for six years.
1:20:22 Drew Cleaning sober?
1:20:24 Caller He's sober.
1:20:25 Caller You know, he was kind of a little drug addict.
1:20:28 Drew What was his drug?
1:20:30 Caller You know, alcohol, pot, cocaine, I guess.
1:20:32 Drew Okay.
1:20:33 Caller And, you know, I guess he's quit that addiction. But, you know, I just don't know. He has another addiction, just like sex. I know he hasn't gotten laid in a long time.
1:20:45 Drew A significant majority of addicts are also sex addicts.
1:20:48 Caller Yeah, because I don't know what to tell him anymore, you know.
1:20:52 Drew Why are you even involved with him that way?
1:20:54 Caller He's my boss.
1:20:55 Drew Yeah. Well, bosses aren't supposed to talk to their inferior, their employees about their sexual frustration.
1:21:01 Adam I do.
1:21:03 Drew Where do you work? What kind of place?
1:21:05 Caller I work at a factory.
1:21:08 Drew Huh?
1:21:09 Adam No, where do you work?
1:21:10 Caller I work at a skate shop.
1:21:11 Drew And how old is he?
1:21:12 Caller He is like 34.
1:21:13 Adam Is he gay?
1:21:14 Caller No, he's not gay at all.
1:21:16 Drew Oh, because he was going after him or something?
1:21:18 Adam Yeah, so what do you care?
1:21:18 Taryn Manning Do you guys talk about it together? Or is he just constantly?
1:21:21 Caller You know, he'll just talk about it.
1:21:23 Adam He's a horny guy.
1:21:24 Caller Like, yeah, no, but...
1:21:26 Adam Is he married? Is he married?
1:21:28 Caller No, he lives with his mom.
1:21:29 Caller Oh, yeah.
1:21:30 Adam Do you, are you gay?
1:21:32 Caller No, I'm not.
1:21:33 Caller All right.
1:21:34 Adam Forget it. Who cares? This guy's not threatening him. He's just going, I'm horny.
1:21:41 Caller Who cares?
1:21:43 Adam Right, who cares?
1:21:44 Taryn Manning All right, move on.
1:21:46 Adam If the guy's bothering you, just tell him.
1:21:47 Taryn Manning Yeah, just say it.
1:21:48 Drew I think it's inappropriate. Is his boss at work?
1:21:50 Adam Yeah, it's not coming on to him. Just, you know, just knock it off. That's all. All right, should we take a little break?
1:21:56 Drew Sure.
1:21:56 Adam Now, really, I want to salvage this section of the show by talking to Jessica. Jessica?
1:22:02 Caller Hi.
1:22:02 Adam You're 16.
1:22:03 Caller Yeah.
1:22:04 Adam You knew this guy. You saw him at NA. You want to know if you should date him?
1:22:09 Caller Yeah.
1:22:13 Adam You met him at NA. Is that what you're saying?
1:22:15 Caller Well, I knew him before from school.
1:22:17 Adam I see.
1:22:18 Caller But I got to know him in NA.
1:22:20 Adam All right. So you're both in Narconics Anonymous.
1:22:23 Caller Yeah.
1:22:23 Adam What was your drug of choice?
1:22:25 Caller Well, I didn't choose to go there. My mom's forcing me to.
1:22:30 Adam What was the drug you were taking? Okay. What was his drug?
1:22:36 Caller Alcohol. It's like this teen ananus. Okay.
1:22:40 Adam All right. And he's your age?
1:22:41 Caller Yeah. All right.
1:22:42 Adam Hold on a second. We'll tell you what to do.
1:22:44 Caller Okay.
1:22:44 Adam All right. We'll take ourselves a little break. Taryn Manning is here from Crazy Beautiful out this Friday. And we'll be back with Jessica after this.
1:22:56 Caller Adam and Dr. Drew will be right back on Loveline.
1:23:30 Adam Hey, everybody, it's Loveline. I'm Adam Carolla. That is Dr. Drew over there. Taryn Manning is our guest tonight. Crazy Beautiful is the name of her latest joint. Kirsten Dunst is also in that, and that is coming out this Friday. Gotta give a quick shout out, Drew, as I- Dan, your boyfriend. Don't ruin it.
1:23:51 Drew Oh, sorry.
1:23:52 Adam It's his birthday in about 15 minutes, so I gotta give a shout out to Dan, the man, Kellison, who's celebrating his big 37th.
1:23:59 Taryn Manning Happy birthday.
1:24:02 Adam And Sal, my pal, Icono, who's in the car with him. So that's my new thing now. I do the radio show.
1:24:10 Drew Shout out to your friend.
1:24:11 Adam My buddy Daniel gets drunk, and then he calls me and wants shout out while he's driving home from the restaurant.
1:24:20 Drew Daniel, we got to talk.
1:24:21 Adam All right, you're going to talk to Drew. Jessica? Yes. Daniel, if you're listening in the car, Drew is very interested and fascinated in your lifestyle. He would like to have a discussion with you. And but more importantly, Drew, I don't want you to talk to Daniel. I would like Daniel to straighten you out. Oh, you understand that?
1:24:40 Drew No.
1:24:41 Adam You could get more from him than he could get from you.
1:24:44 Drew How do you figure?
1:24:45 Adam Look at you, you pee-whipped son of a bitch.
1:24:48 Drew Oh, that part.
1:24:49 Adam Oh, yes. Yes.
1:24:50 Drew If I start hanging out. Okay.
1:24:52 Adam They're hanging out. That's right.
1:24:54 Taryn Manning I'm hanging.
1:24:55 Adam Jessica?
1:24:55 Taryn Manning Yeah.
1:24:56 Adam You're 16 now. What's going on?
1:24:59 Caller Okay. I like this guy, but I knew him from school, but I recently got to know him in NA.
1:25:05 Adam Okay. How long have you been sober?
1:25:10 Drew Not at all.
1:25:11 Caller Since BFD.
1:25:12 Taryn Manning Your mom's making her.
1:25:14 Drew When was BFD?
1:25:15 Caller Like a week?
1:25:17 Drew Well, look, you're not, you don't go to those meetings to meet people, and it tends to screw up your ability to participate in any meaningful way in recovery.
1:25:24 Caller Well, I don't want to recover.
1:25:26 Drew Yeah, I know you don't, but clearly there's a need and people are concerned about you. So for us to say, hey, go enjoy yourself, pick up another, you know, find a relationship there and enjoy, that completely derails any possibility of anything coming out of this.
1:25:39 Adam That'd be great too for mom. It's like, well, the bad news is the recovery didn't take. The good news is she got herpes from another guy in the group.
1:25:47 Drew A herring addict.
1:25:49 Caller He knows him.
1:25:50 Adam Okay. Why are you so hell-bent on defying your poor mother?
1:25:55 Caller Well, I'm not, but like she goes to meetings with me.
1:25:59 Adam Your mom does?
1:26:00 She has to be there too.
1:26:02 Adam Why? Did the court force this on you?
1:26:06 Caller No, CPS.
1:26:08 Drew Child Protective Services?
1:26:09 Caller Yeah.
1:26:10 Drew Why?
1:26:11 Caller Well, we got in a fight one day and there was a bruise. And so I ran away to my friend's house and she called the cops and all these people got involved and she's a little bit of an alcoholic.
1:26:26 Adam Right.
1:26:26 Caller There you go.
1:26:27 Adam You resent her and you're out of control and you're acting out.
1:26:31 Caller I don't have a dad.
1:26:33 Adam Shocking, shocking. Meanwhile, this is where every one of my tax dollars is going to because you and your freaked out mom can't figure out how to get along. I got to pay for the cops and the child protective services and the meetings. Please, can you just straighten up a little, Jessica?
1:26:47 Caller Yeah, but he's really cute.
1:26:48 Adam All right, so date him. I don't care. But just you work on yourself. Stay off the weed and start listening to your mom and stop calling the cops. Everyone, stop calling the cops.
1:26:59 Taryn Manning Who called the cops? Her mom?
1:27:00 Adam Yeah, her mom. Unless someone's got a knife or a bullet in them, just don't call the cops anymore. Just stop it, everybody. What do they do? Is there something between the cops and the meter maids that can handle the chicken ass? I'd like to call them the chicken ass squad. They carry mace instead of a gun. They handle the domestic disputes. When the neighbors call, there's a party going on and the music's too loud. They handle all the chicken ass stuff. Yeah. They also, you know, when you see all the cops staked out with the radar gun and the jaywalking tickets and all the traffic violations, what I like to call chicken ass stuff, the chicken ass patrol will handle that.
1:27:43 Drew The CS squad.
1:27:44 Adam The CS squad, a notch above parking enforcement and a couple notches below peace officer.
1:27:51 Drew I said the East Police will come.
1:27:52 Adam And they work in conjunction with the East Police. That's right. The YPers and the CSers, right, all right. Should we keep going here?
1:28:04 Drew Yeah, I think we should. Please.
1:28:06 Adam Why not? Jennifer?
1:28:07 Yeah, hi.
1:28:08 Adam Hey, you're 18, Perky. What's up?
1:28:10 Caller Okay. My problem is, the situation is about a week ago, I messed around with my boss's son. And he's had a girlfriend for about, I don't know, a year or something. And he's messed around, like he's screwed around with other girls while he was dating her before. And like now the situation is really awkward because he comes into work all the time and I don't, and he like avoids me.
1:28:34 Drew How old is he?
1:28:35 Caller He's 19.
1:28:36 Drew What kind of work is this?
1:28:37 Caller I don't want to say.
1:28:38 Drew What kind of work?
1:28:40 Caller It's, I work at a nursery.
1:28:42 Drew Nursery?
1:28:43 Caller Yeah, like a plant nursery.
1:28:45 Adam Right.
1:28:46 Caller What kind of plant?
1:28:48 Adam And his dad owns the nursery.
1:28:50 Caller Um, yeah, something like that.
1:28:53 Drew Okay. You're fat.
1:28:54 Caller Thanks.
1:28:56 Drew So I understand, so you messed around and he doesn't want to go further with the relationship. It's always awkward when people sort of have to see each other.
1:29:03 Caller Well, but it's like we've never discussed it. Like it's not like...
1:29:06 Adam What did you do with him?
1:29:07 Caller Um, I don't know. We took a shower and made out and I was about to go further, but I had to leave.
1:29:15 Adam Oh, I see. How did you swing the shower?
1:29:18 Caller It was... He brought it up. He came up... He brought me... We were drinking at work. We were co-workers and he had to bring me home because I was intoxicated. And we hung out for a while and he brought up the shower idea.
1:29:30 Adam That's great. And by the way, a mental note, kick dad in the nuts for not owning a business again because this... When your dad owns a place, this is what you get to do. You get loaded at work and you finger the employees in a shower. It's what you get to do as the boss's son.
1:29:44 Taryn Manning Shower on the first day too.
1:29:46 Adam All right. And you like him, right?
1:29:49 Caller Well, that's the thing. I haven't been really... I haven't had sex in seven months with a guy. I'm not really attracted to guys. And I'm really attracted to him and I would like to have sex with him, but he's not... Like we've seen each other like three or four times since last week and he just completely avoids me.
1:30:08 Drew He's got a girlfriend.
1:30:09 Adam He's got a girlfriend. He's freaked out.
1:30:10 Caller But it's like...
1:30:12 Drew Hey, Jennifer, he's freaked out. He doesn't want to...
1:30:14 Adam He's got a girlfriend.
1:30:15 Drew Yeah, he can't talk about this.
1:30:16 Caller All right. I don't... But, okay.
1:30:18 Adam You just want sex.
1:30:19 Caller I can't explain the situation.
1:30:20 Taryn Manning Yeah, but she's feeling something from him.
1:30:22 Drew You can tell.
1:30:23 Caller Yeah, it's like...
1:30:24 Drew Be that as a mate.
1:30:25 Caller He doesn't approach me and like...
1:30:27 Taryn Manning He probably likes you and he's freaking out.
1:30:29 Drew He comes up and touches you now?
1:30:30 Caller Well, no, it's like... I can't even explain it. Like, you know, just like how you... When you're...
1:30:36 Adam I don't care. Do you care?
1:30:39 Drew I'm curious, yeah.
1:30:40 Adam She's not... Thank you.
1:30:41 Drew Who cares?
1:30:42 Adam She's not going to say anything any good, is she? You know, how when you're there and somebody does something that's kind of like this and they don't really do it, but you still sort of know what they're talking about. You know, didn't that work? We're going to get... He's got a girlfriend.
1:30:56 Drew He's freaked out.
1:30:57 Taryn Manning But obviously, how much does he like his girlfriend if he does this all the time?
1:31:01 Drew Oh, he's 19.
1:31:01 Adam Not that much. But if he dug Jennifer and he had her naked in a shower and his daddy was the boss and she was an employee and he was hanging around, he'd be working something out. This guy's a guy smooth enough to get her drunk and get her in a shower on the first... Not even the first date.
1:31:20 Taryn Manning That's pretty sweet.
1:31:20 Adam Believe me, he can work it out.
1:31:22 Taryn Manning That's right.
1:31:22 Adam He knows how to manipulate women and when he's interested in someone, he doesn't play coy. She'd be right back in that shower if he wanted her back in the shower and he knows she's willing. He's just not that interested. Look, everybody, you can have a girlfriend and still be a little fascinated with other people. He's probably fascinated with her, but he's bisexual chick that works at the nursery.
1:31:45 Caller Right.
1:31:46 Adam That's right. She's the crazy bi with the bulbs. Stephanie?
1:31:53 Caller Yes.
1:31:53 Adam You're 23.
1:31:54 Caller Yeah.
1:31:55 Adam What's up?
1:31:56 Caller I'm completely overly addicted to sex.
1:32:00 Caller I want it all the time.
1:32:01 Caller I constantly think about it. I even go home from work to have a little fun with myself.
1:32:07 Adam You got to go home to Master Bay?
1:32:09 Caller Well, yeah.
1:32:10 Adam I beat off at war.
1:32:11 Caller Well, and the work's really crowded. The parking lot's like three inches long.
1:32:16 Drew It's what she's saying if she could.
1:32:17 Caller Overcrowded.
1:32:17 Adam I see.
1:32:18 Drew She had her own dressing room or something like you do.
1:32:20 Taryn Manning Are you in love with somebody right now?
1:32:23 Caller I have a boyfriend. But he's never around.
1:32:25 Caller He works too damn much.
1:32:27 Drew So you're having sex with someone else?
1:32:29 Caller I have and I want to all the time. And I'm having a hard time just staying faithful to him. I haven't since I've been together with him this last time because we broke up before, I haven't done anything with anybody. I'm just having a really hard time about it.
1:32:42 Drew Are you or have you been addicted to anything else?
1:32:46 Caller Nothing to think of. Eating. That's about it.
1:32:51 Adam And you've never been molested or raped or anything?
1:32:54 Caller No.
1:32:55 Caller I think about sex. I mean about constantly every single day everything reminds me of sex.
1:33:03 Adam Pre-occupation. Alright, so diddle yourself, just don't cheat.
1:33:08 Caller I was wondering if there was some sort of drug or anything that would make my urges.
1:33:13 Drew There are, and you might go and yeah, Taryn's saying no, don't, don't, God no.
1:33:17 Taryn Manning Don't do that yourself.
1:33:18 Drew There's a website, National Council on Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity, the ncsac.org. You can get some information there.
1:33:24 Adam Alright, we'll be back.
1:34:01 Drew Well, mercifully, another episode of Loveline comes to a close. Taryn Manning was our guest. The movie is called Crazy Beautiful.
1:34:07 Taryn Manning Make sure you go and see it. It's good.
1:34:09 Drew Opens Friday. She is opposite Kristen Dunst, and looking forward to it.
1:34:13 Taryn Manning Thank you.
1:34:13 Drew Crazy Beautiful.
1:34:14 Taryn Manning It's crazy.
1:34:15 Drew Thanks very much. It's been a pleasure having you here. And in spite of my partner's behavior, I want to apologize. But say on his behalf, this is Dr. Drew for Adam Corolla saying mahalo.
1:34:26 Caller Who cares? This has been Loveline. The opinions expressed on this show are not necessarily those of the staff, management, sponsors, or this station. The producer for Loveline is Ann Wilkins Dingle. This is a presentation of Westwood One Entertainment.
