1:05 Run!
1:07 Voiceover Adam Corolla and Dr. Drew Loveline, Coast to Coast.
1:12 Voiceover It is Loveline. I'm Adam. That's Dr. Drew over there. Phone number, 1-800-LOVE-191. Dr. Drew, board certified internist and addiction medicine specialist. Now before we get into the guest and the topics and all that tonight, we'll just sort of play tonight by ear. I think that was the agreement. Yes, Drew?
1:35 Drew Yes, sir.
1:36 Adam If you want to call in, you have a question for our guest, New Found Glory, that's fine. And if you have a piece of broccoli growing out of the end of your dork, that's fine. And if you have some feelings about the tragedies that have come upon us earlier in the week, we'll talk about that. So we'll just kind of do a grab bag and mix it up. We've been dedicating the last couple of nights to the recent tragedies, but I think we'll just do sort of a little fruit salad tonight. Whatever you want to talk about, that's what we'll get into. New Found Glory is here, Ian Cyrus and Chad, all here from the band. Thank you. New Found Glory, go out and buy that CD.
2:16 Drew You know, Adam, on the cover of that CD, there's about a 1972 Playboy. Does this evoke any visceral kinds of feelings or look closely at that picture? He can probably name the two on the cover, I bet you.
2:27 New Found Glory He installed that from his dad.
2:29 Adam Yeah. I'd say, is that 72? It almost looks like 69 or something like that. Maybe. I don't know, but we're doing a Hugh Hefner roast on Comedy Central in a few weeks that I got to go do and I was just sitting around trying to write jokes about him. But one of the things I was thinking about, and see, Drew, you got me going on Playboy. I was thinking, imagine Hugh Hefner when he was like 34 and he was married, and he was living in Chicago and he wasn't doing anything with his life, and then he has this plan. It's like, I got this great idea. I'm going to publish this magazine. I'm going to dump my wife. I'm going to go buy a castle on the West Coast. I'll have celebrities come by.
3:11 New Found Glory Hundreds of beautiful women.
3:13 Adam And parents will send their young beautiful women from around the country, their young daughters, their 18, 19 year old daughters, for me to boink and photograph in the nude, and I will become a millionaire. I mean, just think about the Playboy empire. It's not like Hugh Hefner was born into it. He was some schmo like working at an advertising firm out of Chicago, had a wife and a little two bedroom house.
3:37 Drew You know he raised money for it? He went around his neighborhood and sold shares. In this non-existent company.
3:42 Adam Yeah, he got like five grand together and got a picture of Marilyn Monroe in her underpants and the rest is history.
3:47 New Found Glory It's pretty funny because we all have dreams. Like when we were little our dream was like to be in a band and to go on tour. And his dream is like I'm going to go to California and get hundreds of women naked.
3:58 Adam And not only I don't have to go out and recruit these women, they will take planes, buses and trains to get here and line up for the opportunity for me to pork them and photograph them in the nude. You know like worst case scenario you get a hand job in a nude poster. You know I mean like that's worst case scenario, right? And then you just sit around and look at pictures of nude women going yeah good but not great. Yeah like spread a little cheek let's see maybe that'll get you in. Alright so anyway thanks for bringing up Playboy. New Found Glory was in here how long ago?
4:42 Caller It was a few months before the summer.
4:45 Adam Yeah and have you been touring ever since?
4:48 Yeah.
4:49 Adam Oh but you guys are young you got a lot of energy.
4:52 Caller It's fun.
4:52 Adam You're into it? And what about is everyone a little freaked out now?
4:57 Yeah.
4:57 Adam With the travel?
4:58 New Found Glory Our whole schedule is pretty much you know we were always afraid of just flying and traveling and now we're definitely afraid and now it will never fly again. We're trying to set up a we're supposed to go to Europe and that's gone everything. We're on tour a blink and the whole schedule is rerouted and completely different and it's all really scary because we're all away from our family and just it's pretty creepy I mean.
5:20 Adam But did you get trapped out anywhere because of the schedule or were you guys in a bus?
5:24 New Found Glory We were in a bus we were driving and we were in Arizona and we woke up to the TV on our satellite in a bus and we just woke up and we're like I mean it's just a weird feeling you know waking up and seeing that on TV and we actually played a show that night in Arizona and dedicated the whole set and had all the fans still showed up and for us music is like our emotional outlet and same thing with the kids that go to our shows and I don't know it's pretty it's pretty it's pretty wild.
5:50 Caller It was crazy because that morning on the way to the show the first thing we heard was that that whole street was closed off because there was a federal building somewhere on that block.
5:59 Adam In Arizona.
5:59 Caller Yeah and I guess they ended up opening up the street but it was so weird that whole morning like trying to call you know your parents are seeing the messages on your phone because they're on the East Coast and they heard about it first and nobody knew where anybody was.
6:11 New Found Glory We have a lot of friends in New York. New York City and stuff that we've been in contact with, kept in contact with and it's crazy tragedy. I mean I have a friend, my friend Toby who's in a band and he has the twin towers tattooed on his body. He lived in New York City all his life and it's just crazy. We tour in New York City all the time. We're going to be playing there in November and we're going to have our whole tour. We're set up with donations and everything because we're going to do our best to do all that we can to support everything going on.
6:41 Drew I was thinking about this all day.
6:42 New Found Glory That's great, by the way.
6:43 Drew Somebody needs to stand up, stand tall and just keep going. I want my leaders to do that and somebody needs to do that for other people, young people and you guys if you just keep going and even if the bullets are whizzing, you just stand up and do what you do to help get.
6:58 Adam Bullets whizzing.
6:59 Drew I don't mean literally, I mean figuratively. I think you feel like that's what's going on, you still stand tall and lead, do your job.
7:06 Adam Speaking of bullets whizzing, you guys ever been out in a big concert, festival seating type thing and had someone throw one of those mini Jaeger Meister bottles at you from about 70 rows back?
7:15 Caller Well, our fans are-
7:16 Adam That's danger, Drew.
7:18 Caller Our fans are usually-
7:19 Adam That's ground zero on that stage.
7:20 Caller Our fans are usually younger, so we don't get like Jaeger Meister bottles. They're like Coke and it's like Sprite bottles. I got hit in the head with a full Pepsi bottle at one show.
7:28 Drew Oh my God.
7:29 New Found Glory A lot of shoes. It hurts.
7:30 Adam Yeah.
7:30 New Found Glory A lot of shoes.
7:32 Adam Anything hurts from 70 rows back. The guy's all hopped up on X or amyl nitrate and he chucks one of those things. He's probably as starved as a high school baseball team.
7:43 New Found Glory It actually hurts worse when they throw stuff and all the liquid spills out on stage, and then when you slip on it and fall, it actually hurts a little worse than getting hit with the bottle itself.
7:53 Adam Well, New Found Glory is the name of the CD. I got some dates here that I imagine are pretty close to sold out with Blink 182 coming up Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, but they got changed. So these are the new dates. But if they were sold out before, wouldn't the people who had the tickets from the previous show just be able to cash them in at this one?
8:15 New Found Glory Yeah.
8:15 Adam Okay. But I'll give you those dates and I'll give you those locations, and we'll do that as the show wears on. We'll hear something from New Found Glory as well. And we'll hop back the phones and talk to Donald. Donald?
8:28 Hello?
8:29 Adam Hey, you're 13. What's up?
8:31 Caller Hi. Hey. This is kind of embarrassing, but I've lost the testicle.
8:39 Adam Yeah. Did you check under the car seat?
8:43 Caller Yeah.
8:43 Drew That world that you want to...
8:44 Adam It gets under. Yeah. Everything.
8:46 Caller I got in a bike crash.
8:48 Adam Oh, I see.
8:49 Caller I like smashed it and it crushed.
8:53 Adam Right.
8:54 Caller So, like, I went to the doctor's.
8:57 Adam Hey, turn your... Did you hit your head too, Donald, or...
9:00 Caller No.
9:00 Adam Are you listening to the radio in the background?
9:03 Caller I'm listening to the radio.
9:04 Adam Okay. Well, you got to turn that down, right?
9:07 Caller Okay.
9:07 Adam It's on a delay.
9:09 Caller Yeah.
9:09 Adam Yeah.
9:10 Caller And, like, so, I went to the doctor's, and they x-rayed it and stuff. And they said it was crushed.
9:16 Adam Right.
9:16 Caller So, like...
9:17 Drew Didn't that hurt like hell?
9:19 Caller Yeah.
9:19 Drew How long did you wait before you went to the doctor?
9:21 Caller Like, I tried to get there, like, as fast as I could.
9:23 Adam As he could ride his bike.
9:25 Caller Yeah. And, um...
9:26 Drew So, they took it out, huh?
9:28 Caller Yeah. So, like... And I don't know if I could have, like, kids or anything.
9:32 Adam Oh, yeah. You're fine.
9:34 Drew Absolutely no problem. But didn't you ask that question?
9:37 Adam To the doctor?
9:38 Drew Didn't you ask that question when they were doing this?
9:40 Caller Yeah, but, like, they didn't, like, answer me, though.
9:42 Drew No, it's no problem. No problem.
9:44 Adam By the way, shouldn't they have some literature, like, So You Lost the Nut, you know, a little pamphlet you can take home with you? How to live your life. You shouldn't feel ashamed. Yeah. This is a... This is, uh, you know, you can have children. I mean, shouldn't they send you packing with something?
9:59 Drew Yeah, the empty ball sack and you.
10:01 Adam Right.
10:02 Caller Yeah.
10:02 Adam Hey, Donald.
10:04 Caller Yeah.
10:04 Adam They didn't give you a prosthetic one?
10:07 Caller No.
10:08 Drew That's all right. You don't need one.
10:08 Adam Would you want one?
10:10 Caller Uh, I guess.
10:11 Adam No, but you wouldn't. You know what? Let me tell you something about the nut sack. We've talked about it before. It's the ugliest thing that God has ever created. So how could it get uglier? And you trying to dress it up with a fake nut. You know, that's like, it's like when some, when 80 year old women put on that real red lipstick.
10:26 Drew Yeah, same thing.
10:27 Adam You want to hump them all of a sudden. Yeah, it's getting caught up in the lip, they got food in it. They have a little palsy so it gets all over their face. It's like, honey, it doesn't, it's not making it better. Just go without. Same with the nut sack. You're not going to make it look any better. No, my testicles got ants on it.
10:45 Drew You're going to be fine. Absolutely fine.
10:46 Adam Maria?
10:48 Yes.
10:48 Adam You're 29.
10:50 Caller Yes.
10:50 Adam What's up?
10:52 Caller I was wondering, how long is Paxil typically used and in what dosage?
10:57 Adam Sounds like it. Are you angry, Maria?
11:00 No, I'm not.
11:01 Adam How come your answer even sounds a little angry?
11:05 Drew The question sounds angry.
11:06 Adam You're okay? You like men?
11:09 Caller Yes.
11:09 Adam You love your dad?
11:11 Caller Yeah.
11:11 Oh.
11:13 Drew Yeah.
11:15 Adam Okay. All right. There you go. That's better.
11:19 Drew Dose is usually between 20 and 40 milligrams or 10, 40 and the rule of thumb is you stay on it for six months after symptoms subside. But these days, therapies tend to go on a little bit longer in that there's about a 50 percent probability that it'd be a recurrence in the symptoms you're being treated for. It's an antidepressant medicine, Paxil. Paxil. 50 percent chance things will recur in that year or two afterwards. So people sometimes now are getting into much longer term therapies.
11:47 Caller All right.
11:48 Um, yeah.
11:50 Caller Oh, well, I have another question also.
11:53 Adam Yeah.
11:53 Caller What is the...
11:54 Adam I don't know. I'm not crazy about your attitude. So you can ask someone who likes you.
11:57 Drew Or hold on for a while and we can...
11:59 Adam Yeah, hang on. All right.
12:00 Drew Think about that other question.
12:01 Adam All right.
12:02 Drew She doesn't understand why you're punishing her. She has no awareness of how hostile she is.
12:05 Adam I don't like her vibe. I want people kissing my ass on the show.
12:10 Drew Yeah.
12:11 Adam Yeah.
12:13 New Found Glory They should be polite if they're calling you for help.
12:15 Drew I'm not polite. I'm grateful.
12:17 Adam No, I want like a good ass licking.
12:20 Drew Kiss my ass, Adam.
12:21 Adam I'm a big celebrity, Drew. I'm a B slash C celebrity. All right. Let's talk to Heather, who's 18. Heather?
12:30 Hi.
12:30 Adam Hey, you're on with New Found Glory. What's your question tonight?
12:34 Yeah, I would just like to address some comments that I heard earlier.
12:39 Adam Earlier tonight or?
12:40 Yeah, tonight.
12:41 Drew Must have been last night, because you're in Austin.
12:44 No, I was listening to the radio before I called.
12:46 Drew That's right. That's last night's show.
12:47 Oh, that's last night's show.
12:48 Adam Day delay, but go ahead.
12:50 Whatever.
12:50 Adam Go ahead.
12:52 Okay. Yeah, I was hearing some stuff about... Well, I'm Muslim, okay? And I mean, I know about the whole tragedy thing, and to be honest, it honestly disgusts me what happened. But I don't appreciate the way that my religion is being downsized because of it.
13:13 Adam Well, you got to understand there's going to be a certain amount of that. I mean, it's fairly logical. Yeah.
13:19 No, go ahead.
13:20 Adam No, I was thinking, you know, there is a certain amount of that, and it's not right. But think about what it would be like if you were some Christian terrorist in a Muslim society and you did this act of violence.
13:35 Drew No, you were a Christian and a Christian terrorist had done it.
13:39 Adam Whatever. You'd be dead meat. And there's a certain amount of that going on in this country and no amount of it is good. But I think you got your best chance being in this country than you would in another country being that way. Do you know what I'm saying? I don't know if that answered your question, but you know what my point is?
13:57 Drew It doesn't make it right. It doesn't make it right.
13:59 Adam That's for sure. But what specifically?
14:01 I have friends that have been persecuted for no reason because they didn't cause that thing. I mean, our religion strictly forbids what happened.
14:12 Adam What happened to your friends?
14:14 Their professors and stuff were talking about the incident. They were like, kill all the Muslims and all this stuff.
14:20 Adam No, no way.
14:21 Drew No, no. No, the FBI, then they should have called the FBI. Seriously, they should have called someone. That's a hate crime, and hate crimes are against the law. Even advocating a hate crime.
14:31 Adam No professor said kill all the Muslims.
14:33 No, they were talking about it. I mean, I know because one of my teachers was talking about it too, but another student spoke up and said it was offending him, so he stopped.
14:41 New Found Glory Where is she from, Arizona?
14:43 Adam Yeah, it's got to be junior college. No, Austin.
14:45 New Found Glory What's the heat?
14:46 Drew Austin, Texas.
14:48 Adam Heat, frying the brain. Hey, what college are these friends of yours at?
14:53 They're in Houston, actually. They go to St. Jack in Houston.
14:59 Drew Maybe it's a fundamentalist school.
15:00 Adam Well, who knows? All right. So any other objections?
15:04 Something about the whole marriage thing and having more than one wife and stuff like that.
15:10 Adam Right.
15:10 That's not a highly common practice.
15:13 Adam Well, we didn't talk about that.
15:15 On the other show.
15:16 Drew No.
15:17 Adam No, never talked about it.
15:18 I heard something about virgins.
15:19 Adam Oh, Drew. Yeah, if you're a martyr, you get some virgins.
15:23 Drew In heaven.
15:24 Adam Right. In heaven, not on earth.
15:26 Actually, that's not true.
15:28 Adam Well, that's what I hear left and right. You don't get, listen, you don't get any virgins in heaven?
15:35 No. See, the thing is, okay.
15:37 Adam Well, you don't. You're a chick. But the guys do, right?
15:40 No. It's different. It's not the same. It's like if you die, okay, first of all, what they did that's not a martyr. That's not dying for any cause. That's killing innocent people and killing yourself.
15:51 Drew Yeah, but their perception is...
15:54 Whatever their perception is, it's not true, because if you kill yourself for any reason, you go to hell. I mean, it's suicide. No matter what.
16:01 Adam Well, this is the problem with a lot of religions, though, which is just open to interpretation. It fuels delusional thinking. Like when a born-again Christian shoots an abortion doctor.
16:10 Drew Right.
16:11 Adam You understand? This is the problem with religion in general, is people take it and run with it.
16:17 That's true. That's very true.
16:18 Adam And obviously, that's what these people have done.
16:21 Exactly.
16:21 Adam Yeah. All right. That's like...
16:24 Drew And you know, another important point, I think, Heather, is that name?
16:26 Adam Yeah.
16:27 Drew Is that Arab Muslims, actually only a third of Muslims in the world.
16:31 Adam Yeah.
16:32 Drew Most of the biggest populations...
16:33 Adam Most are from San Diego.
16:34 Drew Oh, yeah.
16:35 Adam And India. I was going to say Orange County.
16:37 Drew Orange County, too. It is Indian Muslims. It's actually the biggest population. And only a tiny percentage is this fringe stuff.
16:43 Adam Yeah, the Indians, yeah. They're a docile folk over there. They're like Gandhi. They're so busy. You know, the problem with the Indians is they're so scared their nuts are going to fall out all the time. They're always wearing a diaper or a robe or something that they never want to do anything physical.
17:00 Drew They have to sit.
17:00 Adam Yeah, you know, like once in a while you go out and get your newspaper and you're just wearing boxer shorts, you don't want to chase anyone down the street. You're always scared your nuts are going to fall out. I think that's what's going on with the Indian Muslims, Drew.
17:11 Caller So get pants and they'll be fine.
17:13 Adam If we got them some biking shorts, they'd be kicking a lot of ass. So that's why we have to keep bike shorts out of India, Drew. Write that down.
17:22 Drew Bike shorts out of India.
17:24 Adam That's going to be part of my foreign policy. Anthony?
17:28 Caller Yeah.
17:28 Adam You're 17?
17:29 Caller Yeah.
17:29 Caller What's up?
17:31 Caller Maybe about six months ago I was addicted to methamphetamines. Just lately I've had high blood pressure, so I went to the doctor. The doctor, I have an appointment for an EKG tomorrow, and I was just wondering if that methamphetamine addiction could raise my high blood pressure.
17:48 Drew How high was your pressure?
17:50 Caller It was 146.
17:51 Drew Over what?
17:53 Caller I don't know.
17:53 Drew You mean your pulse was elevated or your blood pressure was elevated?
17:56 Caller My blood pressure.
17:58 Drew So blood pressure is two numbers, 146 over?
18:01 Adam Easy. He doesn't know the other part.
18:03 Drew You're not talking about your pulse, because 146 is a pulse rate.
18:06 Adam Yeah, well, maybe this is pulse was elevated.
18:08 Drew Pulse up, stimulus can do that. Blood pressure, no.
18:12 Adam So if your pulse is up, will that raise your blood pressure, though?
18:16 Drew Sometimes, yeah, sometimes.
18:17 Adam So if you got your pulse going, then your blood pressure may go behind it.
18:21 Drew Sometimes it can drop your blood pressure, too.
18:23 Adam Yeah, but never. It always goes up. Come on, Drew.
18:27 Drew No, in fact, the problem with rapid pulses, it usually causes hypotension and shock, and that's why it becomes a medical emergency.
18:34 Adam You know I'm right.
18:35 Drew And Anthony, the deal is, though, your amphetamine addiction is a bigger issue here, and that's what needs to be treated. Are you in recovery of any time?
18:42 Caller Well, yeah, I've been off of it for six months.
18:44 Drew Yeah. Are you in recovery, though? What do you mean? If you don't practice a program of recovery, it's just a matter of time before you escalate with that or something else.
18:52 Adam Well, how do we know he was really into it? Were you really into it?
18:55 Caller Yeah, I was really into it.
18:56 Adam Well, sorry, but I didn't mean to question your commitment to the drug lifestyle. He took that as an attack. Hey, man, I was a junkie. Come on.
19:04 Drew Talk to your doctor about it.
19:04 Caller I got messed up all the time.
19:05 Drew Your doctor should be helping.
19:06 Adam Yeah, I had a real problem. I tried to ask my mom once.
19:09 Drew The doctor should be referring you to someone who knows how to help you with this problem because the clock is ticking and you're going back out again.
19:15 Caller Are there other medicines that you should take to recover or no? Is there anything to get your body back to normal?
19:20 Drew Not really. The amphetamine takes about... Amphetamine, it depends on how much you're using, whether you're smoking it or shooting it or just snorting it, it can damage the brain in a very, very similar pattern to what ecstasy does in much, much lower levels of exposure, and that's permanent. And everything else in terms of the mood disturbances and the sleep problems and thinking disorders, those get better over about six months, but the addiction keeps progressing, and so he'll go back here, he'll probably be smoking pot every day, that's probably how he's dealing with it. Ask him, ask him. Or drinking, if he's drinking, that would raise his blood pressure too.
19:48 Adam Really? All right. Where is he, line four?
19:50 Drew Anthony?
19:51 Caller Yeah?
19:51 Drew Using any alcohol or pot?
19:53 Caller Not regularly. I smoked pot like two weeks ago.
19:56 Drew Okay, but not drinking. Okay, all right.
19:58 Adam All right, good times there.
20:00 Caller Also, Dr. Drew.
20:01 Drew Yeah?
20:01 Caller Yeah. Also, I've been like, if I stand up too fast, I'll pass out.
20:05 Drew Yeah, see, that sounds like the pulse. They've got a rhythm problem. I don't know why they didn't put you in the hospital, frankly, if that's... Unfortunately, I think I'm not clear what you have, whether it was elevated blood pressure, elevated pulse, or what precisely they observed, but it sounds like it's something that it needs very, very careful observation.
20:19 Caller Okay, so...
20:20 Drew Did you do a lot of cocaine, too?
20:22 Caller No, it was just methamphetamine.
20:24 Adam Well, don't pop up too fast in the meantime. You can get one of those chairs for old people that sit you up slowly through a hydraulic system.
20:32 Caller Oh, with a little remote?
20:33 Adam They have ones that are like the dump truck chair.
20:35 Caller Yeah, yeah, my great grandma has one of those.
20:36 Adam Yeah, borrow that. I'm thinking about getting one of those for my bed.
20:41 Drew Oh, just, you have one of your people which is pushed around behind you.
20:44 Adam They don't show up. Manuel does not show up until 10 in the morning. I like to get up about 9.45. Oftentimes I have to lie there until he comes up and helps me out of bed.
20:53 Caller You see those commercials at night.
20:54 Drew It's good to make you lazier, Adam. Oh, no.
20:57 Adam You know what I love about those? I love that concept and I know it can't work, that sort of dual bed thing where it's like over here, she has the climate control on this and she likes it soft and she's sawing logs. Over here, you have it tilted up, you're watching the ball game, you're eating popcorn, you're having a party. That makes it a bachelor party on your half of the bed while the wife sleeps away at the firmness that she's dialed in. You know that could never happen, right?
21:24 Caller It's two separate beds, they just don't play.
21:26 Adam Yeah, they have to be in different parts of the state though. They can't be attached to each other. Otherwise, Drew, your wife would not let you eat popcorn or watch TV while she went to bed, right? No. All right, New Found Glory is here tonight.
21:39 Caller We are going to thank you again.
21:41 Adam Why don't we, should we hear a song?
21:43 Drew No, Anderson Says No.
21:44 Adam Anderson Says No.
21:46 Fine.
21:47 Drew Next segment.
21:48 All right.
21:48 Caller You're going to keep saying that. You're never going to play a song. You know that.
21:51 Adam That's right. He knows. Well, we'll play half a song. All right, we'll be back with New Found Glory after this.
21:59 Loveline, Loveline, we'll be right back.
22:33 Adam Hey, everybody, it's Loveline. I'm Adam Carolla. That's Dr. Drew over there. Phone number 1-800-LOVE-191. Things slowly getting back to normal around here at Loveline. New Found Glory is here. Ian Cyrus and Chad are over here with the man.
22:48 Caller Now you know it's really normal.
22:49 Adam Yeah. And they, we're taking calls tonight on anything you want to talk about. Some questions for New Found Glory, some typical Loveline questions, and some questions about, or comments about the tragedy. So we're mixing it up. We're also going to hear something from New Found Glory off the new CD, New Found Glory. I think we'll do that after we take a call. Also, some rescheduled dates with Blink-182, Sunday, September 16th. That's this Sunday, right?
23:18 Caller Yeah.
23:18 Adam Out at Anaheim.
23:20 Caller We're not playing that next day in Oklahoma.
23:22 Adam Oh, okay.
23:23 Drew I just tried to get Oklahoma City. I'm trying to get there tomorrow. Impossible.
23:27 Caller Flights? You can't.
23:28 Drew Impossible.
23:29 Caller Really?
23:29 Adam Yeah. I just talked to one of my best friends who's stuck in Oklahoma. It's funny that Oklahoma keeps coming up. I just got off the phone with a guy who can't get out of Oklahoma. Drew wants to get into Oklahoma. And New Found Glory is not going to Oklahoma, right? It's just Blink. Wednesday, September 19th at Long Beach. Thursday, September 20th in Phoenix, Arizona. And Friday, September 21st in Sandy, Aiko.
23:52 New Found Glory It's all over. Three month long tour.
23:55 Adam Right. And and no no Europe tour.
23:58 Caller Yeah, we go home now.
23:59 New Found Glory Yeah, we're supposed to. Well, it's not completely confirmed, but it looks like we're most definitely not going. But we were supposed to go to Europe for about a month and a half. Had it all planned out. And we're all excited.
24:08 Adam But because of the tragedy.
24:10 New Found Glory Yeah.
24:10 Adam And so it's back. See the family go back to Florida and chill out for a while.
24:15 Caller Yeah. And then we actually start a headlining tour in South Florida October 22nd I think.
24:21 New Found Glory That's going to come to Palladium in LA.
24:23 Adam Right.
24:24 Caller All right.
24:24 Adam We'll come back and see us when you come back. But you can stay now.
24:27 Caller Okay.
24:27 Adam Don't get me wrong.
24:29 New Found Glory All right. I thought I'd be kicked out already.
24:30 Adam Let's wait. Let's take a question for a new found glory. All right, Drew? Weston?
24:35 New Found Glory Yeah.
24:36 Caller Hey.
24:36 Adam Hey, you're 16. What's up?
24:37 Caller Hey, what's up, Adam?
24:38 Adam Hey.
24:39 Caller Dude, you're like a god.
24:41 Adam Well, thank you.
24:42 Caller Yeah. We try to look up to you.
24:44 Caller See, that's what you like to hear, right?
24:46 Caller Yeah. Go to all-guys school.
24:48 Caller The kids love you.
24:49 Caller But anyways, yeah, I had a question for New Found Glory.
24:52 Caller What's up?
24:54 Caller I just saw you guys last weekend. You guys rocked.
24:57 Caller I saw, well, Blink has that encore. And Tom runs out, and he's waving the American flag. Yeah, so turn on the radio. Yeah, so anyway, it's us. Yeah, so.
25:10 Drew Is there a radio in the police car? Where are you?
25:12 Adam A police scanner in the background.
25:13 Caller My brother's all excited. Anyway, so Tom comes out, waving the American flag.
25:17 Caller I was wondering, do they go, are they still going to do that?
25:20 Caller I mean, because it's cool.
25:21 Caller They're telling me how great America is. But now, like with this big tragedy, is anything going to happen?
25:27 New Found Glory I don't really know.
25:28 Caller We're not Blink, so I don't know.
25:31 Drew Do you want to talk about lesbians?
25:32 New Found Glory I don't think.
25:34 Adam What? I would imagine they wouldn't stop doing it.
25:39 Caller They probably would do it even more.
25:40 New Found Glory The only thing is, before it was, they would come out to the top gun theme and be all fun. But no, I don't think they would. I mean, we talked to Blink and they're upset just like everyone else, and they're kind of creeped out and just all upset about the whole tragedy. And I know that they wouldn't do anything to mock anything like the American flag or anything like that now. They are jokesters, but they do have good heads on their shoulders.
26:04 Hi, this is Mark from Blink 180.
26:06 New Found Glory You are listening to Adam Corolla and Dr. Drew on Loveline. I have a really big dick.
26:12 Adam Did he say something about the flag?
26:13 Drew No.
26:15 Adam I'm going to go get a flag tomorrow, by the way, and hang it outside the house.
26:20 Caller I heard on the news that there was one store that sold like 200 flags in like a couple hours yesterday.
26:26 Drew I don't have antennas anymore in our cars.
26:28 Adam Yeah, there's nothing to hang anything from anymore. You used to be able to put something on your antenna.
26:34 Caller Well, you can do the football thing, like the...
26:36 Adam Yeah, you can do the Lakers.
26:37 Caller The thing that clips on the window.
26:37 Drew That's what we gotta do. Yeah, we would get one of those, Adam.
26:39 New Found Glory Is that what you guys do when you go to the mall?
26:41 Adam Yeah.
26:41 New Found Glory On your car?
26:42 Adam Yeah, that's right.
26:43 New Found Glory You know, the tennis balls and the...
26:46 Adam Yeah, I'm going to pick one of those up and hang it up tomorrow. I wouldn't even mind a flag pole. I always liked those dudes who had the flag pole in front of their house. There's always the old veteran guy who had it in front. I just thought there was something cool about that. I mean, it's like part ship, part house. You know, when you got that flag pole out front? Like, somehow, if the wind blows hard enough, it might turn the house over or something. I may do a flag pole, too, Drew. You doing a flag?
27:10 Drew You got a flag? I would like to. You got to do a half-mass. You got to raise it all the way to the top and then lower it down.
27:14 Adam Oh, you don't just raise it halfway?
27:16 Drew You go all the way to the top and then bring it down. At the end of the day, you go back up and then back down.
27:20 Adam Oh, really? And then you fold it in like that triangle. You fold it that way. Right?
27:24 New Found Glory Cyrus used to do that in elementary school.
27:26 Adam He'd do the fold or do the raise?
27:28 New Found Glory Raise the flag every day.
27:29 Adam Yeah. Cyrus got most intelligent in eighth grade.
27:31 Caller I did.
27:32 Adam Wow. What happened? I was actually... Small town.
27:36 Caller No, actually. Well, Hollywood, Florida.
27:37 Adam Oh, really?
27:38 Caller Wow. It's old people there.
27:40 New Found Glory Want to note that New Found Glory were from Coral Springs, Florida, and I know where they found... We live right down the street from where they found the terrorists.
27:47 Drew That's interesting.
27:47 Caller Those guys ate at a bar in Hollywood in my hometown.
27:50 Caller Really?
27:50 New Found Glory Yeah.
27:51 Caller A week ago, and they refused to pay the check.
27:53 Caller Oh, really?
27:54 New Found Glory Yeah.
27:54 Caller There's like a thing about it.
27:55 New Found Glory I used to ride my bike where those guys were living.
27:57 Adam Well, wasn't one of the flight schools they trained at or something out in that area too?
28:03 Caller They're looking at a whole bunch of them down there.
28:05 Adam Yeah. That's why I focus on Florida when there's trouble in this country. There's always some troublemakers there. That's why we're moving to California.
28:13 Drew No troublemakers here.
28:14 Adam We're moving. Everyone in California is moving to Canada, so it all works out. That's what we ought to do. We ought to just swap it around every once in a while. Everyone from Florida moves to California. Everyone from California go to Canada.
28:23 Caller When they get too cold, then they go back down to Florida and do a little circle.
28:28 Adam We're going to hear something from New Found Glory. This is, you queued up there, Anderson. This is off the CD, New Found Glory. It's called Dress to Kill. New Found Glory, everybody. Drew, shush up over there, please. I'm trying to do a radio show. Off of New Found Glory, the name of the CD is going to be with Blink 182 in a town possibly near you for a while.
32:13 Caller I'm not sure I live in Oklahoma.
32:15 Adam And then they will be in a town near you, but they will probably get to Oklahoma during their headlining tour, which is coming up a few months later. No.
32:24 New Found Glory Sorry, no. We're not coming there. No, I'm sure. Eventually we'll hit Oklahoma.
32:28 Adam Yeah, eventually. So, you Oklahomaites can just hang on.
32:30 New Found Glory I don't even know if anyone likes us from Oklahoma.
32:33 Adam I think you'd probably find some people who weren't originally from Oklahoma.
32:37 New Found Glory Who like us.
32:38 Adam Who then transplanted there, who are New Found Glory fans. I would assume that. Michelle?
32:43 Hi.
32:44 Adam You're 19?
32:45 Yeah.
32:45 Adam What's up?
32:47 Okay. My mom works in DC. And the day after the bomb, the bombing, she didn't go to work, but she went to work today. And they had a bomb scare across the street.
33:00 Drew In the Capitol building.
33:01 Huh?
33:02 Drew In the Capitol building.
33:03 No. Constitution Hall.
33:05 Drew So they have all kinds of bomb scares today in Washington.
33:07 Adam Where does your mother work?
33:10 Where?
33:11 Drew What building?
33:12 She works for the Interior.
33:15 Drew In the Interior building.
33:16 Right.
33:17 Drew Which is sort of near the Smithsonian-like. Is that what it is?
33:22 Um, whatever.
33:24 Adam All right.
33:24 Caller Well, that's what we were saying.
33:25 Adam It's gonna take a while. You ever actually talk to your mom, Michelle?
33:29 Drew Huh?
33:29 Adam Okay. So she works for the Interior.
33:33 Drew Right.
33:33 Adam Okay.
33:34 Drew And you're afraid that she's gonna be a victim of some sort of assault?
33:38 Yes, and also she's thinking about going on a trip to California next weekend. And I just can't handle her going to work and then her going to California, too.
33:47 Drew Yeah, it's gonna be tough. I was gonna go to Oklahoma yesterday. I couldn't get a plane out, but my kids are sort of flipping out a little bit, too. And the thing about air travel right now, the time to have been scared about air travel? Last week.
33:58 Adam Right.
33:58 Drew Not so much this week.
34:00 Adam Yeah. I mean, why is she taking a vacation to California? Yeah.
34:05 Drew Well, that's kind of silly.
34:07 New Found Glory Yeah.
34:07 Adam It seems like if it's just, if it's not for business and it's not for a funeral or something, something of that nature, if it's just for fun, she should chill out for a couple of months.
34:17 New Found Glory Not a good time to take a vacation.
34:19 Adam Right.
34:19 I've been trying to tell her, and it's for her friend's birthday, and her friend really wants her to come. They're not understanding that.
34:25 Drew Can you go with her? Hang on. Can you go with her?
34:29 Adam Blow up on the plane, too? Why is she not going with her? Please. Michelle. Look, I understand you're freaked out, but these bomb threats, you know, I mean, one of the, they cleared out the capital building and they just, there was a briefcase that somebody didn't find. I mean, everybody's on hyper alert. It wasn't as if someone was actually trying to blow up the capital buildings, like some page said is at the shake case down and went to go take a dump and cleared the building out. Yeah. It wouldn't have happened four days ago. You know what I'm saying? So I know it feels, and I think this is an important thing to talk about. I think a lot of people can't process all that's coming at them. It's such rapid fire. They're hearing all of these stories, and it feels like the world is closing in on them. But you have to really, it's like, remember in Scooby-Doo? Remember at the end, and they think there was a ghost the entire episode, but at the very end, they'd pull the mast off the old farmer, and then they'd go through every part of it. They'd go, oh yeah, and that whole thing was only one of these, and this was mechanically, and that was that, and this is that. You got to stop and do that in your mind. Yeah, I mean, I understand, she's hearing about these bomb threats, but this is not, you know, what happened in the Capitol building, that was not a bomb threat today. I mean, everyone is taking this stuff and running with it. I mean, I remember living in LA, once every about 10 years, people shoot people on the freeway, and it just becomes popular, and then every five years, pit bulls kill people. We go back and forth. If you live in LA, it's either pit bulls are getting shot on the freeway. And what happens is, once they start bringing these stories up about people getting shot on the freeway, then there's some story about some kid who was waving a daisy air rifle around, and that makes headline news. You know what I mean? And so you keep listening to all this, and you start freaking out, but it's really not all that it is. And this is a tragedy, and we should all be shaken by it, but not so freaked that mama can't go to work, and you can't go to school.
36:40 Drew Yeah, I really think it's time to stand tall, too. Just go ahead and just keep one foot in front of the other.
36:46 Adam Right.
36:46 Drew It's all right.
36:47 Adam All right. We're going to take ourselves a break. Let's talk to Nadine before we do, though. Sixteen?
36:53 Yeah.
36:53 Adam What's up?
36:54 Okay. Well, I'm very, very upset about the whole thing. I mean, it's really sad what happened, and I'm very hurt by it, but I want to I want to read this letter. I have been I'm okay. First off, I'm Arabic. My parents are I'm fully Arabic, and everything that's going on is really, really bad. I mean, there's people that are scared. I mean, all this racism against Arabs right now. I mean, like, okay, I'm really nervous right now. So I wrote this this thing like a letter, and I would like to read it. Is that okay?
37:32 Drew Maybe I go to break first. Okay.
37:34 Adam How many letters are in the letter?
37:36 Drew How many words?
37:37 Adam No, I want a letter count.
37:39 I can read it really fast. I think it's really important because my friend, you know, after the accident, I mean, that whole thing happened like the next day. She was yelled at. She was thrown stuff at because she was Arabic.
37:53 Drew That's wild. You know, I took my kids to soccer practice tonight and there were so many different, I can't even tell.
37:59 Adam Hold on a second, Nadine. Yeah, because we'll hear the letter after a break. What about your kids?
38:02 Drew There's more nationalities represented on that team than states in the union. And I can't even tell what they are, but they're all Americans, you know what I'm saying? Well, they're all gay.
38:11 Adam I mean, they got that in common. They're all playing soccer. We all know there's that.
38:16 Drew Mixed ethnicities. But the point is, that's our little communities, is all kinds of ethnicities. Ridiculous to let people...
38:24 Adam But they all fall under that flag with the triangle, the pink triangle that's upside down. Yeah.
38:30 Drew Come on.
38:31 Adam I mean, that's their universal flag, that gay flag, right?
38:35 Drew Yeah, that's our team flag.
38:39 New Found Glory I think the whole racism thing going on now is just insane. It's like, people should wake up already and just... I don't know. It's just insane. It's just... I think it would be over that by like 2001.
38:50 Adam Well, it's like this. People have a lot of energy and they don't know where to direct it.
38:55 Drew Yeah, they're angry.
38:56 Adam They're angry and they're scared and they're whatever and it's all pent up and there's, you know, they should be, you know, meditating or beating the crap out of a heavy bag. But they're looking for this and people, you know, let's face it, not everyone in the United States is a genius. There's a lot of people with a low IQ and they're doing this and it's wrong but I do think it has been kept to a minimum for the most part.
39:21 Drew I think the point that how different, how out of control it would have been in any other country.
39:26 Adam I absolutely do believe that. You would not want to be a Christian walking around in an Arabic nation.
39:33 Drew If a Christian had just done something.
39:34 Adam If a Christian had just done a suicide bombing. I don't think that you'd be safe at all.
39:38 Drew No.
39:38 Adam Okay, we're gonna take, so we know we're better, right? Okay, we're gonna, just as long as we got that out of the way, we're gonna take a break and then we'll come back and we'll hear Nadine's letter after this.
39:48 1-800-LOVE-191.
40:25 Adam All right, Drew, what? Hey, everybody, it's Loveline. Ian Cyrus and Chad are all here from New Found Glory. New Found Glory is the name of the CD. We're just talking about bashing Arabic folks and Islam and all that stuff. And I was saying, although there's some of it going on, I don't think it's at an epidemic level. I haven't heard about any fatalities.
40:53 Well, actually, there was something that happened in Texas, and a lot of people in high school were getting bashed because they're Arabic, and it's happening.
41:04 Adam I would never deny that there's going to be some bashing going on, but there's a definite difference between name-calling or rock-throwing even and fatalities.
41:15 Yeah, well, people are telling her, go back to your country.
41:19 Adam That's not right, and I'm not defending it, but I'm saying the fact that it's been two days since this tragedy, and to the best of my knowledge, I've not heard any reporting of any fatalities amongst these people of this religion is a good sign to me.
41:37 Drew We have skinheads and people looking for trouble out there.
41:39 Well, I've been writing letters to NBC. I've been writing letters to Arabic newspapers, and, I mean, I'm really nervous, so I would like to read the letter on behalf of the Arabian...
41:50 Adam Go right ahead.
41:51 Okay. I'm really devastated by what happened. The news is shocking to everyone, including myself. Not only has something very bad happened here, but a big change in American people. No longer do we live in a country where we can feel safe. No longer do we live in a country where we can feel proud or walk into a big building and not feel fear. No longer can we go on a plane and not worry what's going to happen. No longer can we be the same before September 11th, horrible incident. No longer can we go on living the same we always have. No longer can we walk across the street without being proud of who we are, Americans. I was born in America, but both my parents are Arabic. I'm very proud of that and something I'm not ashamed of. But now as a tragedy in New York has happened, there's a lingering fear and hate towards the Arabian people. I fear society is too blinded to stop and see that not every Arabian is the same. We are not monsters like those people that killed so many innocent people. But now as I watch the news and the things that are happening so quickly, I realize the hate that is growing in America for Arabians. To me this is very, very wrong. It seems America has grown in hate for Arabians overnight. Our country is growing into bitterness and hate. It seems that... This won't change what happened. Americans have... What happened to hate? Okay, this hate that...
43:04 Adam It's teleprompter froze up.
43:07 Okay, well they seem to think that by hating towards the Arabians will bring back the dead. Well, it won't. It won't change what happened. This hate that Americans have for Arabians needs to stop now, in the beginning, before it grows too big and spreads like wildfire. This hate will not bring the innocent back to life. By hating each other, we are doing exactly what the terrorists wanted. We need to stick together, lean one another, and grieve together. We need to grow together and learn from this experience so it won't happen again. We need to stop the hate. We need to stop the pollution of pointing fingers. We cannot point fingers towards...
43:36 Drew Didn't she say this was a short letter?...
43:38 because it's not us Arabians' fault. There is bad Arabians, true, but there is bad whites, Jews, blacks, Russians, etc. There is bad in everything. And by hating and pointing fingers at Arabians, it will get us nowhere as a society. There are many good Arabians, like there is good in many things and peoples. American people need to realize that they cannot blame us Arabians for what a few Arabians cause. They need to realize not every Arabian is like those horrible people. If it had been any other race, we would have stopped this right here.
44:07 Adam We got the gist.
44:08 Okay.
44:08 Drew You're saying the same thing over and over and over.
44:10 Adam I know you got a lot of energy with this, but I would caution you about just picking it up and running with it. I hang around with uneducated racist guys almost exclusively. I mean, that's who I like to surround myself with. They've not said anything. I have not.
44:29 Drew People understand that American is a multicultural, multi-ethnic proposition today. We're all kinds of colors, all kinds of people, all kinds of languages. Yeah. Nobody's going to point fingers at American anything. In fact, they want to...
44:47 New Found Glory Arabs aren't going to be like shipped away and...
44:49 Drew No. It's not going to be like Japanese internment camps or something. Even the thought of it is bizarre. It's just impossible to run from it.
44:57 You know, there's a lot of hate towards Arabians all of a sudden.
45:01 Caller And trust me, there's a lot.
45:03 They've even been reporting incidents around...
45:07 Adam Have you heard of any fatalities from this?
45:10 Caller Yes, I have.
45:11 I heard about the cab driver in New York that got assaulted. I'm not sure what exactly happened.
45:15 Adam He was not killed, though.
45:17 No, he wasn't killed, but he was assaulted.
45:19 Adam I'm asking, have you heard of any fatalities? No. Okay, I'm saying that's pretty good, isn't it?
45:24 Yeah, it's kind of like... It's not very good, but you know, it's still, people need to stop this now before it goes too big.
45:31 Drew But Nadine, every time I turn on the TV, somebody is reminding us of that.
45:35 You know what?
45:35 Drew Every single time.
45:36 The media, it seems the media is showing the bad of a race.
45:39 Drew No, no, Nadine, every time I look at a television, they're saying, don't remember, we're Americans, they're different colors, Arab Americans, they're Americans. Nadine, you are doing this, you're doing this.
45:51 I've been watching a lot of it, and every time I watch it, it seems like they show the bad of the Arabians.
45:58 Drew No, you believe that's what they're, we are seeing some very small, fringe, awful group of people from another world doing something. They're not Americans, we know the difference.
46:10 New Found Glory I remember when, I mean, there's stupid people everywhere. I remember when the whole Ronnie King thing went on, you know what I mean? And my brother went to a school that was, you know, 20% whites, 80% blacks, and all the kids in his high school ran and got beat up. I mean, like, like, like, there was a whole racist thing going on, like, oh, you know, the whole white cop and, you know, white, white kid, black kid thing back then. And I feel that, like, compared to that, they're just stupid kids everywhere. And kids are young and people, stupid people everywhere. And you have to understand that the news, no, like, I don't know, I just think she's overreacting a little bit.
46:46 Adam She's got some energy, yeah. And like I said, I would never deny that there's not some of this going on. And there almost has to be. It's like a mathematical equation. Forget about nationalities and forget about religions. If there's greens, blues, yellows, and purples living together, and a couple blues do something evil to the yellows and the reds and the purples, there's going to be a certain amount of anti-blue sentiment that's going around.
47:14 Drew Amongst the stupid yellow, purples, and reds.
47:17 Adam The yellows aren't the Japanese.
47:18 Drew No, no, no.
47:19 Adam I was thinking that. I didn't say that.
47:20 Drew It wouldn't be stupid.
47:20 Adam Okay, good.
47:21 Drew All right.
47:22 Adam But here's my point. There's going to be that.
47:25 Drew Yeah.
47:26 Adam But there has been... The question is, is how much of that is there going to be? And I think it's been held to a minimum. Now, I'm a white guy who's not getting picked on, so maybe I don't know, but I've not heard of any fatalities. And I think that's the bottom line.
47:41 Caller Well, I'm not scared at all. I'm actually Arabic. My dad's from Iran.
47:45 Adam Yeah, I was born in America.
47:47 Caller I'm not worried about it at all. I don't walk around.
47:50 New Found Glory He actually doesn't know yet, but we're getting a new drummer. Yeah, a few.
47:54 Adam We'll take a break. We'll be back.
47:56 New Found Glory I had fun.
47:57 Caller So I know there's nothing wrong with me.
47:59 Caller So what's up?
47:59 Caller So I was like you and I used to think that these datelines were totally cheesy. Why can't I meet anybody?
48:03 Caller But I tried everything else and thought, what the hell?
48:05 Caller So I called the dateline and actually met a cool guy.
48:07 Caller I called the dateline and I hooked up with some cool people.
48:09 Believe it or not, other normal people are out there looking too.
48:11 Caller 877-889-DATE.
48:15 1-800-LOVE-191.
48:56 Adam Hey, it's Loveline, everybody. Jordan and Steve have joined us from New Found Glory.
49:02 Caller Right up.
49:03 Caller Hello.
49:04 Adam Ian is still here, playing the, doing the anchoring at the end of the desk there.
49:12 What's up, bro?
49:13 Caller Say hi, Ian.
49:16 Adam We're going to hear something again off the New Found Glory CD, which is entitled New Found Glory, sometime in this next hour, probably sooner than later. Also, we're going to take your calls, and we'll take them about anything you want, New Found Glory, or STDs, or the tragedy that went on on Tuesday, whatever you want. Larry? Yeah, hello. You're 18, what's up?
49:42 Caller Yeah, Venmo Girls started having sex a while ago.
49:47 Adam Yeah. You're on the toilet?
49:49 New Found Glory Doing it right now, dude?
49:51 Caller No, I was in my bed. Yeah, and like, yeah, she was a virgin and like still hurts like after like we do it like five times and the five times it's hurting every time I put it in.
50:06 Drew How old is she?
50:08 Caller She's 17.
50:08 Adam You in the right hole?
50:10 Drew It hurt.
50:11 Adam That happened to me the first five times.
50:13 Drew Tight is good.
50:13 Adam Yeah, the dude was like, I mean, the chick, I'll forget it.
50:17 Drew It hurts at the moment you penetrate and then keeps hurting or does it get better after a while?
50:21 Caller Well, there's a problem that, yeah, it starts hurting after a while but then it goes away. But then she doesn't feel anything. She has like no sexual pleasure. So, I mean, what's wrong there, you know?
50:31 Use some lube.
50:34 Caller I did.
50:35 Adam Yeah, what happened? Didn't work?
50:37 Caller No.
50:37 Drew No, you mean she doesn't orgasm?
50:40 Caller No, she doesn't just feel anything. She doesn't feel any type of pleasure. You know, I'm not bad or anything. I'm not small.
50:46 Drew Listen, most 17-year-old women don't have orgasms or intercourse.
50:50 Adam But they're not numb.
50:50 Drew But they're not numb. Do you really mean numb?
50:53 Caller Well, I asked her if she feels anything. She's like, well, you know, I don't really feel much. Like, I really wouldn't be able to orgasm out of it.
51:01 Drew That's right. That's normal. But to feel nothing...
51:04 Adam Well, do you think she was traumatized in any way?
51:07 Caller Yeah. She was abused when she was a child, but like not any penetration or anything like that.
51:13 Drew That can still do it. Sexual abuse of all types can cause a sort of a disconnect and pain, pelvic pain and things. And she may have some vaginismus, some spasm of the pelvic floor muscle.
51:23 Adam I agree with Drew. You got to get her to blow you. I know where Drew is heading with this one.
51:29 Drew Richard.
51:30 Adam Yeah.
51:31 Drew But possibly this will sort of improve with time if she feels more comfortable with you. But then if it isn't, she may have some needs for some more treatment.
51:39 Adam Hey, can you go down on her? Yeah. Does she enjoy that?
51:44 Drew No.
51:45 Adam Okay, then don't do it because that's my policy. It's like, honey, unless this is heaven, I'm out of here. The nubby. Let's not waste our time.
51:52 Caller One thing that is effective is like a rubbing thing.
51:56 Adam Yeah. Use your hand.
51:58 Caller Yeah. That gets here but-
52:00 Adam The nubby? Yeah. Use the ring finger there. All right, Larry.
52:06 Caller Another thing. Did you guys hear about some weird object like heading towards a plane before it landed on the building?
52:15 Drew No.
52:16 Adam Landed on the building. By the way, hold on. They keep using the term land. Land? The plane landed on. I hear the news during the plane that landed in the Pentagon, the plane that landed. Look, if that's landing, I ain't going to be flying for a while. Go ahead and call it what it was. I don't like those euphemisms because next time I'm up there and they're talking about landing, I may think we're going into a federal building. It landed. It's almost surreal. It's like, the one that landed on the Pentagon as opposed to the one that landed in Pittsburgh, is that landed? No. Crashed. That's right. So he had a what? What he want to know? He was too insane. I want to know what his thing was. Larry?
52:56 Caller Yeah.
52:56 Adam So the one that landed on the building. Yeah.
52:59 Caller Like right before it hit the building.
53:01 Caller He said something hit it.
53:03 Caller Something was like going towards the plane but missed it. It's a rumor I heard like around.
53:08 Adam Oh, yeah. Now it's both. Listen, we're going to hear a lot of those. You hear a lot of those stories about, you know, maybe the one in Pittsburgh was shot down, you know, this, that and the other. Look, American jet aircraft on that sort of short notice are not going to shoot down any wide body commercial jet liners. I just couldn't see it happening. I mean, that's why it's a real diabolical plan.
53:32 Drew They took a swipe around the mall. They did a loop around downtown Washington, DC., there at the mall.
53:36 Adam Right, right. I mean, what, who's going to pull the trigger on one of those side winders at a commercial airliner? Especially when you're caught off guard. You don't know what's going on. You just think they're off course at that point. Ken?
53:51 Yeah, hi.
53:51 Adam You're 18, what's up?
53:53 Caller Yeah, well, I actually, see, I'm just like most other people and everybody's pretty gung-ho all go to war on these people. They've done such a tragedy to everybody and stuff. But what I don't think people don't realize is if we did go to war on say Afghanistan or some other Arab nation or such forth, I don't think people realize exactly what kind of a war that they're dealing with and what type of cost it could cost America in the future just to go to war on these people because people seem to think it's going to be like a desert storm, which was ideal for our army, where we go in, we blow the crowd out of everybody, missile attacks and everything because there's nowhere for them to hide.
54:33 Adam Right, you mean because of the terrain?
54:35 Caller Right. A country like Afghanistan's mountainous, it has a lot of trees and stuff, it's going to be a lot harder.
54:40 Adam I was just looking at a vacation brochure over there. Apparently it's a golfer's paradise. I just canceled my plans.
54:47 Drew Skiing in summer.
54:48 Caller They were actually showing videos in the news today of the training that the Arabs were doing, like all the militia groups showing them shooting guns and throwing bombs and just like doing, just like practicing for war. You know what I'm saying? It's not like we're going to go in there and it's going to be a piece of cake. These people are crazy. They don't care if they die.
55:06 Adam They're a scrappy bunch. There's no doubt about that. They beat the Russians in ten years.
55:12 Drew Do people who are 18, 19, 20 watch different television than I watch? Every time I turn on CNN, this is what they're talking about. That this is a sustain. This will take years. We're very expensive. One guy said it very eloquently. He says, you have to...
55:25 Adam Well, that's what Ken's talking about, right?
55:27 Drew The point is that what they bring it up like, we need to be aware of this. I can't turn a television on without somebody really raising this very strongly. I heard a CNN commentator raising it rather eloquently tonight where he said, we need to change our model. It's not about surgical extraction anymore. It's like the disease. We have to see it sort of infiltrated our body and we have to go after the disease little by little and treat it and heal it. It's going to take a long time.
55:54 Adam Within our own borders is what you're saying.
55:56 Drew It's all here. It's in 55 countries, they figure. Fifty-five countries this guy has celled.
56:01 Adam The terrorism or the terrorists. You know the thing that's interesting too, and I don't know, it just popped into my head, but you know you got to kick ass military when you're complaining about, well, we may have to actually go on to the ground to kick ass, and estimates are as high as ten Americans dying, and we may even lose a plane in a PT boat. I mean, it's like we are so used to just kicking and annihilating total ass as Americans that they thought of sort of getting our hands dirty. It's like we're going to enter war and people are going, well, I don't think you're going to just push your button. You may have to go down on the ground and get shot at. You may lose a handful of people. And we're like, ooh, I didn't think about that. I mean, if you just think about it, if you just sort of get a little distance from this whole thing, it's pretty good to be in that country. I mean, you're talking about, I don't know what the final stance on Desert Storm was, but we killed more of our own people. That's, by the way, how you know you're a kick-ass country. When you actually kill more of the enemy and you kill more of your own than they get.
57:10 Caller But I think the terrorists know that the repercussions of what was going to happen. Obviously, if they...
57:15 Drew Yeah, I think they planned it.
57:16 Caller Yeah, it's like obviously they know that we're going to retaliate, you know what I'm saying? But do you think they have some sort of bigger plan for us?
57:21 Drew Oh, that's what we were talking about last night.
57:23 Adam But here's the thing about their bigger plan for us. I think they would love to see the entire continental United States and Hawaii, is Alaska part of the continental United States? We'll look into that. They'd like to see it all go up in a ball of flames. I mean, there's no doubt about it. There's no doubt that these people would love to take out as many millions in as many cities and cause as much devastation as humanly possible. The good news is, is when we're sort of, when the giant is awakened and looking around and pissed off, they cannot do it. Because we have such superior numbers and firepower and intelligence and so on and so forth, they can only do it when we fall asleep, like we had over the last few years. So, there's no doubt they'd love to do something. The question is, is are we going to let them do it again? And I'm hoping the answer is no. And we are in the position where we can avoid that. Just because of the money and the resources that this country has and the military that this country has. Kevin?
58:27 Caller Yes, sir.
58:28 Adam You're 34. What's up?
58:30 Caller How you doing? First of all, I want to give you guys props for what you're doing. I think Drew is very confident. I've checked out some of the advice that he's given, you know, some of your callers.
58:41 Adam You followed it up, huh?
58:42 Caller Yeah.
58:43 Adam Good.
58:43 Caller Good job, Drew. And you, Adam, you are just a funny dude, man. I really dig your style.
58:52 Drew Do you remember the last time we had this? It was at the end of a show and somebody started out like this and then just started laying into us?
58:58 Adam Yeah, it would always go south eventually.
59:01 Caller No, no, I'm totally on your side.
59:02 Adam All right. Well, thanks, Kevin. What's your question or comment?
59:05 Caller Well, there's a couple of things. First off, I wanted to find out if you guys have heard anything about Bin Laden being trained by the CIA some 15 years ago.
59:18 Caller I didn't hear about that, but what I heard is that when they were at the Cold War with Russia, America had had part in bringing those militias together and bringing all those people together and training them to fight the Russians on the border.
59:29 Adam Yeah, I mean, when Afghanistan was fighting the Soviet Union, we were definitely siding with Afghanistan.
59:34 Caller We were giving them money, too.
59:35 Adam I wouldn't be surprised if we helped them out, same way we helped out Vietnam and many other places that were fighting.
59:42 Caller We tend to sell those countries weaponry and all kinds of different things.
59:47 Adam Well, the deal was, and I know, again, we like to beat ourselves up all the time, but the deal was many years ago, not too many years ago, there were two powers on this planet. One was a democracy and the other was this regime. And it was a fight to see what the planet was going to become. And so anybody who fought this, the Soviet Union, we immediately backed because we did not want the Soviet Union to take over the planet, essentially. And a lot of these people we backed weren't great people, but it's still better than having the whole world go communist.
1:00:23 Caller Right. Well, so I'm thinking that there's probably some sort of a personal issue here between Bin Laden and the other terrorist groups, and Bush and the CIA. I mean, being that George Senior was running the CIA and Cheney, he's had hands in the CIA, and I can't help feeling like this was kind of personal, too.
1:00:45 Adam Well, but the big thing is, with all these radical fundamentalist groups is, they do not like our lifestyle. They do not like our freedom. They don't like the fact that we let women dress the way they dress, and that pornography is available. Thank God pornography is available.
1:01:06 Caller They don't like deciding with their enemies, either.
1:01:09 Adam No, they don't like a whole bunch of stuff, and instead of just letting us do our thing, they're going to come over here and see if they can put an end to it.
1:01:17 Caller Yeah.
1:01:18 Adam All right. So any other comments there, Kevin?
1:01:20 Caller Yeah. I wanted to ask you something for a couple of years now. Back at the, I think it was the beginning of, yeah, the beginning of last year of 2000, I was dating a girl, and she had this vaginal flatulence that was kind of peculiar to me.
1:01:37 Drew I think flatulence really implies methane, like stinky gas.
1:01:41 Adam Yeah.
1:01:42 Caller Okay. Well, yeah, we're coming out of the other.
1:01:44 Adam It can't be the expulsion of air, of just air.
1:01:47 Drew That's just, right? Yeah, that's just air being expelled.
1:01:50 Adam Like if you put a compressed air up your ass and then spit it back out, it wouldn't count. It wouldn't count.
1:01:55 Drew No, it wouldn't count.
1:01:55 Adam Technically, no?
1:01:56 Caller We all have methane poison from Ian's butt. You're like a third eye. Call that a fart.
1:02:01 Adam How long would you have to hold on to the air that you put up your ass for it to officially be a fart? No, I just mean to be counted. Yeah. 15, 18 minutes.
1:02:11 Drew There should be some sort of officiating in this.
1:02:13 Adam Yeah.
1:02:13 Drew Somebody that actually says, you did it. You made it.
1:02:15 Adam Brown flag went up. That means that he jumped the gun.
1:02:18 Caller Well, I tell you, you could officiate the length and the amount of basically pussy farting that was going on with this girl.
1:02:27 Drew That's nice.
1:02:28 Adam But that's because your penis, and it really is, it's piston shaped. It has like a rod and a piston pad on it. Yeah. And it's bigger at the top than it is in the middle. And you're just pumping air into her, and eventually it's going to come out.
1:02:46 Caller Well, I thought that, yeah, perhaps it's the position because that's happened over the years. A few times, you get in a certain position.
1:02:54 Drew Some women, it depends sort of how the landscape is laid out on the inside there. They're more amenable to air coming in and going out.
1:03:00 Adam I like, Kevin is what you call rangy. He's up there talking about our links to Bin Laden and Bush and his regime and the CIA backing this regime that was fighting the terrorists, that was fighting the Soviets. And then next question, he's into the pussyfarts. I mean, he's got a lot of range, this cat. That's what I love about our call.
1:03:23 Drew I love the transition nicely, though.
1:03:25 Adam It was very smooth. Yeah, he just dovetailed right into the queef question. Hey, he should really be some sort of analyst on CNN. Layla?
1:03:36 Hello?
1:03:37 Adam You're 20? Yes. What's up?
1:03:40 Caller How are you guys doing?
1:03:41 Adam We're doing all right. How are you doing?
1:03:43 Caller I'm fine. I heard that caller Nadine Collin before, she sounded kind of young and she was sort of freaked out about how Arabs are being treated.
1:03:53 Adam Right.
1:03:54 Caller Well, because I'm Arab myself. And I work at a Persian restaurant and so far, like all of our customers have been really supportive. Most of them are like white Americans. Yeah. I mean, I don't really like see any like mistreatment in the area that I live in, but I could feel for her as well. But I seem to be a bit more pragmatic about the issue.
1:04:15 Adam Well, I think you're just being generally more realistic about it, which is if it's there, you'll call it. But if it's not there, you won't manufacture it.
1:04:25 Caller Yeah. Like you said about like the if there's fatalities, and there's reason to worry, but since there isn't, I mean, like my mom's friend said that during World War II, after it ended, the Germans here were being treated really badly.
1:04:38 Drew Yeah. Listen, the Japanese and German were treated awfully.
1:04:41 Caller Exactly.
1:04:42 Adam Well, and listen, anybody who doesn't think that's going to happen, that's human nature, man. You know what I'm saying?
1:04:52 Caller Yeah.
1:04:52 Adam I mean, a certain amount, it's not humans at their best.
1:04:55 Drew It's human nature, but thank God it's no longer America. Because America is many different looking kinds of people, many phenotypes.
1:05:04 Adam And I was saying to Drew, I don't know what anyone's nationality is by looking at them. I mean, do you know the difference between El Salvadorian and Nicaraguan or Mexican?
1:05:16 Drew No, I don't.
1:05:17 Adam Can you tell the difference?
1:05:18 Drew And a lot of the kids are multi-ethnic, the kids themselves.
1:05:21 Caller Yeah, there are a lot of mixed people and there's a lot of, you know...
1:05:25 Drew My kids refer to brown and light kids. That's all they talk about. They go, this kid's kind of... Well, there's scrubs and he's kind of brown.
1:05:32 Adam But Drew, your kids are easy to figure. They're a cracker. They're like albino cracker honkotitis.
1:05:38 Caller Ian's brown.
1:05:40 Adam Yeah. We're all the same religion, though.
1:05:41 Caller Cyrus likes lemon rice. Ian's more Samoan, though.
1:05:43 Drew Honkotitis.
1:05:44 Adam Yeah, I mean, your kids are serious honkies, serious. All right, so Layla, listen, I'm glad that folks aren't, you know, coming after you.
1:05:55 Caller Yeah, well, I mean, like, if they were, it's sort of understandable. It would hurt, you know, because I am an American citizen.
1:06:02 Adam Right.
1:06:03 Caller And it would hurt, but it's sort of understandable. I mean, every group has their turn, you know.
1:06:09 Adam Yeah, I mean, but also, too, I, you know, I mean, physically, you can be hurt, but emotionally, you know, how hurt can you be by idiots?
1:06:17 Caller Yeah.
1:06:18 Adam You know what I mean? Like people have, you know, very low IQ and are sort of uneducated.
1:06:22 Caller Yeah.
1:06:23 Caller These people that are like harassing people in Middle Eastern descent are stupid. They're saying, oh, let's bomb Afghanistan. We hate those Arabs. Well, like Afghanis, they're not Arab.
1:06:32 Drew Right.
1:06:32 Adam Right.
1:06:33 Drew You know, like people don't know what they're talking. They're just angry and they're scared.
1:06:36 Caller The ones that are angry are really ignorant.
1:06:38 Adam Right.
1:06:39 Caller They have no knowledge of like Middle Eastern.
1:06:42 Adam I'm just saying overall, we had a tragedy and I think the countries come together pretty nicely.
1:06:49 Caller Yeah. I'm like really happy with how the media has handled it.
1:06:53 Adam Yeah. I'm happy.
1:06:53 Caller By saying like, well, the people in Middle Eastern descent here, they are American citizens, so treat them like Americans. Don't treat them like they're like part of the terrorist group.
1:07:05 Adam I've heard that a million times. People have been volunteering and donating and rising to the occasion. And I, you know, that's the only good thing that's come out of this, is to see the spirit of the American people. And I just don't want to see it tarnish. Now, I don't want to turn a blind eye to what's going on, but I don't want to see it tarnish from people who are overstating something that is not actually happening.
1:07:30 Drew The massive strength that we have of being able to incorporate multiple cultures and multiple ethnicities is exactly what these guys are exploiting. It's what they're exploiting.
1:07:39 Adam Look around.
1:07:40 Drew It's how they get around in our culture.
1:07:41 Adam Right. Just look at what we got here. We got one everything over here.
1:07:46 Drew At the table right now?
1:07:47 Adam No, I just mean in the studio. We're short like, well, I think we need like half a Jew and a Chinaman, but I think we'd be covered. We're covered on the Jew part.
1:07:57 Drew I'm a Jubin.
1:07:58 Adam Oh, you got half a Jew.
1:07:59 Drew I'm Jewish.
1:08:00 Adam Drew's half Jewish, so you guys would make a Jew.
1:08:02 Caller I'm 100%.
1:08:03 Adam We got a Jew. Oh, you guys are Jew?
1:08:05 Caller Three Jews. I'm 190 pounds of pimp as well.
1:08:08 Adam 100? We got the pimp cover.
1:08:10 Caller I'm a Jew pimp.
1:08:11 Adam We'll take ourselves a little break when we come back. New Found Gloria will still be here. We'll talk to JD, who's wiping his butt from front to back.
1:08:23 Drew Or back to front.
1:08:24 Adam Or back to front. Oh, he wants to know which. All right, I'm going to go squat on that one and figure it out, because I can't remember. We'll be back.
1:08:35 Um, back in a minute.
1:09:03 Adam Hey, everybody, it's Love Line. I'm Adam. That's Dr. Drew over there. Ian and Steve are here from New Found Glory. Jordan is...
1:09:12 Caller There's Jordan.
1:09:13 Adam There he is.
1:09:13 Caller He was doing number two.
1:09:14 Adam Shake the dew off his lily.
1:09:17 Did you wipe from front to back or back to front?
1:09:19 Caller I usually wipe front to back.
1:09:22 Caller He usually sits down when he pees.
1:09:23 Adam I think everyone goes front to back, right? On the wipe.
1:09:27 Drew Guys.
1:09:28 Adam Well, girls can't go back to front either. They'll get all kinds of stuff in the food.
1:09:31 Drew They're supposed to. That's right. They're supposed to go front to back.
1:09:34 Adam Right. And you'd think it'd be easier for them to go front to back. They don't have to negotiate the balls. By the way, though, that ball, that's like a parking block for me. That's how my hand knows where to stop. My hands like wave around. I hit the ball. They're like, oh, too far. Slide back. There we go. All right. Let's talk to JD. JD?
1:09:54 Caller Yeah, I'm here.
1:09:55 Adam You're 18?
1:09:56 Caller Yeah.
1:09:56 Adam So you want to know what direction?
1:09:58 Caller Well, you know what? I was thinking I never thought about it before. You know, I just do it. I never really.
1:10:03 Caller Sure.
1:10:04 Caller And I go front to back, and I'm wondering if that's normal or because I haven't asked other people yet, you know?
1:10:10 Drew All right. Front to back.
1:10:11 Adam Front to back. You're fine.
1:10:12 Caller Front to back.
1:10:13 Caller That's normal.
1:10:13 Drew Women need to go front to back.
1:10:15 Caller Yeah. Well, hey, I go front to back too, though.
1:10:17 Adam Yeah. What do you use? Use your good hand?
1:10:21 Caller No, actually, I use my bad hand.
1:10:23 Adam You do? Use your left hand?
1:10:25 Caller Because I'm used to like reading. I'll pick up a newspaper or magazine.
1:10:28 Adam Right. Beaten off. Right. Right. You want that good hand free and bacteria free.
1:10:34 Drew Blumkin.
1:10:37 Adam I go bad hand too. You guys, you go bad hand or good hand?
1:10:40 Drew I mean bad hand.
1:10:41 Adam What hand do you wipe with? Is it a good one?
1:10:44 Drew Dominant hand.
1:10:45 Adam Dominant hand?
1:10:46 Caller Ian's a switchy.
1:10:47 Adam Yeah. He's a southpaw. I'm a switch hitter.
1:10:49 New Found Glory Ian's had a Blumkin before, I think.
1:10:51 Adam What's a Blumkin? Blumkin is when you're going number two while receiving oral. Oh, really? The Blumkin.
1:10:59 New Found Glory Blumkin. Blumkin.
1:11:00 Adam You know you've arrived. It's like a donkey punch. That's love. All right. Let's talk to Alan, who's 16. Alan?
1:11:09 Caller Yeah. My thing is, I think we should improve security at the checkpoints at the airport.
1:11:15 Adam Hold on. Let me write this down. Oh, it's a genius. I'm going to pass this note along to the authorities. Slow down. You're saying first word you said was airport?
1:11:25 Caller I think we should improve security.
1:11:26 Adam Improve, he says.
1:11:28 Drew You've gone down to LAX today and seen what's going on?
1:11:30 Caller Well, you see, what happened is I know a person, he seen basically a butterfly knife like the one that comes out in Face Off.
1:11:38 Adam Right.
1:11:38 Caller It's eight inches long when you open it up. The blade is four inches.
1:11:42 Adam Right.
1:11:42 Caller All you gotta do is put it behind this belt. When the alarm sounds, all he said was, oh, it's my belt, and then I'm passed right through.
1:11:49 Adam Right.
1:11:51 Caller They always make us take our belts off.
1:11:53 Adam Yeah.
1:11:53 Caller Yeah, because we have punk belts.
1:11:54 Adam This is a, this is a, this is a great...
1:11:56 Drew Famous stars and straps.
1:11:57 Adam Great guy you're swinging with there, Alan. Yeah. Yeah. Quite a role model.
1:12:04 Caller Was he just testing? What if they would have found him with that knife? They'd probably think he was hijacking the plane.
1:12:08 Adam Yeah. I mean, what was his plan?
1:12:10 Caller Let me just try this out.
1:12:11 Caller That knife is against the law here in California. He brought it from Miami, Florida.
1:12:15 Adam Ah, I see. All right. All right.
1:12:17 Caller They were from Miami, man. What's going on?
1:12:19 Adam It's good times. Good times. Yeah. I think they've gotten the word about pumping up the security at the airport. But thanks for the heads up there, Alan. We'll pass that along. Drew, would it be great to seriously alert somebody, maybe a congressman or something? Hey, I do a talk radio show and 16-year-old Alan from Anaheim called in, suggested we beef up the security at the airport. You want to see if you can pass it through the Senate or is it something? Thanks. Yeah. Karen? Karen?
1:12:53 Caller Hello? Yeah, this is Karen.
1:12:55 Adam Yeah. What's up? Hey.
1:12:57 Caller I have a question for you guys, maybe more directed to Dr. Drew. During sex, my left calf muscle, feels like I get a runner's cramp, like a muscle spasm that's extremely painful.
1:13:12 Adam Right.
1:13:12 Caller And I tend to tense up my leg muscles to orgasm. And I'm wondering, and the thing is that my boyfriend and I tried to work on my not doing that, but if I don't, well, I mean, I don't suffer, but if I don't tense them up, then I don't feel anything. It's just a kind of a sensationless.
1:13:32 Adam What position are you in when you do this?
1:13:34 Caller Doesn't matter. A missionary or women on top is usually what we do.
1:13:38 Adam Women on top.
1:13:39 Drew Women. Women.
1:13:40 Caller Women. No, women.
1:13:41 Adam Yeah, she said women.
1:13:43 Caller Right.
1:13:44 Adam Oh, okay. And how do you sort of, though, if you're on top, can you get that calf, you know, push? You know what I'm saying?
1:13:53 Caller You know, what I do is I guess I end up tightening all of my lower leg muscles.
1:13:58 Adam Right. So you're essentially giving birth to an orgasm. I mean, you're pushing it out.
1:14:05 Caller Maybe you should stretch before you, you know.
1:14:07 Caller Stretch it out. You know, honestly, I've actually done that. You have stretched. I've actually done that. We've actually had sex after being in a hot tub for a while.
1:14:16 Adam Right.
1:14:17 Caller In which case, you're limber. Right.
1:14:20 Drew Does that work?
1:14:21 Caller No. I mean, it's the same. It's just usually the same. It's just extremely painful.
1:14:26 Drew You get it every single time?
1:14:28 Caller Yeah. It's just all, it's really pressing.
1:14:30 Adam Yeah, it's brutal. No, I've had that. You guys have had that where you point, if you're on the bottom and your legs are like locked down, you're pointing your toes in front of you.
1:14:38 Caller Yeah, exactly.
1:14:39 Adam Yeah.
1:14:40 Caller Try Flexol.
1:14:41 Drew Do you take any medication?
1:14:42 Caller Icy hot?
1:14:43 Caller No.
1:14:43 Drew No.
1:14:44 Caller No. Is there any way to, like, is there anything I should do?
1:14:47 Drew Do you exercise?
1:14:49 Caller I work out, you know, not like seriously work out three or four weeks. I'm working out, running a little bit.
1:14:57 Drew What was that now?
1:14:58 Adam Charlie Brown's teacher, Justin, for a second. She exercises some, but she's not a fanatic about it.
1:15:05 Caller Exactly.
1:15:06 Adam Yeah. It's interesting. You know, that's the way she orgasms by essentially pushing. And I don't know how many women do that. I, as a guy, I do that. That's my move, that push move. Yeah. I honed it in high school on many a lonely night alone, and now I actually use it around women. It's fantastic.
1:15:25 Drew So you're able to keep pushing them out.
1:15:26 Adam Yeah. She pushes, and if she doesn't push, she doesn't have the orgasm, but she cramps up on the push.
1:15:32 Caller Does it hurt when you, like, do it yourself?
1:15:34 Adam Let me get her, well, that's a good question. Where was she, on line five or two? Karen? What about when you're on your own? Does it hurt?
1:15:43 Caller Yeah. Not always, though. It's a lot easier for me to orgasm masturbating than I do.
1:15:50 Drew Well, why don't you incorporate whatever that technique is, and sort of bring that into the couple.
1:15:55 Adam Well, she's not having intercourse then. But hey, Karen, you can feel it start to cramp, right?
1:16:01 Caller I can, and what we do is I stop, because I know I can feel the, and the thing is that it takes me a while to, I have to literally walk off the spasm, and it turns me off, essentially.
1:16:12 Adam Right.
1:16:12 Caller It's too much effort.
1:16:13 Adam It's bad. It's like after a batter gets hit by a pitch, he's got to take that little, or almost like knock down by pitch, he's got to step back, walk it around a little, rub a little dirt on it. Just become a lesbian.
1:16:25 Caller Oh, no. I have one.
1:16:26 Adam I don't know. I'm kind of with the guys on stretching out, though.
1:16:30 Drew That's about all you can do.
1:16:31 Adam Well, you know, what will stretch you? You know that one that stretches your killies out? Well, that's stretch your calf out. You know, we get like a little riser, a little six inch riser and put your. Hey, Karen.
1:16:42 Caller Yeah. Can I ask you one little thing? What happened to Diane that was on your TV show?
1:16:47 Drew What happened to our TV show?
1:16:48 Adam Yeah, I don't know. She's like writing a book. She's acting.
1:16:53 Drew She's in movies.
1:16:54 Adam She's in movies.
1:16:55 Caller Okay. I thought she was a lot of fun. I think you guys are great. You do a great job. I sort of missed her. I wondered where she was on the radio show.
1:17:02 Drew She was never on the radio show.
1:17:04 Caller Yeah, I know that. I wondered what happened.
1:17:07 Drew And she is doing the TV show, that show. What the heck was it?
1:17:10 Adam She's on the job, the Dennis Leary TV show, which is pretty successful in coming back. So she's doing fine. Meanwhile, Drew and I, our careers have gone into the toilet.
1:17:24 Drew We're sliding fast.
1:17:25 Adam Drew has zero career over here. I mean, like nothing.
1:17:28 Drew Anyone interested though?
1:17:30 Adam Yeah, Eric?
1:17:31 Hi.
1:17:32 Adam Hi, you're 14. What's up?
1:17:35 Caller Oh, I just want to say that I'm a big fan of the show. I listen to you guys all the time before I go to bed.
1:17:39 Adam Oh, thanks.
1:17:40 Caller No problem. Actually, my question is for New Found Glory.
1:17:44 Adam Here they are.
1:17:45 Caller Hello.
1:17:47 Caller I'm like you guys' biggest fan.
1:17:49 Caller Thanks.
1:17:50 Caller And you guys get that a lot, but you guys rock.
1:17:52 Adam Never gets old, though, does it?
1:17:53 Caller Thank you, man.
1:17:54 Caller We really appreciate it.
1:17:55 Caller Yeah. Actually, I was wondering, actually, and not a question, more of a favor. I have a band, and I have like been in it since I was 12. And you're 14 now?
1:18:08 Adam But he's only 14.
1:18:09 Caller Yeah, I'm 14, and we're really young, you know.
1:18:12 Adam Maybe if you haven't broken by 13, it's time to get out and get a day gig. I mean, that's kind of the rule, right? Right.
1:18:20 Caller Yeah, but anyway, we're really good. And, you know, we play a lot. We try to play a lot of shows, and we win like we've won like three battle of the band out of like 25 bands. But no one seems to want to play with us or pick us up or anything like that. We have to pretty much fund everything for ourselves.
1:18:38 Adam You don't have a record deal?
1:18:40 Caller No, that's what we did.
1:18:41 Caller That's exactly what we did when we first started. We all started when we were in high school, like really young. And when we just started playing the same place like every week, and it got so old and boring that we wanted to move out and start playing in different places. But in order to do that, what we did is we booked our own shows. Might as well not wait for other people to give you shows. Do it yourself. Book a show and make demo tapes and make free shirts at Kinko's and just do whatever you need to do to get your band out, just stuff it in people's faces. You can't wait around and just wait for something to happen. You need to do it yourself.
1:19:10 Adam And we're kind of having a little fun with you, Eric. But if your band is pretty tight and you're winning competitions and you have a little following and you're 14 years old, you're going to be fine.
1:19:22 Caller Yeah, you're set.
1:19:23 Adam You know, maybe by the time, you know, outside 10th grade.
1:19:27 Caller Draft Theus on you.
1:19:28 Adam And you're 14. And you're taking a tour. Yeah, maybe like Silver Chair.
1:19:33 Caller Because we are really young, I mean, you know, probably younger when New Found started out. But like, you know, I mean, we have to, you know, ask our parents to give us rides and gigs.
1:19:44 Caller Our parents paid for our first recording.
1:19:46 Adam Really?
1:19:47 Caller Yeah, we had to ask our parents for money to record our first record. And we had to borrow money from them to rent our first van to go on tour.
1:19:53 Caller Yeah, it was actually a rider truck.
1:19:55 New Found Glory Us and another band in the back of a box truck.
1:19:57 Adam Jordan had to take money out of the cookie jar. And how old were you when you hit the road?
1:20:01 Caller Seventeen.
1:20:02 Adam Wow.
1:20:02 Caller Yeah, well, I mean, we toured like when we were in high school, like on like winter break, spring break in the summertime. And then when we finally got out of high school, we decided to do it full time.
1:20:10 Adam Did everyone in high school know about you and know the band?
1:20:13 Caller Everyone in high school didn't like our band. You know, we were the punk rock band that no one really cared about. You know, now it's like we go to our hometown.
1:20:19 Caller Everyone was listening to Wedge.
1:20:21 Caller Yeah, because there was like the cool, what were the preppy kids, the preppy kid band. That's the band that everybody would go see. That's the band would be playing all the cool parties and we'd be playing like a club cue and like.
1:20:29 Adam When I was in high school, I was in a band called Fart with a PH.
1:20:32 Caller He was.
1:20:33 Adam Oh, that's right. I think we talked about that.
1:20:35 Caller I think we did too.
1:20:35 Adam I thought it was a genius name. Yeah. What year are we talking about? I mean, when you guys hit the road or when you were in high school?
1:20:48 Caller I guess junior in high school.
1:20:49 Adam I mean, what year on the calendar? 97. All right. I was trying to think what mute. It's not like they were all in the flock of seagulls.
1:20:57 Caller No.
1:20:58 Adam Talking about 18 months ago.
1:20:59 Drew Let's hear a New Found Glory song.
1:21:02 Adam Oh, really? All right.
1:21:03 Caller It's actually one of the first songs we've ever written.
1:21:05 Adam Sucker is?
1:21:06 Caller Oh, we're playing Sucker? Yeah. They're playing a different song. You tricked me.
1:21:10 Adam This is the second song they ever wrote.
1:21:12 Caller No. Well, I thought you guys were playing Hit or Miss. That was like our first single or whatever.
1:21:15 Adam This is the very significant 77 song they ever wrote.
1:21:19 Caller Yeah.
1:21:20 Adam It's called Sucker. That is New Found Glory, that sucker off of the new CD, New Found Glory.
1:24:16 Caller That's a fake audience.
1:24:17 Adam That's a good song.
1:24:18 New Found Glory That's fake.
1:24:20 Adam But they would be clapping if they were here. That was very enjoyable. I really like that song. Thanks. It's nice.
1:24:28 New Found Glory Tell me about your first kiss, man.
1:24:30 Adam Yeah. Oh, yeah. Esti Chilidanko was my first kiss of the season. Her name was Esther Chilidanko, 27. I don't care you.
1:24:40 Drew Sorry.
1:24:41 Adam I was right for my 28th birthday. Now, she changed her name to Esti Chandler later. She got hip. I think she was trying to avoid the stigma of making out with me in the 7th grade. So she actually changed her name. There was a whole relocation program for girls that made out with me. Government would move them to Tucson and take them new names, new jobs, new identities. Now, that's what it sounded like in high school when I was on my own. All right, we're going to take a little break. New Found Glory is here and we'll be back with your questions and comments after this.
1:25:18 Caller Hello, this is your radio. Love Line will be right back.
1:25:55 Adam Hey, everybody, it's Loveline. Chad, Jordan, and Steve are all here from New Found Glory. We got Ian's ass out of here.
1:26:07 New Found Glory He was our anchor, though.
1:26:08 Adam He was eyeballing me all night, dude. And it's like, I didn't want to say anything, but I was going to take a swing at the time. I said, I said, one more break, and he probably picked up on my vibe, and he just, he went out to the bus, man.
1:26:21 New Found Glory Actually, he did say something to me on the way out.
1:26:23 Adam Yeah. It's, you know, I'm not going to apologize, man. That's the way I felt. Debbie?
1:26:28 Hello. How are you?
1:26:29 Adam Hey, you're 18. What's up?
1:26:31 Not much.
1:26:32 Caller I know everyone's been thanking you guys, but I'm going to do it again. Thank you for having this whole, like, open, for me, like, thing. It's nice having, like, a team to go to talk about the whole tragedy that's going on.
1:26:42 Adam Well, thanks. We appreciate that. And that's, you know, we felt that it was something that was important to do during this time.
1:26:49 Drew And if we need to keep doing it, we'll keep talking about it.
1:26:52 Adam Right.
1:26:52 Caller Because I know, like, a lot, like, the teachers, you know, like, I'm going to college, of course, right now, and, like, the teachers talk at you, but you don't really talk about it. And so this is good.
1:27:00 Drew Well, this is the place to come bring your feelings. That's more about trying to intellectually grapple with it.
1:27:04 Adam It's an easier gig for me. I was getting mad at you thinking about how easy it was just to sit around and talk and not crack jokes. It's like just talking. You don't have to sit around and call everyone a-holes and make fart jokes. I'm on my 18th whack-off joke by, like, 1045, usually. You know, this is easy.
1:27:23 Drew Tough work.
1:27:23 Adam Yeah. All right, so what's up there, Debbie?
1:27:26 Caller Okay, and I also had a call for New Found Glory. I was going to go to all of the three California shows, and I think it's really great that you guys were able to postpone it, because I know, like, my whole family's been kind of out of whack lately with all the tragedy in New York.
1:27:40 New Found Glory Just out of respect for everything that's going on.
1:27:41 Caller Yeah, and I know some people were, I was reading on one of the club boards online on Yahoo or something, and, like, people were upset about it. And I just want to tell you that it's so great. Like, I don't know, I don't think, I know I wouldn't have gone on, like, Wednesday.
1:27:54 Caller Yeah, well, the shows are going to be rescheduled for next week.
1:27:56 Caller Right, yeah, we already got all the new dates.
1:27:57 Caller Okay, cool.
1:27:58 Caller Yeah, and, like, I just think that it's so cool because, like, it's helping us, you know?
1:28:02 Caller Yeah, totally.
1:28:03 Caller And, like, I don't know, is this a New Found Glory-ish thing to do, I think?
1:28:06 Caller Cool, thank you. Thank you. We actually were supposed to be home, but, you know, by, what, Saturday?
1:28:11 Caller We were supposed to be home on the 16th.
1:28:12 Caller We were supposed to have, like, five or six days off. We haven't had any days off in the past, like, six months, and we were looking forward to having the time off, but, you know, in spite of what happened, it's, you know, we're definitely, you know, doing the right thing for everybody.
1:28:21 New Found Glory I honestly feel, I mean, you know, as Dr. Drew says, we have to, you know, live on and do what we have to do and just, you know.
1:28:30 Caller Keep your head straight.
1:28:31 New Found Glory Yeah, keep your head straight, but it just feels weird even talking about shows.
1:28:34 Caller It feels weird.
1:28:35 New Found Glory It's honestly weird for us to be like, yeah, we're sad we had to cancel a show because honestly shows at this point in time don't really matter.
1:28:43 Caller Yeah, it's not that big of a deal. I know.
1:28:45 Adam Well, there's a balance to strike between being disrupted and proper mourning and coping.
1:28:52 Drew It's offensive to start to ignore what's going on.
1:28:55 Adam Yeah, right.
1:28:56 Drew On the other hand, to go on is important so they don't conquer us with fear. And also people need a release. They need people to look to at a time to help them with their stress.
1:29:06 Adam Right. So I think there's a mourning period and then that period hopefully comes to an end. You never forget, but you can get on with your life and the duties of life. Rebecca?
1:29:18 Caller Hello.
1:29:18 Adam You're 39. What's up?
1:29:20 Caller I sure am. Well, I wrote a sonnet in honor of Dr. Drew on his birthday and I tried to call you guys up, but I couldn't get on on Drew's birthday and events since then have rather, you know, seem not like Poetry Night.
1:29:32 Adam Sure. Now, which birthday is 23rd or the one he celebrated most recently? Okay. So hasn't been that long.
1:29:40 Caller I hadn't heard of him on his 23rd birthday, although he probably was doing the show back then.
1:29:46 Drew True.
1:29:47 Caller Okay. So here it goes. Blue Fire or Drew the Brainiac.
1:29:52 Adam Wait a minute. What's the title again?
1:29:54 Caller Blue Fire or Drew the Brainiac.
1:29:57 Adam Blue Fire.
1:29:58 Caller Yeah.
1:29:58 Adam Okay.
1:29:59 Caller I, in order to give Drew his due, indict this poem in praise of Dr. Pinsky, a Brainiac of Simp Eternal Hue, the late night talk show version of Kandinsky. As Russian dye grades spill from blue to blue with blue yet deeper showing through in veins. So Drew provided food for thought to chew, afforded the perfect vehicle for brains. Carolla's Ocar-Ocar-Ondo-Mur-Tri-Few, these Jimmy Kimmel's and these Howie Mandel's compared with Drew-
1:30:27 Adam Hold on, hold on. It's Mandel. It's a Howie Mandel, not Mendel.
1:30:31 Caller Well, it doesn't rhyme that way.
1:30:33 Adam Well, you can rhyme smell.
1:30:34 Drew I don't like you.
1:30:35 Caller Well, that's not the way I wrote it and I'm not changing now. Compared with Drew-
1:30:39 Adam Well, listen, there's more stuff that rhymes with Mandel than Mandel.
1:30:43 Drew I don't like you.
1:30:44 Adam Yeah, I'm just saying that.
1:30:45 Caller That's not my rhyme.
1:30:46 Adam I understand it, but for future poetry.
1:30:48 Caller Okay. Well, just bear with me, would you?
1:30:51 Adam Okay. I'll give you some rhymes for Carrot Top after the show.
1:30:55 Caller Please do. My hair is brown, by the way.
1:30:58 Caller Carrot Top is the man.
1:30:59 Caller What's up?
1:31:00 Adam All right. Go ahead.
1:31:01 Caller Compared with Drew who keeps his plan in view, show to Greek fire is futzing Roman candles. So Drew, outdo, fade not, but further flare, to find, to find fire furthered over air. Yeah.
1:31:14 Adam Hold on. This is why I don't go to the Renaissance Festival every year because you're running to people like Rebecca.
1:31:20 Caller You mean there's a reason?
1:31:21 Adam Yes. You go to those Renaissance Fairs, don't you?
1:31:24 Caller No.
1:31:25 Adam Please.
1:31:25 Caller No.
1:31:26 Adam All right.
1:31:27 Caller You smell like patchouli, don't you?
1:31:29 Caller I know most of the lyrics to the English and Scottish border tunes.
1:31:33 Adam That, I'll tell you, it was mostly confusing, but there were some shades of brilliance in there, some flares of brilliance, wouldn't you say?
1:31:41 Drew Yes. Very puckish.
1:31:42 Adam Thank you.
1:31:43 Caller Okay, one last thing, Adam, I'm going to give you cause for a rant. You know that PSA, which is your total nemesis, that went about how our bodies are not built to withstand airplane turbulence?
1:31:56 Adam Yes, I know.
1:31:56 Caller It was just on, where I'm listening to this show, it was just on and it seemed as though in light of recent events, someone would have had a brainwave and taken that off.
1:32:10 Adam I agree wholeheartedly. Yes, it is.
1:32:12 Drew Now it's truly bad taste.
1:32:15 Adam There's a public service announcement that I hear through the national feed in my headphones during the commercials about air turbulence and how dangerous it is. I always do a short rant about it because it's not nearly as dangerous as many other facets of society or many other things that exist. But it seems almost in poor taste to play that thing now, doesn't it?
1:32:36 New Found Glory Oh, yeah.
1:32:37 Adam All right. Let's, and by the way, oh, man, we don't have enough time.
1:32:42 New Found Glory What?
1:32:42 Adam I just, I was hearing these news reports where they found the cockpit of the plane that went into...
1:32:48 Drew The cockpit recorder.
1:32:49 Adam No, they found the cockpit.
1:32:51 Caller Did you guys hear about this?
1:32:53 Adam They, I was hearing news reports that they found the cockpit of the plane that went in, maybe the first or second plane, that went into the World Trade Center, and that they found guys in there, and the one guy wasn't wearing a pilot's uniform, so it could be assumed that he wasn't. What? And I was like, yeah, that was my thing. It's like, I thought that thing would have been-
1:33:12 Drew Incinerated.
1:33:13 Adam I thought you could have fit that entire plane into a shoe box at this point, that they found it, and that the guy, they found a guy in it. And my only, the only thing I could think of is that it blew through the other side and landed on someone's roof or something. But anyway, just, you know, now, I mean, it was like tragic before, and now, as these stories start coming in, it's becoming surreal, you know what I mean? In a morbid way. All right, we're going to take a break. New Found Glory is here, and we'll be back.

1:34:29 Adam It's Loveline. All right. Well, there it is. A very interesting week to say the least. I want to thank New Found Glory for coming in here and tell you all that the best way to cope with any tragedy is a New Found Glory CD.
1:34:45 Drew It's interesting.
1:34:46 Adam It is. It's how we can heal ourselves. New Found Glory is the name of the CD. I want to thank, what the hell, Damien for doing a great job on Lead Phone and Coffee all week long, and Lauren for doing a great job, and Tara, don't call me Tara, god damn it, for doing a great job all week long, producer Anne for putting her feminine stinger on the show, and of course, the wizard behind the board, Engineer Anderson for making us sound great all week long, and until next time, this Adam Carolla for Dr. Drew saying mahalo.
1:35:22 Caller As Russian dye grade spills from blue to blue with blue yet deeper showing through in veins, so Drew provided food for thought to chew, afforded the perfect vehicle for brain.
1:35:34 Caller This has been Loveline. The opinions expressed on this show are not necessarily those of the staff, management, sponsors, or this station. The producer for Loveline is Ann Wilkins Engel. Loveline is a presentation of Westwood One Entertainment.
