8:23🔗 Cypress Hill I believe we're gonna work on it in April. We're gonna take our time to do other things, our little side projects. I got another band going on right now. So we're all taking our little time away from each other, and then we're gonna go back in April and knock another record out.

8:39🔗 Adam Well, so we're hoping that the Dragon Festival becomes like the smoke out in the sense that it's a yearly event that people can look forward to.

8:47🔗 Cypress Hill Yeah, we're trying to have a couple of events per year, at least three. You know, we're trying to do the Dragon Festival in the spring, and closer to the summer, we're trying to do our 420 Harvest Fest that we're doing at the Shrine this year, and then we're doing our smoke out. And then there's been other times where I'll be conscious and then I'll feel my body kind of start to shut down and almost kind of like you're paralyzed and like something's pushing down on me.

1:20:14🔗 Drew Well, you're just describing sleep disorder, sleep disturbances, and whether or not there's any seizure component to this or something more serious, you need to see somebody to have that checked out. But those sort of night terrors where you're locked in and can't move and even sort of hallucinatory episodes which really kind of dreamed episodes because you're profoundly sleep deprived most of the time.

What are they taking it for? I can't tell. I think they take it to sort of boost the growth hormone, which it does initially, and it gives them sort of a stimulant and euphoric effect. So it seems they perceive their enhanced performance.

1:27:55🔗 Caller And then I went and told him, you know, go ahead and give it to me. And then he just told me, you know, just to take, like, you know those Pepsi bottles? I think they're like 32 ounces or something. Like the cap on that, that's how much I took.

1:30:48🔗 Cypress Hill It's the same place. It's going to be really good. I think that the lineup we have here, it's not as big of a lineup as the smoke out. Obviously, we have more acts on that day, but this is a more compact bill and I think it's going to be really good.

1:31:22🔗 Cypress Hill Yeah. It's like a racetrack, fairgrounds. They do like outdoor swap meets there or they used to, I think.

1:33:24🔗 Caller Nothing, how are you guys doing? Good. I want to know about How I Could Just Kill A Man, the lyrical content of the song. I just, I read something tonight that it was, there was a little debate about whether or not it was just political or whether or not it was actually based on an experience that B-Real had with his family.

1:33:41🔗 Cypress Hill It was based off of an experience I had. I lived in Gardena, I think, in, I believe it was 89 or 90, somewhere around that time, and this dude broke in our home and he held my mother and my niece at Knife Point, tied me and my sister up and he, actually he was trying to rob a drug dealer who lived right across from us and he robbed the wrong apartment and he came into our house.

1:34:09🔗 Caller How old were you?

1:34:10🔗 Cypress Hill I was, I was 18 or 19 around that time.

1:34:15🔗 Adam And he came in, was he high?

1:34:18🔗 Cypress Hill Well, it was like at 4 in the morning and he broke this window like that, that you can just stick right, you know how you have those windows by the front door where you know you have the little thing and it opens like a bunch of them.

1:34:31🔗 Adam Right, it's slanted.

1:34:32🔗 Cypress Hill It's louvered. He, he, he somehow opened it, got the door open and he got into my room first and he jumped on the back of me and I thought it's maybe one of my friends clowning around because I'm not really realizing what time it is.

1:34:45🔗 Adam Yeah, you're stoned off your ass and you're asleep.

1:34:47🔗 Cypress Hill Yeah, so I'm like get, get off me man, what are you doing? And then he put the knife to my throat and he says don't move or your mom and your sister and your niece are done. So, you know, I had to comply and you know he tied me up and I heard my mother screaming for me.

1:35:02🔗 Adam What did he tie you up with?

1:35:04🔗 Cypress Hill He tied me up with some wire type of stuff. He tied my, he tied my feet in my, in my, my wrist behind my back and everything.

1:35:12🔗 Adam Oh my God.

1:35:12🔗 Cypress Hill And I could hear my mother screaming and somehow my sister jumped, like she got loose because she, the guy was kind of nervous you could tell. And he was, he didn't tie her up as well. And somehow she got out, jumped out the window of a two-story apartment. Wow. Called the cops and they were waiting for him by the time, you know, he finished the place. Yeah. Because my mother was fighting him off.

1:35:35🔗 Adam And does, this was, it was at the apartment next year's that?

1:35:40🔗 Cypress Hill Yeah. The guy, the guy was so like jacked up. He went into the wrong apartment. He was asking for this, somebody named Pebbles or something like that. And he came into the wrong apartment. And he was looking for the one across. Right. And, you know, he just came into the wrong place.

1:35:56🔗 Adam Oh, man. That must have freaked you out.

1:35:58🔗 Cypress Hill It did. I mean, it made me angry. I mean, I spent a lot of time looking for that guy in the, in the, in the institutional system because, you know, I had a lot of friends and everything. But fortunately, you know, I came to my senses and I just let it, let it, let it slide. And, you know, those are the things that I write about because of those experiences, man. They scar your brain and yeah, that was one thing, one way to get it out of my system, you know?

1:36:24🔗 Adam Yeah, I mean, I mean, that's the kind of thing you can have, like, post-traumatic stress. So you should, you should. You're asleep with some guys on your back. I mean, it's probably good that you thought it was one of your friends. Oh, yeah. At least initially.

1:36:36🔗 Cypress Hill Yeah, I mean, it was, it was, it was pretty messed up for a while on me. But, you know, I've been through so many crazy things that that was just one adding to many, you know?

1:36:46🔗 Adam Well, for those of you who aren't from the Southern California area, Gardena should not have the word garden in it. Yeah. I worked at a, I used to work at a decorative box factory in Gardena. I rebuilt it during my construction days and I should have killed myself. I wish I would have jumped on me and killed me back then. But that, I hated that thinking Gardena. You don't still, no one lives there anymore, do they?

1:37:13🔗 Cypress Hill I mean, I had a lot of good friends out there, but once that happened, I moved my family out there real quick.

You don't want to lose it, so you work harder to keep it. Right. I've never been a person to get complacent about anything or be satisfied. I'm always trying to keep moving forward with things.
