1:27🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelHe got two big first bitches.
1:29🔗DrewHe did the big billboard awards. He actually did a pretty good job.
1:32🔗Jimmy KimmelYeah, he was good. I mean, what, Kathy and Jimmy were hosting that thing? Who was that? The girl on, what, Caroline... Suddenly Susan.
3:01🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelI just want to hear some good issues tonight. I know you guys. I got them all here.
3:03🔗DrewLet's go right to it. Corey is 17. Corey.
3:06🔗Yeah. How you guys doing? My girlfriend works at a department store and she just got a job like two weeks ago and there was a guy that she worked with that was in training with her. And after work one night she walked out to her car and he was sitting in her car naked and broke into her car. She had no clue that he was there. And she sat down and looked over and he was sitting there with his pants off and she said get out of my car and told me two days later.
4:27🔗And then won't do anything about this guy that's broke into her car and was sitting there naked.
4:32🔗Jimmy KimmelYeah. Well, you know, it's funny. Some people have a real tolerance for humiliation. Like me, I remember I was in high school once, and my nose started running during a test, and I had no tissue. So I blew my nose on the test. And I just said, you know what? I'm not turning this test in Coverwood Snot. I just got up and left class and went home. I was too embarrassed to have that go on. This guy could actually sit in her car with his pants down. It's amazing that he got out.
5:12🔗DrewYeah, and I think perhaps you need to talk to her, too, about taking this very seriously because you really don't know where this guy is going with this. You know, you never know with people.
8:30🔗DrewKorn, number is LOVE191. I'm Dr. Drew, Jimmy Kimmel sitting in front of Carolla. Hey, I need help from my listeners. No, I do. I need them all to, if they have a computer, to log on to www.DrDrew, smallcasedrdrew.com. D-R-Drew, right? Yeah, D-R-D-R-E-W. We need, hang on, if Jessica has a computer. We need money. And you need a register. No, you need money. It's free. You got to register for me because we need your support in order to make this thing stay afloat. It's a very interesting place with lots of information. Anything we talk about here, you can find more information on drdrew.com. And we're linked with the National Institute of Health. We have a series of video shows.
10:38🔗I have a pacemaker, and I was wondering because I was like really depressed two years ago, and I went into Charleau Hospital for five days, and they wanted to put me on depression medication, but my mom said no because it would like mess with my pacemaker.
10:54🔗DrewNo, it would not mess with your pacemaker.
10:56🔗DrewEspecially these days. There's so many different antidepressant medicines that would have essentially no effect on your heart. Are you on any other medication for your heart?
11:04🔗No, not right now. I was taking St. John's Wort for a little while, but it didn't help much.
11:12🔗DrewSt. John's Wort is the same chemical idea as other antidepressants, so if she's okay with you taking those, she should be okay with taking ones that actually have been studied scientifically and aren't known to have side effects like that. Did you have congenital heart block or something?
11:42🔗DrewIs that it, Jessica? Huh? Here's the deal. You had a life-threatening illness. You almost died of depression. If it weren't for Korn, you would have died, right? 75% of the reason she survived is because of Korn, and your mom does not really let you take medication that could be life-saving for you.
11:56🔗Jimmy KimmelYou guys better keep making albums and never retire because as soon as you do, get it for Jessica.
12:03🔗Hi. Korn Johnson. Yeah. I want to say my best friend, she loves you so much. Right on. The whole band.
12:11🔗Yeah. My friend, his name is Jacob. He's in the band Commodore. He wanted to say what's up and thanks for visiting his website. Oh, right on. Dr. Drew, my neighbor, he got this girl pregnant. Well, he's not sure if it's his baby or not.
12:30🔗Jimmy KimmelIf he got her pregnant, it's his.
12:31🔗I mean, no. There's two guys. It's a possibility of two guys. Him and some other guy. I don't know who he is. He's not sure if it's his baby or not. And the girl wants to have a blood test. But the girl is like, she's afraid to, I don't know, she supposedly doesn't want to take blood from the little baby. I want to know, is there any way it could affect the baby?
13:14🔗CallerHi. Okay, I just want to say how much I totally love you and your whole band and how much you guys are totally my idols and your band has just done so much for me and you totally changed my life and like with all the crap that I've been through and everything that I go through every day and I just think about you and everything that you've gone through and everything that your whole band has done.
14:00🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelI think we trip out on it.
14:02🔗CallerYou guys have just helped me stay so strong and everything. And I just want to know how long Jonathan was in his first band before he got into Korn.
14:10🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelI was in there for about, I don't know, four months, five months.
14:19🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelOh, it was a band called Sex Art. And actually it was me and these other guys. And actually the guitar player for Orgy, Ryan Schuck was in my first band.
14:26🔗AdamJonathan and the guitar player for Orgy, they kind of co-wrote the song Blind. And then we kind of changed it to Our Way or whatever.
14:33🔗DrewI didn't realize Bakersfield was such an artistic hotbed.
14:36🔗AdamHey, we're coming up. It's not just Buck Owens anymore.
15:02🔗CallerI just got a little story for you. I was on a political chat zone the other day on the Internet. There was a bunch of old fogies doing all this stuff. And I told them that, Eddie, have you checked out the new Korn CD at Rocks? And they came back and said, I don't normally use such harsh verbiage, you idiot. What age are you, like 15 to 17 years old?
16:00🔗CallerI was just wondering where I could get information.
16:02🔗DrewThe New England Journal has done three different reviews on the emergency contraception in the last three years.
16:08🔗Jimmy KimmelThat's three years. The 7-Eleven?
16:09🔗DrewNo, just go to the library, go to the index medicus, go to the National Institute of Health, go to my website, go to the National Institute of Health, and just look up the morning after pill. There's a Medline search there through the National Institute of Health, at my office, at my website.
16:22🔗Jimmy KimmelNo wonder you need people to log on to this thing. The first answer is not go to the New England Journal of Medicine, go to the website, drdrew.com.
16:29🔗DrewLog on to NIH, then go to the Medline search and look up emergency contraception. You'll find publications. There is a question about whether it might cause an abortion. That is a question that is still slightly open, but there's also a question about whether the regular birth control pill does that. The fact is the effectiveness of the pill correlates to the morning after pill and the other pill, for that matter, its effectiveness correlates with the suppression of the luteinizing hormone surge. And that is what causes ovulation. So there is no ovulation.
17:03🔗CallerYeah, there is no ovulation from the...
17:05🔗DrewSo if there is no ovulation, there can't be an abortion.
17:07🔗CallerYeah, the presence of the progesterone and estrogen, right?
17:10🔗DrewYeah, it suppresses ovulation, so there is never any conception.
17:57🔗I meet guys. I go to college here in Fresno, California and I meet guys all the time through friends or in classes. At first, they're really nice to me and it's like I attract weird guys. So at first when I meet these guys, they're really nice to me and later on if a friendship or whatever develops, it's like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. They suddenly start turning really weird. But just to me, they start getting mean or possessive even if I'm not dating them.
18:23🔗DrewBut in their mind, there is something going on probably.
18:26🔗Yeah, which is very weird because I don't even know how to flirt and I've never really dated a guy.
18:48🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelYeah, with guys. With guys? Yeah, I always picked the wrong guys.
18:52🔗I was introduced by, one of my friends introduced me to this one boy. And I mean, he was, he looked really nice and everybody loved him. Like, he dressed nice and he was, I don't know if you want to stay prepped because I'm totally not into preppy guys. But I mean, he dressed really nice and had a nice personality.
19:05🔗Jimmy KimmelThose are the ones you got to watch out for.
19:07🔗Like, Korn's adults, like my parents, loved him and everybody who knows him thinks that he is the bee's knees. And when we started dating, like we never even kissed and he never made it. Well, we never said we were boyfriend and girlfriend, but we were dating.
20:08🔗That's the creepy thing. They never come right out and say, can I date you? Because then probably I'd give them an answer.
20:12🔗DrewYeah, but you choose those kinds of guys.
20:13🔗Jimmy KimmelThat's not how humans work anyway.
20:15🔗What are you doing with your life and whatever? And they'll call me and talk on the phone for a long time.
20:23🔗DrewAll right. When they ask you about the interpretation, do you have a boyfriend? The balloon above their head is, I want to be your boyfriend. And I'm checking to see if you have a boyfriend.
21:13🔗Then when I was in like my 9th grade year, I had a best friend ever since we were like... Well, actually it was my 10th grade year, but ever since we were like in 7th grade. And then our 10th grade year, well, it wasn't quite resonant, but I mean like we never slept together, like but we kissed.
21:30🔗DrewAll right. So you've been confused about your sexual orientation.
21:33🔗DrewYou don't really get what guys are all about. You don't read people. You don't acknowledge people's feelings and you have difficulty trusting and getting close to people. And of course you would have been sexually and physically abused, made of 7 to 14 by your own father. You got to deal with that Maria. It's going to haunt your relationships forever. And God knows this is the best possible scenario you could have given the history you've had. If you were not closing relationships with guys, you would be going after guys that in fact were abusive to try to make right what had happened to you for all those years.
22:02🔗Jimmy KimmelUsually it goes the other way. They start having sex with a lot of people.
22:04🔗DrewIt goes one way or the other. They either completely close down or they go back and forth. And neither is real.
22:15🔗DrewJonathan and Fieldy from Carter here. Jimmy Kimmel from Emmy Award-winning Jimmy Kimmel from Winston and Ben Stein's Money is here sitting in for Adam Corolla, the host of the Billboard Awards tonight. I'm Dr. Drew and I'm begging you to sign on and register at my website tonight because we need traffic and we need some help.
22:30🔗Jimmy KimmelYeah, but Drew, I told you, people worry if they sign on, they think if they sign on that you're going to know stuff about what they're looking at.
22:37🔗DrewNo, you tell them that you know, we can sign on and register and it's just a way of helping us track the behavior of what people do so we know what they like. We're not going to look into what you're doing or what you're saying or anything.
22:50🔗Jimmy KimmelBecause, for instance, the shocking admission that I'd had crabs I made on the air last night got around and I probably shouldn't have said anything.
23:03🔗DrewWe'll be back in a minute. It's Loveline, 1-800-L-O-V-E-1-9-1. I'm Dr. Drew. Adam Corolla is away. He's hosting the Billboard Awards in Las Vegas. Jimmy Kimmel, Emmy Award winning Jimmy Kimmel. His coroner is here, Jonathan Fieldy, and Jimmy was regaling us with stories of Lou Stuhl in the break.
23:57🔗Jimmy KimmelSomething really embarrassing happened to me on Saturday, actually. I was recording a tape of the fit for the man show. I happened to be wearing white pants. And I had some intestinal distress. And I started to make my way to the bathroom, walking casually through Universal Studios. And then I started kind of jogging a little. And then I was running as fast as I can. And let's just say I didn't make it. And it was ugly. Crap this pants.
24:46🔗Yeah. You guys are like totally my favorite band ever, dude. Thank you. And right now, my heart is like pounding about a bit just because I'm talking to you.
24:59🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelAll right, Eric, here we are.
25:00🔗Jimmy KimmelA little nasal spray might not be hurt.
25:04🔗So what's your answer? What do you mean by that song, John?
25:08🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelWhat? Dead Bodies Everywhere?
25:08🔗Jimmy KimmelHe means don't kill anyone, right?
25:17🔗Jimmy KimmelAnd it ruins the carpeting. It can really be a mess. People don't, you know, people don't realize, people have to clean that stuff up.
25:22🔗AdamYou don't have to say bye on radio, huh?
25:28🔗I've got a big situation that I don't know if I'm blind at or what. So, trying to make a long story short, I've been dating this girl for two years. A couple months after we got together, she had cheated on me. She told me about it. And I thought about it, I stayed with her. Well, several months later she told me she got raped. I went out to the guy and she stopped me from pursuing it. And two days later she was over at his house. And I did...
27:05🔗Jimmy KimmelWho knows if she's a balance people?
27:07🔗Well, we tried to work things out and everything. Well, this past summer, I was told that she was teetering on me, and I split up with her. Well, two weeks later, she told me she was pregnant.
27:46🔗DrewWell, then why weren't you using contraception?
27:50🔗She was on the pill, and evidently she missed the pill.
27:52🔗Jimmy KimmelThat counts as a contraceptive, doesn't it?
27:54🔗Well, okay, I'm sorry. She was taking the pill.
27:57🔗DrewAnd by the way, God knows what kind of risk she's putting you at in terms of other STDs.
28:02🔗Jimmy KimmelHey, listen, obviously you're going to have to wait till the baby's born to figure out whose kid it is, but you want to be a loser, some loser guy that whose girlfriend is screwing around on him every three weeks and you just keep looking the other way. I mean, is that how you want to be known?
28:20🔗Jimmy KimmelYeah, that's how we know him. That's how everybody he knows knows him.
28:23🔗DrewYeah, he's got to have enough esteem. First of all, not want so badly to fix somebody. This is a fix it case, his girlfriend. And secondly, not idealize her, not sort of connect with something that's not really there.
28:37🔗Jimmy KimmelYeah, you gotta get mad at her at some point, don't you?
28:39🔗DrewYou gotta have enough esteem to move on.
29:19🔗I'm sorry. Please don't hang up on me. Okay, I'm gonna read it. Okay, it's called, I don't know what it's called, but here it is. All right, be quiet, I'm gonna read it. All right. Falling deep in a depression, slowly. Oh no. No, listen, slowly. Swallowing me like a sea of pity. Feeling your soul, it burns me like, it burns my flesh, somehow killing my pain. Blind tears of nothing, still drowning me in this depression. Feeling your fear, the only thing that's warm, comforting me, staining me with your anguish. Okay, hang on.
29:56🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelIs this page two? Turn to page.
29:57🔗No, no, no, no, I'm trying to catch my breath because I'm like dying. Okay, fighting for life, I'm forever bleeding, forever waiting. My only source of life, regenerating in your power. Do you ever know I'm alive? Swallowing in my pain, swallowing all my pain, reaching for your energy, my troubled eyes look deep in for love. To grab your soul and never let go, because I love you. Okay.
30:21🔗Jimmy KimmelDid you write that on your Hello Kitty notepad?
30:24🔗DrewNicole, I hope those aren't your real feelings.
30:50🔗Death will get us the best in the end. And in death, I will still hear your voice, still loving you, still feeling you. Just remember, please don't ever let us fans go. Now it's over. I didn't tell you.
31:00🔗DrewNicole, don't carry those fantasies about anything happening after death. You're not feeling anything.
31:04🔗I'm not going to. I just wanted to tell them that...
32:08🔗DrewOK. All right. Korn. That is Korn, oh, falling away from me. It's Loveline, Jimmy Kimmel sitting in for Adam Carolla, I'm Dr. Drew, Jonathan Field to hear from Korn. The number is 1-800-LOVE-191. We'll be right back. All right, welcome back to Loveline, 1-800-LOVE-191. Korn is a guest. Hi. I'm begging people to register at www.drdrews.com. Thank you very much.
37:35🔗DrewWe're going to link with you guys. And the Emmy Award-winning Jimmy Kimmel from Win Benstein's Money. I somehow choke on the man show.
37:42🔗Jimmy KimmelWhy is that, Drew? You have some kind of hostility towards the man show?
37:45🔗DrewNo, it's because Adam sits here and just touts, it just gloats about it all night. So to pick up that banner and carry it for him is just too much. I think I'm on this show.
38:17🔗CallerI love you guys so much. You guys are like my favorite band in the world. Totally. Okay, my question is, well, during the summer, I went to a party, and these people took naked pictures of me. And I was spending the night at my friend's house, and I found those pictures in our bed.
39:19🔗DrewOkay, you have no control over anything you do. You don't make any choices on your own. You're a complete whim of some force outside of yourself.
39:30🔗DrewNo, no. Kelly, that's not okay. Why? If you have no ability to make choices, none, and can't be responsible for any of your actions, why do we even bother talking?
39:46🔗DrewNo, it's not about being sorry. We don't care. We're delighted if you get naked at parties. That's your business. But if it bothers you, you need to do something about it. You're the one that did it. Nobody else did it to you. You need to be taking some responsibility for your actions.
40:03🔗CallerOkay. Well, anyways, I don't know why she has them. I don't like if she looks at them. I don't know. But I don't know if I should tell her I saw them or not.
40:15🔗Jimmy KimmelYou should have taken them is what you should do.
40:18🔗Jimmy KimmelThey're pictures of you. Believe me, she'll use them against you. If I had naked pictures of my buddies and I in high school, they go right on whatever the yearbook.
40:27🔗Jimmy KimmelAbsolutely. There's a picture of Adam jacking off actually. What? Yeah. There's a picture of one of his buddies burst in the room. And it's funny because all you can see is like kind of his like head and knee. You see his hand is a blur.
42:38🔗DrewWell, I think you need to begin taking some responsibility for your actions and your life. Part of that is taking control of this carnage that's out there that you create. I don't know if it's related. If this behavior has been around substances or not, but I suspect it has been. To be in that high degree of denial and to be that out of control is usually a substance issue.
43:03🔗Jimmy KimmelYou guys are in a band, maybe. But when I was 16, we didn't know girls get naked at parties or anything like that.
44:20🔗CallerJamie, because she's like even bigger of a fan of you guys than me, and she would kill me if I didn't get this on tape, and I have it on tape.
45:11🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelMy middle name is cool anyway. I just wanted to know like who came up with the idea to put the bagpipes in with the whatever it is. Loveline.
45:28🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelIt just worked. I played them. We tried it. So I had this idea.
45:32🔗DrewThey had to put your instrument in, so what the hell?
45:34🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelLet's try it because it's just freaky because they'll walk out there and play those people are just like, what the hell is going on here?
45:39🔗AdamToday, it seems normal. Back then, when they did it, it was weird.
45:41🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelYeah, when we did it, when we first started doing it, I remember like, oh my God.
45:44🔗AdamI remember like, John, when we played in Chicago, I remember they were like, booing him off the stage when he was playing bagpipe.
45:49🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelReally? That was when we were opening up for Ozzy and it was all Ozzy. No, they were all, you suck.
45:54🔗AdamYeah, you suck, you suck. No, it was Megadeth.
45:57🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelThat was back in our middle years.
45:58🔗AdamAnd then we came back in like a year or not. No, like two months later.
46:02🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelTwo months later, it wasn't the...
47:28🔗DrewWe're here with Korn, Fieldy, and Jonathan. And you guys know, not only does Jonathan play the bagpipes, he plays the telephone, the cell phone.
47:56🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelWe're dorks. We're losing it right now. No, we're never getting fights together. When we get in arguments, it's like anything else. Like, basically, we're on a bus. We're all married and we all bitch at each other, but we never throw dicks or nothing.
48:26🔗DrewIt's basically I have to pay attention to him for about two hours. Oh, yeah, yeah. While he goes on a diet drive. But if I tried to do some hours.
48:32🔗Jimmy KimmelYou heard it like 40 times either.
48:34🔗DrewHe'll come at you. He's like in your ear.
48:37🔗Jimmy KimmelHere's the deal. Let me tell you something about pie.
48:57🔗Jimmy KimmelHow much space could grapes take up?
48:58🔗DrewAll right. So he's going on and on. And all of a sudden, all of a sudden, it's been such a background, sort of white noise behind you for like two hours. All of a sudden, you become aware that it stopped. And of course, you're trying to ignore it the whole time. And then it stops. And I look over here. Here he is. He's like sprawled out with his lovey eyeshades on. Looks like, you know, lovey from Gilligan's Island. Ear plugs in.
50:36🔗CallerI had a question about your elementary records. I got a band together and I was thinking about maybe putting an album or something. How would I do that if I wanted to get on your label or something?
50:47🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelYou'd first have to do a demo and then send it to us. Yeah.
50:52🔗Jimmy KimmelYou can tell by, I mean, that the guy's probably good just by a phone call, right?
51:50🔗CallerFor my friend Jack, she goes to Ramona in Alhambra. Just want to point that out. Okay. She had this backpack last year that she wore and it went across her chest. Now, actually, there's a gap between her boobs. She wants, well, I asked her and we both were curious about it.
52:10🔗DrewI think that gap is a normal part of development.
52:29🔗CallerWell, anyways, okay. So about a year ago, I met this guy named Martin and he moved down from Redding to live with his grandparents and I met him through my friend Johnny and-
52:42🔗Jimmy KimmelCould you be more specific, please?
52:48🔗CallerMy heart is beating so fast. So anyways, we talked for like, I knew him for a total of like five days and we kissed and it was like the most amazing thing that ever happened.
53:39🔗Jimmy KimmelWell, no, if you think about it, I mean, you have probably have people like from high school that maybe you had like one day encounter with you just romanticize that evening and, oh, that would have been the perfect.
53:48🔗DrewThat's the point, Jessica, is that you really don't even know who he is. You're only with him for five days and people endow those sorts of experiences with all sorts of romantic illusions, really.
54:06🔗Jimmy KimmelI was in high school and I came. I took a trip out to Los Angeles. I grew up in Las Vegas and there was this girl in a truck that smiled at me. I was like, hey, wow, how about that? That could have been something.
54:45🔗DrewOh, come on. He would have cheated on you, too. I know. That's who that person was. Now, you projected all kinds of other stuff on to him, but he's a cheater.
55:21🔗CallerOkay, well, I've been seeing this guy for the last two years, and recently, like, about a week ago, one of my ex-boyfriends, like, kind of came back into my life. He just, like, came by, and we started kind of talking, and we broke up, like, a long time ago. I was going out with them when I was 17, and I'm 19 now, and we didn't break up for, like, reasons that, like, we wanted to. It was his parents. They didn't like me because they were, like, racist, so then we had, like, we didn't have, like, a choice in the matter.
56:15🔗CallerYeah. And then, um... I don't know if I should start talking to him now because his pa- he, like, lives alone now. He's not living with his parents anymore.
56:46🔗CallerYeah. And I haven't talked to him because he graduated before I did.
56:49🔗DrewBe honest, Marianne, if he, if the, the old guy, when you hook up and be friends, came to you and said, I'm dying to be back with you, I'm in love with you, what would you do?
59:50🔗CallerHi. I have a question. I just want to say hi to Korn first, by the way, guys. Hello. I have a question. I have a boyfriend. We've been together for about six months. He's really my first steady boyfriend and I'm his first steady girlfriend. He treats me really good and everything, but I am too young. I kiss he thinks because I'm his first. He says I'm going to marry him and all this stuff.
1:00:29🔗CallerHe thinks that since that happened that we're going to get married and we're meant for each other because he always says that he's only going to have one person, but I still like to go out. I want to have fun with my friends. He limits me. He restricts me from going out with my friends. I can't do anything I used to. He says I can't drink. I went over to his friends' house one night and he was just drunk of his butt. He promised he wouldn't drink. I promised I wouldn't.
1:00:56🔗DrewYou both drink and you both try to control each other.
1:00:58🔗CallerI don't try to control him, but he's so... I've tried to break up with him before and he'll start crying and saying the unknowing that means.
1:01:07🔗DrewI think you're done, aren't you? You're done with this relationship, aren't you?
1:01:22🔗DrewYou're done. Yeah, you don't want to be in this relationship right now.
1:01:24🔗CallerBut I don't want to hurt his feelings.
1:01:26🔗DrewWell, not wanting to hurt somebody's feelings and feeling sympathetic and pity for them is not something they're particularly interested in.
1:01:33🔗CallerBut then he also says if I break up with him and he finds me dating somebody else, he would kill him.
1:01:47🔗Jimmy KimmelYeah. He's probably very insecure. I was like that. I mean, that's how it starts. You don't want to talk. You don't want to go out with any of their old friends. Then 10 years later, you're masturbating thinking about them having anal sex with a black man.
1:02:01🔗Jimmy KimmelYeah. You know, you loosen up. You know what I'm saying.
1:02:12🔗DrewRami, just the whole situation sounds not great. You're going to have to make your own choices on this one. Staying with somebody because you're trying to protect their feelings or you feel sorry for them or you don't want to hurt them. Not the basis for a great relationship. You did say something to the effect of he promised you he wouldn't drink.
1:07:26🔗DrewThat was make me bad. Court begins their tour on February 19th. Miami, Florida on the 19th, Salt Lake City on the 26th. This is February, big apart. Phoenix, the 28th, Anaheim, California. Somebody was asking when you're going to be in Anaheim.
1:07:43🔗DrewSeattle, the 6th of March, Portland, the 7th of March, Chicago, the 16th of March. Detroit, the 4th of April. Atlanta, Georgia, the 13th of April. And Kansas City, the 19th of April.
1:08:11🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelWe don't like Europe. Why? Because it's hell over there.
1:08:13🔗AdamIs it? We haven't been there since 1997.
1:08:15🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelWe haven't been there in a couple years. So we're kind of excited, but we'll probably, that'll be done about the second day and then we'll be in hell again.
1:08:21🔗DrewIs maybe you're kind of, you're listeners, your fans are maybe sort of depressed.
1:08:26🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelNo, no, the fans are great.
1:08:27🔗AdamYou're only on stage an hour, 15 minutes a night.
1:08:30🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelHour 15 a night. Awesome. It's like some of the best shows, but trying to live and go through all the, oh, it's just their lifestyle. The food's horrible.
1:08:39🔗AdamThere's sweaty cheese. Something like raw egg on your pizza.
1:08:43🔗Jimmy KimmelNot like Italy and stuff. You're not talking about it, right?
1:08:46🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelNo, it's like there's some good places. Amsterdam.
1:08:50🔗Jimmy KimmelI did not like it. I was like, all right, we'll go over there and just do nothing but smoke pot. And then you go over there and you do nothing but smoke pot. It's like, hey, everybody, let's have a conversation. You know, like you do right here, right? Yeah. And then and then, you know, and then you go check out that red light district. It's like a human zoo. It's really depressing.
1:09:08🔗AdamThat's a circus. That's like, oh, what are you saying?
1:09:33🔗DrewWe'll be right back. Geez, Don, I can't see the engineer for Christ's sake. Loveline, we're here with Korn. It's 1-800-LOVE-191. And I'm going to ask our audience once again, please log on to www.drdrew.com. Small d, one word, Dr. Drew. It's dr, drew.com.
1:10:20🔗Jimmy KimmelAnd register. Dr. Drew will plug in before Adam gets back.
1:10:25🔗DrewJesus Christ. There's going to be so much crap about it, but I really do need some help with traffic, and we want you guys to come and tell us what you do and don't like about it, so we can keep this thing going on your behalf.
1:10:34🔗Jimmy KimmelYou really got to put naked stuff on there.
1:10:36🔗DrewWe actually were thinking about, we were trying to figure out where people are that use the web, and people are using porn. Maybe we should have like a Surgeon General's warning. If you're compulsive, if you're worried about STDs, come back to us and we'll take you straight in.
1:11:24🔗DrewWe want to create some goofy greeting cards. Sorry, I ejaculated too quickly and things like that. Greetings to people and let them send them out and link back to us.
1:11:33🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelSorry, I ejaculated too quickly.
1:11:37🔗AdamIs that the top of your head right there? Were you up one night thinking about that one?
1:11:46🔗DrewBecause people around were going, well, we should have these messages and these heartfelt things. If you're worried about somebody there, you're concerned they're using them. I thought in 10 seconds, people will make a laughing stock of us. So why don't we just create greetings that actually are laughing stocks.
1:12:01🔗Jimmy KimmelSorry, my ass made a mark on your sheets.
1:12:03🔗DrewThat's right. Get them back to the site where we can really give them some real information.
1:12:08🔗AdamSorry, I had white pants on when I couldn't make it to the bathroom.
1:12:36🔗CallerShe's two months pregnant and she has her babies, and I was wondering how it's going to affect her baby.
1:12:41🔗DrewHopefully not at all. They do sometimes do Caesarean sections on women with herpes. If there's an outbreak, they will definitely do Caesarean section, though by and large they have found it that they can do vaginal deliveries even with people that are known to have herpes. So it shouldn't, believe me, she's got to tell her gynecologist about her obstetrician, but they will plan around it. It should not be a big deal.
1:13:34🔗DrewIt is something that does tend to run the family. So there might be an increased probability, though we don't know if it's your mom or dad's brother. But if they don't have a problem with affect stability, with manic depression is a syndrome where the mood doesn't stay normally stabilized. It fluctuates wildly and spontaneously.
1:15:58🔗AdamOkay, now you're going to ask monkey, and monkey's going to go. He wants to know if you have your own brand of pedals. Ready? Talk loud. Go.
1:16:04🔗CallerMonkey, do you have your own brand of pedals?
1:16:38🔗CallerOkay. So it's a rumor. Okay. To the doctor. Yeah. 34, three kids, married 15 years. I would drive home every night from night school and I listen to you constantly saying, do it for the kids, do it for the kids, do it for the kids. I want to know at what point in a relationship do you stop doing it for the kids and stop doing it for the mom? And when is the husband at a point where he just needs to lose the wife? What point of abuse or...
1:17:10🔗DrewWell, one of the things, both people need to be willing to, A, play fair, B, make change, and C, continue working on it. And if you're having real serious problems, work on it with a professional supervision. And if one of the other is stalled out, not willing to work, not willing to change, and somebody's suffering at the hands of the other, that's probably not going to get better.
1:17:36🔗CallerOkay, because I'm the one that's not willing to work anymore. I was willing to work at 10 years, but it didn't click in for him until 13 years. Once I start back to school, I start going... working, and he doesn't want to deal with it, and then it's like, oh my god, I gotta start working at this, and I'm done. So he's doing everything he can to control the situation, and then there's no way you're getting a divorce, and I'll take all the money away from you, and I'll take away the kids, and you're nothing, and... So what... Is that a point where there's an impasse, and you just start fighting it, or do you just look back at the kids, and you go, no, you gotta do it for the kids? 13, 9, and 5.
1:18:22🔗DrewIn other words, now that you've checked out, suddenly he's motivated.
1:18:26🔗CallerOh, yeah. The last two years he's been highly motivated, but without receiving motivation, I went through, it's like, what's the morning phase of denial, anger? I mean, I went through the year, six months of denial, and then I went through just vicious anger, cops coming to my house every night, and then I went through his depression, where he was gonna kill himself, and he's just not hitting that acceptance mode, and I don't know if that means I just have to grit my teeth, because he's willing to take the kids to the butcher block, and I'm not willing to put the kids to the whole court situation.
1:18:59🔗DrewAnd you have had professional treatment?
1:19:02🔗CallerWe went to a marriage counselor twice, and he felt like he was set up because the marriage counselor was...
1:19:07🔗DrewAll right, Megan, you gotta keep, both keep going, and you gotta go for a long time if you're ready to work.
1:19:13🔗Jimmy KimmelMaybe another 15 years, and then it'll...
1:19:14🔗DrewNo, I think you can do a lot of good, but it's not going to do good in two sessions. It's going to take like a hundred sessions. It can take a while. And maybe you go twice a week, and maybe you go for a while, and maybe you both hang in to see if you can get some connection, go and get it working. I always hate to see people drift apart just because of... Because the kids, you deserve a chance of making this relationship work, at least you've not really given it that.
1:19:45🔗Jimmy KimmelWell, it's tough, you know. Glad it's not me. Hi.
1:20:16🔗CallerOkay, because I was like tripping out on that.
1:20:19🔗DrewYou want to be checked. You want to make sure you don't have polycystic ovarian syndrome or simple cyst or endometriosis or other causes like thyroid problems, things like that can cause regular periods. But provided you have an otherwise, you don't have any other medical problem, that may just be you.
1:21:25🔗DrewAll right, guys. Corin is here, Jonathan Fieldy. Jimmy is sitting in. Jimmy Kimmel for Adam Corolla. And we've got to take a little break. Be right back. Loveline, 1-800-LOVE-191. Back in a minute.
1:22:52🔗CallerNext year on my birthday, I want to get a tattoo and a piercing. I wanted to know what the side effects are of getting either an eyebrow piercing or a tongue piercing.
1:23:15🔗DrewTongue, I've seen a bunch of infected tongues. I always worry they're going to bleed. I worry about that tongue thing because it's so close to your airway. If it gets infected, swells or bleeds and swells, you're not breathing.
1:23:26🔗AdamYeah. With the tongue though, right when you take the piercing out, it closes within like 10 minutes.
1:23:31🔗DrewNo, I know it, but is that a good thing or a bad thing you're describing?
1:23:34🔗AdamBut it has cartilage, then cartilage builds up around it.
1:23:37🔗DrewThat's an okay thing. What's the problem is, when you're putting a knife through a part of your tongue that can bleed and swell massively real fast, it can include your airway.
1:23:45🔗CallerMy parents threatened me because I'm going to college next year too, and they said if I got my tongue pierced, they wouldn't pay for my tuition.
1:23:50🔗DrewWell, there you go. Don't get pierced.
1:24:16🔗CallerCool. Yeah, I'm like, if I was there with you right now, I'd be kissing your feet. Yeah. I'm going to do that.
1:24:26🔗Jimmy KimmelIt's good that you're not then.
1:24:29🔗CallerYeah. My question is, I got a few questions for you actually. One is about falling away from me. The second verse, what is the word for that starting out?
1:25:16🔗CallerI'm going to have to have you say that to somebody else. My other question is also about elementary records. I heard some other guy talking about he has a band and everything. Oh, so do I. I'm actually the singer for it, inspired by you, Mr. Davis. Thanks. I was just wondering why working you can the demo too. Like an address or something.
1:25:38🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelIt's easy. If anybody wants to send a demo to it, it's easy. There's an address on our album that you can send all the demos to and we'll get them and go through them.
1:27:38🔗DrewIt's a shattering experience. How do you develop the resources internally, emotionally, to be able to go out into the world and sort of be okay as yourself after somebody just abused you so awfully?
1:27:52🔗CallerIt's hard. I mean, it's hard just to wake up and say, okay, I'm going to go out and put on clothes, take a shower.
1:28:04🔗DrewWell, there are county health systems, wherever you are, there's always health available.
1:28:08🔗Jimmy KimmelAre there really? How do you find that? I think most people just go, people don't or screw them, I'm at the base up.
1:28:14🔗DrewYeah, no, they don't. There may be 20 bucks, but people don't understand that every county is responsible for providing health care for the population that can't afford it there. So you just go find out where your county resources are, county mental health services and get seen.
1:28:27🔗CallerProbably in town. I live in Madera County.
1:28:31🔗DrewWell, there's tons of resources up there. Check it out. Most cities have their own little internal resources. One of the things I'm trying to do is try to catalog all the different resources available in each town and then have people post their experiences in them.
1:30:03🔗CallerYeah. Two questions. Quick one for Korn, actually. John. It's said on your web page that you graduated from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science.
1:30:14🔗DrewI forgot that about you. We talked about that first time we were here.
1:30:34🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelActually, the Dilly. I went two semesters and then started doing apprenticeship. And then I got in the band, starting to get to finish.
1:31:16🔗CallerAnd my second one was for Drew. Yeah. I'm 24 and when I was 18, I had an abortion and I'm married now. And I'm pregnant and I'm on birth control. And we're not in a situation where we can take care of the child. I'm afraid of if I have a second abortion, what sort of damage it will do to my body.
1:31:39🔗DrewWell, each abortion carries a risk of some complication, right? And some of those complications can impact fertility, though it sounds like you're getting appropriate care and two abortions aren't necessarily associated with fertility problems.
1:31:55🔗DrewTwo abortions are not necessarily associated with fertility problems. There is a risk of procedure every time you do it, both the risk of bleeding and infection and the risks of some impact on fertility. But it's pretty phenomenal.
1:32:06🔗Jimmy KimmelWhy are you pregnant though if you're on birth control?
1:32:52🔗Jimmy KimmelWhy don't you give it up for adoption?
1:32:53🔗DrewGive it up for adoption of the possibility. I just hate to see somebody that's... It's not like she's 14 with no resources. She's somebody who's married and stable and is going to have a job. I hate to see people have an abortion in that situation. Alright, guys. Korn, thank you very much. Thanks. We're going to take a break and be back in just a second. Jonathan Fieldy from Korn. Thank you for joining us tonight.
1:33:51🔗KoЯn w/ Jimmy KimmelThank you for having us.
1:34:38🔗DrewThis is Dr. Drew signing off on Adam Corolla's behalf. We did a great job at the Billboard Awards tonight, and I am happy to give him a slight homage and say mahalo.
