You know, we're trying to do the Dragon Festival in the spring, and closer to the summer, we're trying to do our 420 Harvest Fest that we're doing at the Shrine this year, and then we're doing our smoke out. I reached into the purse, wasn't even looking, grabbed the first thing that came in a tube, filled the brush with it. And the great thing about the human mind is you refuse to believe it because you've decided it was toothpaste. It's going to take a lot to extinguish that thought. Yeah, you're going. Yeah, I'm brushing, I'm thinking, Jesus Christ, I don't know what, my mom's been to the health food store again, getting this crap. What is this crap? I'm brushing, I'm thinking, listen, no more with this. We're getting some god damn crest if it kills me. And then I'm starting to think, wait a minute, man, there's just no way. I don't care if this thing don't have any, you know, if it's all organic.

1:18:59 Caller Well, I have trouble sleeping. I've always had that, you know, kind of tired during the day. And then when it comes time to sleep, I can't sleep for anything.

1:19:08 Caller And one thing that I've noticed that happens once in a while is I'll have weird things when sleep does come around. Like one thing is I woke up one day and I was just staring at the bunk above me. And I started hearing voices in my head.

1:19:25 Adam Well, maybe that was your cellmate talking in his sleep.

1:19:29 Caller No, it was just a very small, small apartment.

1:19:33 Adam I see.

1:19:34 Caller But yeah, I started hearing them and I thought that was the strangest thing in the world. And I always thought that people just imagined that they heard them when they heard them. And then I figured it was just something like dreaming because I lucid dream whenever I realize I'm dreaming. And then I figured, okay, if I concentrate really hard, I make them say what I want them to and I did. And then eventually they went away and I thought that was kind of weird. And then there's been other times where I'll be conscious and then I'll feel my body kind of start to shut down and almost kind of like you're paralyzed and like something's pushing down on me.

1:20:07 Drew You ever had a seizure?

1:20:09 Caller Not to my knowledge. I've never been medically evaluated for anything like that.

1:20:14 Drew Well, you're just describing sleep disorder, sleep disturbances, and whether or not there's any seizure component to this or something more serious, you need to see somebody to have that checked out. But those sort of night terrors where you're locked in and can't move and even sort of hallucinatory episodes which really kind of dreamed episodes because you're profoundly sleep deprived most of the time.

1:20:35 Caller Yeah. I was thinking I had something to do with the insomnia.

1:20:38 Drew Yeah. So you need this all checked out to see if it can be treated.

1:20:41 Caller Now, once in a while when I just really need to sleep and it just bothered me, I take this stuff that you can buy over the counter called Simply Sleep. I don't know if you heard of it.

1:20:50 Caller It's called HCI in it. It's made by Tylenol. HCI? HCI, that's the initials for the drug counter.

1:20:58 Caller It just makes me feel tired and I'm able to go to sleep.

1:22:26 Drew I can describe that to you. The point being that you could easily, you could keep on going and you could need more and more to get more effect with time, but the lethal dose doesn't become, doesn't start going up with.

1:22:36 Adam So your body builds a tolerance up to it, but it still will kill you at 10.

1:22:41 Cypress Hill So you're not immune to it, you never become immune to it. You tolerate it, but don't become immune to it.

1:26:11 Drew We don't really know yet. I've certainly seen lots of problems with GHB. In fact, I've treated a number of Major League Baseball players. They've got a problem with Major League Baseball right now with GHB, and it certainly induces a manic depression, depressive-like syndrome, where people are completely out of it, very laid-back, very impulsive, very grandiose usually. What are they taking it for? I can't tell. I think they take it to sort of boost the growth hormone, which it does initially, and it gives them sort of a stimulant and euphoric effect. So it seems they perceive their enhanced performance.

1:26:46 Drew Then they just start taking it all the time. They're taking it throughout the day.

1:26:52 Drew They're just all the time. They can't go on four hours without it. They'll start withdrawing.

I just, I read something tonight that it was, there was a little debate about whether or not it was just political or whether or not it was actually based on an experience that B-Real had with his family.

I lived in Gardena, I think, in, I believe it was 89 or 90, somewhere around that time, and this dude broke in our home and he held my mother and my niece at Knife Point, tied me and my sister up and he, actually he was trying to rob a drug dealer who lived right across from us and he robbed the wrong apartment and he came into our house.

1:35:40 Cypress Hill Yeah. The guy, the guy was so like jacked up. He went into the wrong apartment. He was asking for this, somebody named Pebbles or something like that. And he came into the wrong apartment. And he was looking for the one across. Right. And, you know, he just came into the wrong place.

1:35:56 Adam Oh, man. That must have freaked you out.

1:35:58 Cypress Hill It did. I mean, it made me angry. I mean, I spent a lot of time looking for that guy in the, in the, in the institutional system because, you know, I had a lot of friends and everything. But fortunately, you know, I came to my senses and I just let it, let it, let it slide. And, you know, those are the things that I write about because of those experiences, man. They scar your brain and yeah, that was one thing, one way to get it out of my system, you know?

1:36:24 Adam Yeah, I mean, I mean, that's the kind of thing you can have, like, post-traumatic stress. So you should, you should. You're asleep with some guys on your back. I mean, it's probably good that you thought it was one of your friends. Oh, yeah. At least initially.

1:36:36 Cypress Hill Yeah, I mean, it was, it was, it was pretty messed up for a while on me. But, you know, I've been through so many crazy things that that was just one adding to many, you know?

1:36:46 Adam Well, for those of you who aren't from the Southern California area, Gardena should not have the word garden in it. Yeah. I worked at a, I used to work at a decorative box factory in Gardena. I rebuilt it during my construction days and I should have killed myself. I wish I would have jumped on me and killed me back then. But that, I hated that thinking Gardena. You don't still, no one lives there anymore, do they?

1:37:13 Cypress Hill I mean, I had a lot of good friends out there, but once that happened, I moved my family out there real quick.

1:38:27 Cypress Hill Yeah, for sure. I mean, when you come from nothing and you work that hard to get something, and you have it, it means more to you. You don't want to lose it, so you work harder to keep it. Right. I've never been a person to get complacent about anything or be satisfied. I'm always trying to keep moving forward with things.
