1:01 Voiceover Listener discretion is advised.
1:06 Go.
1:07 Voiceover Adam Corolla and Dr. Drew. Love Line, Coast to Coast.
1:13 Voiceover Hey, it is Love Line. I'm Adam Corolla. That is Dr. Drew. Over there, phone number 1-800-LOVE-191. Dr. Drew, Board Certified Physician, Addiction Medicine Specialist, and Dr. Drew, fresh from his triumphant return from Chicago, where he appeared on the Oprah television show.
1:35 Drew Right. With the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
1:39 Adam My sources tell me that you were called up to the sofa.
1:44 Drew Oh, just me and Oprah, yes.
1:46 Adam That's what my sources tell me.
1:47 Drew What, do you have spies following me to Chicago?
1:50 Adam The show has not aired yet.
1:51 Drew No, it aired Monday.
1:52 Adam He taped it today. It will air on Monday. But like I said, my sources on the inside tell me that you were called up to the sofa, which is a big deal.
2:01 Drew Yeah.
2:02 Adam Much like on the old Tonight Show when Carson would call a comedian over to the chair after doing a set.
2:09 Drew Right, right, right.
2:10 Adam So how was it?
2:11 Drew It was 45 minutes of me and Oprah.
2:13 Adam Really? Now, now, Drew, I'm going to watch this on Monday. So let's just be clear here for a second. I said here 45 seconds of you and Oprah.
2:23 Drew You were sitting here.
2:25 Adam Where did you start? And by the way, that's great radio where Drew pulls out a post-it notepad and says, I was here and Oprah was here. Okay. The audience is where the audience is. Where do you start? Do you come from the audience? You come from the audience?
2:42 Drew Actually, they did some sort of B-roll thing and I walked in during that.
2:47 Adam B-roll, they showed some footage, some tape of you?
2:51 Drew I guess. Probably you too.
2:53 Adam Oh, really?
2:53 Drew Yeah. And I got to say, without your shining genius, as you know, I normally fail. You struggled, you struggled, you struggled. The work that you carry me normally, it's very, very difficult for me without you.
3:04 Adam Sure. You struggled.
3:05 Drew So, yeah. So, I just want to say thank you for-
3:07 Adam Sure. Well, now you know what it's like to be without me.
3:11 Drew Without a genius, yes. I understand.
3:12 Adam Yeah. So, who else was on the show with you today?
3:16 Drew That's it. They had subjects I interviewed sitting here, you know, people-
3:20 Adam Right.
3:20 Drew And that's it.
3:20 Adam Just Dr. Drew.
3:21 Drew And there was five minutes at the beginning with a guy that got some award for helping kids. It was a pretty, and that's it.
3:28 Adam Then you sat up on the sofa, crossed from Oprah, two chairs, sat up on the chair right next to Oprah for 45 minutes and took questions from the audience.
3:38 Drew Yeah.
3:39 Adam And how did Oprah, how did you find Oprah? How do you think Oprah found you?
3:43 Drew I don't know. She's delightful. Really? She's really kind of, you know, genius-ish. You know what I mean? I mean, she got, she's-
3:49 Adam Genius? You mean mad scientists, Mussolini, Hitler- Genius, solid-
3:54 Drew Genius in the way, some reaction I had to Barbara Walters.
3:57 Adam You know what I mean? Kind of genius?
3:58 Drew Kind of like her head's, like on-
3:59 Adam Castro. What are you saying?
4:01 Drew Head's in the game.
4:02 Uh-huh.
4:03 Drew You know what I mean?
4:03 Uh-huh.
4:04 Adam She's focused. And she knew you?
4:06 Drew Yeah.
4:06 Adam Knew your work?
4:07 Drew Yeah.
4:08 Adam How do you think you got on that show?
4:09 Drew What the hell? You did it. You must have gotten it.
4:11 Adam No, I mean, who recommended you? Did you think Oprah found you? No, producers. Do you think her people found you?
4:16 Drew Producers.
4:17 Adam Said this would be good?
4:17 Drew Yeah.
4:18 Adam What was the topic of the show? What was it called?
4:21 Drew We talked about it.
4:21 Adam I know, but was it 25 something?
4:24 Drew Quarter Life Crisis.
4:26 Adam And you sat up now, how did you do?
4:27 Drew I think it was good. I'm pretty sleepy. You're tired.
4:31 Adam But you did well?
4:32 Drew I think I will see.
4:33 Adam Oprah was impressed?
4:34 Drew The producers.
4:35 Adam Because she'll make a star out of you.
4:36 Drew Producers were happy.
4:37 Adam They were. So they may have you back. You think so? What did they say?
4:42 Drew We'll have you back.
4:44 Adam Yeah, but that's just so much Hollywood BS.
4:46 Drew With and without you and your genius.
4:47 Adam Very sad. I did Letterman three years ago. They said they were in a hurry to have me back.
4:53 Drew I know. I know. I know what I'm saying.
4:55 Adam You know what I'm saying?
4:56 Drew I absolutely do.
4:57 All right.
4:57 Adam And I actually did good on that show.
5:00 Yeah.
5:01 Adam All right. Well, this could be good because, as you know, Dr. Phil, or I shouldn't say Dr. Phil, but Phil McGraw, who is the big bald Texan dude with the moustaches on Oprah every Tuesday, was coincidentally in this studio last night with his son. Yes. Very bizarre. Who looks like the announcer Hank from the Larry Sanders show, by the way. That's who I think of each and every time. Yeah.
5:26 Drew I think you had to be, I was thinking last night, he had to be the relief pitcher for Raleigh Fingers. It's somebody out of the 70s.
5:31 Adam Big Phil McGraw coming from the bullpen.
5:33 Drew Who did you have watching me in Chicago?
5:35 Adam I don't know. I have sources. I can't reveal those sources and there wouldn't be sources. All right. So I'll look for you Monday. Right. Joshua.
5:43 Hello.
5:45 Adam Joshua. Yes, you're 17.
5:47 Caller Yes, I am.
5:47 What's up?
5:49 Caller I'm doing a project for my high school report and my partner Herbert's on the line too. Say what's up, Herbert.
5:54 What's up?
5:56 Caller We were just wondering you and Adam Corolla.
5:58 Adam What's up? Yeah.
6:01 Drew Yeah, Joshua.
6:02 Caller We were wondering you and Dr. Drew's opinion on the ups and downs of Viagra, pros and cons, you know, ups and downs.
6:09 Adam On Viagra.
6:10 Drew In fact, I had a present for you, Adam, just coincidentally.
6:12 Adam Thank you. Drew just gave me a Viagra pen. And by the way, first, let me let me direct the question toward Herbert.
6:19 Yeah.
6:20 Adam How many 17 year olds are named Herb? Is there anybody you know named Herb under the age of 75, 80?
6:29 A whole bunch of them.
6:30 Adam Nobody named Herb.
6:31 Drew Do they call you Bert or Herb?
6:32 Caller Yeah, no, they call me Herb.
6:34 Adam Really?
6:35 Big Herb. All right.
6:36 Adam And is that just some weed name or is that his actual name?
6:39 That's my actual name.
6:40 It's Herbert.
6:41 Adam Interesting. Named after your grandfather?
6:43 No. It's actually the first time that everybody named me that.
6:45 Adam Oh boy. Parents ought to be arrested. All right. So you have a question about Viagra.
6:50 Drew I know he spells it. What is the context of what you want to know about what we feel about it? What do you mean?
6:55 Caller Well, basically, since you're a doctor, you know, we're running like-
6:57 Drew It's an important medicine. What is it you want to know about it?
7:00 Caller Okay. Well, we basically want to know like, if you would recommend it to allow your patients or like, just basically your opinions on both your opinions, you know.
7:08 Drew You want to go first?
7:09 Adam Yeah. I don't have any real opinions. If it works, it works. I know a lot of people like to supplement their sexuality with Viagra. I don't think that's a great plan.
7:19 Drew That's a bad idea.
7:20 Adam But-
7:21 Drew It's a medication.
7:22 Adam If it's broke, this will help fix it.
7:24 Drew It's meant for medical causes, typically of impotence. It's an excellent breakthrough medicine for people that are on medication, or have diseases that cause that problem. For young people, it's interesting. Older people, men that get impotence as a result of aging and have been without that part of their relationship for many, many years, often the women, their wives are relieved. The men were lined up at my door when Viagra first came out. They couldn't wait to get their hands on it, rekindle that part of themselves. Their partners weren't so happy about it.
7:52 Adam Yeah, they broke a lot of hips.
7:54 Drew Yeah, so it created a sort of a power imbalance, a strange change in their relationships that wasn't necessarily healthy. Certainly the recreational use of this drug is not good. It's a medication. All medicines, if they're not used for therapeutic use, can be hurtful, painful.
8:05 Adam Well, we can get away with it once in a while.
8:08 Drew We don't know, and we don't know the long-term effects.
8:10 Caller All right.
8:11 Adam Hey, Josh, this is for your public high school. You're doing a report on Viagra?
8:15 Caller Yeah. Wow.
8:17 Adam All right. Good times.
8:17 Drew He's going to write it in the side of a porcelain.
8:21 Adam I don't know if he's saying it's true.
8:22 Drew You know what I'm saying?
8:23 Adam Like a pestle?
8:24 Drew Yeah.
8:24 Adam Thank you.
8:25 Caller And Herbert has a question too.
8:28 If a person has heart disease, right?
8:29 Yeah.
8:30 Caller What would the downside of Viagra be?
8:33 Drew Well, if you're on something called nitrates, if you're on nitrates which are like mdur or nitrates, transdermal nitrates, the thinking is that it might cause a heart attack. So that's the situation where you don't want to use Viagra.
8:45 Adam Josh and Herb make quite a squirrely young team, don't they?
8:47 Drew They do indeed.
8:48 Adam I bet they ain't pulling a lot of tail.
8:50 Drew You just hear them in like a party chat room.
8:54 Adam All right, good luck on that report. Carmen?
8:57 Yeah.
8:57 Adam You're 25?
8:59 Caller I am.
8:59 Adam What's up?
9:01 Okay.
9:03 Caller First, I love you guys so much.
9:05 Adam Thank you.
9:07 All right.
9:08 Caller My question is, my boyfriend came on my stomach and I got a rash.
9:15 Drew Good times.
9:15 Adam Good times.
9:16 Caller And I've also gotten a similar rash around my mouth. And what's up with that?
9:23 Drew So you're reacting to something. You feel like you're allergic to him?
9:26 Caller Well, I don't know. Is that possible?
9:28 Adam Well, what got around your mouth? The same thing?
9:30 Caller Yeah, same thing.
9:31 Drew What's the rash look like?
9:32 Adam You know, you're not at a party, baby. Well, same batch, by the way, on the belly and the mouth? New batch.
9:42 Caller No, a different batch.
9:43 Adam A new batch, okay.
9:44 Drew Same, different.
9:46 Adam Same applicator, though, right?
9:49 What's that?
9:51 Caller Same applicator?
9:52 Adam Yeah. New caulk, different gun, or same gun, new caulk? I got it.
9:58 All right.
9:58 Caller Yeah, that's the deal.
9:59 Adam Go ahead there, Carmen. So she's got a rash, Drew. What about it?
10:03 Caller Yeah, well, I mean, it goes away, like, within several hours.
10:07 Drew Oh, is it just a redness, or is it like a hives?
10:10 Caller It's more rashy. Well, actually, I've gotten on some, like, little pimple-ish looking things, and those stick around a little bit longer.
10:20 Adam Yeah, and when it gets on you, do you get it off immediately?
10:24 Caller Yeah, I mean, I'm not, like, sitting around with it.
10:26 Drew Have you had sex with him?
10:28 Caller What?
10:28 Drew Have you had sex with him?
10:30 Caller Yeah.
10:31 Drew Has he ever jacketed it inside you?
10:34 Caller Well, once, but yeah, I mean, I don't know.
10:38 Drew Did you react then?
10:39 Caller Not that I'm aware of.
10:41 Drew Okay. Okay.
10:42 Caller I did have some raised bumps around my vagina though, so.
10:47 Wow.
10:48 Drew Well, there can be allergic reactions, they say. Are you allergic in general? Do you have asthma, that kind of thing?
10:53 Caller No, I don't. That's so weird.
10:55 Adam Well, what is this semen, Drew? I mean, is it?
10:58 Drew This thing called semen, what is it?
11:00 Adam Yes. Tell us about this wonder thing known as semen. Here's what I'm saying. Would you be, if you took a 100 people, and you spilled a little, took a little swab and you put some urine on them, and you put some saliva on them, and you put some semen on them, and you put some fecal matter on them, what would be, what most people react to?
11:25 Drew I don't know that that study has been done.
11:27 Adam I'd like to do that study.
11:28 Drew But certainly we hear, I hear about the semen reaction more than anything. And it makes sense.
11:33 Adam Is it the protein?
11:34 Drew Yeah, there's more complex proteins in there. Yeah.
11:37 Adam So what should you do?
11:38 Drew Just avoid, you know, wipe it off. Wear a condom.
11:41 Adam Let me give her a little tip I use. Carmen?
11:44 Drew Yeah?
11:45 Adam You gotta start using a bib. You know, you get a...
11:48 Drew What about the Zamboni?
11:50 Adam T-shirt, well the Zamboni, the belly Zamboni is not gonna work because it's too late by then. You need to take a nice t-shirt out of the hamper, spread it over you like a tablecloth and then you're in good shape.
12:01 Caller Just cut a hole in it or something?
12:03 Adam Well, you can do that. You can get that outdoor tablecloth with the hole for the umbrella and he can just put his penis through it. But I just mean, you know, if he's gonna get something on you, might as well land on a t-shirt before it gets on to you.
12:17 Caller There's nothing, I mean, it's not that there's anything wrong with him. I mean, cause, like, that's never happened to him.
12:24 Drew I know, but I think it's probably just his unique chemistry and not anything wrong with him.
12:29 Adam What if she took some skin lotion or something and rubbed it on that area?
12:33 Drew Some Vaseline or something?
12:34 Adam Yeah, yeah, something like that. Fill in the pores?
12:38 Drew Yeah, could be. A barrier.
12:40 Adam Alright, good times. James?
12:42 Drew You can do it with her mouth.
12:44 Adam Yeah. Do what with her mouth? Oh, I mean, ramp it around. Yeah, like some zinc oxide. James, you're 24. What's up?
12:52 Caller I mean, I just, I caught my wife with another guy and we got a two-year-old little boy. She said it was that they're just friends. We separated just four that I caught them. They had supposedly been seeing each other before then, but I didn't catch them doing nothing. I just caught him at our house.
13:15 Drew Well, you were separated, though. Yeah. It wasn't, would you expect she'd date if you're separated?
13:19 Caller It was like the day we separated.
13:22 Adam Yeah, it wasn't the hour. Women rebound very quickly.
13:25 Drew Like they're calling him from the bullpen.
13:27 Yeah.
13:28 Adam Hey, well, so you caught him over at the house. What was he doing?
13:32 Caller When I caught him?
13:33 Yeah.
13:34 Caller It was like 12 o'clock that night. He was sitting in the chair watching TV.
13:41 Adam Someone went down the wrong line. You got a little bad semen in my body. So was he in his underpants or was his shoes off?
13:51 Caller I don't really know because I didn't really see him. He took off running after I saw him.
13:55 Drew Oh, wow. All right. Why did you guys break up? Why were you sort of separated?
14:00 Caller Are we just going to have a problem?
14:03 Drew I mean, when often women don't feel like they're getting their emotional needs met when things start breaking down, they will go seek relief with someone else, not necessarily sexually, but some sort of connection with another guy. And so when you guys start fighting and the thing gets in trouble, it's often the case that one will sort of find another sanctuary somewhere. You know what I'm saying? That would be great.
14:23 Adam Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've been that... I've not been the sanctuary guy, but I have been the one that they sought sanctuary from many times.
14:33 Drew Many times?
14:34 Adam Oh, yes.
14:34 Drew That was when you were stalking by that point, though, right?
14:36 Adam How dare you, James? Do you two want to get back together?
14:40 Caller Oh, no. After that, it's pretty much over.
14:43 Adam It's over? All right.
14:44 Caller I'm just kind of worried how that's going to affect my son, though.
14:47 Drew Well, it's going to affect him, but try to be a good father, try to make peace between the two of you and keep both of you in his life regularly.
14:55 Adam It doesn't. Listen, it doesn't have to destroy the kid's life. It's not a death sentence. If you're vigilant and you want to give the kid a good life and you're a good dad and you stay on top of it and she does the same thing, then the kid will have a good life. Can you do that?
15:13 Caller Yeah, I can do that. All right.
15:14 Drew Make peace.
15:14 Adam What do you do for a living, James?
15:16 Drew Metal.
15:17 Caller No, I would make sausage.
15:22 Caller What does that mean?
15:23 Adam Kill hogs.
15:24 Caller Kill hogs. Yeah.
15:26 Adam Wow. What do you kill the hogs with?
15:28 Caller I don't exactly kill them. I just, we just, I just kind of, they come down the line, I just process them.
15:34 Drew I remember Tom Arnold stories about this.
15:36 Caller I work for Jimmy Dean Foods is what I work for.
15:38 Adam You know, you work for Jimmy Dean?
15:39 Caller Yeah.
15:40 Adam It's good sausage over there. Who knew? Tennessee? All right. So you got to go OK living?
15:47 Caller Yeah, it's all right.
15:48 Adam All right. Take care of that kid of yours. And you get joint custody, right?
15:55 Caller Oh, we ain't really worked on that yet.
15:58 Adam OK.
15:58 Drew But make peace with your wife.
16:00 Adam How's she doing? Is she drinking or anything? Is she OK?
16:02 Caller No, she's, yeah, she's all right.
16:04 Adam All right. Does she work at the hog plant too?
16:07 Caller She don't work at all right now.
16:09 Adam OK. All right. Good times, James.
16:11 Caller Yeah.
16:12 Yeah.
16:13 Adam Oh, my God. I tell you, I had some bad jobs in my life, and I never had to work around the animals, dead animals, dead pigs.
16:21 Drew Yeah, that would have been, that would have been yet even a further step down from where you were. No.
16:26 Adam It's hard to tell.
16:27 Drew Carpet cleaning, you know, that's at least a skill of some time.
16:30 Adam Cleaning carpet?
16:31 Drew No.
16:31 No. Stuffing sausage? Yeah.
16:34 Adam No, the stuffing sausage probably paid better than carpet cleaning did. But there's a smell factor involved with the, with the slaughterhouse. Crystal?
16:44 Yes.
16:44 Adam You're 26?
16:45 Caller Yeah.
16:46 Adam What's up?
16:47 Caller Well, I had a question for you guys. I'm morbid obese. I'm a big girl, and I've gone to the doctors and have tried to put me on diet pills, and I've became sick on them. I've tried diets, and I was just told about the phoby pouch. And I was just wondering if you knew anything about it, and if you recommend it, or what you feel about it.
17:11 Adam First off, what's morbid obese? How much over, you have to be 100 pounds overweight, or what do you have to be?
17:17 Caller I heard it was like 75, but I'm a big girl. I'm like 350. I mean, I am a big girl, and I'm only 26, and I feel like I'm dying.
17:25 Drew You sound a little short of breath too. Do I?
17:28 Caller I'm nervous talking to you guys.
17:31 Drew All right. Well, phobia pouches basically is cutting your stomach off from the rest of your body, and making a little pouch.
17:39 Adam Was it that thing Carney Wilson and John Popper did?
17:42 Drew There's different surgical treatments for obesity. The phobia pouch is a specific one, I think, where they wrap it with the elastic.
17:50 Adam Well, which ones? I mean, the one John Popper just had from Blues Traveler, the guy's dropped 200 pounds in a year.
17:58 Drew These things work. They work. No one knows for sure the long-term issues associated with this. You're really messing with someone's physiology. Your B12 absorption is altered, some of your nutrient malabsorption is affected. So it's something that you really want to be clear you're doing for the right reasons. You sound like you're somebody that certainly should be explored at least.
18:18 Adam Well, she wants to do it so she's not going to die because she wants to get in a model.
18:22 Drew No, that's right, that's right.
18:23 Adam How dare you, Drew?
18:23 Drew No, no, no.
18:24 Adam How dare you? I'm sorry, baby. I'm sorry. Drew is feeling very cocky after his Oprah triumph.
18:29 Drew The people that advocate surgical treatments for obesity really believe that anything else will not work long-term.
18:37 Adam Well, you're 350. How tall are you?
18:39 Caller I'm 5'6.
18:41 Adam Oh, okay. It's not like you're 5'4.
18:43 Caller No, but it's-
18:45 Adam And in a way, have you always been big, always been heavy?
18:49 Caller I've always been heavy, but probably my senior year, I just blew up because of a bad relationship and I went into depression.
18:58 Adam Are you eating a lot now?
19:00 Caller That's the thing is, my best friend who's really thin, we will eat the same amount of food. We'll both diet together. I will gain, she won't gain anything. My friends are always like, you don't eat anything and I gain it.
19:15 Adam Well, you may be a good candidate for this because you may have a biological predisposition.
19:20 Drew Have you worked with a dietitian though?
19:22 Caller I've just gone to a doctor and I've been asking my doctors to please help me. One put me on diet pills and I told her I'd get sick on them and I got sick and I had to go into the hospital.
19:34 Drew Meeting with a dietitian is something you ought to do. At least give that a try before you go into the knife and make sure you exercise regularly, a lot.
19:41 Adam How's everything going? Are you able to work?
19:45 Caller Yeah, I have a wonderful job and I have friends and everything. I'm 26 years old and I just feel like my life is wasting away.
19:55 Adam How's the social life? Any guys?
19:58 Caller Yeah.
19:59 Adam Black guys?
20:00 Caller What?
20:00 Adam Black guys?
20:02 Caller No, I don't date a lot of black guys, but I seem to date a lot of married men.
20:07 Caller Oh, interesting.
20:10 Adam Sure.
20:10 Caller What is that?
20:11 Caller I don't know. They treat me. I mean, they like me for some reason. And I'm not an ugly girl and I take good care of myself.
20:21 Caller Yeah.
20:22 Caller And I just want to... All right.
20:25 Drew Well, look into it. It's a reasonable option.
20:27 Adam Can you have sex at 350?
20:29 Caller Yeah.
20:30 Adam You can?
20:30 Caller I can have sex. I mean, I have pretty good sex.
20:34 Adam Really? What position you get it? What's the big... What's the position?
20:38 Um, a lot is doggy style and anal.
20:41 Adam Ooh.
20:42 Drew And what?
20:42 Adam Anal.
20:43 Caller And anal.
20:44 Adam Wow.
20:44 Caller I love anal. And I don't know if it's because I'm big or what.
20:48 Adam Maybe they're not making it to the hole.
20:50 Caller What?
20:52 Maybe...
20:53 Adam No. Drew slid me over a note that said maybe they're not making it in you. Maybe it's just crack. I mean, maybe they're not actually piercing the anus.
21:03 Caller You know what? No, they are.
21:04 Adam Oh, they are?
21:05 Caller I mean, they go all the way in. Oh, interesting. But like when I have...
21:08 Adam Fascinating...
21:09 Caller .just regular, I get cut and I bleed a lot.
21:12 Drew You get cut?
21:13 Caller Well, I don't know if I get cut, but I bleed.
21:15 Drew Vaginal bleeding.
21:16 Caller Yes.
21:16 Drew Well, just the sex will stimulate that sometimes.
21:19 Caller I'm like afraid, so I'm more...
21:20 Drew No, that's fine. Listen, when you're overweight like this, you have high levels of circulating estrogen, so your periods usually be very heavy and your mandimetrum can be kind of unstable and so sex could cause some bleeding.
21:32 Adam All right. Well, hey, Crystal.
21:34 Caller Yeah.
21:34 Adam You look into that surgery. Because, listen, I'm going to put you on hold, but I got to talk about this. How many people... We get into this from time to time, but it's been a while. I believe fat people are discriminated against in this society. Horribly. Horribly. And most people you know have their shape. Am I right?
21:58 Drew Yeah.
21:59 Adam I mean, Drew, how long have we known each other?
22:02 Drew Ten years. Five, six years, man.
22:04 Adam Six, seven years. How's your shape? How's my shape?
22:07 Drew Same.
22:07 Adam Change much?
22:08 Drew No.
22:08 Adam No?
22:10 Drew Same.
22:11 Adam Same.
22:11 Drew We got a little bit here and there, but same, basically.
22:13 Adam Yeah. Anderson, known for a few years, he looks the same. Maybe worse.
22:16 Drew How about those calves?
22:18 Adam Anderson with the huge calves. Novelty size calves. The point is, is as much as you want to talk about diet, as much as you want to talk about all these different nutritional things and all these different workouts and all this pilates and all this other nonsense and garbage, people, they look about the same. They got their shape. And we like to think we can change it. We can affect it, but we can't really change it. And if you're 350 pounds and you're kind of watching what you eat and you're making a little effort and you're still hanging around, around the 350 mark, that's a genetic problem.
22:50 Drew Wait, I thought a couple Cindy Crawford videos.
22:53 Adam That's right. You look just like Cindy Crawford. That's right.
22:56 Drew So she says.
22:57 Adam That's right. You get one of those. I'll tell you what. You know what those videos are good for? Jacking off. That's it. That's the only thing those things are good for.
23:05 Dude, you beat off?
23:06 Adam Oh yes. Now why do you think the guys are cheating with Crystal?
23:12 Drew There's so many, I hate to say it, comedic elements to that story. It's just like, oh my god.
23:18 Adam Yeah.
23:18 Drew I mean, I can't figure it out.
23:19 Adam She was saying that she dated a lot of guys who were...
23:22 Drew Married.
23:23 Adam Yeah. Here's my angle on this. I think they cheat with Crystal, and if they get popped, it ain't as big a deal.
23:30 Drew Oh my god.
23:31 Adam And their wife goes, you've been cheating, you know, I'm gonna kill that bitch, and then they go, oh Christ. You sad sack. Get the hell back in the house. We're gonna forget this ever happened. You think so?
23:41 Could be.
23:42 Adam Thank you.
23:43 We're gonna take a break.
23:44 Adam You are an asshole. We'll be back.
23:55 What's up, everybody? This is Chester.
23:57 And this is Brad from Linkin Park.
23:59 And you're listening to the amazing Adam Carolla.
24:02 And Dr. Spru.
24:03 Drew On Love Live.
24:07 Adam Yes, you is. Phone number 1-800-L-O-V-E. Let's get back to the phones and speak to Janessa, who's 19. Hello.
24:19 Caller What's up?
24:20 Caller I have a question. I'm currently in a new relationship right now. And I've been getting to know my boyfriend and all his friends and stuff. And I got to know one of his best friends' girlfriends. And we've been talking a lot lately, especially when they fall asleep. We talk a lot and we look at pornos together and stuff. And she's been kind of hinting to me that she wants to hook up with me. But I don't know if we should.
24:45 Adam What do you mean when they fall asleep?
24:48 Caller Oh, because usually we'll stay there all night.
24:52 Drew They smoke out and drink out and they can't sleep.
24:54 Adam Yeah, they pass out. They don't fall asleep. Right.
24:59 Drew So what's up with Janessa? 19. She has no judgment.
25:03 Adam How old's your boyfriend?
25:05 Caller He's 20.
25:06 Adam All right. And how's your life going?
25:10 Pretty good.
25:10 Adam Yeah? In school?
25:12 Yeah.
25:12 Caller What are you doing?
25:14 Caller What do you mean? I'm going to school and working.
25:16 Adam Yeah, junior college. Oh, yeah. That doesn't count. That's not true. Okay, where do you work?
25:22 I don't know if I should go through with it or not.
25:24 Adam Well, you never been with a woman?
25:27 No.
25:27 Adam You don't think you're a lesbian, do you?
25:30 Probably bi.
25:31 Adam Oh, there we go. Really?
25:32 Yeah.
25:33 Adam Really? You don't think you would have made a move by now? You're very attracted to this woman?
25:38 Caller Yeah, but I don't know.
25:38 Have you been attracted?
25:40 Caller We just started talking. We barely met.
25:43 Drew Why is it different to cheat with a girl than with a guy? Why would it be different to cheat with a girl as opposed to a guy?
25:48 Adam Because the guy, her boyfriend, could whack off to this if he found out. That's why.
25:53 Drew Except for that.
25:54 Well, because I don't know.
25:55 Drew So why do you just cheat with a guy?
25:58 Caller Because I've been with guys.
26:01 Drew So you would if some guy you were attracted to came along, you would just cheat with him too?
26:06 No.
26:07 Caller I've never been with a girl and I'm very interested.
26:08 Caller All right.
26:09 Adam Well, look, are you in love with this guy?
26:11 No.
26:12 Caller We just started going out.
26:13 Caller Oh, I see.
26:13 Adam You're not that into him.
26:14 Caller I see.
26:15 Adam Hey, can you not let him get you pregnant, please?
26:19 No.
26:20 Adam What are you using for birth control?
26:23 Pills.
26:24 Adam What kind of pills?
26:28 Caller I don't know what they're called. They're just, I just take the pills.
26:31 Drew Take one a day.
26:32 Caller And condoms, of course.
26:35 Drew For safe sex.
26:35 Caller Yeah.
26:36 Adam All right, baby. Listen, you want to swing around, get it out of your system, check it off your list. Fine.
26:42 Drew She's a little young for that. A little old for that, though, isn't she?
26:44 Caller She's not going to mess up the relationship, though.
26:46 Adam Well, yeah, it will. But you're not that serious anyway, right? Well, you don't care about this guy.
26:53 Drew Wait, you're cheating, Janessa. Don't kid yourself.
26:57 Adam Okay. Well, you know, it's a lesser of two evils. Worse to cheat with a guy. Better you should cheat with a girl.
27:05 Drew I wonder where she got the compass all screwed up.
27:07 Adam Eh, who cares? Enjoy, baby.
27:10 Caller Okay.
27:11 Adam Good times, right? All right.
27:13 Caller All right.
27:13 Adam There you go. Eh, let her live and learn. Why can't people learn from experience, Drew? Make a few mistakes.
27:20 Drew Because, as you know.
27:20 Adam Why call this show?
27:21 Drew Because, as you know, they compulse. They do it over and over and over.
27:24 Adam I don't know. I made a lot of mistakes. And look at me now.
27:27 Drew That's my point.
27:27 Adam Top of the world. Millionaire. Literally. Millionaire. Diana?
27:33 Drew Do do do do do. Thursday.
27:35 Adam Commander McBrague. What's up, Diana? You're 16.
27:39 Caller Yeah.
27:41 Caller Okay. I've kind of got a couple of questions about the Depo-Provair shot.
27:45 Drew Yeah.
27:46 Caller All right. I got one, I guess it may have been the end of April or beginning of May. I'm due for another one in July. Okay. If for some reason I should become pregnant while I've got the shot, will it have defects on the baby?
28:00 Drew No.
28:00 Caller Will it hurt it?
28:01 Drew No.
28:02 Caller There's no way at all it'll hurt it at all.
28:03 Drew No, but you're not going to get pregnant if you have the shot.
28:07 Caller How sure are you?
28:10 Drew Ninety-nine plus percent.
28:13 Caller So then I wouldn't need anything else really?
28:16 Drew That is correct.
28:16 Caller I'd be cool with the shot?
28:17 Drew That is correct.
28:18 Caller Okay, no. I was taking orthotricyclin, the 28-day regimen, to help clear up my face. And it worked awesome. Would I, would it reverse the effect of the shot if I still took orthotricyclin?
28:33 Drew Why would you do both?
28:34 Caller To keep my face cleared up.
28:35 Drew Yeah, but why don't you just take the orthotricyclin?
28:38 Caller They're not strong, they're not, they're really making me irregular with my cycle and...
28:43 Drew Yeah, but you're going to take them anyway.
28:46 Caller Well, I know that, but the Depo-Provera is making me not have my period at all.
28:50 Drew No, you don't get to do both.
28:53 You don't?
28:53 Drew No.
28:54 All right.
28:55 Drew No. Why not? That's just too much hormone. It'll make her sick.
28:59 Adam Diana?
29:00 Caller Yeah?
29:00 Adam Boy, you know your way around the pharmacy at 16.
29:05 Drew Look, take the orthotricyclin and leave it at that.
29:07 Adam How old's your boyfriend?
29:08 Caller He's 18 now.
29:10 Adam Everything good?
29:11 Caller Yeah.
29:11 Caller Gonna get married? We hope so.
29:15 Adam Okay.
29:15 Caller It sounds really unrealistic, but we hope so.
29:17 Why?
29:18 Adam Why unrealistic?
29:19 Drew She's 16.
29:20 Caller How many people my age get married and actually stay together?
29:24 Adam Zero. Yeah. But you know, you're from Ohio. I think you got a shot. If you were out here, you wouldn't have a chance.
29:31 Caller Must be all the corn, yeah.
29:32 Adam All right.
29:33 Drew Some people are just nice out there.
29:35 Adam Yeah, they're nicer. They don't want as much.
29:39 Caller Debatable statement.
29:40 Adam They're not a pain in the ass.
29:41 Caller Hey, can I give a piece of advice real quick?
29:43 Adam Yeah.
29:44 Caller To the Carmen chick, a Vino with oatmeal and to the, I can't remember what her name was, Carrie maybe?
29:51 Adam What was Carmen's question?
29:52 Drew Wait, hang on a second.
29:52 Caller Carmen was the tummy on the tummy.
29:54 Drew Yeah, she didn't say it itches.
29:56 Caller No, a Vino will clear up the rash.
29:58 Drew A Vino is for itching.
29:59 Caller No, the Vino with oatmeal will clear up the rash.
30:02 Adam All right. Well, listen, what do you want to... For Christ's sake, who's got time to spread a Vino? What is a Vino? An oatmeal on your belly.
30:09 Caller Honestly, would you rather have little marks on your stomach?
30:13 Adam Absolutely. Oh, my God. Then spread oatmeal on my belly before I went to bed?
30:17 Caller It's not oatmeal. It's a Vino with oatmeal.
30:20 Drew Deanna, let the dermatology be done by doctors.
30:23 Adam All right. Wait a minute. Ooh, Drew.
30:26 Drew It's bizarre.
30:28 Caller Okay, if I don't get this depo shot next month and I wanted to go back to taking orthotrycycline by itself, is there any way to get around the morning sickness stuff as far as the symptoms go with the pill? Because I come down with basically every one of your pregnancy symptoms.
30:44 Drew Because you take it every single, no matter how long you take the pill for, that stays with you?
30:48 Caller Yeah. I stopped taking it when I got the shot because I wasn't sure if it would do anything to it.
30:53 Adam What's your mom do? Is she a nurse?
30:55 Caller No, but she does work in a hospital.
30:56 Caller Yeah.
30:57 Adam I got that vibe out of you.
31:00 Caller All right. All right.
31:00 Adam Good times. I've had enough of Diana.
31:04 Drew You can try a different dose of the birth control pill. But the ortho trisecond is the only one that's been actually approved for the acne treatment. Some of the other ones will be helpful also though.
31:13 Adam I wonder what her mom does. I knew she worked in a hospital.
31:16 Drew Phlebotomist. Pharmacy tech.
31:18 Adam Yeah. Something went right there for me.
31:21 Drew Yeah.
31:22 Okay.
31:23 Drew Let's find out.
31:24 Yeah.
31:24 Adam It's funny I want mom too.
31:25 Drew Yeah.
31:26 Isn't it?
31:27 Adam And Diana?
31:28 Caller Yeah.
31:28 Adam What's your mom do at the hospital?
31:30 Caller She is the Director of Performance Improvements, Nurse Management.
31:33 Drew And she's not a nurse?
31:34 Caller No.
31:35 Adam Okay.
31:36 Drew Very good.
31:37 Adam Take care, baby. All right. All right. Oh, boy. She's going to be a ball buster one day. John?
31:43 Yeah.
31:43 Adam You're 16?
31:44 Caller Yeah, I am.
31:45 Adam What's up?
31:46 Caller Well, just recently, say a couple days ago, my girlfriend said, I love you.
31:51 I love you.
31:53 Caller Okay. Hold on.
31:54 Adam Was that Anderson? I never heard that before.
31:57 Caller No, me neither. All right.
31:58 Adam Go ahead.
31:59 Caller She said, I love you and I felt that I had to say it back.
32:03 Caller Yeah.
32:03 Caller So it wouldn't be an awkward moment.
32:05 Adam Of course.
32:07 Caller I was just wanting some advice to see if it would hurt the relationship because I talked to her about it and she said, I'm sorry if that made you feel uncomfortable.
32:15 Caller All right.
32:17 Adam Look, John, this whole I love you nonsense, it's made way too much of, I don't know how many people I've loved in my life. I don't see any of them anymore. It's fine. You just say it. Maybe you feel it. Maybe you don't. Who knows what it is.
32:31 Drew Maybe you're not sure. Yeah.
32:32 Adam Maybe you feel like you love them for that week or that day or that moment. Maybe you don't later on. It ain't that big a deal. I'm not saying lie to people, but if someone says they love you, unless it's a situation where, you know, you don't want to give them the wrong idea, you're not interested in them. You don't want to date them. But all of this like, hey, we're dating, we're exclusive, but I'm not going to say I love you.
32:58 Drew It doesn't make sense, does it?
32:59 Adam No. Why not?
33:01 Drew I think people are afraid.
33:02 Adam Why are you making it tough on yourself?
33:03 Drew They're afraid of the implication, that it means some sort of commitment that they can't live up to.
33:06 Adam But Drew, do you remember when you thought it meant something? Before you were married and you realized it was just a sham, your life was over. You know what I'm saying? Thank you. No, here's what I mean. I don't mean to sound that jaded. I remember being John's age and thinking, should I say I love you? No, I'm not going to say I love you. No, I'm going to hang on to this. I'm going to save it for someone I marry. I'm going to save it for my soulmate. Ridiculous. Love is just one of the many words that's in the American lexicon for showing affection. It should be saved for a special person. But if you're going to be with this person and you're not going to dump them in the next couple of weeks, then just say it. Make it easy on yourself and make them feel good. And get a little extra oral. Alright, John?
34:00 Caller Alright.
34:00 Adam Yeah, don't freak out.
34:02 Caller Okay.
34:02 Adam You know what? You're going to say it to 25 more women in your life. You'll probably be shouting it out at strip clubs 15 years from now. Loaded.
34:11 Drew I think that's the thing. The perspective doesn't have.
34:14 Adam Okay.
34:15 Caller Alright.
34:15 Adam Alright, buddy.
34:16 Caller Alright, thanks.
34:17 Adam Take care. Hey, John.
34:18 Caller Yeah.
34:19 Caller I love you, man.
34:20 Caller I love you too, man.
34:21 Adam Alright. Alright. Now, we're getting somewhere.
34:23 Drew I love you too, man.
34:26 Adam Alright. Let's take ourselves a little break. Jenna is 16 when we come back. Now, you don't want to talk to her? Who do you want to talk to? We'll talk to John who's 20 wants to know, how does he help a friend get out of a verbally abusive relationship? I'm guessing it's a female friend. John?
34:47 Caller Yes.
34:48 Adam Female friend?
34:49 Caller Yes.
34:49 Adam Okay. We're going to take a break and we're going to get back with you, alright?
34:52 Caller Okay.
34:53 Adam I love you, man.
34:54 Caller I love you too, dude.
34:55 Caller Okay. We'll be back.
35:11 Adam Hey, everybody. It's Loveline. I'm Adam Corolla. It's my good bud over there, Dr. Drew. Phone number 1-800-LOVE-191. Let's hop back to the phones. Let's speak to young John, who's 20. John? Yes. What's up?
35:30 Caller Well, my friend, she, I believe she's in an abusive relationship through what she told me, and I think she knows it herself. But I think she's afraid to get out of it because he's really...
35:41 Drew I think John's into this girl. What do you think, Adam?
35:43 Caller Well, honestly, I am. But the fact of the matter is, is he is truly controlling. He doesn't like her going out with her friends. He refuses.
35:51 Drew Hey, well, that's what she likes. She picked that guy.
35:53 Caller Actually, she's contemplating breaking up, and she's trying... Like, she's looking for people to tell her, so I mean...
36:00 Drew No, she's not looking for people to tell her.
36:01 Caller I gave her a book on abusive relationships, like, because a lot of... Because I read it, and a lot of things she described to me was in that book.
36:09 Drew That's good. I think that was an excellent move. Now, beyond that, it's up to her. And you're motivated by your own desire to be with this woman, right? So you're really not just motivated out of a desire to help her.
36:21 Caller Well, I also told her that I have a biased opinion towards it, so don't just take my advice on it.
36:26 Drew You told her you want to have a relationship.
36:29 Caller Well, she knows that, and we always joke around about it because we were together at one point. And she also even told me. And I believe it's referring to me because she's like, well, I know there's other people that I'm more suited and would have a better relationship with.
36:44 Drew How long ago were you with her?
36:46 Caller I'd say maybe...
36:46 Adam 1971.
36:47 Caller No.
36:48 Caller Or 2011.
36:49 Caller Maybe a year ago.
36:50 Drew And how long did you stay together?
36:52 Caller Probably about two to three months, and then we remained very close.
36:58 Drew Why did that break up?
37:00 Caller I just got out of a relationship and I wasn't ready, so I told her I need to step back. I don't want to jump into something with you.
37:09 Adam Hold on. This is not computing. You didn't have sex with her, did you?
37:13 Caller Oh, yes.
37:14 Caller You did.
37:16 Adam You had sex with her.
37:18 Caller Yes.
37:18 Adam Do you think you're in love with her?
37:20 Caller I don't know if I'd go that far. I do have a lot of feelings and I care for her and...
37:25 Adam And you stepped back and got out of the relationship.
37:28 Caller Because, yes, because I still had feelings for my ex and I felt it wasn't fair to her, you know, because I mean I had just gotten out of a relationship. Maybe...
37:36 Adam Hold on a second. Drew and I have to talk about this guy behind his back.
37:40 Drew Does not compute.
37:40 Adam Still had feelings for his ex. Still has feelings for this one. He's got a lot of feelings, this guy. I don't trust a man with feelings. I like a guy who can just put a cigarette out on his cheek and it doesn't even blink. Now, is he bi? Is he gay?
37:56 Drew No.
37:56 Adam No. Is he using all this sort of psycho babble feeling stuff to sort of be a caring guy but yet not ever be really in a relationship?
38:06 Drew Could be.
38:08 Adam Could be. Isn't that the vibe it kind of gives you?
38:10 Drew Yeah, but why would he have to go? Is he doing the thing that you did where you behave a certain way, you leave and then beg to come back, don't worry, I'll be different this time, and you come back and you're the same as you were?
38:20 Adam Well, not that day.
38:22 Drew I understand.
38:22 Adam I mean, I'm good for that day.
38:24 Drew A few days, yeah, I understand.
38:25 Adam Well, so yeah, it's a day, day and a half, yeah.
38:27 Drew Yeah, but either that or this is something wrong here. In other words, he's leaving out one important piece, which is what's going on with the girl.
38:35 Adam Yeah, so now, what about your ex, the one before this girl?
38:39 Caller Oh, we've been completely done with her. I mean, I wasn't bothered that she got into the new relationship. I mean, I didn't expect her to wait. So, I mean, I have no hard feelings. I mean, we've remained actually.
38:50 Drew It's all so rational. It's like, wait, it was missing. What was she up to when you were involved with her a year ago? Was she totally into this relationship?
39:00 Caller Actually, yeah, she told me she loved me after about three weeks. And I asked her, I was like, how can you say that after three weeks? I mean, I even asked her later, I'm like, do you honestly, did you honestly feel you love me? And she said, yeah.
39:12 Drew And that freaked you out. And she thought, I got to get out of here. And that's it.
39:15 Caller I love you.
39:16 Caller And then it did kind of weird me out that it happened that quick.
39:19 Caller All right.
39:20 Caller That I was like, well, you know, a girl.
39:22 Caller All right.
39:22 Adam Well, listen, you gave her the book. She's going to break up with this guy who's verbally abusive. And then maybe you get back together with her. But I don't trust either one of you in the long term.
39:33 Caller Yeah. I mean, if that happens, that happens. I mean, if not, right. Want to see her happy and like away from that sort of thing. I mean, he's 30 and she's like 20.
39:42 Drew OK. And he's not physically threatening to her at all, is he?
39:47 Caller He's done some strange things. They broke up once before. And he was probably like an hour away from her. And he's like, hey, I'm in the area. You know, do you mind if I stop by and I happen to be over? And he's like, she's like, no, not at all. You know, Jay's over blah, blah, blah. He's like, all right, well, I'll be there in a minute. I'm out in front of your house. And like, he pulled in the parking lot or the driveway. I was like, all right, I'm here.
40:07 Adam All right. Hey, John, what do you do? You're a big thinker, right? Do a lot of thinking?
40:13 Caller Yeah, I do a lot of writing.
40:14 Adam Yeah, don't write. Don't think.
40:16 Caller Do you go to college?
40:17 Caller I do go to college. And I go and I work.
40:20 Adam OK, easy on the writing and the thinking and the reading.
40:24 Caller All right?
40:25 Adam You need to do a little more drinking and wrestle with your friends. OK, but you need some buddies to make fun of you. A lot of guys are kept in line by their buddies who make fun of them.
40:37 Drew Right, keeps them out of their head.
40:39 Adam And then there's guys who don't have buddies who make fun of them. And basically, they just start spinning out of control. They start writing a lot of poetry and wearing bad sandals. And no one does anything to stop them. Everyone needs a couple of buddies to get them, keep them in check. Tell them the sandals look gay, slap the pen out of their hand and tell them we're playing paintball. You know what I'm saying? I think you could have used one of those buddies. Lisa, you're 23?
41:04 Caller Yes, I am.
41:06 Adam What's up?
41:07 Caller Hi. I have a situation that I wanted to get some information from you guys on.
41:12 Adam All right, go ahead.
41:14 Caller Okay, I recently caught my husband looking at porno sites on the internet.
41:23 Adam Holy Christ.
41:24 Drew Have him arrested immediately.
41:26 Caller Yeah, and my question was, can you wait a second? I'm sorry about that. Okay, I'll be right down. Give me five minutes.
41:36 Drew Twenty-three, I couldn't imagine doing that.
41:38 Caller And...
41:41 Adam How old is you? How many kids do you have?
41:43 Caller I have two. How old is your husband? If you wait a second, I'll give you a candy. Can you wait five minutes? Thank you.
41:49 Adam Five minutes, that's a lifetime.
41:51 Caller Two minutes.
41:53 Caller Okay.
41:54 Caller Well, here's what my question was, was that if they do... I know it's normal for guys to do that, and that's why I'm trying to accept it, but I feel insecure. I feel that if I was good enough for him, or I pleased him, I would have no reason to look at those sites.
42:14 Caller Right.
42:14 Adam Well, that's the way you feel, but you're wrong.
42:17 Drew That's not the way males are put together, unfortunately.
42:19 Adam Right.
42:20 Caller At all.
42:21 Adam That's the way women are put together, and I think they transfer it to males.
42:24 Drew They insist that men...
42:26 Adam Males aren't put together that way.
42:28 Caller So do you think something's wrong with me, then?
42:29 Drew There's something wrong with you for being so uptight about this, yes. You're fat.
42:32 Caller It is normal for you guys to feel that way.
42:34 Adam Yes.
42:35 Drew Men have a need to look.
42:38 Caller But if they're happy with what they are...
42:39 Drew Doesn't matter. They could be ecstatic.
42:42 Adam Look.
42:42 Drew Whoever's married to Claudia Schifferer still looks.
42:45 Adam Yeah.
42:46 Caller I doubt that.
42:47 Drew No. We guarantee it.
42:49 Adam Hey, Lisa. If this is what you really believe, if you know this little about human behavior, those kids could be taken away from you.
42:58 Caller Well, I mean, there are girls out there that use toys or also look at magazines or whatever. And I'm not one of them. I mean, it's not the norm for everyone.
43:11 Drew It's the norm for men. The whole industry is there, not for women, for men.
43:16 Adam You know how many guys attend the car show each year out here in LA.? Probably 50,000 people walk through those doors.
43:23 Drew Not people.
43:24 Adam Guys, you know how many of those guys actually buy cars?
43:27 Drew Zero.
43:27 Adam Two.
43:28 Drew Two of the 50,000. I'm surprised there are two.
43:31 Adam Why are they looking if they ain't buying? Because that's what guys do. We like to keep an eye open. We like to look at stuff.
43:38 Caller Does it turn you on? Does it help you when you are with your partner? Does it enhance your sensibility? I don't know. I just want an answer. I just want to know. Because this is new to me. We've been married for seven years. This has come up within the last, I would say, year and a half.
43:57 Adam Well, look, he's been hiding it. That's why.
44:00 Drew He's been doing it all along.
44:02 Caller But there are guys out there that don't.
44:03 Adam No, no, no. No one I would hang out with. That's for a goddamn trick.
44:08 Drew Well, Lisa, that's fine. You can not believe it. But then you're going to continue to be confused about this.
44:12 Adam Hey, Lisa.
44:13 Caller I think I probably called her wrong.
44:15 Adam Lisa, okay, Lisa, let me ask you something. How often are you correct in your instincts about men?
44:24 Caller I would say about...
44:27 Adam About zero...
44:28 Caller .one to ten, maybe. Well, I mean, well, percentage-wise.
44:31 Adam Listen, you have...
44:31 Caller I would say about maybe 60% of the time.
44:34 Adam No.
44:35 Caller As far as they say...
44:35 Adam You have zero instincts.
44:37 Caller And...
44:37 Adam You know nothing.
44:38 Caller Well, then, how do I... How do I know what he's doing? I mean, how have I caught him?
44:43 Adam Well, listen, busting a guy is one thing. Knowing his motivation is another. It's easy. All you do is walk in and he's sitting on a computer. You check the files that he's stored and you see what he's been looking at. This is going to be a real long relationship for you, Lisa, if you keep going down this path.
45:01 Drew With any man.
45:02 Adam Yes, if you got issues, then you should talk about those issues with him.
45:06 Drew Did something happen when you were growing up?
45:08 Caller I've been trying to talk to him about it and to me it just doesn't seem right. It doesn't seem morally right.
45:15 Adam Well, listen, if a guy is married, he shouldn't spend all his time looking at porn.
45:19 Drew No, that's for sure.
45:20 Adam If he checks it out once in a while, that's fine. All right.
45:27 Caller And manually stimulating himself, I mean, is that normal for men as well?
45:32 Adam He's beaten off?
45:34 Caller Yeah.
45:34 Adam Yeah, that's normal. Is he pulling out of the relationship? Is he talking to you?
45:40 Caller Is he talking to me about what's going on?
45:42 Adam No, I mean, just is he fulfilling your needs? How often do you guys have sex?
45:47 Caller About once or twice a week, which, I mean, I feel like I'm fulfilling his needs, so.
45:53 Drew You are, I'm sure you are. That's not the issue here at all.
45:56 Adam All right, Lisa, stop thinking so much about him. You know, let him look at his porn and beat off.
46:02 Caller Well, I mean, it does worry me because I wasn't, growing up, I wasn't exposed to that. And I, it's going to be hard for me to accept it if I do.
46:16 Adam Well, then why don't you talk to him about it?
46:19 Caller I have. And I'm calling you because to me, I just wanted an answer as to why.
46:24 Adam Okay. Okay.
46:25 Drew But listen, Lisa, when you get the answer, though, you don't want to hear it.
46:27 Adam We got to take a break. You called and asked us if this was normal, if this was healthy, if this was okay. We said yes, yes, and yes. And you said, no, it's not. So why don't you call a religion on the line and talk to the guy, find someone who will agree with you. That seems to be your MO. Well, we were telling you how it worked and you didn't want to hear about it. We'll take a break.
46:49 Caller Loveline, we'll be right back.
46:52 Adam Hey, everybody, it's Loveline, I'm Adam. That's Drew. Phone number 1-800-LLVE-191. And it's back to the phones we go to speak to Frank, who's 21, Frank.
47:05 Caller Yeah. Hey. I actually have a couple of problems, but the first one, I'm not sure if this is a personal problem or if this is a physical problem. I'm not sure, but I have a girlfriend who is, she's actually two years older than I am. But it seems as if when we, you know, do it, I don't seem to get aroused like I used to.
47:36 Drew With her?
47:37 Caller Right. And I'm not sure what's going on. Like when I was 16 or 17, I could, you know, I would go up fine, you know.
47:50 Drew Are you wanting medication?
47:51 Caller No, I didn't really want to do that. I didn't think I needed to go that far.
47:56 Drew No, no, no, no, no. Are you wanting medication that might be causing the problem?
48:01 Caller Oh, oh, no, no.
48:03 Drew And could it just be this relationship isn't going to work?
48:06 Caller Well, the thing is, I can look at Playboys or Pornos or anything like that and it will work.
48:13 Drew Yeah, but you're not in an intimate relationship with those women. Maybe this relationship isn't working quite so well and the feelings you're having are sort of conflicted and preventing this from working.
48:24 Adam Frank, where are you calling from?
48:25 Caller Los Angeles.
48:32 Caller Hello.
48:33 Drew What the hell was that?
48:36 Adam That was good timing. It was ironic because when I said, where are you calling from? I didn't mean what city. I mean, are you in a convenience store? You sound like you're standing in a locker room at a Y. A lot going on. What was that? Was that a cell phone ringing?
48:53 Drew Something like that.
48:54 Caller I don't know.
48:55 Adam Okay. So.
48:56 Drew Anyway, thumbs up for that relationship.
48:58 Adam Yes. But on top of that.
49:00 Drew Thumbs up with Frank.
49:01 Adam Frank sounded like a deeply troubled and depressed young soul. And he's focusing a lot of energy on the relationship and the sex and his beaten off and all that good stuff. But it really sounds like he's pretty depressed. And I would bet that magically, if he worked a little on that depression, some of the other problems would clear up as well. All right. Let's talk to Jenna, who's 16. Jenna?
49:27 Caller Hello there.
49:27 Adam Hey.
49:28 Caller I have a question for Dr. Drew.
49:29 Drew Yeah.
49:30 Caller I was wondering if there could be any dangerous side effects if a non-depressed person took Xantex once.
49:38 Drew What's the medicine?
49:39 Caller Xantex.
49:40 Xantex, I think.
49:41 Caller It's an antidepressant, I was told.
49:42 Adam Xanax?
49:44 Caller Xanax. I'm sorry. Yes, Xanax.
49:45 Drew The anxiety medicine, Xanax. And what are you taking it for?
49:49 Caller Well, I'm going on a trip and I'm terrified of flying and someone told me that that would really help a lot.
49:55 Drew Yeah, well, Xanax is good for fear for flying, but make sure there's no family history of alcoholism or addiction.
50:00 Caller Well, there is a huge family history of alcoholism.
50:03 Drew I would avoid that drug.
50:04 Caller Really?
50:04 Drew I really would. Even a single, I know it may be overreacting to say even a single exposure, but I would.
50:10 Adam Well, she's got to fly.
50:11 Drew Yeah.
50:12 Adam She's freaked out about flying.
50:13 Drew You yourself have no momentum with any substances?
50:16 Adam No.
50:16 Caller Well, I smoke cigarettes, but that's about it.
50:19 Drew You can get by with one or a couple of times.
50:22 Adam I take one.
50:23 Drew But definitely don't take it more than that.
50:24 Adam A couple of Bloody Marys? No.
50:27 Caller So, that would be fine. What would happen, though, if I were to react badly? Would I have like a full-on anxiety attack? No.
50:33 Adam No, you wouldn't fall asleep.
50:34 Drew Yeah, it's a good medicine. It's a great medicine when used properly.
50:37 Adam Where are you going?
50:38 Caller Europe.
50:39 Adam All right. You take that Xanax, you fall asleep on the plane, you wake up in gateway area.
50:43 Drew In fact, I happen to believe that's sort of one of the treatments for fear of flying is you give people medicine while they're having that experience and they begin learning they can fly without having anxiety, anxiety on couples with the experience and they're okay.
50:53 Adam Yeah, I used to be scared to fly and then I discovered booze. You know the thing that's funny about me now? Well, not funny, haha, but funny, weird, funny, sad, funny, peculiar. I'm not a big drinker, although I will drink. Oh, yes.
51:09 Drew No s.
51:09 Adam Do not kid yourself. I will drink. And I will drink usually at night, late at night.
51:15 Drew Now?
51:17 Adam Now? Now my schedule.
51:18 Drew This is your pattern now, you're saying?
51:20 Adam My schedule is come home after Loveline, 12, 30 at night.
51:25 Drew Have a bottle of wine.
51:26 Adam Have a couple glasses. Not even full glasses, just sort of small glasses of wine. Usually so wiped out I go to bed. Everything's cool. Never drink during the day. But when I travel.
51:37 Drew I've traveled with you.
51:37 Caller Yeah.
51:39 Adam If I got a 7 a.m. flight out of LAX, if I don't have a high ball in my hand by 7 15, I'm Jones.
51:46 Drew 7 15? I see you walk on those planes. Hey, where's the Bloody Mary?
51:51 Adam I don't know why, but I now associate flying with booze.
51:55 Drew Hey, waitress. Waitress.
51:57 Adam Listen, whatever they call them, sky waitress, chop chop, champagne, orange juice. No, how about a Bloody Mary? I flew to San Francisco a couple of weekends ago. It's a Saturday. It's 10 in the morning. I'm in LAX. Oh, yeah. I'm at the bar.
52:13 Drew Oh, no doubt.
52:14 Adam And you want that extra shot of vodka for a buck? Oh, yes.
52:18 Drew It's not because you're afraid of flying, though.
52:20 Adam No, not really. I now associate flying and airports with getting loaded.
52:25 Drew Last time I was afraid of playing, you and I were on a 30s theater with Elaine in front of us opening her paper. Remember this?
52:32 Adam Yeah.
52:32 Drew You're elbowing me as hard as you can into the ribs. Look at this, pointing at the paper in front of us.
52:37 Adam Yeah. I was really sure I was going to die that day.
52:39 Drew Yeah. We were going into a thunderstorm in a prop plane with about 30 people on board. Maybe 25. It wasn't even that big.
52:45 Adam But Drew, that story had many layers to it.
52:49 Drew Was that when we got stuck in Iowa?
52:51 Adam Yeah. Here's what happened, everybody.
52:52 Drew Yeah.
52:53 Adam I didn't like to fly. And I managed to avoid it from age zero to about 30, 31. I never flew. I lived in the valley, work in construction. Where the hell was I going? Then I met up with Drew. I really took his career. And we started traveling around, going to these colleges. We started going to these little crappy colleges all over the country. And next thing you know, we're sitting in the Cincinnati. No. We're sitting in the St. Louis Airport. And we're flying into Alabama. Right. And they're talking about thunderstorms. And they're talking about clouds. And they're talking about rain. And they're talking about a plane that got hit by lightning the day before.
53:31 Drew Right. That same plane?
53:32 Adam That's right. And we're getting on a little plane, a little prop plane, about a 25 seater. But it was a small plane.
53:40 Drew Well, one seat on one side and two on the other.
53:43 Adam Right. There was 25 people stuffed into it, but it was a small plane. And we're running late. And the later we run, the more the clouds gather. And we're trying to beat this storm into Alabama. And we're delayed. And another hour goes by. And another hour goes by. And meanwhile, we're getting these weather reports about these thunderstorms that are that are starting to form over Alabama. And then we finally get out onto the plane and they fire up the engines and smoke starts coming out of the left side wing engine. Right?
54:14 Drew I'm banging like crazy.
54:16 Adam I'm looking out of it and there's smoke pouring out of it. So they shut the thing down. Then the pilot announces that we're overweight, that we need to take a piece of luggage off. And this is the thing that's scary is that we are overweight by about 30 pounds. We're maximum weight for this plane to fly. So if we throw a piece of luggage off that's 33 pounds, we're fine. We're now fine. But to me, that means we're just a couple of pounds away from maximum overloaded weight, which is not making me feel good, especially since we're heading into a thunderstorm. And the left engine still has smoke coming out of it. They shut the engine down. A mechanic comes by, takes a look at it, doesn't do anything, just takes a look, thumps it, kicks it. They fire it up again. More smoke comes out. They shut the engine down again. The guy comes around again, takes a look at it. Then they start talking again about the thunderstorm that's forming over Alabama.
55:08 Drew Then you made a great comment, which was, I don't know any engine problem that's solved by starting and restarting the engine.
55:13 Adam Especially with the black smoke pouring out. I figure the guy turned a bearing or threw a rod or something. Then they fire it up one more time after doing nothing to it. The big plume of black smoke still comes out, but the guy goes, well, we're going for it. It didn't solve much. It didn't feel like we'd resolved anything. It was just like, well, an hour ago, we thought we're going to fix this. Now, we just decided to screw it. We're going with it.
55:40 Drew And it started. We kept turning, too.
55:41 Adam Kept turning. And the thunderstorm is forming over Alabama and it's getting dark and we're two hours late and let's just roll. And I was thinking, holy Christ, what the hell are we doing here? And so we started going. The wind's blowing. It's dark. It's starting to rain and everything. And as we're taxing a woman who's sitting in front of me, and Drew, you did not see this.
56:03 Drew But you started hammering me.
56:05 Adam But you didn't know how to process this information. And she opens a full, she opens the USA Today. There's a full page ad for the Roberto Clemente story. He is the baseball player who died in the plane crash.
56:17 Drew Cut down on his prime.
56:18 Adam Cut down on his prime, Roberto Clemente. I'm looking at a full page of Roberto Clemente. I've never seen a full page ad for Roberto Clemente. The guy died in like 1969 over Cuba or something, or the Dominican Republic. And there's never been, to my knowledge, a big-budget USA movie made about the guy's life. And here I am staring at a full page of Roberto Clemente, and I'm thinking, well, if this ain't a sign. I just realized, I just said, look, God has now given me three or four major signs to get off this plane. And I don't think God tells you to do stuff. I think he gives you clues. And if you don't follow him, then he thinks, screw you. I'll see you in ten. And I'm looking at this Roberto Clemente thing, and nobody else in the plane is hip to Roberto Clemente, or this picture, or what's going on. And I'm just staring at it the whole time. I'm fixated. Even the woman is looking at the paper. She's not actually looking at that page. I'm just staring at a full page shot of Roberto Clemente.
57:15 Drew In fact, you went, Roberto Clemente. Roberto Clemente.
57:20 Adam We're going.
57:22 Caller Well, back to the point.
57:23 Adam That's right. Well, the plane crashed and we all died.
57:26 Drew That's it.
57:27 Adam Michelle?
57:28 Yes.
57:28 Adam You're 28?
57:29 Caller Yes.
57:29 Adam What's up?
57:31 Caller Me and my husband have been married approximately four years. And at first, the, yeah, our sexual life has been good. My son is almost five. I've been wanting more kids. But we haven't been able to, well, we haven't exactly been having sex for the past four months.
57:51 Caller How come?
57:54 Caller I don't know. That's the thing. I'm trying to figure it out.
57:56 Drew What does he say when you ask him?
57:58 Caller I'm tired. He sleeps. He'd rather sleep.
58:04 Adam Is he stressed out? Is he working a lot?
58:07 Caller He's working, but...
58:09 Drew Do you smoke a bunch of pot or drink a lot?
58:11 Caller No, he used to.
58:13 Drew Used to?
58:13 Caller Yeah.
58:14 Adam Back when he was getting it on, right?
58:16 Caller No, not even when we started our relationship. He, because of the type of job he had, he couldn't do it anymore.
58:23 Drew Is it possible he's doing something else?
58:25 Caller Um, no. I doubt it. No.
58:29 Adam Well, she would know. He doesn't seem out of it.
58:31 Caller No.
58:32 Drew Yeah, people don't stop.
58:33 Caller He's perfectly fine. It's just he's, he just doesn't have the urge anymore and I'm...
58:38 Drew Well, that's not perfectly fine. There's something going on. Is he on medication?
58:41 Caller No.
58:43 Adam Have you said to him, hey, let's get it on?
58:46 Caller Yeah, you know, after a certain while, you get tired of being rejected.
58:50 Adam So he just says no, huh?
58:52 Caller He wouldn't say no, he'll just...
58:54 Adam Make up an excuse.
58:55 Drew I find it bizarre when men reject their wife like that.
58:58 Caller Really?
58:59 Drew Unless they're really completely checked out.
59:01 Adam Yeah, I've done that.
59:02 Drew Yeah, I mean, once in a while.
59:03 Adam I mean, no, you're a passionate, passionate, passionate man, Drew. I mean, you'd rape a knothole on a piece of plywood. But there are guys like myself who...
59:12 Drew Lazy.
59:13 Adam Well, we like napping.
59:14 Drew Lazy.
59:14 Adam Yeah, we like to relax.
59:15 Drew Yeah, but this like...
59:16 Adam Sex takes energy.
59:17 Drew What's the year for this?
59:18 Adam Well, four months, right?
59:19 Drew Oh, four months?
59:20 Caller Well, four months and, you know...
59:21 Adam Okay. Well, something's up.
59:23 Drew You're fat.
59:24 Adam True.
59:25 Caller Please. No, I'm nowhere near fat.
59:28 Adam Is... And your kid is how old?
59:31 Caller He'll be five.
59:32 Caller Okay.
59:33 Adam Why don't you talk to one? I mean, see, I know... Here's what happens, Michelle. You're angry. I mean, you're put off.
59:41 Caller I'm not angry. It's just, you know...
59:42 Drew She doesn't sound that angry, though. She should be angry.
59:45 Adam No, you're right. No, I didn't... You're right. I didn't mean to lay that on you. What I'm saying is, is you don't feel like you should be going to him. He should be coming to you.
59:53 Caller Exactly.
59:53 Adam But he's not coming to you.
59:55 Caller Correct.
59:55 Adam So you gotta go to him and you gotta say, look, I know this is uncomfortable. I know it may be embarrassing. I want to know what's going on for the sake of the relationship, the family.
1:00:04 Drew You could be depressed. You could be using drugs. Why don't you... Yeah, no pressure.
1:00:07 Caller We're good perfectly together. We have no problems when we're together.
1:00:12 Drew But there's something wrong.
1:00:13 Adam This means something.
1:00:14 Drew Yeah, it means something. Exactly.
1:00:16 Adam So just tell them. Give them an excuse or give them a reason or an opportunity to make things right. Maybe he'll tell you he's depressed or he's angry or he's bored or he's tired.
1:00:26 Drew I think women go down the path that he must be having an affair then. No, guys when they have an affair, they're extra nice. They're on their best behavior then. You know what I'm saying? That's when they start buying you stuff.
1:00:37 Adam Right, the plan when you're having an affair is not to have any time for you to be pulled aside and ask questions. Hey, what's up?
1:00:46 Drew Right.
1:00:46 Adam You want to keep it good. It's like the bank employee who's casing the place.
1:00:52 Drew This is why we don't trust guys that are romantic.
1:00:54 Adam That's right. Trail of petals to the rose petals to the bathtub with the candles and the salts in it.
1:01:01 Drew He's up to something.
1:01:04 Adam Yeah, this guy ain't up to ass.
1:01:06 Drew No.
1:01:06 Adam He's up to nothing.
1:01:08 Drew He's doing speed or something. He's up to something like that.
1:01:10 Adam Yeah. Or he could be just depressed and kind of checking out. Becky?
1:01:16 Hi, guys. How you doing?
1:01:17 Adam You're 15. What's up?
1:01:19 Caller Adam, you're a god, first of all.
1:01:20 Adam Thanks. Thank you. Whatever. That's so true.
1:01:25 Caller Second of all, earlier I was throwing up and...
1:01:29 Drew Earlier tonight?
1:01:30 Caller Yeah.
1:01:31 Caller From what?
1:01:32 Drew From what?
1:01:34 Caller I'm fat. I think I'm really fat, so...
1:01:37 Drew You have bulimia?
1:01:38 Caller Not really.
1:01:39 Caller I do it very infrequently.
1:01:41 Drew Becky, doing it at all is bulimia.
1:01:44 Adam Well, you do it once a year, you're fine.
1:01:46 Caller Well, not once a year. A little more than a month, but... Becky?
1:01:48 Adam How often?
1:01:50 Caller Like once a month or something.
1:01:53 Drew Do other people consider you fat?
1:01:55 Caller No.
1:01:56 Drew Right. That's bulimia.
1:01:57 Adam How tall are you?
1:01:58 Caller Five-three.
1:01:59 Adam How much do you weigh?
1:02:01 Caller One-forty.
1:02:02 Adam One-forty.
1:02:03 Caller Yeah, that's a lot.
1:02:04 Caller No, it's not a lot.
1:02:05 Adam Depends how your build is.
1:02:08 Caller Well, I don't have a really small build.
1:02:11 Caller I have a little bit of a big build.
1:02:13 Drew That's the point.
1:02:15 Adam That's your cut.
1:02:17 Caller Yeah, so, and like my throat was bleeding a little bit.
1:02:21 Drew What do you mean your throat was bleeding?
1:02:22 Caller Like, when I was starting up, in the syrup there was like blood.
1:02:25 Drew Okay, that's very serious.
1:02:27 Caller And...
1:02:28 Drew You can bleed to death from that bleeding.
1:02:30 Caller No, it was very little.
1:02:31 Drew I understand, but you don't know how much bleeding is going on in your stomach.
1:02:34 Adam Well, how do you know it came from your throat? That's what Drew's point.
1:02:36 Drew Well, it's coming from your stomach. It's almost often, it comes from something called a Mallory Weiss tear, which is a tear where the stomach meets the esophagus. And that bleeding can be quite brisk and quite severe sometimes.
1:02:46 Caller Right, the thing is though, it wasn't like, usually when blood hits water, it kind of like spreads out and, you know, colors the water.
1:02:53 Drew It's cloth, it's like coffee grounds.
1:02:54 Caller Yeah, with the cloth.
1:02:55 Drew Yeah, which again, there may be more in there and that's where it becomes dangerous.
1:03:00 Caller Even if I do it like very infrequently?
1:03:03 Drew I don't know, no one wants to hear what I'm saying tonight. Maybe I'm just tired.
1:03:06 Adam No, I'm not interested either.
1:03:08 Drew Well, okay, maybe.
1:03:09 Adam I'm with you, Becky. Hey, Becky.
1:03:11 Yeah.
1:03:12 Adam At 15, this is not a great road to go down for you.
1:03:16 Caller Well, I'm already insane, so.
1:03:18 Adam What's the matter?
1:03:19 Caller Well, I called like a little like last week or whatever. I like not take my medication. I've been in two psycho hospitals for like depression and so I can't get more screwed up.
1:03:31 Drew Yeah, you can. Well, you can cause serious medical problems.
1:03:34 Adam You can get dead.
1:03:35 Drew Yeah.
1:03:36 Caller Well, yeah.
1:03:37 Adam I mean, right now, you're just emotionally screwed up. You can fix that theoretically, but the physical stuff, you do permanent damage. That's that. See, here's what we're trying to do. And this should be everyone's goal. Listen up. Do not let your screwed up emotional brain brain have a permanent effect on your physical body that your screwed up emotional brain has to live in, which could actually be cured.
1:04:05 Caller You see what I'm saying?
1:04:07 Adam Yeah, by killing yourself, by doing too many drugs, that kind of stuff, throwing up. So, Becky.
1:04:14 Caller Well, your screwed up emotional brain doesn't care about doing physical damage.
1:04:17 Adam I know. But then one day it gets better, gets in a better place. You get a little therapy and your brain's good. And now your esophagus is screwed.
1:04:25 Caller True.
1:04:25 Adam Okay. So what are you going to do? You going to get a little therapy?
1:04:28 Caller Well, I'm supposed to be seeing a therapist.
1:04:30 Drew Yeah. Tell these people who are taking care of you about this bleeding, okay, because sometimes it's helpful to put you on some medication to shut the acid production down by the stomach.
1:04:40 Adam Okay. See that therapist, baby. Jesus Christ. Fifteen. Alex?
1:04:45 Caller Oh, yeah.
1:04:46 Adam You're 16?
1:04:47 Caller Oh, yeah.
1:04:48 Adam Yeah. What's your problem?
1:04:49 Caller Yeah.
1:04:50 Caller Well, a few days ago, I took some aspirins.
1:04:54 Adam Yeah.
1:04:54 Caller About two of them. Because I have migraines.
1:04:57 Caller Right.
1:04:58 Caller But since that day, I've been feeling paranoid, but I'm not sure why.
1:05:04 Adam From the aspirin?
1:05:05 Caller Yeah.
1:05:05 Drew How much aspirin did you take?
1:05:07 Adam Hold on. That is a lightweight right there.
1:05:09 Caller Yeah, but I don't know why, because I take it every day.
1:05:11 Drew Aspirin?
1:05:12 Caller Yeah.
1:05:12 Drew Are you doing speed?
1:05:13 Caller Huh?
1:05:14 Drew Are you doing any speed?
1:05:16 Caller Excuse me?
1:05:17 Drew Are you doing any speed?
1:05:17 Caller No, I'm not.
1:05:18 Drew Are you doing any pot?
1:05:19 Caller No.
1:05:20 Adam No other drugs?
1:05:21 Caller No other drugs. All right.
1:05:22 Drew You're taking aspirin every day.
1:05:24 Caller Yeah, like daily I'm taking like six, because of my migraines.
1:05:28 Drew What do you mean your migraines?
1:05:30 Caller My head starts hurting very, like, to the point where I drop to the floor.
1:05:36 Drew Okay. Why don't you have those evaluated?
1:05:39 Caller I have, but they never told me anything.
1:05:42 Drew Where did you have those evaluated?
1:05:43 Caller Huh?
1:05:44 Drew Where did you have those evaluated?
1:05:46 Caller I'm not sure, because like, I can't remember right now, like, what's the name of the hospital?
1:05:50 Drew LA County?
1:05:52 Caller No.
1:05:52 Drew Okay. All right. Well, listen, first and foremost, you need to see...
1:05:57 Adam Dr. Drew, keep naming hospitals until the Mayo Clinic.
1:06:01 Drew First and foremost, I just want to make sure it was a hospital, not some sort of, you know, funky whatever.
1:06:06 Caller No, it's a hospital, but I'm not sure. It's like somewhere in the valley.
1:06:09 Adam Kaiser?
1:06:10 Caller Uh, huh?
1:06:11 Adam Did you have Kaiser?
1:06:12 Caller I think that's it.
1:06:13 Adam Did you have to wait in line for a long time?
1:06:15 Caller No, you don't have to wait in line for a long time.
1:06:16 Adam Oh, well, it wasn't a county place. It was over there in Panorama City, maybe?
1:06:20 Caller Something like that.
1:06:21 Drew All right, look, Alex, make sure this isn't a medical problem, and if it isn't, then get that treated. I wonder if the headache and the paranoia are all part of a more global psychiatric syndrome you're getting.
1:06:31 Adam Well, here's the thing, Alex.
1:06:32 Drew Not the aspirin.
1:06:32 Adam They have specific medication for migraines, especially if you're dropping to the floor. So you can go ahead and get that, because aspirin's not going to put a dent in anything. Is it, Drew?
1:06:43 Drew No.
1:06:43 Adam That never makes you feel better, does it?
1:06:45 Drew Well, minor headaches.
1:06:46 Adam Really? Yeah. I don't know. I still think that aspirin's a scam.
1:06:51 Drew Frank's back.
1:06:51 Adam Frank.
1:06:52 Caller Hey.
1:06:53 Drew So where were you calling from there, Frank?
1:06:54 Caller I was calling from my dorm.
1:06:56 Drew Your dorm?
1:06:57 Caller Yeah.
1:06:57 Drew What was that noise that caused you to hang up?
1:07:00 Caller I don't know. I went down to Reachwood into my pocket and my phone clicked off. I was on my cell phone.
1:07:08 Adam All right.
1:07:09 Caller Yeah.
1:07:10 Adam Well, what dorm are you in in Los Angeles?
1:07:13 Caller The River Reach ones.
1:07:16 Adam What college?
1:07:17 Caller The what?
1:07:18 Adam What college?
1:07:19 Caller The what?
1:07:20 Adam Do you go to college?
1:07:21 Caller Yes.
1:07:21 Adam What college?
1:07:23 Caller Santa Monica College.
1:07:24 Adam Holy Christ. They have dorms over there?
1:07:26 Caller No. I live in Los Angeles.
1:07:29 Drew This is a bizarre discussion.
1:07:30 Adam Hang on a second, Frank. I'm going to emotionally regroup. Didn't he say... Yes.
1:07:36 Drew Yes. He's in his dorm.
1:07:39 Adam Okay.
1:07:39 Drew And he said, I live in dorms? No. I live in Los Angeles.
1:07:43 Adam I said, Frank's a little nutty, right? Okay. We're going to take a break. We'll get back with Nutty Frank after this.
1:07:51 Caller Loveline, we'll be right back. Call on the 1-800-LOVE-191.
1:07:56 Caller What's up? This is Aaron from Stained, and you're listening to Loveline with Adam Corolla and Dr. Drew.
1:08:01 Adam That is so true. Phone number 1-800-LOVE-191.
1:08:06 Drew At least it is how much we hate American Airlines.
1:08:09 Adam Drew and I were having a nice conversation about how much we hate American Airlines.
1:08:14 Drew The ticket, the check-in people.
1:08:17 Adam Yes.
1:08:17 Drew The people at the gate.
1:08:19 Adam Yeah, they are. Once you get on the plane, everything is cool.
1:08:22 Drew Yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:08:23 Adam But you're sheep until you get on that plane.
1:08:26 Drew No, sheep are treated much, much more humanely.
1:08:29 Adam What's an animal that's not treated that well?
1:08:31 Caller Goat?
1:08:32 Adam Pig?
1:08:32 Drew Slug.
1:08:36 Adam All right, let's see if we can get to the bottom of Frank over here who's 21 and calling from his dorm that doesn't exist.
1:08:44 Caller Frank? Yeah.
1:08:48 Adam You're having trouble with your girlfriend.
1:08:52 Caller I don't know if it's personal or if it's the physical or not. I don't, I'm not sure.
1:08:56 Caller Okay.
1:08:56 Adam Well, we were saying maybe you're not that into her. Could that be a possibility?
1:09:02 Caller I don't think so. I really, you know, it doesn't seem like that.
1:09:06 Adam Okay. Well, let's talk about you then. Okay. You sound a little nuts, a little anxious, maybe a little depressed.
1:09:15 Caller I don't know. I think it's just with everything. I don't like my job.
1:09:21 Adam That's what we're saying. You don't sound happy.
1:09:24 Caller No, I'm not happy. I mean, I come home from work pissed off all the time. I can't go with my wife. I can't do anything with her. I have to get in the shower to flog the dolphin. Then now I can't even shoot streams anymore with her.
1:09:38 Drew It's your fault, Adam.
1:09:41 Adam I think there's bogus call. Well, no.
1:09:43 Caller What I don't understand is why is it that when I was 16, I could shoot holes through the wall with the stream I had going, but now I can't even do nothing.
1:09:52 Drew You're talking about urinating?
1:09:53 Adam No, I think he's talking about semen. Yes. Would you actually put holes in the wall? Because that's impressive.
1:10:00 Caller Huh?
1:10:00 Caller No.
1:10:02 Adam And now nothing comes out of your penis or it doesn't come out?
1:10:05 Caller No, it does. It's just not the lard that normally.
1:10:08 Adam I see. Okay. Has anyone ever suggested you get on some kind of medication, you know, for your head?
1:10:16 Caller No.
1:10:17 Adam No. Have you ever talked to a therapist or psychologist?
1:10:20 Caller No.
1:10:21 Adam What about that? You sound a little crazy. Do people think you're crazy?
1:10:25 Caller No.
1:10:26 Adam Are you sure? Everyone listening does.
1:10:29 Caller I'm not crazy. I'm just not really focused on myself a lot. I mean, you know, with myself and I don't feel like I'm straight, you know, and sometimes I return to, you know, a little bit of drugs, but that's about it, just to feel, you know, calm myself down. But that's about it.
1:10:45 Drew What drugs are we talking about?
1:10:47 Caller Just, you know, you know, a little bit of, you know, wacky, debacky, and that's about it.
1:10:52 Drew Pot, you're talking about?
1:10:53 Adam Yeah. I'm not so sure. I believe Frank. I really don't. I really, I really think he's putting this on.
1:11:01 Drew I believe him because he's freaking me out a bit.
1:11:03 Adam Do you?
1:11:04 Drew Yeah.
1:11:04 Adam You had hair in the back of your neck standing up?
1:11:06 Drew Exactly.
1:11:07 Adam If you had hair in the back of your neck because you're not a man?
1:11:09 Caller I, you know, I'm just calling for some help, but that's fine.
1:11:12 Drew You know, the hostility is real, I think.
1:11:17 Adam Yeah, but I think it's maybe BS hostility.
1:11:19 Drew No, no, no, I think it's real.
1:11:20 Caller Really?
1:11:21 Adam Hey, Frank, what do you do for a living?
1:11:24 Caller I go to school and that's it.
1:11:25 Adam Oh, I thought you said you come home from your job.
1:11:28 Caller Well, I have an internship and that's about it.
1:11:30 Adam Where do you intern?
1:11:32 Caller Over at Cross Country.
1:11:34 Adam Ah, I have no idea what that is. And is that far away from where you live?
1:11:41 Caller It's about a 20 minute drive.
1:11:42 Adam Alright, you think it would be further with a name like Cross Country. And what do you want to be when you graduate?
1:11:48 Caller I'm studying accounting right now.
1:11:51 Adam Okay. He's one of these guys, Frank's one of these guys, kind of angry, kind of an a-hole, who will never give you an answer. Like, if you go, what do you want to be? He'll tell you what he's studying, but he'll never say an accountant.
1:12:01 Caller No, I told you I want to be an accountant.
1:12:02 Adam No, you didn't say you want to be an accountant.
1:12:04 Caller Well, what do you want to be?
1:12:05 Adam Screw you, you jackass. Now listen, you got to get some therapy.
1:12:10 Caller Now I don't need therapy. I'm fine.
1:12:12 Adam No, you're not. You're miserable. You're miserable.
1:12:16 Caller Just because my penis won't enlarge.
1:12:18 Drew Oh, now he's bogus.
1:12:19 Adam Yeah, do you see? I told you.
1:12:21 Drew Yeah, you're right.
1:12:22 Adam I told you.
1:12:22 Drew You're right.
1:12:23 Adam All right, Frank. Come on now, buddy. Just admit this is a bogus call.
1:12:27 Caller No.
1:12:27 Adam Come on, buddy.
1:12:29 Caller No.
1:12:29 Adam Come on.
1:12:31 Caller Why would I be lying about that?
1:12:32 Adam Because you keep saying different things and you're kind of tangential and you're talking about...
1:12:37 Caller I don't like to give the factual information now. It doesn't mean that I'm not being true.
1:12:41 Drew Well, if you're being accurate, going back down the path of dealing with that anger and dealing with the depression and dealing with the desperation and having a proper psychiatric evaluation, because if what Adam is talking about, which is you sort of being so tangential that your thought processes are actually that tangential, that needs to be looked into.
1:13:02 Adam No, I think that was at, I think that was scary bogus. I think that was an actual scary angry guy who was also doing kind of a bogus call. So that's why you were getting your scary vibe, and I was getting the bogus vibe. Mario?
1:13:17 Yeah.
1:13:18 Adam You're 15?
1:13:19 Caller Yeah.
1:13:19 Adam What's up?
1:13:20 Caller Well, right, this girl, well, my girlfriend, I'm sponsored by Sweden and everything, and I'm always up in Las Vegas racing.
1:13:29 Adam You're racing BMX?
1:13:31 Caller Yeah.
1:13:31 Caller Yeah?
1:13:32 Caller And she always wants me to quit because I never spend enough time with her. And I don't know what to do, you know, because I like racing a lot, and I get paid pretty good.
1:13:42 Adam Yeah, what do you get paid?
1:13:44 Caller Huh?
1:13:45 Adam What do you get paid?
1:13:46 Caller I get paid about, I don't know, it depends. If I take first, I'll get paid about $1,000. And if I take second, I'll get paid about $500, and if I take third, I'll get paid about $250. $250.
1:13:58 Caller Yeah.
1:14:01 Adam And if you take fourth, you get $125?
1:14:05 Caller No.
1:14:06 Caller Oh, how silly. I don't know what I'm Adam. I don't know.
1:14:10 Adam You say you race BMX. You race pro?
1:14:13 Caller Yeah.
1:14:13 Caller All right.
1:14:14 Adam Wow, that's quite an accomplishment at 15.
1:14:16 Drew You still go to school?
1:14:17 Caller Yeah.
1:14:18 Adam Then drop out of school. You don't even need to go to school.
1:14:21 Caller I'm not going to do that.
1:14:22 Drew Yeah, you're going to race BMX till you're 60.
1:14:24 Adam Well, whatever. He's not going to. Yeah, he does a smoke weed and hang out. He's not going to do that.
1:14:28 Caller No, I don't do that.
1:14:31 Adam All right. With the S word there, ritardo. So his girlfriend doesn't like it. He's calling from Colorado. She doesn't like him going to Vegas and doing his raises. That's his life. What are you going to do?
1:14:43 Drew Yeah. Boring. I mean, he's going to learn to deal with that in relationships from now on.
1:14:50 Adam Well, I bet he could make her feel good about it.
1:14:53 Drew At 15, 16, she's going to freak out every time he goes away. Think about a male where the girl was going away at 17. It's tough at that age.
1:15:02 Caller Joe?
1:15:03 Yes.
1:15:04 Adam You're 32?
1:15:05 Caller Yes, correct.
1:15:06 Adam What's up?
1:15:08 Caller Okay. The question I have is, if I have, say an individual has a girlfriend, right?
1:15:14 Drew Just an individual named Joe. Yes.
1:15:16 Caller Okay. She rates highly in the nymphomaniac area, okay? Now, not that I know of, I don't think she's been diagnosed as one, but believe me what I tell you, all right? She has all of the characteristics and anybody can make an educated guess that she is a nymphomaniac, okay?
1:15:37 Drew Well, there's no such thing as nymphomaniac.
1:15:39 Adam I'll let him go ahead. Go ahead.
1:15:41 Caller Okay, okay. But anyway, saying the individual has been in a relationship with her, but now something has come about where the male has to leave for a couple of few months, okay? And has been gone. Can she be trusted? I mean, saying that she is a true nymphomaniac, does she have control of it?
1:16:00 Drew Joe, we first have to establish what you're dealing with here. There's no such thing as a nymphomaniac. What are you dealing with here? What is her deal?
1:16:06 Caller A woman, a woman who just, I mean, how can I say, extremely loves sex. I get hit at seven days a week. Let me tell you, and I'll tell you this, she's like 30, what, she's like 36 years old. And generally, from the experience that I've had with women at that age, you know, they're a little drier at that age. You start slowing down a little.
1:16:27 Caller Sure.
1:16:28 Caller This girl here is wetter than, forget about it.
1:16:32 Caller You know what I'm saying?
1:16:32 Drew Alright, Joe, I'm enthusiastic about the gusto he was, he approaches his young lady.
1:16:37 Adam Joe, listen, quiet down. Hold on.
1:16:40 Caller Okay, okay, okay, okay.
1:16:42 Adam What is, are you guys married or you boyfriends?
1:16:45 Caller No, no, we just been in a, no, we just been in a relationship now for some time.
1:16:49 Adam How long?
1:16:50 Caller Sex has been a lot longer.
1:16:51 Adam How long?
1:16:52 Caller Oh, shoot. Let's see. It's October be a year.
1:16:55 Drew And how many times a day are we talking about here?
1:16:57 Caller Oh man, each time, I mean, we didn't live together, but each time I would get over there, easily, easily, four or five, easily, average four times a week, and I mean-
1:17:07 Drew Four times a week?
1:17:09 Caller Yeah, yeah.
1:17:10 Drew Not four times a day.
1:17:11 Caller No, I don't know.
1:17:13 Caller Wait a minute, four times a week, but when I would go over there, it would be for a couple of hours. It wouldn't be just a wham bam boom thinking, man, it'd be going into two and three, you know-
1:17:23 Adam Joe, Joe, what is your nationality? Are you Creole? Do you host a fishing show?
1:17:29 Caller I'm a mulatto.
1:17:30 Adam Wow, you got something going on. You eat a lot of crawdad, thumbs up with you.
1:17:34 Caller What's up?
1:17:36 Drew Joe, listen.
1:17:36 Caller Well, I'm healthy. I'm healthy.
1:17:39 Drew Hey, listen.
1:17:40 Caller I may have a little nymph smell in me myself.
1:17:41 Drew Yeah, Joe, relax.
1:17:42 Adam I'm guessing, yeah.
1:17:43 Drew We just got to figure out whether she's sexual compulsive or sexual addict.
1:17:47 Adam How long are you going out of town for?
1:17:51 Caller It's been, well, coming up on three months. And the thing is...
1:17:55 Adam What? Are you going to jail? Or what's going on?
1:17:57 Caller No, no, no, no. A great opportunity out of state from where I was at with her.
1:18:05 Adam Okay.
1:18:06 Caller You see? And it's something that I have to just look at to form a more promising future.
1:18:11 Adam I see. All right. I understand. Look, if you guys are having a good relationship, it'll work. She likes sex.
1:18:18 Drew So what?
1:18:18 Adam She probably just likes it with you.
1:18:20 Drew Yeah. She doesn't sound like a sex addict. And really, the people you have to worry about are the sexual addicts because they will do stuff in spite of the consequence on the relationships. And she does not sound like that. Yeah. Is it full moon night tonight? What the hell is going on here?
1:18:32 Adam I don't know. But I was just sitting here looking at the clock and I was thinking, you know, if it wasn't after 1130 and it wasn't a Thursday, I would quit.
1:18:40 Drew Right now?
1:18:40 Adam If it was Wednesday, I would seriously consider quitting. I was just sitting here thinking about all the jackoffs and crackpots we've been talking to over the last hour and a half and getting almost nothing done. Can't seem to, can't really seem to have a conversation with most of the people who are calling this show tonight. Hey, what the hell, Damien. Yeah. And Tara.
1:19:03 Drew Tara.
1:19:04 Adam Tara. Tara. No, it is now Tara because she told me it is spelled T-A-R-A, which is now Tara. You made your Tara bed. You will sleep in your Tara bed. There's no goddamn way in hell I'm calling you Tara. When you now spell your name as Tara, this is a combative nature of which you need to be broken. So you will be called Tara. Now, you two need to get some people to speak some form of English and who are of this planet on this phone. Do you hear me, you two? Or so help me, Christ, I'll urinate.
1:19:38 Drew Right here.
1:19:39 Adam No, I'm going to the bathroom. I will be back. Let's go. And a lot of them are saying, Adam Corolla, a good part of them, Dr. Drew Loveline, let's check time real fast. Oh yeah. It's 1143 and 40 seconds. That is 16 minutes and 20 seconds away from the top of the hour, straight up to the witch. And you smack dab in the middle. Fastest 14 minutes of radio is how the phones speak to John. John is 26. John, come to me, brother.
1:20:36 Caller What's your problem?
1:20:37 Adam Hey, how are you doing?
1:20:39 Caller Woohoo.
1:20:40 Caller Yeah. Yeah, I hear you.
1:20:43 Adam Yeah, John, I'm born and go all over. John, let me check time real fast. It's 1144 straight up, 16 minutes away from the top of the hour. What's your problem there, brother?
1:20:52 Caller About a year ago. About a year ago, I met this girl and we became really good friends.
1:20:57 Adam Woohoo.
1:20:58 Caller Yeah.
1:21:00 Caller I had a girlfriend at the time.
1:21:02 Drew Were you kind of attracted to her?
1:21:05 Caller Yeah, actually.
1:21:07 Drew Was she attracted to you?
1:21:08 Caller Yeah, it seemed that way. But she said that she didn't want to have anything to do with me because I had a girlfriend.
1:21:13 Caller That's right.
1:21:16 Caller I was cool with that. Did you hit a little something when you went to the bathroom?
1:21:20 Caller No.
1:21:24 Adam That is some funny stuff.
1:21:26 Caller Go ahead, everybody.
1:21:28 Caller Anyway, I broke up with my girlfriend in that time. She got a boyfriend.
1:21:33 Adam That's good for the goose, good for the gander. I'll tell you that.
1:21:38 Caller After she got a boyfriend, then all of a sudden she became interested in me. We'd hang out. We were best friends. We became really good friends and we were inseparable, talked on the phone for a couple of hours.
1:21:48 Adam I was saying, Johnny, right? I got to check the time. It's 1145 straight up. That is 15 minutes away from the top of the hour straight up.
1:21:56 Caller I was back down in the middle of the light, and I was like, I'll look at the time. I drew hot, hot, hot past 15 minutes away.
1:22:01 Drew So you hooked up with her. She had a girlfriend. She had a boyfriend. Now what?
1:22:05 Caller Yeah, well, it just started getting weird because she got really aggressive towards me.
1:22:09 Drew You mean sexually?
1:22:10 Caller Yeah.
1:22:11 Drew And so what happened?
1:22:12 Caller Well, I said something about it to her, you know, because I thought we were good enough friends. I ought to be able to say something to her, and it kind of bothered me. And she just bailed on me. I told her that it wasn't right and she needed to make up her mind. If she just wanted to be friends, that was fine with me. But if she wanted to be more, she had to get rid of her boyfriend.
1:22:29 Adam What did she do there, Johnny?
1:22:32 Caller I haven't spoken to her since.
1:22:33 Caller No, all right.
1:22:33 Adam Well, how long ago was that there, Brad?
1:22:36 Caller That was about three weeks ago.
1:22:37 Adam Well, then that thing was done.
1:22:39 Caller Yeah.
1:22:47 Adam I'm the guy. It was three weeks ago. The proof is in the pudding. It's in the pudding. He was in the pudding earlier. He got out of the pudding. Now, the proof is in the pudding.
1:23:01 Caller I'll tell you what.
1:23:02 Adam I'll tell you, I love this show.
1:23:04 Caller I'm a fan.
1:23:04 Caller I'm a fast-growing fan of the show, North America.
1:23:07 Adam Let's check time real fast. It's 1146 and 30 seconds. That is 12 minutes and 30 seconds away.
1:23:17 Drew She will. She made her choice. And when she breaks up with him, maybe she'll be able to make the decision.
1:23:21 Adam I'm saying the proof is in the pudding. I mean, you got to wake up and smell the coffee. And she made her bed. It's her time to sleep in it.
1:23:27 Caller You know what I'm saying? Heather?
1:23:34 Adam Yes? The other year, 25, there was a spag-dab in the middle of the ladder. There was a part over there, Dr. Drew was having a hot, hot, hot. Heather?
1:23:42 Caller Yes?
1:23:43 Drew What's going on?
1:23:43 Caller What's going on there, baby?
1:23:44 Caller OK, well, first of all, I got to say that I love you guys' show.
1:23:47 Caller Yeah.
1:23:48 Caller We do it every night.
1:23:49 Caller Thank you, baby.
1:23:50 Caller And yeah, you guys do have the world's dumbest callers.
1:23:52 Caller Yeah, we do. And you may be the end of the collection. What's going on, Heather?
1:23:58 Caller My question is.
1:23:59 Caller Yeah, there you go.
1:24:02 Caller I have this little piece of skin that covers my clit, except the very top of it.
1:24:07 Drew It's the hood.
1:24:07 Caller That's called your underpants, baby.
1:24:10 Drew That's the hood.
1:24:12 Caller That's the hood.
1:24:14 Caller No, and so it makes it really hard for me and my girlfriend to have sex.
1:24:19 Adam Lesbian. Lesbian, baby. Why? Lesbian.
1:24:22 Drew You're lesbian.
1:24:22 Caller Lesbian.
1:24:24 Adam You play for the big thing, baby.
1:24:26 Drew Why do you think that makes it difficult?
1:24:28 Caller It makes it difficult because she can't go down on me because it covers the whole thing. And so the only way for her to get me off is to use her fingers.
1:24:38 Caller That is a bit of a...
1:24:42 Drew Why didn't she lift the hood?
1:24:44 Caller It's not the hood. It's like a skin that goes from one side all the way across to the other side.
1:24:50 Adam Now it's covered the thing. I begin to do it.
1:24:52 Caller And I don't... I mean, I don't know if there's a way to get cut off or what.
1:24:55 Adam Hold on, I'll check the time real fast. It's 1148 in 15 seconds. That's 11 minutes and 45 seconds.
1:25:07 Caller So...
1:25:08 Adam Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, this has got to cover all of it.
1:25:11 Caller You can't get to it there, man.
1:25:12 Caller What are you going to do?
1:25:16 Adam Maybe some kind of surgical procedure. Get it on.
1:25:20 Drew I don't know.
1:25:22 Adam Well, that sounds like it.
1:25:23 Caller Hey, what?
1:25:25 Caller Hey, Heather. Yes.
1:25:27 Adam Heather. Heather, Ace Rockolla is a big name.
1:25:30 Caller Can you get her clip? Yeah.
1:25:31 Adam Yeah, you find that Oprah. You find that in your sleep drunk, right? You get that on your pillow.
1:25:36 Caller Oh yeah, you know what I got.
1:25:38 Adam But is her clip much different than your clip?
1:25:40 Caller I mean, you think maybe you got to get some kind of surgical procedure or something?
1:25:43 Caller Well, that's what I'm wondering.
1:25:46 Drew I wish I could visualize more clearly what you're talking about.
1:25:49 Caller You got yourself a gynecologist as a crutch doctor.
1:25:52 Adam You got one of them?
1:25:53 Caller I've always gone into the doctor before and they've never said anything about it.
1:25:57 Adam Yeah, why don't you ask them? See what they got to say. Do they have a gynecologist who specializes in lesbos? Do they got those? Do you know what I'm saying?
1:26:07 Caller I think there's money in there.
1:26:08 Adam Yeah, Heather, I think you got to talk to them. This sounds like a physiological problem.
1:26:13 Drew I understand why you...
1:26:14 Caller I can find your clitoral, I'll tell you what.
1:26:17 Adam I used that dividing rod of a tongue of mine, I saw right in on that, babe. I give you the carpet bombing technique. Pow, take out the whole village. You know what I'm saying? I'll bring you right back to the man side.
1:26:27 Drew It's hard to imagine what would be there to prevent any sort of stimuli.
1:26:29 Adam Yeah, it couldn't.
1:26:30 Caller No, it doesn't prevent it. She can reach it, but that's all she can do is reach the very center of the spot. So, it's like after a minute or two on the end.
1:26:37 Adam Yeah.
1:26:38 Drew No, she's doing something wrong.
1:26:40 Caller No, no, no.
1:26:41 Adam Wait a minute. Hold on a second. Hold on. Is she taking the tobacco out of her mouth before she goes down there? I know those lesbians, they like to chew. Yeah, that's good stuff. That's funny stuff. Let's check the time real fast. 1150 straight up. 10 minutes away from the top of the hour. Ace Rockolla, good partner over there. Dr. Drew Pinsky, Adam Loveline, David Drew Pinsky, Dr. Drew Loveline, Fresh Off is triumphant. Appearance on the over-room. Very funny man on the couch for the 45 minutes. Dan, you're 17th pod. What's going on now, brother?
1:27:15 Caller Nothing, man.
1:27:16 Caller Smoke a little weed, dude, Dan?
1:27:19 Adam Yeah. Got that from you there, brother. You can't fool Ace Rockolla. What's your question?
1:27:25 Caller Well, the thing is, like, whenever I take LSD, I can't get an erection.
1:27:30 Adam Yeah.
1:27:31 Caller And I was wondering if, like, if that's something to do physically with me or, like, mentally, like, I'm not interested.
1:27:38 Drew No, LSD profoundly alters the effect, the normal chemistry of your brain.
1:27:42 Adam Yeah, yeah, it kills the peckeroo. But what do you need it for when you're high as a cat? You chase around some big imaginary butterfly. What do you need that Johnson of yours for?
1:27:52 Caller That's true, but...
1:27:53 Adam Yeah, you ain't doing nothing to nobody.
1:27:56 Caller Well, the time that it happens, I hang out with girls and things come up, but...
1:28:01 Adam Yeah, you have sex, yeah, I couldn't... I tell you, Ace Rockolla, he was high on mushrooms, had sex one time, I'll tell you.
1:28:09 Caller You did?
1:28:10 Adam Yeah, each time the penis went in the vagina, I thought I'd lost it, you know what I'm saying? Freaked Ace's ass out. No more of that, you know what I'm saying? The peckeroo stays dry now and he's high. When I'm high, peckeroo stays dry.
1:28:24 Caller That's my motto.
1:28:29 Drew When the Ace is dry?
1:28:30 Adam When the Ace is high, peckeroo stays dry. Let's check the time real fast. 11 52 straight up, that is six minutes, eight minutes, right from the top of the hour, straight up to the top of the hour, Ace Rockolla, Loveline and Dr. Drew. Ace Rockolla, Jesse, 37 is up there, buddy.
1:28:52 Caller If you lose the accent, I'd like to come and talk to you.
1:28:55 Caller You're going to shoot some attitude over here. I'm hung up on this.
1:29:33 Adam Who you want to talk to? There's a lion one over there, Johnny. Johnny, you're 17. What's up there, brother?
1:29:41 Caller Hey, Adam, I think you're the funniest mother whatever. You are the funniest.
1:29:49 Caller Right now. Thank you. You high, brother? No, I'm not high, but...
1:29:56 Adam Alright, what's the question real fast, Adam? Who are we running at at that?
1:29:58 Caller Alright, my girlfriend's 15, I'm 17, I'm going to be 18 next week. And we already had sex, and I'm wondering what's going to be the consequence because I'm going to be 18, I mean, legally.
1:30:12 Drew I believe in California you can be within three years of the age of the...
1:30:17 Caller Yeah, that's a good time.
1:30:18 Adam And like I say, your grand son in the infield is trying to blame all of us.
1:30:24 Drew So you guys are about two and a half years apart, right?
1:30:27 Adam Yeah, that's nice.
1:30:28 Caller Twinkie Hole, baby!
1:30:29 Caller Woo!
1:30:30 Drew Right, Johnny?
1:30:31 Caller Yeah, so that's cool.
1:30:33 Caller Alright.
1:30:34 Adam Johnny, you love her?
1:30:35 Caller You love her, brother?
1:30:37 Adam You love her?
1:30:39 Caller You better love her.
1:30:40 Adam You haven't said it about it.
1:30:43 Caller Yeah? Yeah. Kind of. Don't you break her heart?
1:30:47 Adam You break her hymen and her heart, she'll never get over it.
1:30:50 Caller You hear me?
1:30:53 Adam You take care of yourself there, buddy. We got to take care of ourselves, alright? We're going to take a quick time out. We're going to be right back with more of the program after this. Well, there you have it. The end of another fabulous Loveline Week. I would like to thank phone screener Damien for doing what was a good job up until this evening. I would like to thank Tara. Tara is lucky. I'm very tired tonight. I don't have time to really examine the spelling of her name and the pronunciation. I want to thank Tara for doing a great job, except for tonight on the phones. I want to thank producer Anne, who, where is producer Anne? Oh, there she is, for doing a wonderful job of booking the show and producing the show and putting her feminine stink on the show all week.
1:31:47 Caller Producers are vastly overrated.
1:31:50 Adam It would not be possible without her. And of course, the master of the drop, the trying to think of the Peter Pan of the potentiometer. Except for he's 240 pounds. Engineer Anderson, everybody. So until next time, this is Adam Corolla for Dr. Drew saying mahalo.
1:32:10 Caller A lot of doggy style.
1:32:11 Drew Oh, and what?
1:32:13 Adam Anal?
1:32:13 Caller And anal.
1:32:14 Adam Wow.
1:32:15 Caller I love anal. And I don't know if it's because I'm big or what, but maybe they're not making it to the hole.
1:32:21 Caller This has been Loveline. The opinions expressed on the show are not necessarily those of the staff management sponsors for this station. The producer for Loveline is Ann Wilkins Dingle. Loveline is a presentation of Westwood One Entertainment.
