Listener discretion is advised. Adam Corolla and Dr. Drew.
1:10
Voiceover
Loveline, Coast to Coast.
1:14
Voiceover
It is the Loveline. I'm Adam Corolla, that's my partner over there, Dr. Drew. Phone number 1-800-LOVE-191. Dr. Drew is a board certified physician and addiction medicine specialist. And tonight our guest from Felicity, we have Amanda Foreman and Greg Grunberg. Sorry about that, Greg.
1:34
Guest
Or Grunberg, that's okay.
1:36
Adam
Oh, really, is it Grunberg?
1:37
Guest
It is Grunberg.
1:38
Adam
Well, I guess I knew a Grunberg, so I made it that way.
1:41
Guest
That's okay, whatever you want to call it.
1:42
Adam
I'm going to fix that so I don't mispronounce your name there again, Greg. Hey, how's it going? Good to see you again.
1:47
Guest
We're pleased to be here.
1:50
Adam
Once the last time you two were in here. And were you in here together?
1:54
Guest
No.
1:54
Adam
No.
1:55
Guest
No, separate.
1:55
Guest
I was in here by myself and I made you do the Dr. Drew rap. I made you play that and I made you do the whole bit about the Russian kid that you used to babysit.
2:04
Drew
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
2:06
Guest
Team, team, team.
2:07
Drew
The Russian, not the Russian kid you used to babysit, the Russian rapper.
2:10
Adam
We should score some holes. Team, the 13-year-old, 300-pound, white as a ghost, Russian rapper. Yes, yes, yes. Well, maybe we'll bring team out. The team, team, team, team. We'll bring a team out before the show is out. And maybe also hear a little Dr. Drew boogie, maybe even some Dr. Drew shuffle. That'd be great. That'd be great.
2:37
Guest
I'm a fan.
2:38
Adam
What year are we on Felicity-wise? Fourth, fifth? Fourth. Fourth.
2:42
Guest
Well, we're going indoor if we get picked up.
2:46
Guest
We're airing our third currently.
2:48
Adam
And what's it look like on the pickup?
2:50
Guest
It looks good.
2:51
Drew
Oh, that's a sure thing.
2:52
Guest
Yeah, it looks pretty good.
2:53
Guest
It's not a sure thing. Unless I'm standing on the set and the first check is in my bank account.
2:56
Drew
For you it's not a sure thing. For the America it's a sure thing.
3:00
Guest
I would think so.
3:01
Guest
I hope so.
3:02
Guest
They just lost.
3:02
Drew
You know what I mean? If you're involved in something, you gotta be doing it before it's a sure thing. I don't mean you specifically, it's not a sure thing.
3:07
Adam
One does, yeah.
3:08
Drew
One has to be doing it.
3:10
Adam
Do you want to go back?
3:11
Guest
Oh, I'm gonna ride that horse until it drops. Oh yeah. You kidding me? We're having a great time.
3:17
Guest
Yeah, it's really fun.
3:18
Guest
It's sick money, Adam. Sick money.
3:20
Adam
Yeah, I know. And it's not too, I mean, it's a long day, but the work's not that hard, right?
3:25
Guest
No, plus the show's not called Meghan and it's not called Sean.
3:28
Adam
Right.
3:29
Guest
So we're in there four out of the eight days that we shoot.
3:32
Guest
Right. It's great. Everybody that we work with is really...
3:35
Drew
I feel a diatribe coming on.
3:37
Adam
What is a typical...
3:39
Drew
Exactly. He talks about the money that he used to think people made when they talked about sick money. The real, the actual sick money is...
3:45
Guest
Yeah, we don't make sick money.
3:46
Adam
We don't.
3:46
Drew
I was kidding.
3:48
Adam
But what is like a normal working day on days where you're shooting?
3:52
Guest
Twelve hours.
3:53
Adam
Yeah. And, but run a story. You get there early, six, seven a.m. It depends on how many scenes you have in the day.
3:59
Drew
Somebody makes omelets for you?
4:01
Guest
Yeah, somebody makes a breakfast burrito for you. You get there. Right. I take about an hour and a half in makeup because I'm a girl and I wear a lot of makeup. And Greg takes about fifteen minutes.
4:10
Drew
But they still make Greg get there when you get there. So he sits, has breakfast, waits an hour and a half. No.
4:15
Guest
No, I get there about... No, I get there about half an hour after.
4:17
Guest
After me and...
4:18
Guest
And whatever makeup's left over, which is usually not that much, they give to me.
4:22
Adam
And then it's to the trailer or to the set?
4:24
Guest
I can't hang out my trailer. I just don't do it. It's too claustrophobic for me. I can't, you know... Where do you film?
4:30
Adam
You got to get in a Coke, by the way. I go take a nap.
4:32
Guest
I know.
4:32
Adam
That'll keep you in there.
4:33
Guest
That's true. That's true. But then, yeah, we go in, we do a little rehearsal.
4:37
Adam
Right.
4:37
Guest
Camera blocking. And then we hang around until they set up the lights and stuff.
4:40
Drew
Another four hours.
4:41
Guest
Another four hours. And another omelet. Right.
4:43
Drew
For me.
4:44
Adam
Right.
4:44
Drew
Then a break for the lunch.
4:46
Adam
Yes. Well, you don't want to go into meal penalty.
4:48
Drew
That's true.
4:49
Adam
That's true.
4:50
Guest
They get us out early.
4:51
Yeah.
4:51
Guest
And then we do a little bit of filming during the day.
4:54
Yeah.
4:54
Adam
I mean, I mean, out of a, and you're there for 10 or 12 hours, right?
4:57
Yeah.
4:57
Adam
Right.
4:58
Sometimes more.
4:59
Adam
Probably filming for an hour of that time. Maybe two.
5:03
Guest
Maybe two. Yeah. Just about two. For about five minutes of screen time.
5:08
Adam
Yeah. But the thing that I like about your gig is you can go back to the trailer or go back to the omelet bar. Just tell them to call you when they're ready. Totally.
5:18
Guest
Absolutely.
5:18
Adam
And if something falls apart, if the script isn't right, if something's not right, if there's a breakdown in a piece of equipment, none of your business.
5:26
Guest
None of my business.
5:27
Adam
It's all somebody else's gig.
5:28
Guest
Especially as an actor. It's never your fault.
5:30
Adam
Yeah.
5:30
Guest
You're always blaming others. If they get the omelet wrong, I can throw a fit.
5:34
Adam
Right. And now, are you bringing a material home, the script home, that night and really working it out, or you just figure your work that beats out when you get there?
5:42
Guest
I work it out the night before. Otherwise, it's a disaster. Really? I get nervous and I don't know what I'm doing. I just fall apart.
5:49
Adam
You can't...
5:50
Guest
I can't do it. Some people are best that way. I can't do it.
5:53
Adam
Yeah. Greg, what about you?
5:54
Guest
It's pretty important on our show to stick to the script. It's not like, you know, whose line is it anyway? I mean, we got a script and we really got to know what we're doing. So...
6:02
Drew
You are head of a business.
6:02
Guest
What a great reference, by the way.
6:03
Drew
What's that? You were going to develop a business in your original life.
6:06
Guest
Yes. Oh, yeah.
6:07
Guest
No.
6:07
Guest
Yogurt Runners was a big business I had in LA.
6:09
Drew
You used to deliver yogurt. That's a good business. And you had an idea of dispensing machines for instant cameras.
6:15
Guest
Yeah. I still own ten cameras.
6:17
Drew
That's a great idea.
6:19
Guest
In Japan, apparently, you get off in the subway and there's just like a hundred of those camera machines. So I had deals. I was trying to get the Burbank Airport. I had Maternity War waiting rooms. Oh, yeah. You know, you need film, you need camera.
6:31
Adam
I still have these machines.
6:32
Guest
By the way, anybody wants to buy the machines, they're for sale. I can't get rid of them. I don't have time to service them and do them. They're beautiful.
6:38
Adam
Don't you have some sort of flunky brother or nephew or something?
6:42
Guest
I have a flunky brother.
6:43
Adam
Yeah, all actors have flunky brothers.
6:45
Guest
No, no, I have a great, very talented brother. I have a friend that I was in business with, but he's been successful in another business, so...
6:51
Adam
Who?
6:53
Guest
Who?
6:53
Drew
Dave.
6:54
Guest
Dave is my partner in the camera vending machine business. You've got some spare time, man.
6:58
Adam
I do. I like to man some of those vending machines.
7:01
Drew
This would have been Uncle Lou's break for you.
7:04
Adam
Yeah, growing up, I would have liked to have known a guy who was an entrepreneur who had something, just some crappy job in front of the sleep my way.
7:12
Drew
Camera, camera, machine servicing.
7:14
Adam
Yeah, I think I could have handled that.
7:15
Guest
Well, all of my out of work actor friends were selling yogurt in the afternoons to all the agencies. That's what worked.
7:20
Adam
No, how did that one work?
7:22
Drew
There was a number of those yogurt delivery services around, right?
7:25
Guest
Only mine.
7:25
Drew
What?
7:26
Guest
Oh yeah, frozen yogurt. I would pack it up into these cups.
7:29
Drew
It was at California.
7:30
Guest
That's my company.
7:31
Drew
Really?
7:31
Guest
Where were you? Where were you where we came to your office where you know?
7:34
Drew
In the Huntington Hospital, Pasadena.
7:36
Guest
Oh yeah, we sold in the... In the cafeteria.
7:38
Drew
And then I was at Warner Brothers one time at the...
7:41
Guest
And the guys came...
7:42
Drew
.the television distribution. The people like flocked out of the office. The yogurt guys here. Yeah. What the hell is that?
7:47
Guest
Yeah, it's pre-packed in a cooler on a cart and these guys would wear aprons and green hats and say, yogurt runners, and they'd go in, like they'd go to like an agency like CAA, very famous, whatever, and they'd go to the mezzanine level and everybody would get on their computer and say, yogurt is here. They'd send their assistance down. We'd sell 80 yogurts in five minutes. The person would get back in their car and go over to ICM.
8:05
Drew
I was in a hospital, I ate it every day.
8:08
Adam
Where were they fill up on, where were they, where was the main yogurt distribution center?
8:13
Guest
Believe it or not, in Watts, I took over an old Popsicle factory that was there and just started pumping out the yogurt. So I would drive there early in the morning. I would not stop, I'd just keep driving. And I'd get there and...
8:24
Drew
Amanda apparently didn't know this about you.
8:26
She didn't know anything.
8:27
Guest
Well, this was before, you know, I was actually working.
8:30
Adam
Were you making some coin doing that?
8:32
Guest
Yeah, it was great. So many friends too. I mean, they were working. You can only sell, you don't sell yogurt in the mornings. You sell in the afternoons between two and five. So it's a great job for an actor who can audition in the morning.
8:42
Drew
I wonder what the hell happened. It was good yogurt.
8:44
Guest
It was really great. But it's very tough to keep these people, you know, the salesman, the sales people.
8:49
Adam
Well, good yogurt guys.
8:52
Guest
Exactly.
8:53
Adam
You're climbing that yogurt ladder. You're moving up it pretty quick.
8:56
Guest
Well, here's a very quick story. This is just to tell you the mentality of these people. I'm driving somebody and I was just about to drop him off and he bumped his head before he got in the car and I looked back and he's screaming. He's got the dry ice held up on his head to try and stuck to his head. Yeah. So this is the type of person that was working for me.
9:13
Adam
Drew, just a quick safety tip. If you get dry ice stuck to your skin, you just dump water on it.
9:20
Drew
That's what I would think you do.
9:21
Adam
Would that be the way to get it off?
9:22
Guest
It wasn't. Well, it was wrapped in a brown bag so he was able to pull it off. But it was like when I was watching a Jim Carrey movie where his tongue was stuck to the thing.
9:32
Adam
Judith. Judith. Caller goes by the name of Judith.
9:37
Drew
From Austin, Texas, who's 18.
9:40
Adam
No. We got a full moon tonight, Drew. So you know what that means. We've got to be very careful.
9:45
Guest
Why is the moon full? Shouldn't it be full in the half, you know, halfway through the month? Am I dumb?
9:49
Adam
Don't care.
9:50
Guest
Don't look at me like I'm dumb.
9:52
Adam
Sandy, you're 31. What's up?
9:56
Caller
I have this problem. Me and my fancy have been together two years. And in the beginning of our relationship, I would project outcome to the point where we would soak our bed.
10:09
Adam
Nice.
10:10
Caller
And for the past five months, I can feel the pleasure like I want to come.
10:16
Adam
Right.
10:17
Caller
But I can't actually come.
10:19
Drew
Are you on medication?
10:21
Caller
Yeah.
10:21
Drew
That's what's doing it. You on Zoloft or Paxil or something? Prozac?
10:25
Caller
I'm on Xanax.
10:27
Drew
Well, Xanax can do it. You want to be on pretty good size doses, like three milligrams a day, something like that. Yeah. By the way, that's a huge dose.
10:35
Adam
Yeah. Why are you on so much?
10:37
Caller
Because I'm bipolar.
10:39
Adam
All right.
10:39
Drew
What else are you on for your bipolarity?
10:41
Caller
Lithium.
10:42
Drew
And nothing else?
10:43
No.
10:44
Drew
All right. Well, that's probably where your problem is.
10:46
Adam
Well, so hold on. I want to get back to the projectile orgasm.
10:51
Yeah.
10:52
Drew
I bet you it was manic.
10:53
Adam
It wasn't urine, though, right?
10:55
Caller
No, it was not. We actually videotaped it because we wanted to see. Sure. It was incredible.
11:02
Drew
You want to share it with others?
11:05
Adam
In the name of science.
11:06
Drew
Share the bounty.
11:07
Adam
And internet porn.
11:08
Guest
America's funniest own videos. Yeah.
11:12
Adam
I wonder what the sound effect would sound like.
11:14
Caller
The doctor told me it was normal. He said it was like one in every 10,000 women that could do this.
11:20
Adam
Who said this? Hold on. Drew, will you shut up? Your doctor told you that?
11:25
Caller
Yeah.
11:25
Drew
It's more common than that. And suddenly I've got the Benny Hill music.
11:28
Adam
Did you take a nap today, Drew? What happened to you?
11:30
Drew
Why?
11:31
Adam
I like your normal self, where you drag your ass in here, plop down, and sort of prop your chin up against the mic and try to catch a few scenes.
11:39
Drew
I'm still in a hive from last night. That was a good show.
11:41
Adam
You're really moving.
11:42
Guest
I had a good show last night.
11:43
Drew
Don't you have the Benny Hill music still here? We had a good couple of gynecologists in here with a good show.
11:47
Guest
Oh, jeez. Yeah, it sounds like fun.
11:49
Adam
Sandy?
11:50
Drew
Yeah?
11:50
Adam
So, in your life, have you had orgasms without the projectile orgasm? Yes? Okay, hold on a second. It's going to be a real long night. I don't know what it is, and I think it's the full moon. It's everyone is talking sort of simultaneously, but no one's being rude. It's just there's something about it. She's answering me before I'm done asking the question. I can't hear what she's saying. Sandy?
12:18
Caller
Yeah.
12:18
Adam
So, can you answer that question?
12:21
Caller
Can you repeat the question?
12:23
Adam
Okay, but you have to be quiet.
12:24
Caller
I will.
12:26
Adam
Are you able to have, or were you able to have, the orgasm without the projectile orgasm?
12:33
Caller
No.
12:34
Adam
So, they were all projectile orgasms?
12:36
Caller
Yeah.
12:37
Adam
And it's been that way your whole life?
12:39
Caller
Yeah.
12:40
Adam
I see. And what about when you're alone? Can you bring yourself to orgasm?
12:44
Caller
No.
12:45
Drew
Never.
12:46
Adam
So, this is, and this coincides with the medication you're on, right?
12:52
Caller
I would assume.
12:54
Adam
Alright. So, okay. So, what should she do?
12:57
Drew
You gotta talk to the doctor who's prescribing the medicine. That's a huge dose of Vanax. There may be something else that can give you, that is not a typical side effect of the Xanax, but it certainly could be in those doses, alright?
13:06
Caller
Okay.
13:07
Adam
Did you ever get your fiancé in the face?
13:10
Caller
Yes.
13:11
Adam
Yeah?
13:12
Caller
Yes. There's one more thing I want to ask you. Yeah? Out of the percentage of women, how, is that normal?
13:20
Drew
Yes, it's normal. We figure out 5%, something like that.
13:23
Adam
Somewhere in there.
13:24
Guest
Can projectile?
13:25
Drew
It's not 1 in 10,000, it's a lot more common than that.
13:27
Caller
That is not urine then, that is common.
13:29
Drew
There is such a thing as urine too, but no, it's not urine.
13:32
Caller
Okay.
13:33
Guest
She could make a lot of money at the county fair.
13:36
Adam
Yeah, they have those booze, yeah, sure. Alright, Sandy, good times.
13:40
Caller
Okay, thank you.
13:41
Adam
Talk to your doctor. There you go.
13:43
Drew
Which booze do you talk about, don't we?
13:46
Guest
Yeah, she could like fill up the balloon. Yeah, she wouldn't need the gun.
13:48
Adam
Right in the clown's face, right? Drew, I think you kind of burst her bubble with the, she was kind of clinging to that one in 10,000 thing.
13:56
Drew
She wanted to be special.
13:57
Adam
Brittany?
13:58
Caller
Yeah.
13:58
Adam
You're 15?
13:59
Caller
Yeah.
14:00
Adam
What's up?
14:02
Guest
Well, I like this guy and he's 17, turning 18 in September and we've been friends for about five months and I want to go out with him but my mom thinks he's too old and it's too big of an age difference and stuff but we want to know what Dr. Drew thinks.
14:18
Drew
When did you turn 15?
14:20
I turned 15 in February.
14:22
Drew
Yeah, that's a pretty substantial age difference.
14:24
Adam
And when you say we, do you mean you and your mom?
14:27
Guest
Yeah.
14:28
Drew
Really?
14:28
Adam
Is your mom listening?
14:29
Guest
Yes, she is.
14:30
Adam
Oh my god.
14:31
Drew
How did you get to know this guy?
14:34
Guest
Through my friends.
14:35
Drew
Older friends?
14:36
Guest
No, same age.
14:39
Drew
Why is he hanging around with 15 year olds?
14:41
Guest
I don't know.
14:42
Drew
Yeah, what's going to happen, Brittany, the strange thing about life is you're going to turn 18 and look back and go, oh my god, that guy would hang around with 15 year olds. What a loser.
14:52
Adam
Well, wait a minute. Let's talk about grades.
14:53
Guest
Yeah, I don't even like that.
14:54
Adam
Let's talk. What grade are you in?
14:57
Guest
I'm in the ninth.
14:58
Adam
And is he a senior?
14:59
Guest
Yeah.
15:00
Adam
Nope. Your mom may have a point here. See, here's what I will do. I will shave six months to a year off if they can meet toward the middle in the grade department.
15:10
Drew
Oh, yeah.
15:11
Adam
Somebody who's 15 could be in the 10th grade. This guy could have flunked the grade or whatever. He could be a senior and she could be in the 10th grade. I would go along with that.
15:19
Drew
Almost.
15:20
Adam
Ninth and senior is tough, especially with me, because I'm old school and my school went to ninth grade and then you went to high school. So there's a big cutoff between the ninth grade and the seniors. But as I've said many times on the show, I wonder about the wisdom of taking now the ninth graders and putting them in high school, because everyone in the same high school is fair game. I will think about it.
15:43
Drew
I think the freshmen though are dealt with as younger, really substantial.
15:46
Adam
But nowhere near when they were in junior high.
15:50
Drew
That's true.
15:50
Adam
I mean when you're all attending the same high school, it's game on.
15:54
Drew
And I'm willing to bet that this friendship you had with him was him really trying to get somewhere with you.
15:58
Guest
Does he want to go out with you? Did you ask him?
16:00
Drew
Yeah. This is what the friendship's been about, I guarantee you.
16:03
Guest
Oh jeez.
16:04
Drew
I guarantee you.
16:05
Adam
Five months though?
16:06
Guest
That's a long time.
16:07
Guest
Are you hot?
16:07
Drew
A friendship, Adam? A friendship with an 18-year-old, 15-year-old? What is he doing?
16:11
Guest
Are you really hot? Do you watch Felicity? Yeah. Oh cool.
16:16
Drew
What do you think about it? What do you think he's up to?
16:18
Adam
He probably is trying to get in her pants.
16:21
Guest
Are you hot?
16:21
Adam
Sorry mom.
16:22
Guest
Greg, you're married.
16:23
Adam
Okay, Brittany.
16:24
Guest
Yeah.
16:25
Drew
This is not a good thing.
16:25
Adam
How does a guy wear his hair? Because this could be the deciding vote. He doesn't wear the mullet or the fade.
16:30
Guest
Does he carry a comb in the back pocket?
16:32
He spikes it.
16:34
Adam
He spikes it. Yeah, young punk.
16:36
Guest
He's trying to look younger than he is.
16:39
Adam
He's got a good agent. What is he into? What are his hobbies or his sports?
16:45
Guest
He plays football and hangs out with his friends.
16:50
Adam
Oh, hangs out with his friends.
16:52
Guest
Hold on, my mom wants to talk to you.
16:53
Adam
Yes, we'd like to talk to her.
16:56
Guest
Hello.
16:56
Adam
Hello, Brittany's mom.
16:58
Caller
Hello, my name is Carrie. Hi, Carrie. Basically, this guy is a really nice guy.
17:04
Caller
He's a good kid.
17:06
Caller
He gets good grades. He gets along well with his mom. He's involved in school. He's got a job. It's just, I mean, he's focused, you know, but my worry is that he's going to be leaving high school and starting a new life.
17:22
Drew
Where is he going?
17:23
Adam
Junior college down the street.
17:24
Caller
He's going to college. Where? Locally in Long Beach.
17:28
Adam
There you go. Junior college, right?
17:31
Guest
Junior college.
17:33
Adam
What kind of student could he be? He must be quite a student to make it in a junior college.
17:37
Drew
You were selling him to us. Now it's gone.
17:40
Adam
It's tough. You know, the admissions for junior college, you have to live in the United States, for instance.
17:44
Drew
That's true. You have to line up.
17:45
Adam
Very true. $8 a semester.
17:48
Cut the fourth guy a break.
17:50
Caller
But my concern basically is the age difference. I mean, her biggest worry is, you know, what am I going to wear to the next football game? And he's worried about college.
17:59
Drew
Yeah, no, this is not... You've almost sold him in terms of him being a decent guy, but he really is not... They're in different places in their lives. It's... These things...
18:08
Adam
All right, but he ain't...
18:09
Drew
Not great for your daughter.
18:10
Adam
It's not like he's going off to Stanford to go to college. He's going up the street. He's not going anywhere, really, is he?
18:17
Guest
In 10 years, this age difference won't matter. My parents are 10 years apart.
18:20
Drew
Of course not, of course not, but at this age, it makes a big difference.
18:23
Adam
And now, what about your daughter, Brittany? I mean, she's not dating other boys?
18:30
Guest
No, she's not.
18:31
Drew
Tell her to think about what it would be like to date a 12-year-old.
18:33
Adam
Oh, that's unfair.
18:35
Drew
Not fair, not unfair.
18:37
Adam
Yes, that's different.
18:38
Drew
No.
18:39
Adam
Hold on a second. Hold on, let me yell it through. How dare you?
18:42
Drew
That is not different.
18:43
Adam
Listen, this guy.
18:44
Drew
You think this is dog years or something? It starts accelerating as they get older?
18:48
Adam
Drew, you can't make that argument. First off, you're talking about a child at 12, pre-puberty.
18:54
Drew
Not necessarily. At 12. Not necessarily.
18:56
Adam
All right. Listen, retard. We all know that women mature faster than men. This guy's got spiked hair and he's going to junior college. Emotionally, he's probably 15 and a half or 16. There are many women that are further along and more mature than guys at 15 than they are at 18. Than a guy at 18. This is not like her dating a 12 year old. That's a different situation.
19:20
Drew
But the maturity that the women are manifesting are different than the...
19:24
Adam
Okay. Well, listen.
19:25
Drew
The place that these older men are in. I agree.
19:27
Adam
Listen, let's just wrap her in foam rubber and put her in the basement. All right.
19:32
Drew
Hook her up.
19:32
Adam
This is a breathing apparatus and we'll feed her through a tube.
19:36
Drew
Agreed.
19:37
Adam
Okay. All right. Listen, I think you have a good dialogue with your daughter.
19:41
Drew
Yeah, that's good.
19:42
Adam
And we applaud that.
19:43
Drew
Yeah.
19:44
Adam
We're not actually going to applaud, but we applaud it.
19:46
Drew
Spiritually.
19:47
Adam
Spiritually applaud the dialogue that you have with your daughter. I don't know. She sounds pretty mature.
19:52
Caller
She's very mature.
19:54
Adam
Maybe it's time for her to fly the nest just a little bit.
19:58
Drew
Oh, I don't trust this guy.
19:59
Caller
No offense, Adam, but I really wanted Dr. Drew to listen.
20:03
I got a bad feeling about the guy.
20:05
Adam
Jesus Christ, his dad bought him an education and he's a genius. Come on.
20:11
Drew
I got a bad feeling about the guy.
20:12
Adam
Really bad feeling? Oh, Drew heard junior college and that was it.
20:16
Drew
That was strike three.
20:19
Adam
The guy's been hanging around for five months. He hasn't laid a hand on her. Bad feeling about the guy?
20:23
Drew
Adam, how many times were you detailing vans and mowing lawn with a whole plan in your head? None of you would have been given half a chance if they held still. God knows what happened.
20:33
Adam
My plan was to cry and masturbate simultaneously and I achieved it just last year.
20:39
Guest
If this guy wants to take care of some vending machines for me, that might work.
20:43
Adam
Listen, you got to give her a little space to grow there, though, mama.
20:49
Drew
I actually want to date the guy. I can't object to that, but this is her boyfriend. What do you think she's talking about?
20:53
Adam
Filming a sex act?
20:55
Drew
I'm just going to get going with him as a boyfriend.
20:57
Adam
On the other hand, mom is going to give her an eating disorder. Not at this age. Never in too close. All right. Let's take ourselves a little break. How about that? When we come back, we're going to speak to Tanya. No. No? We'll speak to Charlie. His friends make fun of him because he wipes his ass between his legs. Oh my God. What? Isn't that where your ass is? It's between your legs.
21:24
Drew
It's between yours, maybe. All right.
21:26
Adam
We'll get to the bottom of Charlie after this.
21:32
Loveline with Adam Corolla and Dr. Drew.
21:34
1812. What's up, everybody?
21:41
This is Chester.
21:43
Caller
And this is Brad from Linkin Park.
21:45
And you're listening to the amazing Adam Corolla.
21:47
And Dr. Spru.
21:49
On Loveline.
21:52
Adam
Yes, it is. Dr. Spru over there. Phone number 1-800-L-O-V-E-1-9-1, Amanda Foreman and Greg Grunberg are both here tonight. From Felicity, everybody. Nine o'clock, W-W-W-W-W-B, Wednesday nights. And when we left off, we were gonna talk to Charlie.
22:14
Guest
Wipes between his legs.
22:15
Adam
Who is 22.
22:17
Guest
Hello.
22:17
Adam
Do your friends make fun of you?
22:19
Caller
Yes.
22:20
Adam
Because you wipe your ass between your legs?
22:24
Caller
That's right, Adam.
22:25
Guest
From the front, from the front, I bet.
22:27
Caller
Right, from the front.
22:27
Guest
See? Like a girl.
22:28
Drew
That's what it is.
22:29
Caller
Right.
22:30
Adam
You mean when you're on the toilet, you're going number two?
22:33
Caller
When I'm finished number two.
22:35
Adam
Yeah, right.
22:35
Drew
I mean, you're done. How nice to have friends.
22:36
Adam
Sorry, I didn't make that point.
22:37
Guest
How do they know?
22:38
Drew
They're nice to stand around and watch and take notes.
22:41
Caller
Wipe your ass.
22:42
Adam
Go ahead.
22:43
Caller
I was reliving the glory of a duke that was just excellent. I was just talking about it with my buddies, and it slipped out that I wipe between my legs, and ever since, man, they've just been teasing me about wiping between my legs, and I've been joking around about calling the show. They're like, call, call, call, ask Adam. So what do you think about that, Adam?
23:05
Adam
Well, I don't agree with it, but I want to do a little investigation here.
23:11
Drew
Does it go into one of your aptitude tests?
23:13
Adam
Were you raised? No. Were you raised by women?
23:16
Caller
I was raised by a single mother.
23:18
Adam
Interesting. So no father figure around?
23:23
Caller
Stepdad.
23:24
Adam
I see. What's he like? He wasn't around during the wiping phase, right?
23:28
Caller
Uh, not really. Probably from when I was like four years old.
23:32
Adam
Yeah. See, you can tell your kid, you can teach your kid how to tie a bow in a screwed up fashion, like my dad learned, where he ties half a bow and then he takes the other one and he actually threads it through. This is some bizarre retarded thing that only Corollas could think to do because they had to figure out a way to take an hour to do everything. And he's 70 years old. He still ties a bow like a retard, you know? So if somebody screws you up early, your mom could have given you a little potty training, taught you the reach-through technique and then that's it. You're in.
24:06
Caller
I think that the reach-through technique is a little better because the angle of attack there is a little better, you know? But when you go around the back, it's too far.
24:14
Guest
Yeah, he's lazy. That's what it is.
24:16
Guest
But aren't you afraid you're going to hit something vital with the toilet paper when you're coming back through?
24:21
Adam
There you go.
24:22
Caller
Well, actually, I'm worried that I might wipe some on my shirt or something and not know about it.
24:26
Guest
Your shirt?
24:27
Guest
From behind?
24:27
Caller
I don't know.
24:28
Adam
Oh, you mean from behind?
24:29
Guest
There's other stuff in the way before you hit your shirt, isn't there?
24:31
Caller
I think it's from behind.
24:33
Guest
Oh, from behind, you're afraid you're going to hit your shirt.
24:35
Adam
Right. It's semi-fouled.
24:38
Caller
It's plausible. I can never know.
24:40
Drew
What has become of my life?
24:41
Adam
I don't know. I'm trying to think. See, yeah, hold on. Why not go forward? Why not go forward?
24:49
Guest
That's a good question, actually.
24:50
Adam
Yeah. I mean, I can think of a real compelling argument not to go forward.
24:55
Guest
Well, for girls, you shouldn't, because you can get bacteria.
24:57
Drew
Girls only go forward between the legs for urine anyway.
24:59
Adam
Right.
25:00
Drew
All right, but never, all humans should go from...
25:03
Adam
Why should we go that way? I mean, I go that way, but why? You know?
25:08
Guest
I think because you might get something that's kind of gross.
25:10
Drew
You're going to drag the duke across your nuts on your way back across.
25:14
Adam
Well, you just drag it up your back.
25:16
Guest
You don't have to drag it up your back.
25:17
Adam
Well, why not?
25:18
Drew
There's nothing that varies its sort of location quite as...
25:22
Adam
Yeah, but you're nuts. You don't find your nuts for a good three, four inches.
25:26
Guest
Yeah, you're going to have a lot.
25:28
Adam
You got it by then. Right. Otherwise, it's coming out your pants and going up your spine, you know?
25:33
Guest
But you can lift your shirt up a lot more easily than you can lift your nuts.
25:36
Drew
Your nuts get in the way.
25:38
Adam
Yeah, I don't know.
25:39
They got to find their own.
25:41
Adam
I don't know. I think Greg's on board with this, too.
25:43
Guest
Yeah, I think you're right. I think, well, if you do it from the front, you got to use two hands.
25:47
Adam
Why don't you all go check?
25:48
Guest
You got to raise the nuts, right, and wipe in front, right?
25:52
Drew
Now I got a disc that goes out my back right then.
25:54
Guest
Right?
25:55
Adam
Yeah, I'm trying to think.
25:56
Guest
I'm just thinking.
25:57
Adam
Yeah, you don't get that big lean.
26:00
Guest
Yeah, exactly.
26:01
Adam
And if, you know, if you're a heavy set dude, that's going to make a difference.
26:05
Drew
What has happened to my life?
26:06
Adam
All right.
26:06
Guest
Can I ask something? To little boys, is it true that, like, their moms have to wipe them for kind of a good number of years? Like, I've been at my friends' homes.
26:14
Drew
Same number of years as a girl.
26:15
Adam
My dad's, too.
26:16
Drew
Same as a girl.
26:16
Guest
Really? How old is that? Because my friend has a little boy who's five.
26:21
Drew
No, no, no, no.
26:21
Guest
Who goes, Mom, I'm done.
26:23
Guest
And she comes in and wipes him.
26:25
Drew
No, no, no.
26:26
Guest
At that point, you got to encourage them to wipe themselves.
26:28
Adam
Yeah.
26:29
Drew
There's tons of parenting that is an issue of the parent, not the child. It's like parenting is about getting them individuated, helping them.
26:39
Adam
I'll tell you, Drew, how about that bidet toilet seat I got? That'd be good for a kid, wouldn't it?
26:44
Drew
Oh my God.
26:45
Adam
I got a toilet seat, squirts water right up your ass.
26:48
Guest
So there's no need to wipe.
26:49
Guest
Well, you got a big wet spot on your face.
26:51
Adam
You got to dab off before you pull the trousers up.
26:54
Guest
Now do you dab off from the front or from the back?
26:57
Adam
I'm back. The interesting thing about my dabbing process, Drew, not that I like to reveal too much about myself on the show, but I'm a left-handed guy. I'm righty with the paper.
27:07
Drew
Oh, nice. Very nice. It's not really dabbing. It's sort of schmearing. Isn't that what you... Smearing. Smearing, yes.
27:12
Adam
There you go.
27:13
Guest
Like it knows bagel.
27:14
Adam
Yeah, I go at it with a tongue depressor more than I do with paper.
27:17
Drew
That's where the hose comes in.
27:19
Adam
I'm telling you, I'm going to New York in a couple of weeks. I'm going to stay at the Regal Royal. And I swear to God, I told my assistant today, book me on the floor with the squirting toilet seats. That is my floor. There you go. That is why I go to that hotel. Beautiful, beautiful squirting toilets. Justin? Yeah. You've never felt fresher as a man. You're 20. What's up?
27:42
Caller
I got this problem with premature ejaculation. It seems like every time that I'm getting going or about to put it in, it's like I'm done before I'm even starting.
27:55
Drew
With the same woman?
27:57
Caller
No, no.
27:58
Drew
Maybe you need a girlfriend to kind of work this stuff out.
28:00
Caller
Yeah. I had one for a while. Sometimes it would change.
28:04
Drew
How long is a while?
28:06
Caller
About six, seven months.
28:08
Adam
And it would vary a little bit?
28:11
Caller
A little bit, but most of the time, I was good for about one to five minutes. But then other times, I'd have these freak nights where it would go on forever.
28:19
Drew
Well, you need to learn to figure out what makes that all happen and master all that. Because it's not like it's, geez, these are random events that will never happen again. There's something going on here in your system. You've got to figure out how to get control over that and master it.
28:32
Caller
I've tried. I've read up a few master-mate more beforehand. You won't be as prone to it. I haven't found anything that really alleviates the problem.
28:41
Adam
So those nights, you did nothing different than you did any other night.
28:46
Caller
No.
28:48
Guest
Do you use condoms?
28:51
Caller
Typically, no, because I would get tested beforehand.
28:53
Guest
Well, in my, I'm not a guy.
28:56
Guest
Tested for pregnancy?
28:57
Drew
What the hell does that mean?
28:58
Guest
For AIDS, you mean?
28:59
Guest
Yeah, but I mean, still.
29:00
Drew
Yeah, well, your partner can be re-tested at six months and then they're clear. Do you wait that six months?
29:05
Caller
Yes. Usually, I wait a good three, four months before I do anything with them. All right.
29:08
Guest
But plus, if you use a condom, it might help because it lessens your sensitivity and you might be able to hold out longer because you're not so sensitive. I'm a girl, I'm saying this, but is this true? Because there's three men in the room with you.
29:19
Drew
No, no, it is, and some, but most of these guys, though, the, there's actually a cream, I'm telling you about that cream right now, that they're starting to study, but mostly it's masturbate more.
29:30
Adam
Right, but, you know, Justin, here's the deal, there's certain guys out there that are in the top 10%, they go whenever they want for as long as they want, and then there are guys who are in the bottom 10%, and then there's the 80% that's in between. You happen to have gotten a bad hand dealt to you, probably because God hates you, and he puts you, I'm just playing a hunch.
29:54
Drew
But in the standard of natural selection, the one that can unload his seed the quickest is the one that gets it.
29:59
Adam
Yeah, that's great. Tell that to all the fat chicks, too. Oh baby. Yes. You convert that Snickers bar into 20 pounds a lard. You are so blessed by nature. Have fun at home crying on Saturday nights.
30:12
Caller
I thought maybe-
30:13
Adam
Great, Drew, you'd be great with those people. Wait, so you're in that bottom 10%, so you gotta work on it, and the best way to work on it is you gotta get in a relationship and work it out. Just one woman, get your confidence, get your stamina, and that's it. It ain't gonna work if you just have a succession of one-night stands or short relationships.
30:32
Caller
Well, I haven't had a whole lot of that. There was one girl where it kinda lasted longer, but she was a little looser than most people.
30:40
Adam
No.
30:41
Guest
You wish it was her fault.
30:43
Drew
You're BSing.
30:44
Adam
You think he's BSing? Yeah. Why? We talked to a gynecologist last night, told us all about that.
30:49
Drew
Yeah. And then, multiparous women. He's one of my other 20-year-olds.
30:53
Adam
He said, he did, the one gynecologist, Alan, said that he did this thing with his face.
31:01
Drew
Starts very tight.
31:02
Adam
Said he puckered up and he said, this is a woman when she's like 12. And then, I waited, but when he got to the face with the woman at 18, I humped his head. I dropped my pants, I jumped on the console, I raped his mouth. It was great. No, he did that. He puckered up and then he opened it up a little more and he opened up a little more.
31:23
Drew
He was telling after each subsequent child.
31:25
Adam
No, he was not doing it, Drew, he was not doing it after each subsequent child. He did it at like 12 and he did it at like 16 and he did it at like 21. And we got into, you know, what about children? And they did kind of go around in a little bit of a circle about that one. And they did agree that it does loosen you up a little, so to speak.
31:47
Drew
Before that, it's just a tiny change.
31:49
Adam
Well, I was looking at the guy's mouth. I don't know, but women do vary and they do loosen up with children and over the years as well.
31:59
Heavily Flowing Labia.
32:01
Adam
That was one of his classic moments of the show, Amanda.
32:05
Yes.
32:06
Adam
Yeah.
32:06
Drew
Heavily Flowing.
32:08
Adam
You're 24.
32:09
Caller
Yes, I am.
32:10
Adam
What's up?
32:11
Poetic, isn't it?
32:13
Caller
My boyfriend takes too long.
32:16
Adam
See? He's in the top 10 percent.
32:19
Caller
Yeah, he is.
32:20
Caller
He likes three and a half to four hours of foreplay before he even wants to attempt penetration.
32:26
Adam
No way.
32:27
Caller
I'm not kidding.
32:29
Adam
24 hours.
32:30
Caller
I'm not kidding.
32:31
Adam
She's not, she's just, she doesn't know she's lying. What does it have to do with it?
32:35
Guest
Is it like seeing a movie? Is that foreplay?
32:36
Guest
At what point during the three or four hours do you join in?
32:40
Drew
What does foreplay mean? What is he doing?
32:42
Caller
Foreplay, I mean, he will, you know, we make out. He'll go down on me. He wants me to come like five, six, seven times.
32:52
Drew
So he wants it to be sort of easy for him once he's ready to go.
32:56
Caller
Yeah, but by that time, you know, I mean the other night, after three hours, I started to get bored and tired.
33:03
Adam
Is it really three hours?
33:05
Caller
I'm not kidding you. We started at 2.15 the other night. He didn't want penetration to like 5.30.
33:10
Drew
Did you talk to him about this?
33:12
Caller
I tried talking to him about three weeks ago and he got really insulted and I don't know how to bring it up again.
33:18
Drew
How old are you?
33:19
Caller
24.
33:19
Drew
How old is this guy?
33:20
Caller
44.
33:21
Adam
Oh, he's a little creepy, this guy.
33:23
Guest
Well, once he does, once you guys do start actually having an intercourse, does it take a really long time?
33:29
Caller
It does.
33:30
Drew
It takes a long time for him to come even then.
33:31
Caller
It takes a long time for him to come even then.
33:33
Adam
Listen, I don't think I have three hours all total.
33:36
Drew
In your life?
33:37
Adam
In my life. Three minutes here, three minutes there, it adds up, but it's still only three and a half hours.
33:43
Guest
I can't imagine. The most unselfish guy on the planet.
33:46
Caller
I'll come by on my lunch hour for a quickie and he doesn't even want to start because he doesn't have enough time.
33:51
Guest
What's a quickie, an hour and a half for him?
33:53
Caller
For him, apparently.
33:54
Drew
What are you doing with a guy that's so much older than you? Twenty years.
33:57
Caller
Well, we've known each other for a couple of years and we've started seeing each other.
34:01
Adam
Even worse.
34:01
Guest
Yeah, I mean, he knew you when you were what, eighteen?
34:05
Adam
A friend of your dad's here?
34:06
Caller
No, actually, he's my neighbor. He's my best friend's neighbor.
34:10
Adam
All right.
34:10
Drew
Best friend's neighbor.
34:12
Caller
All right. We knew each other. We didn't start really hanging out.
34:16
Drew
All right.
34:16
Adam
Is he addicted to anything else?
34:18
Caller
Not that I'm aware of.
34:20
Drew
Is he on medication?
34:21
Caller
No.
34:22
Caller
You sure?
34:23
Caller
Yeah, I'm sure he's not on medication. He claims that he had a vasectomy like four years ago. He claims that that's the reason, but I've never, ever.
34:32
Drew
The reason what? That he has to have to go down on you for three hours?
34:36
Caller
Well, no, like when it gets to penetration, that he claims that that's the reason why.
34:39
Drew
Well, that's not what you're complaining about. You're complaining about everything that goes before that.
34:43
Caller
Yeah, but 45 minutes of penetration is a little too long too.
34:48
Adam
Well, it's especially long after three hours of oral sex.
34:51
Caller
Exactly.
34:52
Adam
Does he want any oral sex from you?
34:55
Caller
No, he doesn't.
34:55
Adam
No. I'd like to put a bullet in this guy's head.
34:59
Guest
Let me make him go faster once you do have intercourse if you can give him oral sex before.
35:03
Adam
I don't trust this guy. I label him flawed. Completely flawed. What's he do for a living? He's a mannequin.
35:09
Caller
Owns a bar.
35:11
Adam
Does he wear his hair in some kind of weird fashion, a comb over or something?
35:15
Caller
No, he doesn't.
35:16
Adam
I don't trust this guy. Does he dye his hair?
35:18
Caller
No, he doesn't.
35:19
Guest
Is he loyal to you or does he try and satisfy himself outside the relationship?
35:26
Caller
No, he's completely faithful to me.
35:29
Adam
What kind of car does he drive?
35:31
Caller
He drives a 65 Volkswagen Bug that's fully restored.
35:35
Guest
Ah, car enthusiast.
35:39
Guest
That's the problem, right?
35:39
Drew
Does he muggle out a pod?
35:41
Caller
No, he doesn't.
35:42
Adam
Well, Amanda, you need to tell him what you want from him, and if he gets hostile or weird about it, it's okay to get out.
35:50
Drew
Yeah, then he is flawed. If you can't have a conversation with someone you're this intimate with about basic issues in the relationship, and he can't tolerate a real discussion about what's going on in your emotional lives, right, it's game over.
36:03
Adam
Yeah, yeah, and I know, I know it really sounds, it just sounds like sour grapes when I'm trying to, I'm trying to really assassinate a guy's character as going down on a girl for three hours, but there's something so wrong with this guy. Oh yeah, there really is. It's great, you know, it's such a fine line and we get into it all the time, which is, it's, you have to want to satisfy your partner. That's, that's a great attribute to have as a, as a male or a female. But when it becomes an obsession, when it becomes satisfying them for your sake, not for satisfying them on your terms and on your terms and they don't even enjoy it anymore. Yes, it becomes ridiculous. Sorry, Drew's going to retrieve the piece of paper I threw, so he can flick it more and make more noise off the microphone. We will take ourselves a little break. When we come back, we're going to speak to Jack. Jack is 16, wants to know how to get rid of a latex rash on his penis. We'll talk to him after this. I'm Adam Carolla, that's Dr. Drew over there. Greg Grunberg is here tonight. Amanda Foreman who just got off just got done wiping through the legs, right?
37:29
Guest
Always.
37:29
Adam
From Felicity, Wednesday Nights, 9 o'clock, WB. Go-Go's in here tomorrow night. Run DMC.
37:37
Guest
Cool.
37:38
Adam
Holy Christ.
37:39
Guest
Run DMC and the Go-Go's at the same time?
37:41
Adam
I think the Go-Go's are coming in for the first hour and Run DMC is coming in for the second hour.
37:47
Guest
Jeez.
37:48
Adam
Papa Roach later this week, Stabbing Westward, the Drill Sargeants from Boot Camp.
37:55
Guest
I feel that we're kind of not really comparing very well.
37:59
Caller
Well, you guys, I know.
38:02
Adam
You just keep them seats warm until the Go-Go's get here.
38:06
Caller
I guess so.
38:07
Adam
It's a very important job you guys have.
38:10
Caller
Wow.
38:11
Adam
Yeah. I don't think I ever met any of them Go-Go's. No wait a minute. We've had a Go-Go or two on here. No, that was a... Who was that? David Allen?
38:21
Guest
Are they all together? The original Go-Go's? Are they still?
38:23
Guest
No. My boyfriend's ex-girlfriend actually plays bass and sings with Kathy Valentine.
38:28
Guest
Will she be here?
38:29
Guest
A current Go-Go. I mean an ex-Go-Go. I don't know, man. Will she be here?
38:32
Adam
Adam Drew?
38:33
Guest
How much room is there in here? How many Go-Go's can you get in this room?
38:37
Adam
That's a very good question. We're going to find out tomorrow night.
38:39
Guest
I think so.
38:39
Guest
I'll also try and stack them in a phone booth. That's an old game.
38:43
Adam
That's a PW bug. Jack? You're 16?
38:47
Caller
Yep.
38:47
Adam
What's up? Hey, Jack.
38:49
Caller
Hey, what's up?
38:50
Adam
Oh, you got the latex rash on your penis. Oh, right.
38:53
Caller
Yeah, I had sex with my girlfriend two days ago, and I had a rash down there. I was like a bitch, dude.
38:57
Adam
Yeah, are you sure it's from the latex?
38:59
Caller
I think so.
39:00
Caller
I don't know what else it would be from.
39:02
Drew
It's all along the penis?
39:04
Caller
Yeah, like, cut up for the tip.
39:06
Drew
That was at the tip. And it kind of worked normally?
39:10
Caller
Yeah, it didn't break anything.
39:10
Drew
Okay, well, get yourself some over-the-counter cortisone cream, like Cortade, something like that. See if that clears up. It's probably a latex allergy, but if it becomes more sort of intense, you might have to see something about it.
39:21
Caller
Yeah, really?
39:21
Adam
I got that really powerful stuff you can get now that's one-tenth of one percent cortisone. Says it right on the thing in big letters. So now with.004 percent of cortisone.
39:33
Drew
What's that, Jack?
39:34
Caller
Would it be like something more than a latex allergy?
39:36
Drew
I doubt it. Yeah, it's probably latex allergy, but sometimes those need to be traded.
39:41
Adam
Yeah. You got to try a new condom next time.
39:44
Guest
Did the condom break when you were using it?
39:46
Adam
No, it didn't. No? No. They tried one of them lambskin ones.
39:50
Guest
Those don't prevent.
39:52
Guest
Did you wipe from the front while you had one of those on?
39:54
Drew
Polyurethane. Jack, you might want to try polyurethane next time. Polyurethane. Okay? All right.
39:59
Adam
What's the price difference with a polyurethane?
40:01
Drew
No idea. I think they must be comparable. Must be.
40:04
Adam
Polyurethane. Well, wouldn't you think there are more, a little more just because they're not quite as available? They just make them in smaller numbers. Possibly. Why wouldn't everyone use those? Are they not as good if you don't have the rash?
40:17
Drew
I don't think they're quite as comfortable.
40:19
Adam
I see. I like to tuck my nuts up into them too, just to get a little extra streamlined action going. Oh, yeah. Yeah, and you get that pendulous effect, which can hurt you sometimes if you shift gears mid-section, as all do.
40:33
Drew
Was it you that invented the mudflap? The nut mudflap?
40:37
Adam
Where does it go? Behind the nut or in front of the nut?
40:39
Drew
In front of the nut.
40:39
Adam
In front of the nut.
40:40
Drew
Was that before?
40:41
Guest
In front of the nut?
40:42
Adam
Yeah, with Yosemite Sam saying back off on it. Holding those pirate musket pistols. Two pistols. That's right. What do I do? I could have invented that mudflap. What do I do with that thing?
40:56
Drew
Well, it's to protect, you know, because some of that stuff can splash onto the testing. Oh, right.
41:01
Guest
Oh, yeah. That's a good idea.
41:03
Adam
Very smart.
41:03
Guest
Mudflap action.
41:04
Adam
Zach?
41:05
Drew
I was just wondering if that should be latex also.
41:07
Adam
Couldn't hurt. Zach, you're 20.
41:10
Caller
What's going on, man?
41:11
Adam
What's happening?
41:12
Caller
Well, I've been smoking pot since I was about 15 years old. I'm just kind of wondering. I've been trying to quit consistently forever. I just can't seem to do it. I'll go for like a month. I'm just kind of wondering what the effects are if I keep smoking pot. I did all the other drugs when I was younger. I quit doing them.
41:36
Caller
Zach, Zach, Zach, Zach.
41:39
Caller
Rambling.
41:39
Drew
Zach, you're an addict, okay?
41:43
Caller
No, I'm not.
41:44
Drew
Yeah, yeah, because that's what distinguishes addiction from non-addiction. If you're not an addict, stop. If you're an addict, you have to be treated. It needs help to stop. It will not stop by itself. And in fact, once you cross that threshold for addiction, not only will it not stop, it will progress.
41:59
Caller
Well, is it a bad thing if I don't quit? I mean, I like smoking pot. I don't know. That's my whole problem is I like it.
42:06
Drew
There will be lots of consequences on your life, and you can just start counting them.
42:09
Adam
You'll never know.
42:10
Guest
You won't notice because you'll be high all the time.
42:12
Adam
What? Well, hey, Zach.
42:14
Caller
Yeah.
42:14
Adam
How often do you smoke weed?
42:16
Caller
Well, I've been sober for about four or five days, but when I'm doing it, when I, I don't know, like five times a day, six times a day, I don't know.
42:26
Adam
Wow, game on.
42:27
Guest
What do you not like about reality that makes you smoke pot so much every day?
42:31
Caller
I don't think it's that. I don't know. I just like smoking pot.
42:34
Drew
He just loves pot. And that's the way marijuana addiction goes. The first time they get high, it is such an intense euphoria. That's all they can think about from that.
42:41
Guest
But you're in a different mindset than the rest of the world when you're high. When you're stoned, you just want to stoned.
42:47
Caller
Well, I think, I don't know, is it maybe because I've had some tests done about ADD. Is there a chance that it might have something to do with ADD? Because maybe I still, I don't know.
42:55
Drew
No, Zach.
42:56
Caller
I feel more comfortable when I'm stoned.
42:57
Drew
All addicts have ADD. All addicts feel more comfortable when they're high. That's why they do drugs. It feels better. But you're an addict now. It's time to get treated. You're not, you're gonna have, addiction is defined by its consequences. And the consequences will begin to mount and get worse with time. Now if you want your life back, you're gonna have to do something about this. Which is more important, you're getting high or having a life. That's your choice.
43:22
Adam
All right, Zach. What do you do for a living?
43:25
Caller
I work at a skateboard shop.
43:27
Adam
God damn it, I was about to say works at a skateboard shop. I would have been making a joke though. Well listen, you stop smoking weed, they make cannula. They have very strict drug enforcement policies over there. Yeah, they test every Monday. If they don't find urine in you, if they don't find any weed in your urine, you're out.
43:46
Drew
Oh, right.
43:47
Guest
That's right.
43:49
Drew
Yeah. They got to have something to recycle too.
43:51
Adam
Yeah. Really, he is in risk of, he's putting his career at risk. Really, I hope you realize ramifications of your suggestions before you just go blurting them out over the air for everyone to hear. Erin?
44:05
Drew
Yeah.
44:05
Adam
You're 23.
44:06
Drew
Yes. What's up?
44:08
Guest
I listen to you guys every night on the zone and I've got a situation that I need some advice.
44:16
Adam
Wait a minute. Where are you calling from? Woodland Hills?
44:19
Guest
Northern California.
44:20
Adam
Oh, I thought it said Woodland, California. I was thinking Woodland Hills. I'm sorry.
44:25
Guest
Yeah.
44:26
Caller
Go ahead.
44:28
Guest
My mom introduced me to a guy who's 23 when I was 12 years old. And before I ever turned 13, we were having a sexual relationship.
44:45
Drew
Why did your mom introduce you to this guy?
44:47
Guest
She worked with him.
44:48
Drew
What was the plan?
44:49
Guest
It wasn't. She just needed someone to watch me while she worked.
44:57
Adam
And the guy was 26 when you were 13, 12.
45:00
Guest
He was 23 when I was 12.
45:03
Adam
All right. So you had a sexual relationship with him. He was basically raping you. And how long did that go on?
45:13
Caller
Um, could you repeat that?
45:15
Adam
How long did it go on?
45:16
Guest
You're six years, six years, six years.
45:19
Adam
So you went from 13 to 19 with him?
45:23
Guest
18. I was almost 19.
45:26
Adam
All right.
45:26
Drew
What's the question?
45:27
Adam
Never right on this.
45:29
Guest
Yeah, I ended up getting married out of duty, feeling like I had to and all of my life I've always done what was expected of me.
45:43
Adam
You got married to this guy?
45:44
Guest
No.
45:45
Adam
Another guy?
45:46
Guest
Another guy.
45:47
Drew
That your mom introduced you to?
45:48
Guest
No. Yeah. Okay. He knows I'm not in love with him, my husband, and everyone close to me knows that I can't get that feeling for him. And my parents pressured me very heavily.
46:07
Adam
All right. Erin, hold on a second because we got to go to commercial break. Okay. Do you have any kids?
46:14
Guest
No.
46:14
Adam
Good. Keep it that way. We're going to work this out for you when we come back. All right? Get it all fixed up and we'll hunt the guy down who had sex with you when you were 13. We'll have him put down. Okay? All right. Hang on there, Erin. Okay. Take a little break. We'll be back with Erin.
46:32
Caller
1-800-LOVE-191.
46:46
Adam
Oh, hey, oh, Loveline.
46:48
Oh, oh!
46:49
Guest
Never mind.
46:51
Adam
It is Loveline. I'm Adam Corolla. That is Dr. Drew. Amanda Foreman is here. And Greg Grunberg is also here from Felicity. Nine o'clock WB on Wednesday nights. And we do-
47:04
Guest
And by the way, Tuesday night, I'm on NYPD Blue.
47:07
Guest
Hey!
47:08
Guest
Come on, the next three NYPD Blues.
47:10
Adam
Oh, really?
47:11
Guest
Yes, I will be guest starring What part? Big cliffhanger.
47:14
Adam
What part do you play?
47:15
Guest
Joey Schulman, owner of Tailfeather Strip Club in New York.
47:19
Adam
Sweet.
47:20
Guest
Yeah, three days I worked for three different episodes at Spearman Rhino in the Valley.
47:24
Adam
Nice.
47:25
Guest
With strippers, the real thing.
47:27
Adam
Yeah.
47:27
Guest
The dancing girls, the lovely women. And it was tough, but you know, you got to do it.
47:32
Guest
Good conversation, though, right?
47:33
Guest
Oh yeah. Yeah, they're wonderful.
47:35
Adam
I've done a few things involving scantily clad women myself via The Man Show. And you know, they always interview those celebrities and they go, Oh, what was it like doing this love scene or being around these women? And they go, well, the cameras, the grips, the crew, you can't focus. Nonsense. I enjoy it. I enjoyed it.
47:54
Guest
Do you know anyone who has business meetings at a strip club in the middle of the day? Because it seems to happen a lot on television.
48:01
Adam
On TV they do. And I know whenever I go to a strip club, they have that like businessman's brunch where they serve. It's always funny, too, when they get a little crazy. They're like, try the Linguini and clam sauce and stuff. Like I'm going, hey, the Linguini and clams aren't good at the Italian place. How goddamn good can they be at the strip club? I guess it's all a little better at the strip club. Oh, yeah.
48:25
Guest
They taste better when there's naked ladies.
48:27
Adam
But it is really funny when they have the lunch special or the brunch or the bottomless salad bowl at the strip club. I always wonder who's in there at those hours. It's funny, like, you guys ever been to a, like, there's a Denny's in Hollywood off of Sunset that me and the construction guys used to eat at once in a while before we went into work, like meet there at 6 a.m., get the Grand Slam, and then head over to the job site. They got a bar there, and the bars close from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m., I believe is when they open up. It's weird seeing dudes waiting to get into a bar at 5.57 in the morning.
49:11
Guest
That's depressing.
49:12
Adam
I mean, you know, we all hear about the alcoholics and everything, but having a few high balls before you drive into work.
49:19
Guest
Wow.
49:20
Adam
I mean, could you imagine? What would you be like?
49:22
Guest
Are you sure they're driving into work?
49:24
Adam
Well, a lot of these guys are wearing suits, and they haven't been up all night. They're getting a jump. Have a nice bloody Mary at the Denny's.
49:34
Guest
Is that the Denny's just west of like Highland?
49:36
Guest
That's across from KTLA. Yeah.
49:38
Adam
That right across from the Home Depot there.
49:42
Guest
Yeah.
49:42
Adam
Aaron.
49:43
Drew
Pimps and their hose.
49:45
Adam
You're 21. Well, you see the pimps, the hose can't be far behind. Exactly. So we were talking to you when we left off. Your mother introduced you to this guy when you're very young, 12 years old.
49:58
Drew
So she could work. Where was your dad, by the way?
50:02
Guest
He was working as well.
50:04
Drew
So they were together. They were not divorced.
50:07
Guest
Right.
50:08
Drew
But this was your mom's idea to bring this guy in.
50:10
Adam
And he had a sexual relationship with this guy that went on for six years. And would you have sex every day that he watched you?
50:21
Guest
Yeah. It was like three or four times a week the entire time.
50:27
Guest
Did your mom know?
50:28
Guest
Oh, no. No.
50:29
Adam
Did she? Does she know now?
50:31
Yeah.
50:32
Guest
How does she feel about it now?
50:34
Guest
Um, that's what I was going to say. My parents were so angry and hurt and devastated that they pressured me and pressured me until I caved in and ended up putting him in jail.
50:53
Adam
Well, that's good, I guess.
50:55
Drew
That was a good thing.
50:57
Well.
50:58
Guest
Did you not want to put him in jail?
50:59
Guest
No.
51:00
Drew
I know it didn't feel right to you and it didn't feel good, but it was the right thing to do.
51:04
Guest
Well, the thing is that I'm in a marriage where I'm not happy.
51:09
Drew
That's a different problem.
51:10
Adam
Right, but what does that have to do with putting him in jail?
51:15
Guest
Because he's been out of jail for like three years. He's coming up to the end of his probation and I am still in love with him.
51:32
Guest
Yeah.
51:33
Drew
See, this isn't molestation. This is what happens.
51:36
Adam
Brainwashing.
51:37
Drew
Well, this is what happens to 12-year-olds or 13-year-olds or 14-year-olds when they have sex with older guys.
51:41
Adam
Stockhold syndrome.
51:42
Drew
No, they just idealize them. They believe in this fantasy that they're going to go off into the sunset and get married. I mean, every single 14-year-old, 13-year-old who has sex with an older guy clings to that fantasy.
51:54
Adam
What got you two apart, inevitably? Was it him going to jail?
51:58
Guest
No, actually, my current husband asked me to marry him and I felt duty-bound to accept his proposal.
52:15
Drew
What is his deal?
52:17
Adam
I'm saying, what got you two apart? You were in love with this guy, you were 18 years old. How did you even meet the current guy?
52:26
Caller
I threw friends.
52:28
Adam
No, but how did it get to the point where he asked you to marry him if you were in love with a guy when you were 18 and he was 26, 30 or whatever the hell he was?
52:38
Guest
I spent a lot of time with my friends and he got to know me that way.
52:43
Drew
I don't think you're asking the question right.
52:44
Adam
I'm not?
52:45
Drew
Yeah, it's why did you break up with the guy that you were having sex with?
52:51
Guest
Her mom forced her to put him in jail.
52:52
Drew
But why did you break up?
52:53
Guest
I was pressured by my family.
52:56
Drew
Your family forced you to stop seeing him?
53:00
Guest
Not intentionally, but yes.
53:02
Adam
But they didn't even know at that point.
53:05
Guest
Right.
53:05
Guest
Did you stop seeing him because he went to jail? Was it because he went to jail that's when you stopped seeing him?
53:11
Adam
No, they stopped. That's what I keep trying to get to and we can't get an answer from Erin, which is she sent him to prison later on, correct?
53:19
Guest
Yeah, after I got married.
53:22
Drew
Why did you stop seeing him in the first place?
53:23
Adam
So we kept asking why you stopped seeing a guy you were in love with.
53:28
Because I was scared.
53:30
Adam
Okay, so maybe you weren't so in love with him. I mean, I wonder if you're more dissatisfied with the guy you're with now than you are in love with this criminal.
53:43
Drew
Yeah.
53:45
Adam
You know, maybe you're not into your current relationship, and that's fine, but that doesn't mean you're into this old guy.
53:52
Drew
And also, to whatever extent there is remnants of some attachment to the old guy, it's built on fantasy, and you've got to really start addressing reality here.
54:01
Adam
Why don't you get out of the relationship that you're currently in?
54:04
Drew
Think about it. It's a guy your age having sex with a 12-year-old, Erin. Think about that. You want to have sex with a 12-year-old?
54:11
No.
54:12
Drew
Think about what that would be like. That's who that guy is.
54:16
Adam
How about, what's going on with your current husband? Is he a good guy?
54:20
Oh, he's fine.
54:22
Caller
He's just…
54:24
Guest
Why did you feel duty-bound, as you said, to marry him?
54:29
Guest
Because it's religious.
54:33
Guest
Were you pregnant? No.
54:34
Drew
What's the religion?
54:37
Guest
I'd really rather not say it.
54:38
Drew
Is there an ethnic thing here, too, or is there sort of a heritage that you're following?
54:42
Guest
It's not Mormonism.
54:45
Guest
I'm a Christian of a Christian religion.
54:50
Adam
All right. Hey, Erin?
54:51
Guest
What?
54:52
Adam
All right. Here's the deal. First off, step away from the air conditioning duct, please, don't drive me insane.
54:59
Drew
Sorry?
55:00
Adam
Holy Christ, what's going on in there? You're working in like an aerospace industry?
55:06
Drew
Meatpacking.
55:06
Adam
You need therapy. Therapy, therapy, and more therapy. You were traumatized, severely traumatized by this guy you claim to be in love with, who really brainwashed you, and is really just a flawed, flawed individual and criminal. Okay? Number two, if you're not in love with the guy you're currently with, you have no children with him and you don't want to be with him, get away from him.
55:33
Drew
And therapy might help you do that.
55:34
Adam
And get, start off with some therapy. Don't go back to the criminal, don't focus on him, focus on the relationship that you're in, and focus on a relationship with a therapist.
55:45
Drew
And you're so, you're so tightly, she's so tightly bound in with her parents, that's why she can't do anything on her own.
55:51
Adam
Right.
55:51
Drew
The therapy will help her sort of individuate and start making, have the strength to make decisions on her own.
55:55
Adam
Yeah. Yeah. There's, she was having...
55:58
Guest
It sounds like a cult thing going on or something.
55:59
Adam
It sounds like it. It's, it's, she was, she, Erin, I felt, was arrested when this guy got her at, you know, 12, 13 years old. That's where she is now.
56:12
Guest
Absolutely.
56:13
Adam
And that's what happens to people who get traumatized over years. Why should they?
56:18
Guest
She scared, she was scared, that's why she broke off with him, but she was 18 at the time.
56:21
Drew
She should know what the hell's going on. Right. She shouldn't give us a straight answer to anything. Right.
56:24
Adam
Scott? Hi. Hey, you're 17. What's up?
56:28
Caller
Yeah, my dad had prostate cancer. And he just had surgery and he got it removed.
56:36
Drew
The whole prostate.
56:37
Caller
Yeah.
56:38
Drew
Yep.
56:39
Caller
And see, I'm 17 now and I was kind of wondering like what the chances are of me getting this because...
56:46
Drew
They're higher than... How old was your dad when he got it?
56:49
Caller
He was 43.
56:50
Drew
Yeah, he was young to be getting prostate.
56:51
Caller
Yeah, and my grandfather had it and my grandfather's brother had it.
56:55
Drew
At young age like that?
56:57
Caller
My grandfather had it when he was like going around in his late 60s or early 70s.
57:01
Drew
Yeah, that's more of the usual situation.
57:04
Caller
Yeah.
57:05
Drew
Anything put your dad at risk for the cancer? Was he...
57:08
Caller
I don't know, take steroids or anything? I don't think he was.
57:13
Drew
Well, it's a cancer that can be pretty well treated.
57:16
Adam
What do you do when you get your prostate removed?
57:18
Drew
What do you do?
57:19
Adam
Yeah.
57:19
Guest
What are the effects?
57:21
Adam
Yeah.
57:21
Caller
Well, like...
57:22
Drew
You can have problems urinating, you can have erectile dysfunction, all kinds of good stuff.
57:28
Caller
And like my great uncle, he died from it because he had it like on like the left side of it and they cut it off where it was cancerous. Right.
57:39
Adam
Well, Scott, don't freak out. You're 17.
57:42
Caller
Yeah, I know that.
57:44
Adam
You got medicine and technology on your side. It's unlike dentistry. It moves forward.
57:49
Drew
It's a disease that if detected early can be is we believe is being impacted on significantly.
57:54
Adam
I don't know. What about a guy like Scott who has this in his family? She start getting checkups earlier.
57:59
Drew
Certainly at 30, 30, around 30. Yeah. Then again, this can be treated completely. Okay.
58:04
Caller
Okay.
58:05
Adam
All right.
58:06
Caller
Don't ask a question.
58:07
Adam
Don't freak too hard, Scott.
58:08
Caller
Okay. Yeah. On a man's shoulders, you have a juggie on there. Yeah. Since he graduated from Hazen and I go to Hazen High School.
58:17
Adam
Oh, really?
58:18
Caller
Yeah.
58:19
Adam
Well, I don't know which one it is.
58:21
Caller
I'm not sure of a name because I watch the show very often. I've listened to more than anything. Thank you.
58:25
Adam
I appreciate that. But you watch enough to know that one of the juggies was from Hazen.
58:33
Caller
Yeah. Hazen High School in Renton because all my friends say it.
58:37
Adam
Yeah, I'm gonna look into that.
58:41
Caller
Alright.
58:41
Adam
Where is that? What city?
58:43
Caller
In like Renton. That's like just out of Seattle.
58:45
Adam
Out of Seattle?
58:46
Caller
Yeah.
58:47
Adam
All right. I don't usually get a chance to talk to them, but we're taping a show on Wednesday. I'll barge in to the dressing room and see if I can get some answers.
58:56
Guest
To give you an excuse for barging in.
58:58
Adam
Good times there, Scott. Yeah. All right.
59:00
Drew
Now, Amanda, I want to hear a famous moment in Loveline history. Which is? You've got that, Anderson. The Pennywise's last appearance. Okay, go ahead. Oh, here it is. This is when Fletch. That's him vomiting. Now listen. So everyone's scattered around, runs away from him. And he's starting to get up and vomit on people. I'm pretty much. This guy grabs the mic. Listen.
59:32
Caller
Okay, bye.
59:33
Drew
That's him vomiting. Leaning over people. He's got 6'4.
59:52
Guest
You guys are still in here at this time?
59:55
Drew
I was not. This was a few many years ago before. A different studio. I was in the studio, and he was particularly interested in vomiting on me. And he chased me into a corner. I got up on some shelves. Adam had actually built in the studio, and was punching him in the face to stand him up, because he kept leaning over on me and vomiting on me.
1:00:13
Guest
He was like, kick him in the face.
1:00:15
Guest
You didn't try and defend yourself?
1:00:16
Drew
Yeah, I was punching him in the face to stand him up. To stand him up.
1:00:22
Guest
That would traumatize me to the point.
1:00:24
Drew
He was like Frankenstein. Yeah, he kept coming at you and just vomiting.
1:00:26
Guest
So you were punching him in the face. Were you doing anything to defend yourself?
1:00:29
Drew
No, I'm kidding.
1:00:30
Guest
What was he throwing up? Was he throwing up beer?
1:00:32
Drew
Pizza and tequila.
1:00:33
Guest
Oh my God! Oh my God!
1:00:37
Caller
That's about my worst nightmare.
1:00:38
Adam
What did you think he was throwing up?
1:00:40
Drew
Toffee?
1:00:43
Guest
I thought maybe he'd like drugs. We only drink a bunch of beer and it's all liquid, so it's not...
1:00:47
Drew
And he was sitting right there, eating, it took a big piece of pizza. All of a sudden he looked at us and just sprayed the whole thing, and that's where that little piece began.
1:00:54
Adam
That's how Drew got AIDS, by the way.
1:00:56
Guest
Was that in the first hour or the second hour?
1:00:58
Drew
That was towards the end of the evening. At least he waited.
1:01:01
Guest
We'll definitely have them back.
1:01:03
Adam
Yeah, good times.
1:01:04
Drew
Well, that's what prompted the discussion about them. Apparently, they are coming back.
1:01:07
Adam
Jamie?
1:01:08
Caller
Yeah?
1:01:09
Adam
You're 23?
1:01:10
Guest
If I throw up, maybe I can come back.
1:01:11
Caller
Yeah.
1:01:11
Adam
What's up?
1:01:13
My boyfriend doesn't like girl sex.
1:01:16
Adam
He doesn't like to perform it?
1:01:18
Guest
What?
1:01:19
Oh, no, he gives it fine.
1:01:21
Drew
He doesn't like to receive it?
1:01:23
He doesn't like to receive it.
1:01:25
Drew
Adam, you okay?
1:01:25
He's bisexual. Adam, Adam, you all right?
1:01:27
Adam
Yeah. First, Amanda was disgusted. Now, I'm livid.
1:01:32
Caller
My friends say he's not normal.
1:01:34
Adam
Now, he's not. How much does-
1:01:36
Guest
Does he have a problem with premature ejaculation?
1:01:39
Caller
Well, like, after he ejaculates, he just goes really limp. Then he goes to sleep.
1:01:44
Guest
But does he last a long time or-
1:01:46
Adam
Let me write that down.
1:01:48
Guest
What an unusual situation.
1:01:51
Adam
Yes.
1:01:51
Guest
Can he last a while when you're having sex?
1:01:55
Caller
Well, he can up until a certain point, but as soon as he ejaculates, it's like a twitch that puts him-
1:02:00
Drew
That's called male.
1:02:02
Adam
Hold on, hold on.
1:02:03
Guest
Because maybe he's afraid of, you know-
1:02:05
Guest
I've known guys who don't like to get oral sex.
1:02:08
Adam
Let me speak to James.
1:02:11
Guest
Do you have braces?
1:02:12
Caller
No.
1:02:13
Adam
Daughter of Tard? This is Adam speaking. We understand the part about him ejaculating and then not having sex after that.
1:02:22
Drew
And going to sleep.
1:02:22
Adam
Right. That we got. The question was, how long does it take for him to get to that point?
1:02:28
Caller
Right.
1:02:30
Caller
I don't know. Sometimes he's like right there. Usually he gets me oral so that I can get up there with him.
1:02:36
Caller
Okay, hold on.
1:02:37
Adam
Listen.
1:02:38
Caller
Wow.
1:02:39
Adam
Do you want to know how stupid this country is?
1:02:41
Caller
Incredible.
1:02:42
Adam
I'm talking to a 23-year-old woman who presents a problem. Greg, you asked if...
1:02:47
Guest
Three times I asked.
1:02:48
Adam
Trying to figure out if he has a premature ejaculation problem. She states that, well, after he's done, he's done. Then I call her a tard and try to refocus the question and it gets to him having oral on her.
1:03:03
Guest
Right.
1:03:04
Adam
No answer so far to this question.
1:03:07
Drew
Get her to listen.
1:03:08
Adam
Okay. Jamie?
1:03:11
Caller
Uh-huh.
1:03:11
Drew
Can I listen? Here comes the question.
1:03:14
Caller
Okay.
1:03:14
Adam
How long does it take him to ejaculate when you're engaged in the sexual act?
1:03:25
Drew
Not a trick question.
1:03:26
Adam
No, too long. Wow, Jamie.
1:03:28
Guest
Wow.
1:03:29
Adam
How goddamn tough is that question?
1:03:31
Guest
That's incredible. That's incredible.
1:03:32
Adam
Now, people like to think of that as being stupid, and I won't argue with them, but the thing that I object to most about that is there's hostility woven into that. Yeah. Because she can articulate herself perfectly when she has a question and or a problem. But as soon as I ask anything of her, it shut down and it comes across as confused and stupid. But there's a little sprinkling of anger in there, isn't there?
1:04:00
Guest
She sounded angry with her boyfriend.
1:04:02
Drew
Yeah, she's angry with the men.
1:04:03
Adam
All right. So, Jamie, you hang out on hold for about 30 minutes. And then if I'm in a good mood, we'll come back and talk to you and then probably hang up on you. Sarah? Sarah?
1:04:17
Caller
Yeah.
1:04:18
Adam
You're 21?
1:04:19
Caller
Yeah.
1:04:20
Adam
What's up? Well, I'm ready to gamble. Hold on, Sarah. I've got to gamble.
1:04:27
Drew
Here we go.
1:04:28
Adam
The wallets are coming out. We haven't gambled a while on the show. Get your money out.
1:04:31
Drew
You guys have $18 bills? That was on both of our par. I heard. Yeah.
1:04:35
Guest
It was like you were going for your guns or something.
1:04:37
Adam
I have no idea what her question is, but I heard a couple of syllables.
1:04:40
What's the gamble?
1:04:42
Drew
What was the first? Oh, I've got a five in there.
1:04:43
Adam
Oh, two fives.
1:04:44
Drew
What was the first thing that occurred to you?
1:04:47
Adam
No, that's we're betting. Drew, wait a minute. I don't have any scissors.
1:04:50
Guest
But why am I betting?
1:04:51
Adam
Maybe we up it to five tonight.
1:04:53
Caller
Why not?
1:04:54
Adam
Yeah, get a five out, Drew. What do you say, buddy?
1:04:57
Caller
Uh-oh.
1:05:00
Adam
Drew, that's a gallon and a half of gas you're putting out there, buddy.
1:05:04
Caller
Oh, there it is.
1:05:06
Adam
This is a big deal for Drew. This truly, truly is.
1:05:08
Guest
That's one of those old fives. How long has that been in there?
1:05:11
Caller
Yeah.
1:05:12
Drew
Why, let me ask you this, why did you think about betting?
1:05:15
Adam
Why did I?
1:05:16
Drew
Yeah.
1:05:16
Adam
I just heard her voice.
1:05:17
Drew
But what went through her head? I really went, 21? How? 21?
1:05:21
Adam
Yeah.
1:05:22
Drew
No, that gamble.
1:05:23
Adam
I don't know.
1:05:23
Guest
What's the problem on the screen?
1:05:25
Adam
It says her 19-year-old boyfriend got her pregnant and they had a physical fight. So that would lead us to gamble. But the voice, I didn't read the screen, I just heard the voice and started reaching for the wallet. Well, when we hear women especially, almost exclusively actually, who chronologically are in their 20s, but sound is if they're in 9, 10, 11 years old, it means there's some trauma, something happened, and they're usually locked in about that age. Just like the person we talked to a few calls ago who was having sex at 13 with a criminal, she was 23, but she was tracking like a 12, 13 year old. She didn't sound it in her voice, but that's where mine was at. Sarah, I just got the voice and decided to do some gambling. All right, we haven't done this in a while, so here's what we do, we gamble on the past. Not on what's going on today or tomorrow, and not what went on six months or a year ago, but what kind of environment did young poor Sarah 21 come up with?
1:06:29
Drew
Where's the call from? Long Beach.
1:06:31
Adam
Calling from Long Beach. Long Beach.
1:06:32
Guest
Dad was a sailor.
1:06:34
Adam
I'm gonna... Just kidding. Amanda, would you like to go first? No.
1:06:38
Guest
Just use those in Long Beach as a sailor.
1:06:39
Guest
What was the problem again on the screen?
1:06:41
Drew
She... A natural boyfriend got her pregnant and they have physical fights.
1:06:44
Adam
Right. Let's just hear her voice again. Sarah?
1:06:47
Guest
Yeah.
1:06:47
Adam
All right.
1:06:48
Guest
Hi.
1:06:48
Adam
And now hang tight, baby.
1:06:49
Guest
Okay.
1:06:50
Adam
And now don't reveal anything. Unless you want to do it in code to me. Or else we got a big pot riding on you, all right?
1:06:58
Guest
Okay.
1:06:58
Adam
All right. Now, hold on. Just do a little quick gambling. All right. I'll go. Who wants to go? No, no, no. Do you want me to go first? It's not an advantage. Believe me. Okay. I'm going to say, young voice, it says she got in a fight with her boyfriend. There's some physical abuse. Sounds like a good plan. Chaos, alcohol, dad's part. Come on.
1:07:26
Drew
Get it out there.
1:07:27
Adam
I was physically abused by a father.
1:07:29
Drew
When?
1:07:29
Adam
Is that enough? When? Sometime in her lifetime. I'm going, I'm going, young, is seven, six, seven years old. The physical abuse was on mom most of the time. Just got to her. Just got to her sometimes. All right.
1:07:47
Guest
Greg? I'm going to wait. You go ahead.
1:07:51
Adam
All right, Amanda?
1:07:52
Guest
I would say, I was going to say just what you said.
1:07:54
Drew
You can't do that.
1:07:55
Guest
You can't do that. See, that's the problem.
1:07:56
Drew
You can refine it.
1:07:57
Adam
Okay.
1:07:57
Guest
Okay. How about the father was, was emotionally abusive to her and physically abusive to her mother?
1:08:09
Adam
But never physical on her.
1:08:11
Guest
No.
1:08:11
Adam
Interesting. Interesting. I'd like to get rid of the dad too. I'd like to say he cut out.
1:08:15
Guest
Well, I was going on, you can't do that. Once you take your hand off the mic. You're right. I'm going to say that the father wasn't around. And yeah, I think she's been chasing this idea and possibly trying to win over the man. I think he left when she was six. And now that she's six and a half, I think that she's starting to have emotional problems. That's what I think happened is the father left when she was six.
1:08:38
Drew
I think we're going to hear, but everything was great, everything was perfect, everything was fine, we're going to have to dig.
1:08:44
Adam
You can play that card.
1:08:46
Drew
Then when we dig, we're going to find that all of a sudden around nine, something exploded with a lot of chaos and maybe even violence around drugs or alcohol or something, so dad's gone.
1:08:57
Guest
Something? There's money on the table.
1:09:00
Drew
Drugs and alcohol. Drugs and alcohol. Nine, he's out.
1:09:03
Adam
We didn't pick up no sexual abuse.
1:09:08
Drew
No.
1:09:09
Adam
Well, yeah. Now, this could be stepdad that kicked in and real dad could be around.
1:09:14
Guest
I was thinking neighbor. Yeah, but Sarah?
1:09:16
Guest
Yeah.
1:09:17
Adam
Okay, what do we got?
1:09:19
Guest
Well, I just found out that I was pregnant by my boyfriend, and I'm 21 and he's 19, and I don't know if I should keep it or not. I don't know if I'm just going to keep him from growing up, and I don't think I'm ready.
1:09:36
Adam
Uh-huh. You say there was a physical problem? You guys got in a fight or something?
1:09:41
Guest
Yeah, we did. I used to hit him a lot. I had a lot of anger, so I used to hit him a lot.
1:09:49
Drew
Where did all that anger come from?
1:09:51
Guest
Huh?
1:09:51
Drew
Where did all that anger come from?
1:09:53
Guest
I had a past relationship, and my ex-boyfriend, he used to hit me.
1:10:00
Adam
All right. Well, let's go back further. What about your parents?
1:10:06
Guest
Well, my dad, he left my family and I when I was like, I'd say about three.
1:10:21
Drew
You said six.
1:10:22
Adam
I said six.
1:10:23
Guest
You said nine. I'm closer.
1:10:24
Adam
Yeah.
1:10:26
Guest
And then my mom has always been there for me. Right.
1:10:30
Drew
What happened when he left? Yeah.
1:10:32
Guest
My dad tried to get back into our life when I was like five and then he let us down again.
1:10:40
Drew
How old were you when he left finally?
1:10:44
Guest
Like when I was five and a half.
1:10:46
Drew
Wow. Okay.
1:10:47
Guest
He just promised and it never went through. It never went through.
1:10:49
Drew
Was he alcoholic or addict or something?
1:10:52
Guest
I don't know anything about him really.
1:10:54
Drew
Was he getting kind of violent around you?
1:10:56
Guest
No, he was never violent.
1:10:58
Adam
He wasn't. He tried to get back in your life, but did your mom not let him back in? I mean, why couldn't he get back in your life?
1:11:06
Guest
Because he had promised my mom that we were going to go and move to New York with him and stuff like that, but we didn't know that he had another wife. Wow.
1:11:16
Drew
Nice.
1:11:16
Adam
There's a reason. So you don't know if he was into drugs or alcohol or anything like that?
1:11:21
Guest
No, not that I know.
1:11:22
Adam
We really need to talk to some parents on this show to get to the bottom of some of this stuff. And you got involved in an abusive relationship with one of your boyfriends?
1:11:32
Guest
Yeah.
1:11:32
Adam
He beat on you? And did your mom ever strike you?
1:11:37
Guest
No. I mean, she would spank me and stuff like that, but it wasn't really...
1:11:42
Adam
There's a lot of physicality in your life for somebody who doesn't seem to have any of that in your background.
1:11:49
Drew
No, it's got to have been there with your dad.
1:11:51
Adam
No stepdad?
1:11:52
Guest
My stepdad, he was an alcoholic.
1:11:56
Caller
He was abusive.
1:11:58
Caller
Yes, yes.
1:12:00
Adam
I didn't put it down, but I said at the top, I think dad probably left early. This could all be for stepdad.
1:12:05
Drew
I also said it would take us a while to get it out of her.
1:12:08
Guest
And I also said that...
1:12:10
Adam
Great, Kreskin.
1:12:11
Guest
All right.
1:12:12
Drew
Please.
1:12:13
Adam
Of course it does. Now it's starting to... See, did it just come into focus a little bit there? Yeah, absolutely. When did stepdad come into the picture?
1:12:21
Guest
He came into the picture, let's see, I think I was like in fourth, fourth or fifth grade.
1:12:30
Drew
Nine.
1:12:31
Adam
Yeah, Drew would say nine. You could have said your sophomore year of college. He would have said nine right there.
1:12:38
Drew
She was a genius, I tell you.
1:12:39
Adam
And what did he do?
1:12:41
Caller
My stepdad?
1:12:42
Guest
Yes.
1:12:43
Caller
He just...
1:12:46
Guest
he would say, oh, well, my sister and I, you know, we were from my dad and he would say, oh, well, they're not my daughters. I don't have...
1:12:53
Caller
I don't want to have anything to do with them.
1:12:55
Drew
When he got into your family, did things kind of erupt right when he arrived? I just... I get a sense of things kind of...
1:13:01
Adam
What are you laughing at? Well, he was okay at first and then started. Did he physically beat you kids?
1:13:08
Guest
Yeah, he would hit my sister a lot and he would... he would throw things at me.
1:13:13
Drew
How old were you when that was all happening?
1:13:16
Guest
Six?
1:13:17
Guest
No, no. I think I was about ten or eleven.
1:13:22
Guest
And where was your mom while this was going on?
1:13:25
Guest
She was in the house, but she really didn't know much and then...
1:13:28
Adam
And he was an alcoholic?
1:13:30
Guest
Yeah.
1:13:30
Adam
All right, okay.
1:13:31
Guest
She didn't know.
1:13:32
Adam
Listen, we're running late for breaks. Listen, Sarah... It's a push. We did get... It is so funny and so predictable that we all got where's the violence, where's the alcohol. You're talking about your dad, he moved to New York, he wasn't around, he didn't hit anybody, he didn't seem to have a substance abuse problem, and everyone was dumbfounded over here. And then when stepdad came into the picture, our picture came into picture.
1:13:55
Drew
And by the way, moms don't suddenly develop a relationship with alcoholics. They consist of it. So first dad was not alone.
1:14:01
Adam
So Sarah, a lot of chaos in your life, no place to bring up a child. Right?
1:14:07
Guest
If you're hitting your boyfriend, you shouldn't be hitting anybody.
1:14:11
Adam
How about you give the baby up for adoption? Give the baby a chance or you get that abortion like Amanda once, like Amanda's been praying for. She's rubbing her rosary saying abortion right now.
1:14:24
Drew
Looking at some treatment for trauma recovery, because you've got a lot of stuff going on, Sarah. A lot of these relationships are merely manifestations of the history you've had.
1:14:31
Adam
All right. Let's, I can't believe nobody. Okay, we're going to take a break. We'll be back.
1:14:47
What's up? This is Aaron from Stained, and you're listening to Loveline with Adam Corolla and Dr. Drew.
1:14:53
Adam
Yes, you are. Hold on, Amanda, let me explain something about radio.
1:14:59
Guest
I am part of America, so I'm just as dumb as the listeners.
1:15:01
Adam
The show stops at a certain point and then it starts again.
1:15:07
Guest
I'm sorry.
1:15:08
Guest
That's what the bottle is.
1:15:10
Guest
My life is so full it bleeds onto the air.
1:15:12
Adam
I blame Drew for that. I really do. Amanda Foreman is our guest along with Greg Grunberg, both from Felicity. Wednesday nights, nine o'clock, www. We should score some holes. Nice. We should score some holes.
1:15:29
Guest
The reason you thought of the Russian rapper, Team the Russian Rapper was because when I said I was in a band called Teen Machine, you said that was like, it sounded like the Russian rapper saying, Tin Machine, David Bowie's band.
1:15:43
Guest
You want to mean teen machine.
1:15:45
Adam
David Bowie was in a super group called Teen Machine. He was in his glam rock phase. He dyed his hair. It was a tone of blonde and he wore these suits from, I saw them in, what is that show with Don Johnson in it, where he drives that.
1:16:08
Guest
Miami Vice.
1:16:10
Adam
Miami Vice, he was in.
1:16:12
Guest
Now he's Italian suddenly.
1:16:14
Adam
Suddenly he's Italian. He would say Miami Vice correctly, but he would just, he would, he would hit the wrong Subos. He goes, he was in Miami Vice. It's important to mispronounce words that you, even that you pronounce correctly. That's the thing about being foreign. You have to screw up almost every word.
1:16:34
Guest
How old is that guy now? He's old now, right?
1:16:38
Adam
Team would probably, team would be.
1:16:41
Drew
Close to 30, right?
1:16:42
Adam
No, team would be 24. That's it? Let's see. Team was a team. He was probably 13 when I was in that Catholic Big Brother organization. That was good 7, 8, 9 years ago now. He's probably 22, 23, something like that. Where does he live?
1:17:05
Guest
Is he old enough to hear the show? Sorry, I know you keep going to press that button.
1:17:09
Adam
No, I have no idea where the team is.
1:17:11
Drew
He's probably the Russian Maughan. Now he's back in Moscow.
1:17:14
Adam
Yeah. He's probably working some underground thing somewhere in Russia. Are we going to hear the Dr. Drew shuffle a ramp before the night is through? Let's not forget that. We did promise that. We'll hear the boogie at some point tonight. Allie?
1:17:32
Hello?
1:17:33
Drew
You're fat.
1:17:34
Adam
What's up? You're 17 years old.
1:17:36
Caller
Yeah. I have a question. I'm a virgin and I think that me and my boyfriend are going to like have sex soon and I'm kind of scared. I mean, I want to, but...
1:17:53
Drew
Why don't you wait till you really want to? Make sure it's something you really want to do.
1:17:56
Caller
No, I do. I'm just scared it'll hurt or anything.
1:18:01
Drew
No.
1:18:01
Adam
How old is your boyfriend?
1:18:04
Caller
He's 17 too.
1:18:05
Drew
It's not a particularly painful thing for him.
1:18:09
Guest
Yeah. It hurts at first. Yeah, it hurts. Don't let Drew don't know.
1:18:13
Drew
17, 18?
1:18:14
Guest
Yeah. It hurts a little bit, but it gets better and it's worth it.
1:18:20
Adam
How long have you been with them?
1:18:22
Caller
14 months.
1:18:23
Adam
Okay. I've been around. They're 17.
1:18:25
Drew
The point I was going to make is not so much the pain as there's a great, it's easier to make it comfortable than it is to make it enjoyable first time or a positive experience because it's not necessarily going to be a great experience first time around.
1:18:37
Guest
Absolutely.
1:18:38
Adam
But let's do the math. First time around at 22 it ain't going to be cramps and giggles either. So you might as well get it over with and get to the fun.
1:18:50
Guest
That's true.
1:18:52
Adam
And at 17 you guys have been together over a year. You're in love?
1:18:56
Caller
I guess.
1:18:57
Guest
Just make sure you use birth control.
1:18:59
Adam
So are you in love?
1:19:01
Caller
Yeah.
1:19:02
Adam
Well, you hesitate.
1:19:03
Guest
You don't sound too convincing.
1:19:04
Guest
Are you afraid he's listening?
1:19:06
Caller
Yeah.
1:19:10
Adam
What's up with you and him? I mean...
1:19:13
Guest
Do you say I love you to him?
1:19:15
Caller
I love you.
1:19:16
Guest
To him?
1:19:17
Caller
To him.
1:19:18
Guest
Don't say it to me.
1:19:20
Guest
Do you say it to him? Do you say it to each other?
1:19:22
Caller
Yeah.
1:19:23
Guest
Oh, and you can say that you love him.
1:19:24
Adam
Do you mean it?
1:19:26
Caller
Yeah.
1:19:27
Caller
Okay.
1:19:28
Adam
Hold on a second. We have to talk about you behind your back. I can't figure out if she's being sort of coy and that he's listening and she's embarrassed and that she really does love him but that she's shy about it or that she isn't too into him and is not quite sure what to say.
1:19:44
Guest
You know, it sort of sounds to me like she wanted to hear that it's extremely painful. She's looking for an excuse, in my opinion, to not do this.
1:19:51
Drew
That may be.
1:19:51
Adam
Well, that's true. I mean, if you've been with someone for over a year and you're 17 and they want to do it, what the hell are you calling us for?
1:19:58
Drew
Yeah, exactly. She sounds terribly mature. Very good point. Allie?
1:20:03
Adam
Allie?
1:20:04
Caller
Yeah?
1:20:05
Adam
You're not so into him, huh?
1:20:07
Caller
No, no, no, no. I love him a lot.
1:20:09
Adam
You do?
1:20:10
Caller
Yes.
1:20:10
Adam
You're very committed to him.
1:20:11
Caller
Yeah.
1:20:12
Adam
And are you okay? Have you ever been traumatized in any way?
1:20:15
Caller
No.
1:20:16
Adam
No?
1:20:16
Caller
No.
1:20:17
Adam
And would you, I know this is an easy question to answer, but would you consider yourself mature or immature, 17?
1:20:26
Caller
Mature.
1:20:27
Adam
You're mature?
1:20:28
Caller
Yeah.
1:20:28
Adam
Okay. So why are you calling us and asking us?
1:20:32
Caller
Well, I'm just kind of scared and I was wondering if there was any way to make it like less painful or anything.
1:20:38
Guest
And make, just talk to him about it. That's something between the two of you and he's, if he's, if you really love him and he loves you back.
1:20:45
Caller
Yeah.
1:20:45
Drew
A caring partner, relaxation, lube.
1:20:49
Guest
Lube. Lube. It should be on a bumper sticker somewhere.
1:20:52
Adam
All right, Allie? Okay. You just take it slow. Yeah, just play it slow with each other. It's not like a rollercoaster that you buckle in and can't get off of, you know? I mean, if something starts and it's not going the way you want it to go, you can stop. All right? All right. All right. Boy, she did not sound 17 at all.
1:21:13
Drew
12.
1:21:14
Guest
Yeah.
1:21:14
Adam
I mean, yeah, 12, right?
1:21:16
Drew
Yeah.
1:21:16
Guest
Yeah.
1:21:17
Drew
So that's why I was going down the discre- no, you shouldn't be doing this.
1:21:20
Adam
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, we talked to 17 year old women all night long that, you know, they sound like nurses from Korea. You know, they're like seen at all. You don't know what it's like to have a man die in your arms. You know, that kind of stuff.
1:21:36
Guest
Yeah.
1:21:37
Adam
Old man, he's in prison right now. I'm strung out on heroin. I got four kids. This was 17. It's like thinks the world's flat. Yeah. Still waiting for Santa each year. Cooking cookies by the fireplace. Nicole.
1:21:53
Guest
Hello.
1:21:53
Adam
You're 17.
1:21:55
Guest
Yeah.
1:21:56
Adam
What's up, baby?
1:21:59
Guest
OK.
1:22:00
Caller
I was with this guy.
1:22:01
Guest
Oh yeah, I was with this guy for a year. I loved him. I can't answer if I was in love with him, but I loved him. He was like my best friend.
1:22:12
Adam
Easy check with that in-love crap.
1:22:15
Guest
Yeah. Okay. So, like six months in the relationship, he wants to have sex and I'm just like scared.
1:22:27
Drew
Well, you don't want to. That's fine. What's your question?
1:22:31
Guest
Well, because I broke up with him about three weeks ago.
1:22:35
Drew
What's your question?
1:22:36
Guest
And there was a guy before him that the same thing happened.
1:22:41
Drew
What's your question? We got it. What's your question?
1:22:43
Guest
What's wrong with me?
1:22:43
Drew
You're fine. You're excellent. You have good instincts. You know what you want. You're healthy. Relax. Just because guys want certain things doesn't mean necessarily you're ready for that. It's fine. You'll know when you're ready.
1:22:55
Adam
Yeah, it's not like the guy who hosts the National Radio Show or something. You don't have to do.
1:22:59
Guest
I'm not a virgin, though.
1:23:01
Guest
Well, you may be smarter than you're giving yourself credit for. These guys may... You know, sometimes guys are looking for one thing and when they get that thing, they're not... They don't want to stick around necessarily.
1:23:12
Drew
And although you're not a virgin, you may understand the implications of being physically intimate with someone and that was maybe painful for you or maybe tense for you. And yeah, you're trying to be more careful this time around.
1:23:23
Adam
When did you lose your virginity?
1:23:25
Caller
When I was 15.
1:23:27
Adam
Uh-huh. And was it a rape or something?
1:23:31
Guest
Yeah.
1:23:35
Adam
Sort of rape?
1:23:38
Caller
I don't...
1:23:39
Adam
Rape-lite?
1:23:40
Drew
Neighbor, family member?
1:23:41
Adam
Cousin.
1:23:42
Guest
Molestation.
1:23:43
Adam
Molestation, yeah. Okay. Who did it?
1:23:47
Guest
My older cousin.
1:23:48
Drew
Yeah, cousin. The cousin.
1:23:49
Adam
God, it is so... Well, I said cousin.
1:23:51
Drew
Yeah, I was thinking cousin, too.
1:23:52
Adam
That is so... Yeah, it's so weird. All right, listen. Nicole. You gotta get a little therapy for that molestation. That's a big deal in your life.
1:24:02
Caller
Well...
1:24:03
Drew
It wouldn't hurt, of course, but I think, you know, just realize you've had a trauma. It's put you sort of make you kind of vigilant, made you sort of careful, and that's good. And yes, it was a very painful experience, unpleasant experience. You maybe don't trust men, and it's also not such a bad thing. Just be careful, that's all.
1:24:20
Adam
Listen, everybody, that's a good thing. I mean, you walk through a... You take a certain way home, you take a shortcut through an alley, some guy jumps out and kicks your ass. It's a good instinct as a human not to cut back down that alley again. That's what we have. We all have that. It's a good thing. Animals have it. We have it. It keeps us alive.
1:24:44
Guest
Able to read the signs.
1:24:45
Adam
Trust it. Please. Okay. We're going to take a little break.
1:24:49
Guest
Probably one of the scenery chairs in my mind.
1:24:54
Adam
Can't you read the sign? We're going to take a little break. I'm going to speak seriously to Amanda about her off-microphone commentary and behavior and commitment to this show. And we'll be back.
1:25:06
Guest
I'm going to vomit next.
1:25:07
Caller
Hello. This is your radio. Loveline will be right back.
1:25:13
Caller
Hey, Loveline.
1:25:15
Adam
Boy, do I love this riff. Amanda Foreman and Greg Grunberg are both here tonight. They are from Felicity, which is on at 9 o'clock, as you know, on the WB, Wednesday nights. And Greg can be found on NYPD Blue, starting tomorrow night.
1:25:33
Guest
Tomorrow night, and then for three weeks, the last three episodes of the season. Big cliffhanger involving myself and Mr. Rich Roeder.
1:25:42
Adam
He'll be the guy sitting in the Nudie shop.
1:25:45
Guest
In the Nudie Club, yeah. And they really use nudie women.
1:25:49
Adam
Nice. Are they naked?
1:25:51
Guest
They're naked. I couldn't believe it. NYPD Blue is all about showing. Yeah, well, you see Dennis Franz's ass, so you can see these women. But they have little pasties that they put on. But basically, they're naked.
1:26:03
Adam
Are they pasties that you're supposed to see, or are they supposed to look flesh-colored?
1:26:07
Guest
They're flesh-colored, and they're just covering the nipple, which I never got. It's like, what is that? Is that little aerial?
1:26:12
Adam
Oh, yes. Is that really the aerial?
1:26:14
Guest
Is that going to really change things if you see that?
1:26:17
Adam
Well, you have to understand that censorship is not a science. Right. And it's not really based on anything. So you're going to run into tons and tons of stuff that doesn't really make any sense.
1:26:26
Guest
That's true.
1:26:27
Adam
And we deal with that on this show. All right. Let's talk to Elizabeth, who's 20.
1:26:34
Caller
Hey, guys.
1:26:34
Adam
What's up?
1:26:36
Caller
I have an issue orgasming.
1:26:39
Drew
Issue?
1:26:40
Guest
I cannot come to an orgasm.
1:26:42
Drew
You've never had one?
1:26:43
Guest
No.
1:26:45
Adam
Ever in your life, even on your own?
1:26:48
Guest
No.
1:26:49
Adam
Do you have a boyfriend now?
1:26:50
Guest
No.
1:26:51
Guest
Do you have a bathtub?
1:26:53
Caller
Yeah, I do that too, Drew.
1:26:55
Drew
That was not true.
1:26:56
Adam
That was great.
1:26:57
Guest
You didn't ask me.
1:26:57
Caller
Oh, I'm sorry.
1:26:58
Adam
Drew was about to suggest that, though.
1:27:00
Drew
I haven't been showered.
1:27:01
Adam
Did it work?
1:27:02
Caller
I get, like, it's like...
1:27:05
Drew
Waterlogged?
1:27:05
Caller
I get excited, but it doesn't do me. Like, I don't speak anywhere.
1:27:09
Adam
How about a vibrator?
1:27:10
Caller
Do that.
1:27:11
Adam
You do that?
1:27:12
Guest
My boyfriend got me one.
1:27:13
Adam
I see. And how's that working for you?
1:27:15
Guest
Yeah, I don't even like it.
1:27:17
Drew
Are you in love with your boyfriend?
1:27:18
Guest
I totally adore him. I don't know that I love him, but he's awesome.
1:27:25
Adam
What is it?
1:27:26
Guest
Do you have the dictionary?
1:27:27
Drew
I'm in love, but I'm not in love.
1:27:29
Adam
That's something a man has never said in his life. That's a total chick thing.
1:27:35
Drew
I love him, I adore him, but I'm not in love with him.
1:27:37
Adam
Drew, you know that I'm in love with the notion of being in love.
1:27:40
Drew
Oh, yes, of course.
1:27:40
Adam
That you know about me. Okay, so you don't know if you're in love with him or you're not in love with him.
1:27:47
Caller
I care a lot about him.
1:27:48
Drew
Yeah, if you're not in love with him.
1:27:48
Adam
How long have you been with him?
1:27:49
Guest
I've been with him for nine months.
1:27:51
Adam
Oh, you ain't in love.
1:27:53
Caller
Huh?
1:27:53
Adam
Why don't you start looking around?
1:27:56
Caller
Because I want him. No, you don't.
1:27:58
Adam
You're 20 years old.
1:28:00
Caller
I do.
1:28:01
Caller
You don't even know.
1:28:02
Guest
We were friends for two years.
1:28:04
Drew
We do know because your body is telling you, oh, oh, oh.
1:28:06
Adam
He was hot for a few years.
1:28:07
Drew
Yes, absolutely.
1:28:09
Guest
We were friends for two years before we two dated.
1:28:11
Drew
But during those two years, he was planning and plotting. He was like in a war room.
1:28:15
Adam
He jacked off an ocean to you before you even got together, I guarantee it.
1:28:21
Guest
But don't you think it has less to do with whether she's in love with this guy than with she can't even do it on her own? And that's really...
1:28:27
Drew
A lot of women can't do it on their own because if they don't, yeah, I know it's hard for them to understand that, but if they don't, aren't having an intimate experience, it doesn't make sense even if they can't do it.
1:28:35
Guest
But girls do. I mean, they're four years old and they're not having an intimate experience.
1:28:39
Adam
Well, listen, here's what we're dealing with here. We talked about the top 10% and the bottom 10%. Unfortunately, with women, the bottom 10% don't have an orgasm. Doesn't matter about the tub, doesn't matter about the vibrator. And at 20, this may not come around for a few years. But being with a guy that you're not in love with really is going to slow things down. And Elizabeth, and just because we can't take a call where we don't criticize, they call her to some degree. Elizabeth here is a little out of touch with herself and with her relationship.
1:29:14
Guest
Are there sexual sex therapists?
1:29:16
Drew
Oh, yeah, sure. They're right. But she doesn't need that.
1:29:19
Adam
Yeah, he liked you for a few years before you gave in to him, right?
1:29:23
Drew
Absolutely.
1:29:23
Guest
Yeah, we were both interested in each other.
1:29:25
Drew
No, no. For two years?
1:29:27
Adam
No, you were seeing another guy.
1:29:29
Guest
We didn't start dating until eight months ago.
1:29:31
Drew
Yeah, but that's the point.
1:29:32
Adam
What were you doing for the two years you were friends?
1:29:35
Caller
We hung out. It was like I met him at his work.
1:29:38
Drew
Elizabeth, did you have a boyfriend during that two years?
1:29:41
Caller
I dated guys and now...
1:29:43
Drew
How come you didn't date him?
1:29:45
Guest
Because he didn't have time.
1:29:47
Adam
He didn't have time?
1:29:48
Guest
He literally worked from eight o'clock in the morning till three thirty in the afternoon and then six o'clock till two o'clock in the morning.
1:29:54
Drew
And you asked him to go out? He said, I'm sorry, I can't.
1:29:56
Guest
No, he asked me out on a date and I told him he didn't have the time. He's kind of old.
1:30:02
Adam
He didn't have the time.
1:30:03
Drew
And he's kind of old.
1:30:04
Guest
I told him no, but then he insisted and after two months it's like we kind of gave up on that one because it just didn't happen.
1:30:11
Adam
How old is he?
1:30:12
Caller
He's thirty-four.
1:30:13
Adam
She's twenty.
1:30:14
Drew
Oh, please. This guy's been pining for years.
1:30:21
Caller
You know what? If it makes it any better with him, he waited.
1:30:23
Guest
I've been with him for nine months and he waited eight months for me.
1:30:26
Adam
Not saying that he... I'm not saying he's a bad guy. I'm saying he's into you and was into you.
1:30:32
Drew
And you're not into him.
1:30:32
Adam
You're into him. You ain't that into him.
1:30:34
Drew
That's the point. He's been pushing this for years. He's been waiting for years.
1:30:38
Adam
By the way, this genius when he was 32 was into you at 18.
1:30:41
Drew
Yeah.
1:30:41
Guest
That's right.
1:30:43
Adam
Yeah. That's a little... Or maybe 17.
1:30:45
Drew
Yeah. That's a little creepy.
1:30:46
Adam
That's creepy.
1:30:48
Caller
18. All right.
1:30:50
Drew
Wait.
1:30:50
Caller
No, no. Before you guys hang up on me, what are some things that I can try?
1:30:54
Drew
Well, you've tried... A new boyfriend.
1:30:55
Adam
You've tried the vibrator.
1:30:56
Drew
You've tried a new boyfriend.
1:30:57
Adam
You've tried the spigot and nothing's working. Does he go down on you?
1:31:02
Caller
Yeah. He loves to.
1:31:04
Adam
Does he stay down there for a while?
1:31:06
Caller
He would stay down there all night if he could.
1:31:08
Adam
Yeah. Hey, Amanda?
1:31:10
Drew
Elizabeth.
1:31:10
Adam
I mean, sorry.
1:31:11
Guest
I'm Amanda. You can give me advice if you want to.
1:31:13
Adam
It's getting late. I really think that you're really into him being into you a lot, but I'm not so sure you're that into him.
1:31:22
Drew
Yeah. Your body's telling you that.
1:31:23
Guest
But also in terms of having an orgasm, so much of it for women is a mental thing.
1:31:27
Drew
What's the point we're making?
1:31:28
Guest
Yeah, but I'm saying that don't even think about who you're with. Just close it off and let it expand.
1:31:34
Adam
Right.
1:31:36
Guest
You don't have to be in love.
1:31:36
Adam
Do what Amanda does. You close your eyes and pretend like one of the pirates from the Pirates of the Caribbean just jumped off this ship.
1:31:42
Guest
One of those old skinny guys.
1:31:44
Adam
Animatronic pirate is raping you. She's got an orgasm like that. We'll be back.
1:31:50
Caller
Hello, this is your radio. Loveline will be right back.
1:31:55
Caller
Well, there you go.
1:31:57
Guest
All right.
1:31:59
Adam
I want to thank Amanda and Greg coming in here.
1:32:01
Drew
We never got the boogie for Amanda.
1:32:04
Adam
We'll have to play it tomorrow night.
1:32:05
Drew
All right.
1:32:06
Adam
Anderson, it's your job to remind us of that stuff.
1:32:09
Drew
You know how distracted we get.
1:32:09
Guest
Oh, go-go's you can.
1:32:11
Adam
Go-go's tomorrow night and Run DMC. So it should be an interesting, eclectic evening tomorrow night.
1:32:19
Guest
Old-school questions.
1:32:22
Adam
Drew, you wear that big hubcap medallion you used to wear in the early days. Bring that in and those huge glasses of yours and a big clock you wore around your neck and Felicity, everyone. Nine o'clock WB Wednesday nights and you can catch Greg on NYPD Globe for the next three weeks. Tuesday nights. And until next time, I'm Adam Corolla for Dr. Drew saying mahalo.
1:32:43
Drew
You're going to drag the Duke across your nuts.
1:32:47
Caller
