1:01 Voiceover Listener discretion is advised. Adam Corolla and Dr. Drew.
1:10 Voiceover Loveline, Coast to Coast.
1:12 Voiceover Hey, everybody. It's Loveline. I'm Adam Corolla. That is Dr. Drew. That's John on the lead chair over there. Phone number 1-800-LOVE-191, Dr. Drew, board certified physician, addiction medicine specialist. Our old friend System Of A Down are here. John and Shavo both here from the band. We just, uh, Shavo promised if he got drunk at dinner, he'd start speaking Armenian during the course of the show.
1:45 System Of A Down I'm having a tough time with my phone right now.
1:47 Adam He's not disappointed. Not at all. We all went out for some lovely Armenian food before we came here tonight.
1:54 System Of A Down Refreshing.
1:55 Adam Yeah. We talked to the guys about going out for some of their native food, Armenian food, and we'd been discussing it for a while, and we decided to finally do it this time. So we all met up about around 8 o'clock, ate a ton of food. Somebody paid for it. I don't know if John did. I'll tell you, it had to be expensive. It was delightful.
2:19 Drew It was happening, wasn't it?
2:20 Adam Yeah, I think a lot of Americans are a little freaked out by the Middle Eastern fare in general. It's not bad. It's all the stuff you know just put in a little different shape.
2:32 Drew But you gotta know that the place we went was a Middle Eastern place. It was an Armenian authentic place. So it was more like Eastern European. So it wasn't like the casual Middle Eastern stuff you would have.
2:46 System Of A Down There was something yogurt based though.
2:48 Drew Yes, there was.
2:49 Adam Yeah, they like the yogurt over there. They like a lot of parsley and lemon and lots of good beef. Although my Kafka didn't come until the very end of the meal when I was stuffed, but I had to shove a few in me anyway. But very, very delightful, had some Ouzo, which is a sort of a licorice wine liqueur thing that was kind of nice and a little champagne.
3:15 System Of A Down A little Champagne.
3:16 Adam Yeah, it was very, very nice.
3:18 System Of A Down It was very the continental.
3:20 Drew Very, very enjoyable. Do you know that Champagne wouldn't be called Champagne unless it came from the province of Champagne?
3:25 Adam Yeah. Yeah, dude. Other than that, it's like sparkling wine. But we don't keep track of that stuff. We're going to hear something off of System Of A Down's Toxicity CD and probably a couple of things off of that.
3:41 System Of A Down We're playing the whole album, actually.
3:42 System Of A Down Do you want to impress the guys with your rendition of one of their songs?
3:45 Adam I might sing along. I might sing along.
3:48 Drew I've heard about it. I've never heard it.
3:49 Adam I've done quite a bit of singing.
3:52 Oh, wait a minute.
3:53 Adam Let me get fired up here. Well, it really kicks in, you know, when it kicks. That's when I kick. Drew jumps in, too, on this one, too. Every night we do this. This may be one of my new karaoke songs, by the way. Oh, yeah.
4:09 System Of A Down It'd be nice. Worthwhile, I think.
4:12 Adam All right. Let me focus now, would you please?
4:14 System Of A Down This is your command performance.
4:15 System Of A Down That's a big mug of coffee.
4:17 What is that? Shigar, mugger, mugger, mugger. Shigar, mugger, shigar, mugger.
4:24 Adam There's no vocals yet.
4:25 You want to. Shigar, mugger, mugger, shigar, mugger, mugger, shigar.
4:37 Adam Thank you.
4:37 Drew Wait, it didn't happen yet.
4:38 Adam I know, but that's the part where I sing, because that's the break, and then we come out of the commercial, and we got to get on with the show at that point. But we do do a lesson.
4:49 Shigar, mugger, mugger, shigar, mugger, mugger, shigar, shigar, mugger, mugger.
4:57 System Of A Down I don't know why we didn't invite you to guest appear on the album.
5:01 Adam I should have laid down like a backing vocal somewhere. Anyway, well System Of A Down is going to be going to Australia and going to Europe. So if you're listening to the show, there's probably not a great chance you can find them stateside for just a little bit. Although John was telling me they had a small tour.
5:21 System Of A Down In February.
5:22 Adam In February.
5:23 System Of A Down Yeah, we're going to be, I think the closest we come to LA is Vegas.
5:26 Adam Okay.
5:26 Drew On Valentine's.
5:27 System Of A Down Which you already did.
5:29 Drew No, it's coming.
5:29 System Of A Down We're always in Vegas.
5:30 Drew Yeah.
5:31 Adam Are you guys going to be like the House of Blues or something? Where are you going to be?
5:34 System Of A Down Hard Rock.
5:35 Adam Oh, that's what I meant actually.
5:36 Where is House of Blues?
5:38 Adam I was thinking Hard Rock when House of Blues came out of my mouth.
5:42 System Of A Down That happens a lot.
5:43 Adam That's what happens. We get older and you smoke. All right. Let's go to the phones and speak to Lucas who's 14. Lucas.
5:53 Caller Hello?
5:54 Adam Yeah. Turn your radio down, goofball.
5:56 Caller My bad.
5:58 Adam What's up?
6:00 Caller Before I go down, I wanted to know if I could access someone down question because I didn't tell the phone screen to that.
6:07 Adam Okay, go ahead.
6:08 Caller Am I on now?
6:09 System Of A Down Yeah, you're on now.
6:10 Caller Oh, yeah. Since I'm on down, I want to know why in your Chop Suey song you say, when angel deserves to die, and then you say father later on in the song.
6:21 Drew It's father, why have you forsaken me? And it's lyrics coming from Sarajit, what was in his mind at the time. I don't know what was in his head, but it has its own interpretation for you and for him, I guess.
6:33 System Of A Down So, I remember last time, last time these guys were on, somebody asked what the meaning of certain lyrics, I think it was this show, and Javo answered the same way, which was, it was in Sarajit's mind when he wrote it down.
6:44 Drew Yeah, he wrote it down at the time.
6:45 System Of A Down It came out of his head, he wrote it down.
6:46 Drew And then he wrote it down, and then that's how he does most of the songs. You know, I can't really explain his lyrics because it's really hard. And Darren writes really good lyrics too at times, like the ones where you, on the album, that you can actually understand, where there's like, you know, those things. No, actually the ones that have like actual, like you know what he's saying, you don't have to really go at a certain point. It's mostly Darren, yeah.
7:07 System Of A Down He has more of a straightforward style, that's what it is. Whereas Sarajit uses more metaphors and innuendo.
7:14 Adam Hey Lucas, any other questions?
7:17 Caller Yeah, I wanted to ask Dr. Drew if like if there's something wrong with me because when I see my parents make out like I'll start to get a wood and like I just want to know if like it's just me or...
7:26 Adam No way.
7:27 System Of A Down What are your parents, I mean how how into it are they getting in front of you?
7:30 Adam No way.
7:31 Caller No, like when they just like make out like when you use tongue and stuff.
7:33 Drew Well you watch your parents make out?
7:35 System Of A Down What is this?
7:36 Caller Yeah, they're just like right there in front of me like when they before they go to work to say bye and then like when they get kissed and then...
7:43 Drew Excuse me.
7:44 System Of A Down But here's the deal, look, here's the deal. You're you're sort of conscious brain may not like this but your more primitive brain doesn't know it's your parents. You know what I'm saying?
7:53 Adam Yeah, yeah.
7:54 System Of A Down There are parts of your body that can respond to these things just because they're sexual and there are other parts of your brain that think, oh my God, what is this?
8:01 Adam Your parents are making out before your dad leaves for work, is he?
8:05 Drew I've never seen my parents make out like that, never.
8:07 System Of A Down I don't think I've seen my parents kiss.
8:09 Adam No, my dad was just as sexually disgusted by my mom as I was. And rightfully so.
8:16 System Of A Down Well, you guys had a $17,000 house.
8:18 Adam $17,500.
8:20 System Of A Down He moved into that house, Mike.
8:22 Adam Yeah. Oh, that was a step up.
8:23 System Of A Down Yeah, that's when he had to get out and get into that. Stepping out at that point.
8:27 Adam As it turns out, John and myself lived just blocks apart growing up pretty much. I mean, we were between the same busy streets, off of the same busy street, right?
8:37 System Of A Down But by the time John was living on those streets, you were living in a one bedroom with five guys.
8:43 Adam Probably.
8:44 Drew Living in a bedroom with five guys.
8:45 Adam Well, four guys. John, how old are you? How old are you now?
8:47 System Of A Down 29.
8:49 Adam So I'm seven, eight years older than you. So yeah, I may have been out of there by then. But and by the time John got in the neighborhood, that's 17.5 pounds was probably worth.
8:57 System Of A Down 19.4.
8:58 Adam 19.4. I was going to say 19.3. But yeah. Josh.
9:04 Hey.
9:04 Adam You're 15. What's up?
9:06 Caller Yeah. Hey Adam. Hey Drew.
9:08 Adam Hey, Josh.
9:09 Caller Hey, system is down.
9:10 Drew What's up?
9:11 Caller Hey, I had a couple of questions for you guys. First one is on the song Chop Suey. Was it originally titled Suicide?
9:20 System Of A Down That was its working title. What we did is during the recording process, we had about 33 songs that we were contemplating recording, which we ended up recording actually. And you know, we couldn't name it song number one, song number two. And then all the way up to song 33, we had to give it some kind of title. And that happened to be, you know, a lyric that was in the song. So we're like, okay, that's what it's called for now. We had, you know, Toxicity, as you know, it used to be called Virgin 7.0. And before that, what was it? Sushi song?
9:48 I don't know.
9:49 System Of A Down We had so many names for these songs we don't even remember. But to answer your question before you ask it, no, we didn't change the name for any specific reason. We just wanted to change it to fit what we liked.
10:02 Caller Okay.
10:02 Caller I think it's a cool name.
10:03 Caller Cool. Thank you. Hey, also, are you guys still doing the video for Toxicity?
10:09 Drew It's actually shot and I just finished the edit today.
10:11 System Of A Down We're going to see it tonight, right?
10:12 Drew Yeah, you guys are going to see it.
10:13 System Of A Down We're going to debut it tonight.
10:14 Drew For Adam and-
10:17 Adam For me and Drew, none of you screw balls. Yeah, Shavo directed it. Shavo was editing it tonight before he came and met us for dinner. He brought a copy with us. It's like a rough cut basically, right?
10:29 Drew It doesn't have any effects, but it's actually like the edits that I chose finally. Okay.
10:34 Adam All right, so we'll take a look at that.
10:35 Breaking it down.
10:36 Adam Yeah, during the commercial break actually. Megan?
10:40 Caller Oh, hi.
10:41 I had a question. I am on antidepressants. First I was on Zoloft and now I'm taking Selexa. A lot of my friends do ecstasy. I know drugs are bad and all that, but if I do ecstasy, do I have a greater risk of it having a worse effect on me because I'm also on antidepressants, which are already increasing my serotonin?
11:07 System Of A Down It's an interesting question. Probably not, particularly probably not with Selexa. There is a theoretic possibility of developing something called a serotonin excess syndrome, which can be fatal and it's the result of flooding your brain with serotonin. I've never seen that actually happen. The main issue is though that you are depressed, you need antidepressants and ecstasy can make that worse.
11:29 Adam Right. What about the depression of not being able to do drugs? People don't talk about that, how depressing that can be for a young teen.
11:37 System Of A Down That's why she's on the bed.
11:38 Adam All your buddies partying, getting laid, thinking they can fly. There you are, sitting around drinking a yoo-hoo. That's depression.
11:49 Well, I mean, my depression has never really gotten in the way of.
11:54 System Of A Down Your drug use?
11:56 Adam Well, good. It's nice to meet a young person with priorities.
11:59 System Of A Down Is it possible that your drug use is what's causing your depression?
12:02 Because some people can. Lately, since I've been on the antidepressant, I haven't. I mean, I don't really do drugs, but I do drink, and I haven't drink in since I've been on the antidepressant. Because I felt that the alcohol really did have an effect on the depression. I haven't done it, but just in general, I mean, just sort of as a general question, I wanted to know about the ecstasy, just because it is something that's around. Not like I have plans to do it, but just...
12:29 Caller Yeah, you do.
12:31 Drew Why are you calling them?
12:32 Because it's, I mean, it's possibility. I mean, it's all around me.
12:36 Drew No, there's a lot of good, no, there's a good chance of you doing it. If you do it, be careful. Don't mix the drugs. Don't take them together, because, you know, one's a downer and one's an upper. You know that, right? And that might screw up your heart.
12:47 Caller Marijuana is the flame.
12:48 Caller Heroin is the fuse.
12:49 Caller LSD is the bomb.
12:51 Oh, my God.
12:52 Drew That was good.
12:53 System Of A Down How about the Peter Fonda drop?
12:55 Adam That was true.
12:55 Drew Let's hear that.
12:56 Adam Wait, I like this one, too. You got it, Anderson?
12:59 Caller Just what is it that you want to do?
13:02 Caller We want to be free. We want to be free to do what we want to do.
13:07 Caller And we want to get loaded.
13:08 Caller And we want to have a good time. That's what we're going to do.
13:10 Caller Away, baby, let's go.
13:12 Caller We're going to have a good time. Sounds like a musical.
13:14 Drew Oh, my God, that's great. I want that. I want a copy of that.
13:17 Adam That really, that should be sampled.
13:19 Drew That should be my phone answering machine fully. I want that, guys.
13:23 System Of A Down Open the video.
13:24 Drew I want that.
13:24 System Of A Down Open the video with that drum.
13:26 Drew That's the new video.
13:27 I want to be free.
13:28 Adam One do, one do.
13:29 Drew Let's go.
13:30 Adam I mean, the man's stopping us.
13:32 System Of A Down We want to get loaded.
13:33 Adam Yeah.
13:33 Drew Let's go.
13:34 Adam Come on, Daddy-O.
13:36 Drew All right, so don't do both at once. I mean, that's not good. I don't think I got a downer.
13:40 System Of A Down Well, there's actually some people, some people actually believe that taking a serotonin reuptake inhibitor before you take ecstasy may decrease the damage from ecstasy.
13:47 Drew Really?
13:48 System Of A Down So, there might be...
13:49 System Of A Down Why would you want to do that?
13:50 System Of A Down Because they want to preserve their brain. But there is a theory of risk. And there's also the fact that it could make depression that this woman already has worse.
13:59 Drew Well, just know that ecstasy brings on depression in the future, not in the present. That's right. It's not something that happens right now. You'll be happy. You'll love it. And then in a few years, you'll understand what it's done to you.
14:08 Caller We're going to have a party.
14:13 Caller David?
14:14 Caller Yeah.
14:14 Adam You're 17?
14:15 Caller Yep.
14:16 Adam Go ahead.
14:16 Caller Alright.
14:17 Caller Hey Adam, hey Drew.
14:18 Adam Hey.
14:19 System Of A Down David?
14:20 Caller I was going to ask the system of a down a question about the LA Riot you have in your free show.
14:23 Drew Bring it.
14:24 Yeah, what were your guys' comments on this?
14:26 System Of A Down It sucked. They stole our equipment, they broke everything, it was pointless and stupid.
14:32 They took Serge's rug.
14:34 Drew No, it wasn't his rug, it was our rug. First of all, they took John's drums.
14:40 Adam Explain the story, reset it for people who aren't familiar with it.
14:43 System Of A Down Basically, we're going to have this free show to show our appreciation to our fans.
14:49 System Of A Down In Los Angeles.
14:50 System Of A Down In Los Angeles, Hollywood to be exact. Right, Hollywood. And we thought it would be a really cool idea to do it. We haven't done an outdoor show like that in a long time in LA, and here it was. There wasn't enough security, I guess, and too many people showed up. They were expecting like 4,000. I don't know why, but they were expecting like 4,000 people, and 10,000 showed up. So the fire marshal shut it down for safety reasons, and at that point, you know, all hell broke loose, basically. It was a pretty sad occasion.
15:21 Adam Were you guys ever in fear for your safety?
15:25 System Of A Down We weren't even allowed to go outside.
15:26 Drew I was in fear of my, because I had my dad.
15:28 System Of A Down We had family out there.
15:29 Drew Yeah, my brother and all his friends in the crowd. So I had security go and get them out. Because they wanted us to leave. And I was like, I won't leave the area until my family and my friends are out of there. So I had security go into the audience, bring them out. And then I took up, you know, I got in the van.
15:44 Adam How do they, YouTube's like, it's the hairy guy eating the baklava.
15:48 Drew That's the guy.
15:49 Adam In the members-only jacket. He's in his 50s.
15:52 System Of A Down Don't forget the OP shorts.
15:53 Adam You should find him. He's the guy in the members-only. He's got the mustache. With the OP shorts. He's in his 50s. He's wearing loafers with a tassel on it.
16:00 System Of A Down Well, the police actually threatened to arrest us if we went out there. We were going to go and just tell the crowd that we weren't going to be able to play and try to end it peacefully and have the crowd dissipate.
16:11 Caller They aren't your fans anyway, man.
16:13 Drew Well, the people that were on the news, actually, that I saw that night didn't even know how to say our name. They're like, well, we're such big fans of System Of The Down that when they're not here, we get mad, System Of The Down.
16:25 System Of A Down I like some of the...
16:26 Caller Three and a half years, man.
16:27 System Of A Down Right on, man. Thank you.
16:28 Drew Thank you.
16:28 System Of A Down Some of the reporters had interesting ways of saying our name, though. What the hell was it?
16:33 Adam You got some good versions of System Of The Down.
16:34 Caller Yeah, really good versions.
16:35 Drew System Of The Down. That was the cool one.
16:38 Adam Didn't... but I know this was... it didn't work out the way you wanted it to work out. But as the months and years wear on, isn't it a little bit of a feather in the camp of any band to have a free show and have too many people show up?
16:52 System Of A Down Only because no one got seriously hurt.
16:53 Adam Right. They estimate 3,000 or 4,000 people, 10,000 people show up. It's a good story for down the road. You know? It's like, hey, we wish we could do another one.
17:02 System Of A Down Tell your grandkids that.
17:03 Adam Yeah, we're too popular. It won't work.
17:04 System Of A Down But it could have been a lot worse. Somebody could have gotten killed. Then it wouldn't have been a story I would like to tell anyone. You know, we were very lucky that no one got seriously injured. Right. And people should realize, you know, I mean, some kids got arrested. You know, we don't know how that's going to affect their lives in the future. Control yourself a little bit. You don't have to destroy things just because things don't go your way.
17:23 Drew One thing I do think of is how would the show have gone? Because there were so many insane people that I think if we played, it would have been like the most amazing show.
17:31 System Of A Down It would have been a rad show.
17:33 Adam And you guys and John, they stole your drum kit.
17:36 System Of A Down Yeah.
17:37 System Of A Down I got really lucky. One of the, I don't know how it happened, but some kid got a hold of my snare. It was a very special snare because I used it to record this album. And I have like a sad story. The whole drums, all our equipment got stolen from the first album. So we had no mementos, you know, the first album. And now my whole drum set got stolen from the second album. So I had nothing basically. I'm renting the kit for the next album, by the way. I'm not taking three times a charm. We're going to rent this time. But I got the snare back actually last Friday.
18:10 Adam You had LoJack on it or something?
18:12 System Of A Down Exactly.
18:13 Adam Now what, how do you, well first off, you really should, I do this with my tools. You take those engraving things and you just buzz your driver's license number in it in case it shows up at a pawn shop somewhere. But how much is a decent drum kit?
18:27 System Of A Down Well, I think the retail value of this kit was like 10 grand.
18:30 Adam Jesus Christ. And was your equipment out there and none of the other guys' equipment out there or did everything get screwed?
18:36 System Of A Down No, I don't know why the drums got stolen. Probably because the hardest thing to put away is the drums. They could put away, I mean other stuff got destroyed, like the amps and stuff got messed up, but the basses and the guitars, they had them put away.
18:50 Adam Is there any insurance for that kind of thing? I mean, do you guys get compensated by your label or anything?
18:55 Drew We do have insurance. Not by our label, though. We do have insurance, but insurance pays only a part of it. And a lot of it doesn't really matter because it's not monetary. It's mostly like it's your own equipment. You're a musician, you're an artist, your bass, your guitar, your drum means something to you. It's not just that $2,000 toy that you bought.
19:14 System Of A Down I mean I wanted to give that to my kids one day and be like, when I recorded this album, this is what I used to record.
19:20 Drew It's a piece of history. We get free stuff, but some of the stuff that got jacked was not just the free stuff. It was like important stuff.
19:26 System Of A Down And it's priceless to us. It's not like something you can Right, right.
19:30 Adam No, I mean, it's like what a baseball is worth after it's hit over a fence, as opposed to what it cost at Big Five.
19:37 Drew Well, that's good, Drew.
19:39 Adam That's good.
19:40 Drew I think the whole band altogether was 65, 70,000.
19:44 System Of A Down Something like that. And damages.
19:46 Drew Really?
19:47 Adam Really?
19:47 Drew The band itself, the whole band.
19:48 Adam Holy crap.
19:49 Drew Because I saw on the news, I went back to my room afterwards, my hotel room, and I was watching the news and it was showing the live coverage. And it showed this girl with a hammer. It was our hammer that was in his drum tech's case, right, in Sako's case.
20:03 System Of A Down And I don't know why she got a hammer.
20:04 Drew She had the hammer in her hand and she was just whacking my rig. And it was like, I could see the gray case, because that's what I use, the gray ones. And she was whacking at the whole time. What a crazy look on her face.
20:18 Caller Just like that.
20:21 System Of A Down It was kind of funny though, because she could barely lift the hammer to strike down. But she was doing it. It would be like, I don't know, me hitting you with this water bottle, empty water bottle on the head. That's what it looked like.
20:33 Adam I'll tell you, I think it's that, I don't know, Drew, if you've ever done this, but I've been caught in a van with a whole bunch of people around it going nuts. And there's this weird mob mentality that takes over. And alone, there's not a criminal in the group. Together, they're all felons. And it's a weird frenzy thing that when you get caught up in it, and it's a real scary situation.
21:00 System Of A Down That's why when Adam was caught in that kind of situation, hundreds of people were surrounding the van, he told the driver to step on it.
21:07 Adam Well, look, one of the guys, the guy started punching a window. I said, roll the window down. I said, I'll hit this guy with a hook if this guy comes around. And I just said, look, if you're stupid enough to stand in front of a van and bounce up and down and start yanking on the windshield wipers, I said, look, this is Darwin at its best. Start going, baby.
21:25 Drew I agree with him.
21:26 Adam I don't feel sorry for anyone who gets run over. I mean, I don't want to kill any college kids. But listen, I told him, start moving. And the deal is, is they'll move. Don't you worry.
21:36 System Of A Down When the crap with the fan, they they marshaled us into this van. And I'm telling you, I felt like the president or something, because this guy was not stopping for anything. Yeah, I'm talking about other cars.
21:47 Drew No, he was going red lights.
21:49 System Of A Down You know, he was out. There could be a wall of flame in front of us. And we were going through it. You know, nothing was stopping us.
21:54 Drew Well, I felt like the Rodney King, you know, that guy that got beat up, the white dude.
21:58 Adam Reginald Denny.
21:59 Drew Yeah, you know how that was? I was like, if that was me, I was just driven on their asses. You know, he's got a big old 18 wheeler, right? Why'd he stop and look out the window?
22:07 System Of A Down Probably because of what was going on.
22:08 Drew That's exactly how I felt. That's how it was. That's how the whole scene was over there.
22:12 Adam Well, like I said, a tragedy, but a feather in the camp, a System Of A Down. Maggie?
22:19 Yeah.
22:19 Adam You're 30?
22:20 Caller Yeah.
22:20 Adam All right, hold on a second, would you? Okay. So we got to go to break here.
22:26 System Of A Down Wow, it's been 20 minutes already.
22:27 Adam Yeah. See, time flies when we're talking about writing.
22:30 System Of A Down Yeah. So are the bowels right now.
22:32 Adam John and Shaav are both here from System Of A Down. We'll take a little break. We'll be right back.
22:42 Caller Loveline will be right back.
23:05 Adam Hi, this is Jon Favreau, and you're listening to Love Line with Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew.
23:15 Drew What happened over there? Something weird. But we're back.
23:19 Adam Oh, all right. It's Loveline. I'm Adam Corolla. That's the late Dr. Drew.
23:25 Drew Hey, I want to hear you sing another song of ours.
23:28 Adam Shavo. OK, hold on.
23:29 Drew Can we hear you sing Bounce, maybe?
23:31 Adam Yeah. Shavo and John are both here from System Of A Down. Toxicity is the name of the CD. I think we'll what we'll do is we'll take a call. I could back this band up.
23:56 Caller Bring it, yeah.
23:57 Adam You know what I would play in the band is I would play, I would balance you guys with that hollowed out fish.
24:03 Drew There you go.
24:05 Adam Did I drag my number two pencil on it?
24:07 Drew Oh my God.
24:09 Caller Where does he get this stuff?
24:11 Adam That hollowed fish.
24:12 System Of A Down You know, I wish, I wish that...
24:13 Adam I'd do a solo in the middle of the song.
24:15 System Of A Down I really do wish we had a microphone on you the whole dinner that we had tonight.
24:19 Caller That was great.
24:20 System Of A Down There's some classic moments that we should have.
24:22 Adam Well, I couldn't talk too much. I was busy, I was busy eating.
24:24 Drew Do you like the sausage?
24:26 Adam Yeah.
24:27 Drew Soudiouk.
24:28 Adam Big into the sauce they bring. I like anything where they light it up. I've always had a hankering for Armenian sausage. They pour the sternouk in the bottom of the pot and the guy lights it up and it's flaming there. And then I don't know Armenian etiquettes. I didn't want to blow it out or take it off before the flame had gone out.
24:49 Caller We didn't know what the hell was going on to go out.
24:52 Adam Well, very solid. We had ourselves a lovely Armenian dinner with System Of A Down tonight. And now we're back in the studio. We just made it on time and well, here's something.
25:03 System Of A Down It hasn't hit yet, by the way.
25:04 Adam Here's something off the CD. Yeah, Drew couldn't eat a couple of the things because we'll give him the gas.
25:11 System Of A Down Right. Gas and sick.
25:14 System Of A Down It'd definitely be Sofa City for you if you hit that tonight. Be Sofa City?
25:19 System Of A Down Oh, yeah.
25:19 Caller Because that's where you'd be sleeping tonight.
25:21 Drew More like toilet city.
25:23 System Of A Down Well, it's high comedy, but yeah.
25:24 Adam We'll speak to Chelsea. And let me just kiss System Of A Down as I ask for a second. Boy, every call we've gotten up here has been for System Of Down. Place was... and it really takes... I mean, Drew, how often is there anyone waiting out in the parking lot to talk to a band on this show? It's fairly rare. And even when a guy like Ozzy comes in here, there's 15 people standing out there.
25:52 System Of A Down Seven hundred people out there right now, guys.
25:54 Caller There was ten thousand people.
25:56 Adam John's drum kit got stolen.
25:59 Drew There was a riot going on outside.
26:01 System Of A Down Right now, they're jacking my mom's car that I brought.
26:04 Caller Close the door.
26:05 Adam Chelsea? Yeah. You're seventeen? Yeah. What's up?
26:09 I've been taking, like, birth control, and I missed it for three days. And then, like, me and my boyfriend had sex during that three days, and, like, I missed my period, so could I be pregnant?
26:20 Drew Yep.
26:21 Adam There you go.
26:22 Drew Scary, huh? How old are you?
26:24 And also, I just have to say, oh, my God, like, Shalva, you're like, oh, my God, you're the love of my life.
26:29 I swear to God.
26:30 Drew Thank you.
26:31 That's all I have to say.
26:32 System Of A Down Would you be willing to raise her child?
26:34 Yeah.
26:35 Drew How old are you?
26:36 Adam Seventeen.
26:37 Drew You shouldn't be having kids at seventeen. You shouldn't be getting pregnant at seventeen.
26:40 Adam So what are you going to do, Chelsea?
26:43 I don't know. I mean, I don't know, I just.
26:47 System Of A Down Let me interpret. That was your question so she could talk to Shalva.
26:50 Adam Oh, really?
26:51 System Of A Down Yeah.
26:51 Adam She's not so. But I believe her. You don't believe her? Oh, OK.
26:55 Drew I believe her.
26:56 Adam Chelsea, are you making this up?
26:57 Caller No.
26:58 System Of A Down No. Come on.
27:00 Caller I'm not.
27:02 Adam OK.
27:03 Caller All right.
27:03 Adam All right. So, Chelsea, go on to play in parenthood or something. Get a pregnancy test, all right? OK.
27:09 Thank you.
27:10 Adam OK.
27:10 Drew I love you.
27:11 Adam See what I'm saying? What do you have for her? No, I still think she missed her period and did her thing. Here's the point. There's a lot of young people prioritize. I mean, a kid is something we can all have. But speaking to Shavo is a once-in-a-lifetime situation.
27:32 System Of A Down I get excited when I talk to you.
27:33 Adam Yeah. Oh, man. Yeah. I remember. We, Shavo showed up late for dinner, but there was a sort of nervous anticipation waiting for him to show up.
27:42 System Of A Down And energy when he walked in.
27:44 Adam The place lit up in the Christmas tree.
27:45 System Of A Down And they wouldn't make his chicken sandwich.
27:47 Drew No, they wouldn't, because you believe that they would not make the chicken sandwich.
27:50 Adam The band started playing a song when he came through the door. It was that Elvis song, right?
27:53 System Of A Down It was the Armenian Elvis.
27:54 Caller The Armenian Elvis. Help, falling in love with you.
28:03 Adam Yeah, and then Shavo was outraged. And wait, what was your buddy's name who made a trip to the kitchen?
28:10 Caller Jack.
28:11 Adam I'll tell you that you see that's a risky move because that's a power move. When you do that, you're talking to the waiter and they go, no, sorry, we don't do that.
28:18 System Of A Down He came up lame.
28:19 Adam And you go, it's a ballsy move, but it's a risky move where you go, let me go in the kitchen.
28:25 Caller I'll talk to him.
28:25 Adam And then you go in the kitchen and you come back dragging your tail. And then he told me to ask myself. He said if my daughter came in and wanted a chicken sandwich, I'd tell her to F herself.
28:35 System Of A Down You know what he should have done is he should have ordered it to go.
28:38 Adam To go and we would have gotten it.
28:38 System Of A Down And then brought it back in. Because then you cover up for your inadequacy.
28:42 Adam Right. We wanted, the guys wanted the famous chicken sandwich, but the management didn't want to see people eating sandwiches in their classy joint. So there was a little problem.
28:54 System Of A Down It's a little too hoity-toity tonight.
28:56 Adam All right. All right. Should we hear something from System Of A Down?
28:59 System Of A Down I thought we just did.
29:01 Caller You want to play it again?
29:03 Adam We'll take one more call and we'll hear a System Of A Down song. Maggie, you're 30.
29:08 Caller Yes.
29:09 Adam What's up?
29:10 Caller Hi.
29:10 Adam Hello. Hey.
29:11 Caller Dr. Drew.
29:12 System Of A Down Maggie.
29:13 Caller Alka-Seltzer for you tonight.
29:16 System Of A Down No, no, I'm okay.
29:16 Adam He didn't eat it. He didn't eat the sausage. But I took a bite of it and we did like a French kiss thing. I think he might have got some of it.
29:24 System Of A Down He passed some to me.
29:25 Adam Yeah.
29:26 Caller Adam, you'll be smelling it for days.
29:28 Adam Yeah, you will.
29:29 System Of A Down Yes, you will.
29:30 Adam Worth it. Listen, I'm going home with the stuff we brought back.
29:33 Drew Yeah, we brought a lot. Four actual containers.
29:36 Adam I'll take it. Can I take it?
29:37 Drew It's all yours.
29:38 Caller The house is going to smell.
29:40 System Of A Down Best stuffed grape leaves I've ever had.
29:41 System Of A Down Yeah, it was really good.
29:43 Adam All right. What's up, Maggie?
29:44 Caller First, I just want to say to the band, Askidneet Luis.
29:48 Drew Oh, thanks.
29:49 Caller I'm being the number one band on K-Rock and so popular nationwide. Good job.
29:53 Drew Thank you.
29:54 Caller Thank you.
29:55 Caller My question is actually for the band. I wanted to ask about their influences and their background for their music. What inspires them?
30:04 Drew Well, I'd like to say life in general because all of us have something to do with the band. Darren writes a lot and Serge writes words and we write a lot of other things. It's mostly life because we listen to all types of music. It's not like I can't say kiss or metal or jazz because we've listened to it all. It's life that influences us to write music.
30:25 Caller You even have a little Armenian in there, right?
30:27 Drew Just a little bit, yeah. That's from our parents.
30:30 Caller That's all good. Any chance that you guys will play a show out in the Soviet Armenia when all the action dies down?
30:38 Drew That's a possibility for the future. We really haven't thought about it yet. We don't know what's happening, but let's take care of the world.
30:44 Adam How is System Of A Down over there? I mean, are you heroes?
30:50 Drew It's all bootleg stuff though.
30:51 System Of A Down In Armenia, actually, yeah. Because our singer visited Armenia recently. And he told me that obviously they don't have a lot of money over there, and they're still rebuilding after communism and all that. But there is a movement. A lot of the kids know of us, and he actually got recognized. I think for him, it was more spiritual than anything else, just going back to our homeland, basically.
31:15 Drew Well, taking a dump is more spiritual for him than anybody else.
31:20 Adam Thanks, Maggie. We were this close to having a nice moment there. The job had to ruin it with this cramp humor. Total turnoff.
31:29 Drew Sorry.
31:30 Adam Whatever.
31:31 System Of A Down Get that boy a diaper.
31:32 Adam Too late now, dude. Well, let's hear something from System Of A Down off of toxicity. This one is called Needle. System Of A Down. John and Shavo are both here from the band. We're going to watch a new video from System Of A Down. I don't know, when would this thing hit TV? I mean, we just got a rough cut here that Shavo just finished editing.
35:13 System Of A Down Yeah, I think it begins airing on the 15th, I do believe.
35:18 Adam Okay, so that's just-
35:20 System Of A Down Yes, January 15th. Wow.
35:22 Adam All right, so we're going to go get a sneak preview and we'll be right back after this.
35:31 Caller Loveline, we'll be right back.
36:09 Adam Hey, everybody, it's Loveline. I'm Adam Corolla. That's Dr. Drew. John and Shavo are both here from System Of A Down.
36:17 System Of A Down Upstairs, downstairs, baby.
36:19 Adam It's the name of the CD. Just had a funny conversation. Drew was, John from System Of A Down was and is into comic books and was and made his living selling these things and trading these things. And I was just talking to Drew about comic books, a decent way to get your kid to start reading. And he was telling me about his kids. And and I thought it is every conversation eventually distills down to me complaining about my childhood, especially when I hear about Drew's great, his kid's great childhood. And I was saying, you know, when we were kids, you could watch cartoons Saturday morning, but then that was it. You were screwed for the rest of the week. And at night you had to sit around and watch Mod with your mom at age seven and a half, which didn't make a whole lot of sense. And it wasn't funny. But I was saying to Drew, yeah, we'd watch Saturday morning cartoons. And then at night you'd be watching Upstairs Downstairs on Masterpiece Theatre, narrated by Alistair Cook. And John walked in and he said, Upstairs Downstairs, man, that's great. I got that on tape. And I was thinking, he's got some PBS Masterpiece Theatre on tape. Doesn't sound like John. And he goes, Seca's in that. She's blowing this dude.
37:32 Caller Through a door.
37:33 Adam Through a door.
37:37 System Of A Down I thought we were going to avoid it this time, but I guess it always comes back.
37:45 System Of A Down John's porno habits.
37:47 Caller Oh my god! He does it with me. Oh, yes, he does. I know that you thought that you knew him.
38:06 Adam Yeah, this could be like a 13th cut on the CD.
38:11 Caller But you don't.
38:13 Drew This would rock faith out of the water.
38:30 System Of A Down That's a song.
38:31 System Of A Down A lot of people don't know the history with System Of A Down in this song.
38:34 Adam Oh, well. Oh, wait, wait, Big Crescendo.
38:38 Caller You'd want him to if you only knew.
38:45 Adam Well, what happened with this movie, this is where the love affair with System Of A Down began, is I had, I did not have a VCR, but my buddy, the Wheeze had one. And this is not when I was 15, but I was 18 or 19, but it was still exciting, the idea that somebody had nudity on, you know, in the form of a cassette and I could rewind it and watch it over and over again. It was amazing to me. And I used to go up to his house and he had Taboo II. So, it's like your first girlfriend. You know what I mean? It's like the songs you used to listen to in junior high and why you'll always like them.
39:23 System Of A Down Good memories.
39:23 Adam And then I had, and then I, Good memories. Then I'd missed my Taboo II for many a year.
39:29 System Of A Down Like 20 years.
39:30 Adam Yeah, hadn't seen it for 15 or 20 years and somehow found out that John had Taboo II and not only had it, but had an extra copy for me. And I cut out of the show about a half hour early.
39:43 System Of A Down I ran the hill down North Hollywood.
39:45 Adam We were playing poker. I got on the phone. I got on the phone and I think I finished up the last couple of calls on the 405 freeway and got Taboo II from John. And there's quite a great soundtrack on that. It's not only he's got it all, but there's the good bass line one.
40:07 System Of A Down It's a fat bass line.
40:18 Caller Very good. Yeah.
40:19 Adam And then there's one more. What's the other good one in that?
40:22 System Of A Down Part 3 has this rock disco band. And they got five songs on there.
40:27 Drew That'd be great to write music for.
40:28 System Of A Down It's amazing.
40:29 Drew Four scenes.
40:29 Adam You guys really should really should cover cover. What is the one other one from my Taboo II that I can't remember?
40:37 Drew I don't know.
40:38 System Of A Down Your song?
40:39 Adam Yeah. Yeah.
40:40 Caller You sicken me.
40:42 Adam Yeah, it's it's it's it's going to come to me. And then when I start up, you guys are going to jump right in. Believe me. Colin.
40:49 Yeah.
40:50 Adam You're 15.
40:51 Caller Yeah.
40:51 Adam What's up?
40:52 Caller I just want to say, first of all, Adam.
40:54 Adam Hold on.
40:55 Caller Oh, baby, I want to be. Yeah, I know that one.
40:59 Caller That's the one.
41:00 Adam All right.
41:01 Caller Oh, baby.
41:03 Adam Yeah, that's a hot tune. Yeah, that's good.
41:06 Caller Colin.
41:07 Adam Yeah, sorry.
41:07 Caller Got to get it on, got to get it on.
41:11 Adam Got to get it on. I know it sounds bad, but we'll see if it's hot.
41:15 Caller It's wrong with us.
41:16 Caller It's wrong with us.
41:17 System Of A Down You can't even sing it. It's so good.
41:19 Adam We're warped.
41:20 System Of A Down We're not doing it justice. You need like Elton John over here with a piano and stuff.
41:24 Caller Colin.
41:26 System Of A Down Colin.
41:27 Caller Yeah.
41:27 System Of A Down What's up?
41:28 Caller Yeah. Listen, I just want to say, first of all, Adam and Drew, you rock. I listen to your show every night.
41:32 Adam Thank you.
41:34 Caller Second of all, System Of A Down, you rock ten times more.
41:36 Drew No, we don't.
41:37 Adam Oh, yeah.
41:38 Drew Adam and Drew rock.
41:39 Caller Really? I mean, I could listen to your CD 20 times and not get bored of it.
41:44 System Of A Down Awesome.
41:44 Drew Thank you very much, dude.
41:45 System Of A Down That's really cool.
41:46 Caller I really hope that you guys continue making your music and putting out more CDs.
41:50 Drew I hope we do too, man.
41:51 Caller I bought three of your CDs just so you'd get the support of the money.
41:54 Drew Thank you so much, man.
41:55 System Of A Down You're awesome. Thank you, but you don't have to do that. I mean, as long as you enjoy it. No, we don't need to make the record company any richer.
42:01 Caller It's great, dude.
42:01 Caller I'm just kidding.
42:02 System Of A Down No, we're not kidding.
42:03 Caller I feel bad I lied to your screener because that's all I had to say. I made up some bull story just to talk to System Of A Down.
42:08 Adam All right. That's all right. That's fine with it.
42:11 System Of A Down Well done.
42:11 Adam Yeah. Good job.
42:14 System Of A Down Cheers.
42:14 Adam What name is that? Ganga?
42:16 System Of A Down Ganga.
42:17 Adam Ganga? It's Ganga.
42:18 Drew Ganga.
42:19 Adam I've called before.
42:20 Caller I don't know. You made fun of my name before too.
42:23 Adam All right. Well, I won't do it this time.
42:25 Caller Okay. I just wanted to first say System Of A Down. You guys are really, really talented. One of my favorite bands. I'm sure everybody says that, but it's true. Thank you. I bought stickers. I have CDs. I have everything here.
42:38 Drew But do you have the Lifestyle doll of John?
42:41 Caller Is that for real? That's not out yet.
42:42 Drew Of course it's for real.
42:43 Caller Where do you buy those?
42:45 Drew At Hot Topic.
42:46 Caller Cool. I go there all the time. I never saw it, but yay. Anyway.
42:49 Drew It's in the corner.
42:50 Caller Yay. Okay. My question is, I have an older sister. She's 21 and she has a boyfriend that's really, really abusive. I mean, he's like, he's been with him for like six years and he hasn't hit on me recently, but he hit on me like a couple of years ago.
43:04 System Of A Down Is he using drugs or alcohol?
43:06 Caller Yes, he is. Definitely. Heavily into pot and drinking.
43:08 Caller Okay.
43:09 Caller Yeah, and he hits her because I've seen bruises and stuff. My dad says, oh, she deserves it or something.
43:15 System Of A Down Your dad says that?
43:16 Caller Yeah, he said it because I guess she can make everyone in the family really mad. She gets kind of angry and stuff. But anyways, I've always told her, I told her he says mean things behind her back to me and hits on me. He cheats on other girls and she knows all this, but she just won't break up with him. My whole family is like, we hate her relationship with him.
43:32 System Of A Down But it was such a great model in dad. I can understand why she did.
43:36 Caller He deserves it.
43:38 System Of A Down Give me a chicken pot pie, woman.
43:40 Adam Do they have any kids?
43:43 Caller No.
43:43 Adam Oh, good.
43:44 Caller No. But I wouldn't be surprised if they did soon, I mean.
43:47 Adam All right. So what's the question?
43:50 Caller I want to know how to get through to my sister, like make her horrible relationship.
43:55 System Of A Down Yeah.
43:56 Adam It's tough when they're into it.
43:58 System Of A Down I think the more you try to get her out of the relationship, the less likely she is to get out of the relationship.
44:03 System Of A Down Yeah.
44:03 Caller I've tried. I mean, I've stopped trying. I tried it first.
44:06 System Of A Down If anything, it's going to ruin your relationship with your sister. Yep. I think what you should do personally, what I would recommend is you just try to give her as much support as possible. And advise her without giving her advice to break up, to break up. You know what I mean?
44:19 Caller You know what?
44:20 Drew Sort of make her understand what's happening to her and that it's wrong and let her make the decision of leaving him.
44:27 System Of A Down And the only thing you know so far is that drugs and alcohol are involved in this in a substantial way.
44:31 Caller Yeah.
44:31 System Of A Down And you can't change him, but you can certainly help her in dealing with that issue and maybe get her to an Al-Anon meeting and get a sponsor and work some steps. And maybe the two of them can actually work this thing out. Maybe the guy is treatable. But if she starts changing and growing, he'll freak out and it will motivate him to make some changes too.
44:48 Caller Okay.
44:48 Caller Thank you.
44:49 Adam Hey, hey, you know what you need to do though?
44:51 Caller Yeah.
44:51 Adam Don't, I mean, you may piss her off, but you need to make sure she's using birth control. Because you need to say, look, whether you're going to be with this guy forever or not, I don't know. He doesn't seem like a great father. And you don't seem like you're in a position right now where you'd make a great mother. And why have that permanent bond between the two of you? You know, in case you change your mind down the road. And it's hard to change your mind when you have a kid. So I just encourage her to, you know, ask her if she's on the pill or what she's doing. And just encourage her at least not to get pregnant. And then you can buy yourself some time. And possibly have a drifter kill this guy.
45:32 System Of A Down Speaking of birth control, I've started getting a few calls for emergency contraceptive from pharmacies around. And I still think, why can't we find a way to create a network where on this show we could just say, hey, go to XYZ Pharmacy, use my name or some network of physician's name.
45:48 Adam I know that's it.
45:49 System Of A Down 24-7-pow, we know where you can get this stuff.
45:51 Drew That's smart.
45:52 Adam I don't understand the part where it's going to be, you can get it without a prescription, but yet they need a doctor's name or referral. Yeah. How does that work?
46:03 System Of A Down I don't know.
46:03 Adam But why couldn't they use Dr. Bellows from I Dream Of Genie?
46:08 System Of A Down He has to agree to it apparently.
46:10 Adam They have to have his name somewhere?
46:12 System Of A Down My point is, hey, I agree to it. I agree. Go ahead guys. Enjoy.
46:15 Drew Use the name Drew.
46:16 Adam But Drew agrees, but you're not on file at these places.
46:21 System Of A Down Some of them have national networks of physicians, and so they just look me up and get my numbers and that's that.
46:26 System Of A Down Is it possible that you can have some kind of side effect or bad allergic reaction and just want someone responsible?
46:33 System Of A Down Well, yeah, it's not so much a side effect because of the many, many, many millions of emergency contraceptive prescriptions, there's not been one significant side effect other than vomiting, not one serious effect. What I think they want is to make sure that somebody is responsible for following up and making sure they're not using this as a birth control routinely. They're just using it as an emergency backup method.
46:53 Adam All right, so how do you get on file with all these places? That's the question.
46:58 System Of A Down I'm still waiting for a call from the California Medical Association.
47:01 Adam All right. So, but even now, could they just try? Would they look you up?
47:06 System Of A Down Yes, some people are doing it. I get calls, I had several calls from my office to a pharmacist saying, hey, can we use your name? Yes, that's the answer. That's all my staff. Yes.
47:12 Adam All right, so if you're a young person who's listening, wants to get this, you can go to a pharmacy and drop Drew's name and they'll go, wait a minute, is that that dude who sold out to Men Are From Mars and Women Are From Venus? I know that cat.
47:25 System Of A Down You needed his, you needed.
47:27 Adam He hung with that cool dude on Loveline for a while.
47:30 System Of A Down You need my last name, which is Pinsky, Pinsky, P-I-N-S-K-Y.
47:33 Adam Okay, use the Drew Pinsky name and we'll be back with System Of A Down after this.
47:39 Caller All right, guys, bottom line, here's the deal.
47:41 Looking to hook up, sick of wasting time with the wrong person. One call is all you need to make. Call the Dateline.
47:46 Caller 877-889-DATE.
47:52 Caller Love Line with Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew.
47:54 Caller 1-800-121-91.
47:58 Caller We'll be right back.
48:29 Caller Hey, hey, hey, hey, it's Loveline.
48:31 Adam I'm Adam. That's Drew. Phone number 1-800-LOVE-191. System Of A Down is in the studio tonight. John and Shavo are both here from the band. Toxicity is the name of the CD. The new video should be hitting MTV on the 15th, was it?
48:48 System Of A Down You are correct.
48:49 Drew That's what they tell us, but I'm not sure.
48:51 Adam So just, what's the hell's the date today?
48:54 System Of A Down 10th.
48:55 Adam Couple of, a couple of less than a week.
48:56 System Of A Down That'll be the day we leave for Australia, actually.
48:58 Drew So we'll never see it.
49:00 Adam Well, they got MTV over there, don't they?
49:03 System Of A Down They got something over there.
49:04 Adam They got MTV everywhere, I mean, when you're traveling around?
49:07 System Of A Down Well, usually when we're in Europe, we always get CNN. That's like a guarantee.
49:14 Adam BBC.
49:15 System Of A Down I just remember we're going to have to go to Europe again and deal with the TV there. It's really bad.
49:20 Adam The TV is bad there?
49:21 It sucks.
49:22 Adam Why don't they just have satellite everywhere?
49:25 System Of A Down Well, I'm sure they do, but they don't have it in the hotel rooms.
49:27 System Of A Down Nobody has it, right?
49:29 Right. You had it.
49:30 System Of A Down Hey Adam, you were giving me some grief about selling out to daytime television.
49:33 Right.
49:35 System Of A Down I just thought of something. Just three words. Caught red-handed.
49:42 Adam Yeah, I just did voiceover for that show.
49:44 Oh, yeah.
49:45 System Of A Down Were there other voices?
49:46 Adam There were the voices of the stooge actors around there.
49:50 All right.
49:51 Adam I did that for the bread. Yeah, I know.
49:53 Drew The voices are good, man.
49:55 I wouldn't mind doing some voiceover.
49:56 System Of A Down You haven't seen the show, obviously.
49:57 Drew No, I guess not.
50:00 System Of A Down The word good doesn't apply to it in any way.
50:02 Adam I'll tell you. Now, I just have to tell the story very quickly. It was this crappy UPN show, and it was just a junkie show where they hide cameras and play jokes on people. They wanted me just to do the voiceover, and they're going to pay me a lot of money, and I could do it from the studio, and all I had to do was show up to the studio like an hour early, like twice a week, and make a boatload of money, so I said, fine, and the producer of The Man Show, who is a real stickler for this stuff, he said, are you high? You can't do that. I said, why not? He said, you're going to get a reputation as a hack. People are going to know it's you, and you're going to lose your credibility. I said, no one's going to know it's me. I'm not, it doesn't say starring Adam Corolla, and I don't say my name on it. All I do is the voiceover. He says, you'll see. I said, please, you're just jealous because I'm making some money, and it's no big deal. Well, like two weeks later, there's this big ad, not a big ad, but a big half-page picture of me looking fat and ugly in like the New York Times or something, and it says, Corolla embarrasses himself in big letters. And my buddy Daniel, the guy, the producer, warned me not to do it, naturally got hold of it, made about 300 Xeroxes of it, pasted it all over the office. And because I'm always the last one into the office, I walked in to find a wallpapering of Corolla embarrassing himself, and then read the review, and it was if I'd produced the show, written the show, conceived the show. It was like, I mean, how, but Drew, how, I understand this is why you can't do crap, but certainly the people that review these shows have to have a little more savvy than to think the guy does the VO, the guy does the voice over, produces the show and writes the show and creates the show, don't they?
51:52 System Of A Down Obviously not, but I guess I pushed a little button here.
51:54 Drew Was the show that bad?
51:55 Caller All right.
51:56 Drew No, is it that bad?
51:57 I don't know what show this is.
51:58 Adam It was fairly.
51:59 Caller It was that bad.
52:00 Drew Is it still out?
52:01 Adam Can you still see it?
52:01 Caller No.
52:02 Adam Okay.
52:02 Caller I wasn't even working on the show then, but I was embarrassed to be working in the same building.
52:08 Drew I wish I'd never heard.
52:09 Adam Oh. That's the last time we cut you in for a taste.
52:12 Caller Oh.
52:13 Adam Anderson was there. Anderson, you were recording that stuff, weren't you?
52:17 That wasn't me.
52:19 Caller Like I said, I didn't work on the show, but I was embarrassed to work in the same building.
52:22 Adam Okay. Thanks, bud. Zach?
52:25 Hey, what's going on?
52:26 Adam You're 18. What's up?
52:28 Caller I just want to say, Mad Show. It's a great show.
52:30 Adam Thank you.
52:31 Caller If you were a king, it'd be very cool.
52:33 Adam Thank you.
52:33 Caller But my question is for System Of A Down.
52:35 Here they are.
52:36 Caller Okay. My friend, he brought a CD over to my house that was basically a bunch of illegally acquired songs. And...
52:44 Drew Zelda?
52:44 Caller The Legend of Zelda theme came out here.
52:46 Drew It's not ours.
52:47 Caller And he said this is System Of A Down. I was wondering if it was really you.
52:50 Drew I knew he was going to bring it up. Did you hear me say Zelda? Okay. Clear it all up. Legend of Zelda song on Morpheus or on Kazza or on any of those download programs is not us. That is not our song. We did not do that. That's someone who is trying to sound like Sarge. And it's probably some kid in his room with one of those new computer programs right in the track and releasing it as System Of A Down. It's not us.
53:15 System Of A Down The game is cool though.
53:16 Drew Yeah, the game is really cool. I finished it when I was 13.
53:18 Caller Yeah, it did sound like a lot like you, but I wasn't quite sure. But thank you for cleaning that up.
53:21 Drew No, it's just this dude that rolls his R's like Sarge and that's it.
53:25 Caller Yeah.
53:25 Drew That's it. Yeah.
53:26 Caller Okay. Well, I love the new CD also. It's great.
53:28 Drew Thank you.
53:29 Caller All right.
53:29 Drew Thank you.
53:29 Adam Thanks, Jack. Let's talk to Christina who's 16. Christina?
53:35 Drew Hello?
53:36 Adam What's up?
53:36 Hi.
53:38 System Of A Down I have a kind of a little problem that could be bigger.
53:42 Adam Okay.
53:43 System Of A Down I'm nine weeks pregnant.
53:45 System Of A Down You will be bigger, right?
53:48 System Of A Down Yeah. But I have parents that are very strict. I grew up in a Catholic house and they would disown me. And I don't believe in abortion. And I am lost and confused and don't know what to do.
54:05 System Of A Down You're nine weeks pregnant?
54:06 System Of A Down Yeah.
54:07 System Of A Down Is adoption something you would consider doing? Yeah.
54:10 System Of A Down But then I have to tell them.
54:12 System Of A Down Well, if you're not going to get an abortion, you're going to have to tell them, right?
54:15 System Of A Down Right.
54:16 Adam Well, would they freak out more over an abortion? Not that they're going to find out. But just hypothetically, would they be more against an abortion or you being pregnant?
54:28 System Of A Down Me being pregnant.
54:29 System Of A Down Hmm.
54:30 Adam You think so, huh?
54:32 System Of A Down I know so.
54:33 System Of A Down Are they aware that you have sex?
54:34 System Of A Down But you're against abortion.
54:36 System Of A Down I'm not sure. Yes, I am.
54:38 Adam Who's the father?
54:39 System Of A Down Boyfriend.
54:40 Adam And how old is he?
54:42 System Of A Down Sixteen.
54:43 Adam Does he have any thoughts about this?
54:45 He's sixteen. Actually, I haven't told him yet.
54:47 System Of A Down That's true.
54:48 Adam Yeah. I mean, do you think he would get freaky if you wanted an abortion or if you wanted to give the kid up for adoption?
54:56 System Of A Down I think he would rather go for abortion because I don't know that he's ready to be a dad yet.
55:00 He's not.
55:01 System Of A Down But what about adoption?
55:06 System Of A Down I'm not sure. I haven't talked to him about that.
55:08 Adam Well, if she does the adoption thing, she's obviously going to have to tell her parents. Sure. So is your... I mean, you have two options. It's get the abortion and never let your parents find out unless they're big fans of the show. But I'm guessing they're in bed rubbing their rosary right now and getting ready to saw a log. So they're not... I mean, they won't find out about it or tell them about it, see the kid all the way through, and then give the kid up for adoption. On the other hand, what if the parents, because this is their grandkid, says don't give the kid up for adoption? And then how many rights do they have?
55:45 Drew Does she want to have the kid or is she just afraid of telling her parents? That's the main thing right here.
55:49 System Of A Down I'm afraid of telling them.
55:51 Drew Okay. But do you want to have the kid?
55:55 System Of A Down I grew up without a mom because she was 17 when I was born.
55:59 Drew Okay.
56:00 System Of A Down And I, so I don't know.
56:04 Drew Alright, you've made the decision to get pregnant, alright? Which wasn't a decision, but it was because you did it. You had sex.
56:09 System Of A Down You're sort of hell-bent on recreating your family of origin problems.
56:13 System Of A Down Right.
56:13 Adam Well, what about your mother? Do you know her?
56:17 System Of A Down No, not really.
56:18 Adam So you were adopted?
56:21 System Of A Down I live with my dad and my stepmom.
56:23 Adam And your mom was 17, but how old was your dad then back then?
56:27 System Of A Down 24.
56:28 Adam Who? So your dad was in his early 20s when he knocked up your 16-year-old mom?
56:33 System Of A Down Yeah.
56:34 System Of A Down Back then it was cool.
56:35 Drew Yeah, it was okay.
56:36 Adam Yeah. That was at the Jerry Lee Lewis era. And so how have things been with your stepmom and your dad?
56:44 System Of A Down I hate my stepmom and I love my dad more than anything in the world.
56:47 Adam And what about your biological mom? Do you ever see her?
56:50 System Of A Down No, she was on drugs and all that crap. She's a typical 17 year old girl but likes to party.
56:58 Adam Okay. Well, the acorn doesn't fall too far from the tree, as they say.
57:03 System Of A Down Why do you hate your stepmom?
57:05 Caller She's...
57:06 System Of A Down I just don't like her. I never have.
57:09 Adam Most people don't... a lot of people don't like their stepparents because if you had to... Here's what I'm saying. Parenting is a tough job, but it's not going to win you any fans. You know what I mean? It's pretty much, especially when you have a young girl, you're telling her, don't do this, don't do that. And you can take it from your blood because there's a bond there. But when there's no bond, then it's just some a-hole living with you, telling you what not to do.
57:34 System Of A Down Well, you're more resentful because who do you think you are? My mom.
57:37 Adam Right. And they're resentful because it's like, hey, your druggy mom flew the coop. I'm over here trying to do what I can and you hate my guts?
57:46 System Of A Down Are there any other, do you have any brothers or, do you have any siblings at all?
57:50 System Of A Down I have a stepbrother, a half-brother, and a half-brother that's on my biological mom's side.
57:55 Adam Oh, I swore she was going to say three-quarter brother.
57:58 Drew Well, that's really nothing we can really tell you to do besides, I mean, if you want to have it and you don't believe in abortion, then you got to bite the bullet and tell your dad and have the kid and seriously grow up. Or you got to have the abortion and, you know, bite the bullet in that way, in that sense, I guess.
58:17 Adam And what do you think, Christina, if you had this kid, do you think you'd be emotionally open to giving it up for adoption?
58:27 System Of A Down I think if I thought about it for a long time, yes.
58:31 Adam Okay, well, yeah, I think what you're going to have to do is head over to a place like Planned Parenthood and sit down with somebody over there and figure out your options.
58:42 System Of A Down And if I did choose the abortion side, is there a way that they could find out?
58:47 Drew No.
58:48 Adam Your parents?
58:48 System Of A Down Yeah.
58:49 Adam No.
58:49 System Of A Down I don't see how.
58:50 Adam No. God would know, but your parents aren't going to know.
58:52 System Of A Down Nope.
58:52 Adam But God's all forgiving.
58:54 System Of A Down So, but adoption.
58:54 Adam Unless you don't believe in Him and then He kills you.
58:56 System Of A Down But adoption.
58:57 Adam But anyway.
58:57 Drew But I think adoption is like twice as bad, I think, because then you got to go through the nine months of carrying the baby, then you got to give birth to the baby, and you feel so attached to the baby, then you got to give it away.
59:07 Adam Right.
59:08 Drew That's like ten times worse for me.
59:09 System Of A Down Yes, it's a painful thing, but it's done.
59:11 System Of A Down But the argument is that you're bringing some... It was meant to be that she got pregnant. This is the argument that I'm making. She should take care of it.
59:17 Drew She should take care of it, then.
59:18 System Of A Down But taking care of it means getting the child to parents that are prepared to be a parent. And it's very painful for the biological parent, but on behalf of the child, make that sacrifice.
59:30 System Of A Down Yeah, you have to think selflessly.
59:31 Drew But if someone can't make the decision between getting an abortion because she doesn't want to tell her parents, then that doesn't stand.
59:37 System Of A Down I don't think a 16-year-old girl is capable of making that kind of decision. I think she definitely needs to go and talk to someone. If there is a family member outside of your immediate family that you can trust with this, that wouldn't be a bad idea. At least you have a relationship and you can feel comfortable talking to them. Or, if one of your really good friends has, if you trust one of their moms, go and talk to them and get their advice, if you trust them.
1:00:04 Adam And don't have any more use of birth control. And also, the morning after pill would have been something that had been more readily available, probably used here.
1:00:17 Drew Do we have a nine weeks later pill?
1:00:20 Adam Go down to Planned Parenthood and talk to them. You know how, guys, I was just thinking about these big moral dilemmas, guys would settle this with a rock, paper, scissor or something. I mean, eventually when it really just gets down to that, don't guys get out of a deck of cards or something?
1:00:36 System Of A Down Yeah, play a game of poker.
1:00:37 Drew We always take out a deck of cards.
1:00:39 Adam All right. Let's talk to Trevor who's 15. Trevor?
1:00:44 Caller Yeah.
1:00:44 Adam What's up?
1:00:46 Caller First of all, I'd just like to say System Of A Down. Awesome. Awesome band. Thank you. And Drew? Yeah. You need to realize that without Adam, nobody would listen to the show.
1:00:58 Adam That's right.
1:00:59 Caller And Man Show?
1:01:00 Adam Yeah.
1:01:00 Caller Awesome.
1:01:01 Adam Thanks, buddy. Did you make up your call?
1:01:03 Caller No, I did not make up my call.
1:01:04 Adam Oh, okay. Go ahead.
1:01:07 Caller I'm bisexual and I want to tell my parents.
1:01:10 Drew That's why, Drew.
1:01:12 Caller But I don't know how to.
1:01:15 Adam Really? A bisexual guy in the System Of A Down and the Man Show.
1:01:19 Drew And the Man Show. Click.
1:01:21 Adam A lot of range for a bi guy. All right. And if you ever...
1:01:25 Drew He was the only straight one.
1:01:27 Adam You ever been with a guy?
1:01:28 Caller Yeah.
1:01:29 Adam You have? All right. And if you've been with a girl?
1:01:32 Caller Yeah.
1:01:33 Adam And you just like them both?
1:01:34 Caller He's bisexual.
1:01:36 Caller Yeah.
1:01:38 System Of A Down How old were you when you first had sex?
1:01:41 Caller Oh, I haven't had sex yet.
1:01:42 Drew Okay, wait. You just said you've had sex with a girl and a guy, but you said you haven't had sex.
1:01:45 Caller No, I've been with a girl and a guy.
1:01:46 Drew What's being with a girl and a guy? What do you mean by being? Like kissing? Holding? What?
1:01:52 Caller Yeah.
1:01:53 Drew Kissing and holding. Going out with them. But you haven't had sex yet. How old are you?
1:01:56 Caller Fifteen.
1:01:57 Drew Okay, good that you haven't had sex.
1:01:59 System Of A Down Do you like gladiator movies?
1:02:01 Drew Have you ever seen A Girl and My Naked?
1:02:03 Adam Let me ask a hypothetical here.
1:02:04 System Of A Down Have you ever been in a Turkish prison?
1:02:06 Adam Would you rather, I'm going to ask, Drew, I ask this every once in a while. I know my answer. I would rather blow a guy for 30 seconds than seriously tongue make out with a guy for three or four minutes. Yeah, I think so. There's the stigma of blowing, but ultimately less intimate. I think if he promised not to come in my mouth.
1:02:32 Drew Blow, oh my God. I don't want to be a part of this one. Hold on.
1:02:35 System Of A Down You've got a whole thing about kissing, that you won't watch kissing in porn films.
1:02:38 Adam Oh, oh.
1:02:38 Drew Oh my God.
1:02:39 Adam Now, don't you think making out with a guy with tongues would be just, I don't know.
1:02:44 Drew I don't think about either one of those things.
1:02:46 Adam You don't? But now I'm forcing you to think about it.
1:02:48 Drew Now you are, and I just want to leave the show.
1:02:50 Adam Fifteen seconds of BJ or ten minutes of making out passionately.
1:02:56 System Of A Down I don't think.
1:02:56 Adam I'd say you go to 15 seconds.
1:02:57 System Of A Down I don't look at that as a win-win situation.
1:02:59 Adam No, no, it's not.
1:03:00 System Of A Down Pretty much a lose-lose for me.
1:03:01 Adam That's right. That's right.
1:03:02 System Of A Down Whatever your sexual preference is, is your business.
1:03:04 Drew I'd take a gunshot in the head.
1:03:06 Adam Oh, that's far.
1:03:08 Drew Sorry, I didn't mean to say that.
1:03:11 Adam Hey, Trevor.
1:03:12 System Of A Down Is there a C? Like a choice C? Like maybe crippling pain?
1:03:17 Drew Or a root canal? A root canal getting a wart out of your foot?
1:03:22 Caller A plant or some wart?
1:03:23 Drew A sign of a wart out of your foot?
1:03:24 System Of A Down Some laser surgery?
1:03:25 Adam Hey, Trevor?
1:03:26 Caller Yeah?
1:03:26 Adam You want to tell your folks?
1:03:27 Caller Yeah.
1:03:28 Adam Why?
1:03:29 Caller Well, I'm pretty sure they won't care. And I don't know, I'm just kind of sick of hiding it from them.
1:03:34 Adam Do they not pay attention to you?
1:03:36 Caller No, they do.
1:03:37 Adam They do?
1:03:37 Caller Yeah.
1:03:37 System Of A Down What are you going to tell them? You like guys and girls?
1:03:40 Caller Yeah.
1:03:40 System Of A Down Maybe you should figure out whether you like guys and girls.
1:03:42 Drew But there's some people that like both, I guess. I don't know, man.
1:03:45 Adam Well, do they, do you love your parents?
1:03:47 Caller Yeah.
1:03:48 Adam And you respect them and they've been good to you? And your dad's good?
1:03:53 Caller Yeah.
1:03:54 Adam Would anyone flip out if they found out you were bi?
1:03:58 Caller Well, I don't know, my mom's kind of getting into the born-again thing recently.
1:04:01 System Of A Down Oh, here we go.
1:04:02 Caller But she used to be bisexual when she was younger.
1:04:05 Adam I see.
1:04:06 Drew That's why.
1:04:07 Adam Payback time now, mom.
1:04:08 Drew That means you'll be in the born-again soon.
1:04:10 System Of A Down We'll pay back here.
1:04:11 Adam Yeah.
1:04:11 Caller Hi, mommy. I'm gay.
1:04:14 System Of A Down What's that?
1:04:15 Drew What was that again?
1:04:16 Caller No, I said I always thought that it was really cool that she was bisexual. It's not really payback time.
1:04:20 Adam OK. And your dad, how would he take it?
1:04:24 Caller I don't think my dad would care so much, but it's still kind of nervous.
1:04:27 Adam Why do you think he wouldn't care and just open-minded?
1:04:29 System Of A Down If they won't care, why bother telling him?
1:04:31 Caller He actually met my mom at a gay bar.
1:04:35 Drew So they're all bisexual?
1:04:36 Caller No, he was straight, but he was with some friends. I'm not sure.
1:04:39 Drew At a gay bar?
1:04:39 System Of A Down You know what? What is telling them going to accomplish? If you're not doing anything dangerous, if you're having a good time doing what you're doing, whatever it is...
1:04:46 System Of A Down What if you weren't bi? Would you have to announce that to them?
1:04:49 Caller What?
1:04:49 System Of A Down What if you weren't bi? Would you have to announce that to them too?
1:04:52 Caller Oh, well, I would think that they would just assume that I'm straight.
1:04:56 Adam All right. Well, listen, they're half right. I mean, look, we run into this all the time, and maybe it's not totally analogous, but when you're 15 or 16 and heterosexual, you don't announce to your parents, hey, dad, sniff my finger. Do you know what I'm saying? I mean, you don't tell them what you've been doing. The last thing you want is a 15 or 16 year old is to share any of that, whether it's you masturbating or some chick you dig or some porno you got. I mean, that's just none of their business.
1:05:29 System Of A Down Or the guy with the pretty eyes.
1:05:30 Adam Right. And if you're gay or you're bisexual, it's still none of their business. It's your sexuality.
1:05:38 System Of A Down As long as you're careful with what you do.
1:05:41 Adam Right.
1:05:41 System Of A Down You're not hurting yourself or anyone else. It's not really their business.
1:05:44 Adam Right.
1:05:45 System Of A Down Why does he feel like he's hiding?
1:05:46 Adam And that whole part of living a lie is such nonsense. Tell me I'm living a lie.
1:05:51 System Of A Down It's BS.
1:05:51 Adam Well, because it's like, look, people at your work don't need to know what your sexual proclivity is.
1:05:56 System Of A Down It's like if you masturbate, you don't tell everybody. You're living a lie. Tell me that.
1:06:00 Adam Yeah.
1:06:00 System Of A Down Right?
1:06:01 Adam Tell me. Well, actually, I do tell everybody.
1:06:03 System Of A Down Yeah, but that's you. That's you.
1:06:04 Adam I went into work today and told everyone about these. I got this porn on a DVD, and my DVD player broke down, and my big screen TV went on the fritz. But I remember, I have these virtual reality DVD goggles.
1:06:21 Drew Yeah, he's got those, too.
1:06:22 Adam I sold them. Oh, you sold them? They suck. Yeah, but do you ever watch porn on those?
1:06:27 System Of A Down No, I haven't.
1:06:27 Adam Oh, that's good. It's good.
1:06:30 System Of A Down I took them on a plane one time, and I felt like a total moron.
1:06:32 Drew Yeah, he had the glasses on. You should have seen them.
1:06:35 Caller He looked like a moron.
1:06:37 Adam I did that. You got to put a blanket over your head.
1:06:39 Drew It was a moment, you know. He looked like Ray Charles.
1:06:42 Adam Yeah, he looks like one of the guys from Star Trek.
1:06:45 System Of A Down Like, look, Johnny Mnemonic or something. This was a terrible film in itself.
1:06:50 Adam All right, so Trevor, we opt not to tell your folks about this because we would give that answer to a heterosexual guy who called, too. All right, let's speak to Shana, who's 15.
1:07:04 Caller Hi, I'm Topaz.
1:07:06 Adam Shana?
1:07:07 Hello.
1:07:08 Adam You're 15, what's up?
1:07:10 Caller Well, I was diagnosed with endometriosis. And my doctor told me that I have a really bad chance of being held up by babies because I had surgery. And they had me on the Depo-Provera shot, so I won't bleed because when I do, when I have my period, it hurts really bad and gives me really bad cramps. And well, my question was, what is my chance of having babies and why wouldn't I be able to?
1:07:42 System Of A Down Well, I don't know that anyone knows for sure why endometriosis affects fertility, but it does. And it typically does when you're in your 30s and late 20s. So if you are going to have babies, you have them in your 20s, usually you do okay. So it's more an issue of having fertility problems and the problems become more prominent as you get older.
1:08:00 Adam And can you get around this with the fertility treatments and that kind of stuff?
1:08:04 System Of A Down Yeah, and the treatment of the endometriosis. But it's a hassle for women to try to get pregnant when they have bad endometriosis.
1:08:10 Adam Right, but all that stuff's kind of moving fast, isn't it? I mean, you know, I mean, what percentage of society couldn't have kids 50 years ago and what percentage can't now?
1:08:22 System Of A Down I don't know those numbers.
1:08:23 Adam But it's quite different, wouldn't you say?
1:08:25 System Of A Down Yep.
1:08:26 Adam OK.
1:08:26 System Of A Down But then the other hand, they believe now that they're more infertile couples by a large margin.
1:08:30 Adam Oh, really?
1:08:31 System Of A Down They used to be. Why? People are more sexually active, they're waiting to get married, they're further along in life when they're trying to get pregnant.
1:08:39 Adam Yeah. What about the environment? They're worried about that?
1:08:43 System Of A Down No, people are trying to get pregnant but can't.
1:08:45 Adam Yeah, but I'm asking you, do you think there's something in the water?
1:08:48 System Of A Down No, no. It's that people in the last 20 years have been much more sexually active and getting tubal infections and things like that that affect fertility.
1:08:55 Adam Interesting. God's punishing everybody for being heathens. Interesting.
1:09:00 System Of A Down You will fight the heathens.
1:09:02 Adam Yeah, the heathens. I think I said heathens. All right. Anyway, should we take ourselves a little break? You want to take one more call?
1:09:07 System Of A Down Break.
1:09:07 Caller All right.
1:09:09 Adam Wait a minute. What about Casey? I think she's overweight. 6'1, 210. That's a lot of women.
1:09:15 System Of A Down You're fat.
1:09:16 Adam Casey? True. Please. Casey?
1:09:18 Caller Yeah.
1:09:19 Adam You're a gal?
1:09:20 Caller Yeah.
1:09:20 Adam 6'1, 210?
1:09:22 Caller Yeah.
1:09:22 Drew That's bigger than me.
1:09:23 Adam That's a good size.
1:09:24 Drew I'm 6'0, and I'm 5'1, 210.
1:09:26 Adam Oh, listen. She'll kill herself.
1:09:27 System Of A Down Don't please. Two shavos.
1:09:29 System Of A Down Please. Shavo looks like a...
1:09:32 Caller Forget it.
1:09:34 System Of A Down I'm not gonna get into it, but how much do you weigh?
1:09:37 System Of A Down I'm 2'10.
1:09:38 System Of A Down But you're 6'1?
1:09:40 System Of A Down While I'm thinking of it, something I did not say last couple nights, I've been talking about these transdermal contraceptives.
1:09:44 Adam Yeah.
1:09:44 System Of A Down They're not for people over 198 pounds.
1:09:47 Adam These patches?
1:09:47 System Of A Down The patches, yeah.
1:09:48 Adam Why?
1:09:49 System Of A Down They don't absorb normal properly.
1:09:51 Adam They're too much body mass?
1:09:52 System Of A Down I guess.
1:09:52 System Of A Down You got to hold up two of them on there?
1:09:54 Adam Yeah.
1:09:54 Drew You got to lose 12 pounds.
1:09:56 Adam Hey Casey.
1:09:57 Caller Yeah.
1:09:58 Adam Are you overweight?
1:10:00 Caller I think I am, but a lot of people say I'm not because I'm so tall.
1:10:04 Adam Yeah, but when you ask people, they'd say no.
1:10:07 Caller True.
1:10:08 Adam You know what I mean? Big leg one. You want to know how you can tell if you're fat, is you have to cut somebody off in your car and see what they yell. Because they yell, hey fat ass. Whatever they yell is what you are. If anyone wants to know what they are, like if they have the mono-brow like me or the Brillo head or the buck tooth or whatever you are, you want to get a check on your ethnicity, you're not sure how people are reading that, just cut somebody off and whatever they'll yell.
1:10:34 Drew I'll tell you straight out.
1:10:35 Adam This dumb Mexican or whatever you are.
1:10:37 Drew I was going to call a stupid moron today. I had to stop the car, you yell out.
1:10:40 Adam Yeah, but see, a moron that's just sort of ambiguous. That doesn't really go anywhere. Shut up, Corolla, you hairy bastard. If you want to know if you're fit, yeah, see, if you want to know if you're fit, you got to cut somebody off, okay, I would say 210 is probably a little bit overweight, even for a tall gal like yourself. Maybe you go on a diet, lose a little that way.
1:11:00 Caller Yeah, I also have a problem with that because I also gain and lose weight very frequently. Very often, I'll lose 10 pounds and then the next day, I'll gain it back.
1:11:11 Adam Do you have big parents?
1:11:13 Caller No, not at all.
1:11:15 Adam Really?
1:11:16 Caller Really, not at all.
1:11:18 Adam How do you get a daughter that's 6'1, 2'10? I mean, that's good junior college outside linebacker size.
1:11:24 System Of A Down Meteor fell in the backyard.
1:11:26 Caller My parents are radioactive.
1:11:27 Adam Small. Do you have brothers?
1:11:28 Drew That was dog doing.
1:11:29 System Of A Down No.
1:11:29 Adam Okay. Well, this may be a struggle for you there, Casey, but at 16, by the time you're 21, you could be 6'9, 355 or something.
1:11:41 Drew She's growing. She'll be 36 and she'll be 4'10.
1:11:45 Adam All I'm saying is maybe you should think about getting under 200. Just exercise and don't eat any junk. It's pretty basic. I mean, you know how to do that, right?
1:11:55 Drew Having a lot of sex works. No, honestly, it's a good cardio exercise.
1:12:00 System Of A Down Eat more often, less portions. That'll help you. Drink a lot of water.
1:12:04 Adam And easy on the baklava. And do you play any sports at school?
1:12:11 Caller Yeah.
1:12:12 Adam They recruit you for the volleyball or the basketball team?
1:12:15 Caller Well, I'm kind of like, I'm in between some team and cheerleading.
1:12:19 Drew Cheerleading?
1:12:19 Caller Yeah. So it's kind of off and on. Oh, okay.
1:12:22 Drew You must be pretty then.
1:12:24 Caller Huh?
1:12:24 Adam You must be pretty.
1:12:26 Caller Yeah.
1:12:26 Adam All right, good. All right, well, just don't eat too much. Drink a lot of water and get some exercise. Exercise, yeah.
1:12:31 Caller All right. I love you guys.
1:12:32 Adam You'll be fine.
1:12:32 Caller I love you, too. I'm listening to you. I'm seeing you right now.
1:12:36 Adam Oh, bring it. Awesome. Take care of there, Casey. I'm trucking in. I bet you wonder where we've been. This is my cheer. We're a team that can't be beat. Because we're funky on our feet. There's a whole move that goes along with that.
1:12:52 System Of A Down I remember David Alan Greer.
1:12:55 Adam Yeah, David Alan Greer is pretty, but he's like that sassy black cheerleader.
1:12:58 Caller See my finger, see my thumb, we got the ball, you better run. S-O-C-K-I-T, socket to me, baby, my head is aching, my hips are tight, my lips are shaking from left to right. One, two, three, four, five, cast, don't take no job. Six, seven, eight, nine, ten, come on back, we're gonna win, oh!
1:13:16 System Of A Down Go Lancers.
1:13:18 System Of A Down And then you like big women. And for the middle.
1:13:22 Adam Oh, yeah, yeah. David Alan Greer, really. He's hilarious, man. He does crank us up.
1:13:26 System Of A Down You know, someone brought up a term today that I have not heard in about two years of yours, recoculus.
1:13:34 Adam Oh, recoculus. Yeah. Reco-co-lu-us. Yeah, it's kind of recoc-co-lu-us.
1:13:39 Drew What does that mean?
1:13:40 Adam Well, it removes the dick from ridiculous and replaces it with recoc-co-lu-us.
1:13:45 Drew I never heard that word before.
1:13:46 Caller Yeah, all right.
1:13:47 Adam We got to take a little break. We'll be back.
1:13:50 Caller Hello, is this your radio? Love Line will be right back.
1:14:25 Hi, this is Matt Stone and Trey Parker from South Park and Baywatch. And you're listening to Loveline with Adam Corolla and Dr. Drew.
1:14:33 Hey, yo, Loveline. I'm Adam and Drew. Yeah.
1:14:37 Adam Phone number 1-800-LOVE-191. We got John and Shavo here from System Of A Down. Toxicities, the name of the CD. And let's get back to the phones and speak to Ryan who's 17. Ryan?
1:14:55 Caller Hi, I have a question for System Of A Down.
1:14:57 Adam Here they are.
1:14:59 Caller I live in the Clearwater, Tampa area. And you guys haven't played here for a while, since I moved down here. You had a few shows and they were canceled. I was just wondering if you guys had anything that was coming around here because I'd really like to see you guys.
1:15:13 System Of A Down Where do you live again? Tampa.
1:15:14 Caller Yeah, Tampa area.
1:15:15 System Of A Down No, last time we canceled because of the hurricane.
1:15:18 Caller Oh, there was a hurricane?
1:15:19 System Of A Down How dare you, John, how dare you?
1:15:21 Drew I know. Remember Hurricane George's? That was called?
1:15:25 System Of A Down George's?
1:15:25 Drew George's.
1:15:26 System Of A Down I think it was right next to Champagne. Anyway, we'll be out there probably in April. We're going to be doing a full North American tour as Spinal Tap, coined the phrase, and we will be out there.
1:15:39 Caller You can expect this. I'd like to say congratulations for being nominated for the Grammy.
1:15:44 System Of A Down Thank you.
1:15:45 Caller That's really great. I also named my cat Chop Suey.
1:15:49 System Of A Down That's awesome.
1:15:50 Caller So thanks for the music. I'm really glad. A lot of real fresh, none of the real like the new metal.
1:15:58 System Of A Down Thanks for not labeling us new metal.
1:16:01 Caller You're the bomb. As long as you guys are coming out with records, I'm going to be there every day.
1:16:06 Drew Thank you, man.
1:16:07 Caller The first day buying it because I'm all about you guys.
1:16:10 Drew As long as there's people like you, we'll be making records.
1:16:13 Adam I didn't know you guys got nominated for a Grammy.
1:16:15 Drew Yeah, we did.
1:16:16 Adam That must have been very recently. When do those Grammys come out?
1:16:20 Drew Monday? Monday.
1:16:21 Adam That's great. That's exciting.
1:16:23 Drew Best rock performance, I think.
1:16:25 Adam You want me to go with you? Please.
1:16:28 Drew I do need a date.
1:16:29 System Of A Down We're not actually sure that we're going to be able to go because we're going to be on tour.
1:16:32 Adam Well, let me go over there and pick it up for you because let me explain. First off, I could sing it, but here's what I'm saying.
1:16:47 System Of A Down Sing the Grammy.
1:16:48 Adam I went with the Dixie Chicks and won those bitches two Grammys. Two.
1:16:53 Drew You can get us two Grammys.
1:16:54 We're only nominated for one though.
1:16:56 Adam I could probably grab you two. They were only nominated for one too, but I grabbed one from Garth Brooks. I got them liquored up at the after-party and stole it from him.
1:17:05 Drew No, but I hope we get to go. I think they'll fly us in over there.
1:17:08 Adam All I'm saying is I've been to one Grammy's with one group, and that group walked with two.
1:17:15 Drew That's good.
1:17:15 Adam You should come with us. Just FYI.
1:17:17 System Of A Down You're the rabbit's foot.
1:17:18 Drew All right.
1:17:18 Adam You guys are interested in bringing home a little hardware. We should take some hardware with us. That's all.
1:17:25 Caller All right.
1:17:26 Caller All right.
1:17:27 Adam Let's talk to Anna who's 20. Anna?
1:17:30 Caller Hi.
1:17:31 Adam What's up?
1:17:33 Caller My question sounds a little strange. I'm seeing this therapist and I've been seeing her weekly for about two months. She's decided she wants me to get a psychological evaluation.
1:17:45 Caller Okay.
1:17:47 Caller I really don't want to. She's gotten to the point where she says she won't see me anymore unless I do.
1:17:53 System Of A Down Why don't you want to?
1:17:55 Caller Because I'm fairly certain with the reason she wants me to see they're going to say okay, she's in that, put her on medication. And I don't think that...
1:18:05 System Of A Down Well, there's a couple things.
1:18:06 Adam Drew, wait a minute. What do you do with a psychological evaluation?
1:18:10 System Of A Down It helps determine what's going on diagnostically so you can figure out what's...
1:18:14 Adam Yeah, but how does it go?
1:18:15 System Of A Down You just take a bunch of tests, you know, a bunch of questions or it seems sort of disconnected.
1:18:20 Adam Do you get angry or do you ever feel this way or that way?
1:18:24 System Of A Down Right. And listen, tests are not done to determine whether or not you are nuts and whether or not you're nuts has nothing to do with whether or not you need medication. So all these things are bizarre misconceptions on your part. So if your doctor feels they need some clarification of what's going on with you and you would like help, I can't imagine why you wouldn't do it.
1:18:45 Caller I worry later in life, right now I'm only 20. Oh, I bet you know that. I'd like to get into politics or be a police officer and I'm worried that if I'm actually diagnosed with something and they put me on medication.
1:18:57 System Of A Down They're already diagnosing you. I can guarantee you there's already a diagnosis written down. And in order for her to see you, she has to give a diagnosis.
1:19:07 Adam Yeah, but when she gets drunk she tells her friends.
1:19:10 System Of A Down Now for her to have a formal diagnosis, a thorough diagnosis, it needs to be done with psychological testing.
1:19:16 Adam Hey, but Anna, why are you seeing this woman in the first place? Is this your idea?
1:19:21 Caller Yeah, I've had a lot of crap in my life and she's just my outlet to vent.
1:19:25 Adam Alright, so you're going on your own accord and you have a good relationship with her?
1:19:28 Caller Oh, I think she's wonderful, she's the only therapist I've ever liked.
1:19:31 Adam And you trust her and obviously she's trying to do what's in your best interest.
1:19:36 Caller I feel like I'm setting myself up to fail though. The reason she wants me to see, she wants me to have a psychological exam is because I believe in, I don't know, it sounds silly, like supernatural, I believe that there are things beyond us. I have a hard time believing that once you're dead, that's it.
1:19:56 Adam Alright.
1:19:57 Caller And she says that I have, oh, how does she put it, perception problems.
1:20:03 Adam Yeah, what is it?
1:20:04 Caller She's worried that I'm going to hurt my child, which is completely ridiculous.
1:20:07 Caller What child?
1:20:09 Adam Do you have a child?
1:20:10 Caller Yeah, he's one.
1:20:11 Adam Okay. Where's daddy?
1:20:13 Caller Mine or his?
1:20:15 Adam His.
1:20:16 Caller I'm married. Right now, he has duty. He's on the ship.
1:20:20 Caller Okay. Alright.
1:20:21 Adam You sure law enforcement is a great angle for you?
1:20:25 Caller Oh, I would love it.
1:20:26 Adam You know, it's like you could shoot people without thinking about because they're all going somewhere according to you after you kill them. Do you know what I'm saying?
1:20:34 Caller I'm not a violent person at all. I like helping people. I spent my Christmas taking dinner and clothes to the homeless. I love helping people. I like to be in politics.
1:20:44 Adam All right, all right.
1:20:46 Drew But politics, politics, they don't really help people.
1:20:49 Adam It usually lighten people up. No. It's all about, you know, taking pictures with chrome hard hats on in front of dirt lots where they're building YMCAs. Hey, hey, Anna, I think you should listen to your therapist and do whatever she asks you to do and realize that your reticence about doing it may be part of the problem.
1:21:10 System Of A Down Part of the problem here. Absolutely.
1:21:14 Adam It's actually a test because my shrink did this too. He said, I'd like you to be formally evaluated. I said, when do we start? He said, you just passed, son. Sit back down. Then I defecated on the coffee table.
1:21:27 Drew Recalculated?
1:21:28 Adam I recalculated on it. But listen, if you tell somebody, hey, I think you ought to have an evaluation and they fight you, that means they failed the first question on the test. Do you know what I'm saying? It's like when a cop pulls you over and asks you if you think you need to take a breathalyzer and you take a swing at it.
1:21:47 Drew No way.
1:21:48 Adam Yeah, that's probably a good sign that maybe you've had a few belts that night. That's all I'm saying. Right. But listen, you could probably, you know, Anna, you could probably ace this test no prom. Just write the answers on your PG folder or something, you know?
1:22:03 Caller I don't want to have to lie.
1:22:05 Adam Answer C. Tell them.
1:22:06 Caller If they ask me, do you believe in ghosts? I'm going to tell them yes.
1:22:09 Adam Yeah, all right.
1:22:10 Caller They're going to laugh at me.
1:22:11 Drew No, they're not going to laugh at you.
1:22:13 Adam Listen, listen. Every black person believes in ghosts. Everyone who lives in the South believes in ghosts.
1:22:18 Caller I'm from BITCH!
1:22:18 Adam That doesn't mean you're not.
1:22:20 System Of A Down What's great about those tests is that they can detect when you're lying.
1:22:24 Caller Really?
1:22:24 System Of A Down Oh, absolutely.
1:22:25 Caller Yep.
1:22:26 System Of A Down And that will have meanings, special meanings, diagnostically, too.
1:22:30 Adam All right. All right there, Anna. Just go, listen, Anna, stop fighting with your shrinks. She wants you to do something, you do it.
1:22:36 System Of A Down Did they get in and out in there and not ask us if we wanted some?
1:22:39 Adam No big deal.
1:22:40 Drew What's in there?
1:22:41 Adam I think it's boxing out of there. We're looking into the studio now and apparently there's some food floating around.
1:22:47 System Of A Down That's in and out.
1:22:48 Adam You guys seriously went in and out after eating 70 pounds of Armenian food?
1:22:53 Drew Hey, we eat a lot. I mean, you can't tell by looking at me, but I eat like a beast.
1:22:59 Adam There is always room for a shake.
1:23:00 Drew You beast.
1:23:01 Caller Rawr. Rawr. Rawr.
1:23:06 Adam All right, Drew, let's get rid of Alex down here. He's going to hold for 74 minutes.
1:23:10 System Of A Down There's sort of no answer to that one.
1:23:11 Adam Alex, well, then let's just tell him there's no answer. Alex, you're 16?
1:23:16 Caller Yes, I am.
1:23:16 Drew No answer.
1:23:17 Adam You want to know what the hallucinogenic effects of nutmeg are?
1:23:21 Caller Yeah, one of my friends was talking about it and I was reading on the internet and you're supposed to, I mean, you're feeding up it. It's supposed to be, I don't know, you're supposed to hallucinate.
1:23:30 System Of A Down Yeah, the answer is yes, that's correct.
1:23:32 Drew Is it really?
1:23:33 Caller Yes.
1:23:34 Adam But if you eat it.
1:23:36 System Of A Down Yes, it's bad for you.
1:23:36 Adam It is? How much nutmeg you've got to eat?
1:23:39 System Of A Down I don't know. It's a lot, but you will get hallucinations.
1:23:41 Drew Is it true if you drink a whole bottle of Robitustin and you get high?
1:23:44 System Of A Down Yes.
1:23:45 Drew That's insane.
1:23:46 System Of A Down All right.
1:23:46 Adam Hey, Alex, you can't just go out and score some drugs. You got to eat 40 pounds of nutmeg to get a buzz.
1:23:52 System Of A Down It's the healthy choice.
1:23:53 Caller No, my logic for it was that if my parents find a bag of weed or something, they're going to freak out. But if I can explain the way nutmeg.
1:24:02 Adam Right, right, right.
1:24:04 System Of A Down What you got into a cooking class?
1:24:06 Adam You tell them you're cooking up some eggnogs in your room. That night, you needed to grate it on there.
1:24:11 Caller Not believable.
1:24:12 Adam All right. Hey, I don't know if you guys are hip to that, but fresh nutmeg grated over like a hot drink, like an eggnog, delightful.
1:24:22 Drew I've never had nutmeg.
1:24:23 Adam Delightful. I love it. You guys took us to an Armenian restaurant tonight. The next time we go out, we'll take you to our favorite nutmeg place.
1:24:33 Drew So we can all get stoned.
1:24:34 Adam White people just eat nutmeg. Like, Drew, where are you from? From Germany or something.
1:24:40 System Of A Down Russia.
1:24:40 Drew Yeah.
1:24:41 Adam All this Caucasian guys from-
1:24:44 Caller He's Russian.
1:24:46 Adam We all sit around and we eat nutmeg. Privet. All right. We're going to take ourselves a break. We're going to watch finally the System Of A Down.
1:24:55 System Of A Down We're going to world premiere it right now.
1:24:57 System Of A Down On Loveline.
1:24:58 Adam That's right. Then we'll come back and tell you how it was after this.
1:25:33 System Of A Down Hey, it's Loveline, I'm back, it's Dr. Drew. Adam is viewing, oh wait, there you are. I'm here with John from The System of a Down, and Adam and Shava are viewing a world premiere.
1:25:44 System Of A Down Yeah, right now we're in the middle of world premiering our video.
1:25:48 System Of A Down But listen, to just Adam, in fact.
1:25:50 System Of A Down There it is.
1:25:50 System Of A Down There's a question for you here from Elena, she's 14. Elena?
1:25:55 Caller Yeah?
1:25:55 System Of A Down Hello.
1:25:56 Caller Hi, oh my God, I love you guys.
1:25:59 Caller Thank you.
1:26:00 Caller I have a question. What do you classify your music under? Like, what is it?
1:26:05 System Of A Down That's not what it says up here on the screen.
1:26:07 System Of A Down Yeah, what's your real question?
1:26:09 Caller Yeah, I have another one. Like, before every show, you make fun of Darren for being a brain surgeon.
1:26:16 Caller What is that?
1:26:17 System Of A Down We do?
1:26:18 Caller What?
1:26:19 System Of A Down I don't remember ever doing that. How do you know about that anyway, even if we did do it?
1:26:22 Caller What happened? Yeah, I read it on the internet. You guys make fun of him for?
1:26:27 System Of A Down I think he made that joke, actually.
1:26:28 Caller Yeah?
1:26:29 System Of A Down Yeah, we don't do it before every show, but he probably said it one time, and I don't know.
1:26:34 Drew What joke?
1:26:35 System Of A Down He's not really a brain surgeon. He just plays one on TV.
1:26:37 Adam All right. Well, listen, I just got done watching the new System Of A Down video, and it really looked great. Yeah. Man, I mean, just look, it was so, it was really clean looking, very vibrant looking.
1:26:52 System Of A Down It's no downstairs upstairs, but it has qualities.
1:26:56 Adam What made it so, I guess, vibrant is a word that comes to mind. I mean, so clean, so sharp looking. Do you know what I'm saying?
1:27:05 Drew It's just the colors I had in my head. I see because once you film, there's a process you have to go through that I had no idea about, is the day after you film, you get all the footage you have and you have to go and color the footage. So I had to go in the studio and color 17,000 feet of film that we shot.
1:27:24 Adam What kind of film did you shoot it on?
1:27:26 Drew 35. Wow. But I colored it like, okay, I took all the blacks out of the white world. That's why it's so crisp and you see gold and white only. And then our blacks are just the clothes, you know, the clothes. Black world, I got all the whites. So it made the black more.
1:27:39 Adam Yeah, it's really, it's really, it's the contrast. Yeah. Yeah, it's really sharp looking.
1:27:45 Drew Because the song to me is black and white in my head. I just see it that way.
1:27:49 Adam Yeah, look great. So that's going to be on, like I said, on MTV, probably about the 15th. So you should definitely look out for that. Because it just looked great. And we saw it under not great conditions.
1:28:03 Drew My girlfriend was pressing the button every two seconds for the Panasonic signs to come off.
1:28:07 Adam All right. Let's get back and talk to, yeah, do we want to hear another song?
1:28:13 System Of A Down Oh yeah, we need to. We've only listened to one, right?
1:28:16 Drew Yeah.
1:28:16 Adam Yeah. What song do we want to hear?
1:28:18 Drew Deardance.
1:28:18 Adam Is that what it is?
1:28:19 System Of A Down Deardance, yeah.
1:28:20 Adam All right.
1:28:21 Caller All right. Yeah.
1:28:22 Adam You cued up there, Anderson? All right. Here's another one from System Of A Down. There you go, System Of A Down. Toxicity is the name of the CD. You guys get approached to do like soundtrack stuff?
1:31:31 Drew Actually, I have a story to say. Dude, I saw that movie, Not Another Team Movie, and our song is in there, and we never gave him the right. Well, you did?
1:31:39 System Of A Down Yeah, we did.
1:31:40 Adam You were stoned.
1:31:41 Drew I didn't know this.
1:31:41 System Of A Down Yeah, you did.
1:31:42 Drew I'm tripping. I'm watching.
1:31:43 System Of A Down John specifically gave it for you.
1:31:45 Drew What song?
1:31:45 Adam John already spent your money, so it's cool.
1:31:48 Drew I didn't know I did.
1:31:49 System Of A Down Yeah, you did. You knew. Just trust me.
1:31:52 Drew I didn't get paid for it.
1:31:54 System Of A Down Shav, trust me. You did. Shav, you know about it.
1:31:56 Caller I don't know about it.
1:31:57 Drew I never was told.
1:31:58 Adam You know what you did with your share of the money? You bought a bomb.
1:32:00 Caller No, I...
1:32:02 Adam And it's a baklava.
1:32:05 System Of A Down Shav, I know you know about it because I told you personally.
1:32:07 Drew I didn't know.
1:32:08 Adam Look, I'm with you. I don't know anything either.
1:32:11 Drew I was tripping. I'm watching a movie. I'm going, they didn't ask us for that. That's messed up. I got to go call my management. I'm going to call everybody.
1:32:17 Adam No, it's great because you get stoned and you get to enjoy things twice. Nutmeg. Movies, everything.
1:32:25 Drew My mom isn't listening, is she?
1:32:26 Adam All right.
1:32:27 System Of A Down Now she's not this late.
1:32:28 Drew Yeah, she is. Trust me.
1:32:30 System Of A Down Stacey, real quick. What's up, Stacey?
1:32:32 Adam You dyed your pubic hair pink?
1:32:34 Caller No, good. That's not true, but I'm actually 13.
1:32:39 System Of A Down You're 13.
1:32:39 Caller Yeah, and I just want to say, Darren, I love you and Shav, I love you too. Oh my God, you guys are like gods to me.
1:32:46 Adam Darren's not here, though, but he's probably listening.
1:32:48 System Of A Down I think this is the record for the number of bogus questions posed in order to get through to the band.
1:32:54 Adam Yeah. Like I said, you know you've arrived when every call on there is for System Of A Down, and then the ones that aren't for System Of A Down are bogus, and they're for System Of A Down.
1:33:04 Caller Yeah, I know.
1:33:06 Drew All right.
1:33:06 Caller Shav, we actually snuck into the pit at acoustic Christmas with my friend.
1:33:10 Drew You guys were in there?
1:33:12 Caller Hello?
1:33:12 Caller Hello.
1:33:13 Caller Yeah, and like we do this weird thing with the eyes, and you like lean back, and you play your bass. You know what I'm saying? All right.
1:33:20 System Of A Down See you, Stacey. We gotta run.
1:33:22 Caller Okay.
1:33:22 Adam All right, Stacey. He knows what he does, but he— Oh, my God!
1:33:26 Caller Somebody hold the phones!
1:33:27 Caller I can't believe that!
1:33:29 System Of A Down We need those guys back.
1:33:31 Adam Do you think he knows? He didn't know he got paid for the soundtrack for Not Another Teen Movie. You think he knows about the eye-rolling thing?
1:33:39 Drew Seriously, who told me about that? You did not.
1:33:41 System Of A Down I told you personally.
1:33:42 Drew I don't remember it. I thought Metro was on Dracula 2000. How did it go on two movies?
1:33:47 Adam Hold on. Let me talk to John for a second. After the break, I'm going to announce the Grammy nomination to Shavo. What?
1:33:52 Caller What did you say about the Grammy?
1:33:54 Adam Let's not give it away. No, it's not here. Oh, okay.
1:34:51 Caller Here, I'm going to pull up.
1:34:53 Adam That's it for the show, fellas. I want to thank Shavo and John for coming in here.
1:34:58 System Of A Down We're not leaving.
1:34:59 Drew We're not going anywhere.
1:35:00 System Of A Down You can sleep here tonight. The weekend, actually.
1:35:03 Adam We'll see you on Sunday.
1:35:05 System Of A Down Sing it for me.
1:35:07 Adam System Of A Down, everybody.
1:35:09 Drew Oh, yeah, by the way, you guys can go see us in Australia.
1:35:11 Adam All right, we'll be there.
1:35:13 Drew I heard it on the radio today.
1:35:15 Adam You just found out you're going to Australia.
1:35:17 System Of A Down You can win a Grammy on a Grammy.
1:35:18 Drew Tickets to a Grammy.
1:35:19 Adam Oh, yeah. Yeah.
1:35:20 Caller I'll see you.
1:35:20 Adam That's only for Tara. I'll see you cats at the Grammys. I want to thank Tara, Don't Call Me Tara, Goddamn, for doing a great job on the phones and Damien for doing a great job on the phones and producer and for doing a great job. And I want to thank Engineer Anderson for working a sweet, sweet magic behind the board.
1:35:42 Caller So until next time, I'm going to make love to you, woman, I'm going to lay down by the fire, caress your heavenly body.
1:35:52 Adam This is Adam Crawford, Dr. Drew saying Mahalo.
1:35:55 Drew System Of The Down.
1:35:57 Caller This has been Loveline. The opinions expressed on this show are not necessarily those of the staff, management, sponsors, or this station. The producer for Loveline is Ann Wilkins Engel. Loveline is a presentation of Westwood One Entertainment.
